5681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Resolved] 111 BTC AS FEES (don't do raw tx's when you're tired) on: January 10, 2013, 03:58:20 AM
Please try and help me out by pushing this raw tx if you can:

Code:
01000000012083d029fb7d82921aac5e36e02c152f8dd74e5798197f060ecdff0ed7cb7a3b010000008a4730440220231c75022c55603400521a0daba522afdf16f8a71b3c00108e00c15b0707f43202200ca00128831405020055183c83e0ed4e786fd6297dfc1da0718a22301a7e2b6001410478733799662c00333f074ce5b24935fe140572d83cf176989fdd260dea1609a07e42708fed07ad9c9d2ddfccf4451037dc380221b690abf740f30beaca94d80affffffff010092b2e3040000001976a914164ed07f460ece3dbc4c04509b75580b7bee736a88ac00000000

If I can't get it back via a doublespend then I hope that if the lucky miner is one of the major pools then they would consider making a generous donation to the CIYAM Project (as otherwise that is 100 BTC less I will have to pay people for tasks).
5682  Economy / Services / Re: Website Exploit and Server Penetration Testing on: January 09, 2013, 02:12:06 PM
I would just like to to say that I have paid 5 BTC (txid 5728734a6c577dc479e6b4a0693745e7d53836f2ea99481dde6326ae0f4ddf07) for this service and I think he has done a pretty straight up job.

Although my understanding of security is pretty good it is always helpful to get a good analysis of your server to make sure you haven't made any stupid mistakes.

Thanks for a good service Steven!
5683  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain.info Development Bounties on: January 09, 2013, 11:06:38 AM
Point taken, I'll try and coordinate it so two people are not working on claiming the same bounty. For the Android App redesign, which is much more involved, one person will be chosen and provided with a design brief / project specification. If nobody is interested I will probably post the job on elance or something.

I would be happy to create a project for you on CIYAM Open which will help you to manage the funding (you can fund individual tasks as well as have an address for Project Areas [which are nestable] and an overall Project address) and *no* bitcoins are stored on ciyam.org nor will you be charged any costs for this service (I am allowing the first 10 projects that are started on it to be fee free for life).

It already has a sophisticated bidding system (not bidding on price but on deliverable date) to let you decide upon which dev to "assign" the task to and each task can have "skills" attached (special tags) to which "points" get added to the user if the task is "completed" (and deducted if "rejected").

This stops the whole "multiple people competing for a bounty" problem and provides a clear and easy to follow approach to managing software projects (I managed a team of 6 devs for several years using a similar approach but with *hours* rather than *bitcoins*) and lets you make better informed decisions about which bid to accept by comparing the skills of the bidder.

It's a complete workflow system for funding and managing software development (and has had years of work put into it) so please at least take a look (http://ciyam.org/open).
5684  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY - 20 BTC] Audio/Modem-based communication library on: January 09, 2013, 01:45:03 AM
You'll know why I passed up QR code the first time you have to deal with transferring 4 MB between systems.

Ouch - yes that would be real pain (am only transferring a 1000 or so bytes at the most with my system).

By all means,  it should be an excellent solution most of the time,  for most users, but I didn't want to make that the core transfer mechanism for "regular" users.

Understood - it is more of a "duct tape" kind of solution (I did play in a few rock bands). Smiley
5685  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY - 20 BTC] Audio/Modem-based communication library on: January 09, 2013, 01:17:04 AM
Have you also considered QR code support (you are welcome to use the CIYAM Safe scripts at no cost)?
5686  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Open - a new way to develop web apps and fund open source projects on: January 08, 2013, 07:54:06 AM
As well as giving the CIYAM Safe a workout before I begin to fund tasks for CIYAM Open I will be adding some support in the next few days for automatically being able to register users (although if anyone is interested to join up now just send me a GPG encrypted message with your preferred user id and an initial password).
5687  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes for comms on: January 08, 2013, 03:54:41 AM
I've got nothing to do right now, so I'll start work on working on a quick set up so you can get a taster to decide if it's some thing you want.
It wouldn't be difficult at all; it just requires 'unpacking' the squash filesytem, updating your tools, and re-squashing, I'll give you a full write up on it if need be.

Great - as BCB has graciously decided to pass on the 2 BTC it will be awarded to this task.

And again thanks to all who have helped out - this topic itself has been a test of the "work model" that CIYAM has been developing and I think it's turned out pretty well.

Smiley
5688  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes for comms on: January 08, 2013, 03:51:13 AM
Trying it for the third time!

Wish I could be of more help - did you check the MD5 checksum (I think SUSE Studio can show you that)?

Hey I'll pass on the bounty!

Just want to see if I can get this working

That's very kind - and I am happy to have that 2 BTC put towards the Arch Linux version. Smiley
5689  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes for comms on: January 08, 2013, 03:42:11 AM
Also any latecomers please realise that as BCB was the 5th other member to post in this topic there is no further BTC up for grabs now (sorry but xmas is over now). Smiley
5690  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes for comms on: January 08, 2013, 03:38:04 AM
I'm copying http://susestudio.com/a/kp8B3G/ciyam-safe to a 4GB drive using Image Writer and I'm not able to get it to boot??

Am I missing a step?

Nope - that should work fine - corrupted image perhaps?

If you ever need a hand, let me know.
I could set you up with a smooth running Arch Linux based version in a couple of hours.

That would be much appreciated as I would be happy to keep a much smaller distro as a download from ciyam.org - if possible I would also want instructions on how to go about rebuilding the distro myself if I wanted to make changes to the CIYAM Safe tools - would that be very difficult?
5691  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (2 BTC still avail for testing) on: January 08, 2013, 03:06:22 AM
+1. If you model it off Puppy Linux, it'll be really tiny.

Actually I did start with Puppy but it all just got too hard trying to work out how to set it up (not being familiar with creating distros and having SSH only "online" access to Linux) so I went the SUSE Studio path for the convenience.

As stated I am willing to create a project on CIYAM Open for further work on this and to even donate some BTC towards it but I am far too busy with other things to spend more time on this "side project" (although the disto is bloated and the UI is clumsy it gets the job done which is all I need for CIYAM Open to safely handle its BTC).
5692  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [See first post for information] Bitcoins Direct - Private off exchange sales on: January 08, 2013, 02:42:35 AM
We are closed to new clients at this time.   Of course if you were looking to purchase some more coins for resale I don't see a problem with that. Smiley

If there are any Aussie clients of Tangible who would be interested in reselling BTC for AUD to myself directly please PM with your rate.
5693  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (2 BTC still avail for testing) on: January 08, 2013, 02:37:16 AM
Ok, I'm not too sure if I've got this right (My BTC address is in my sig):
The transaction http://blockchain.info/address/1DTtB3FgCsnEfjfBsivg2JNAYyzhxsgdxa

Private key for 1DTtB3FgCsnEfjfBsivg2JNAYyzhxsgdxa is 5JtayZzciFXqPcjLGsBxSTs6iQcneTDr6n3KMuVkmPwTBKsv53D.

2 BTC should be on its way to 1GEEKqKUf4WwdsQuRd3wjHVYHA8NxUg1rU (txid c1a7964c7016536e4c9e6f61ad31e2b7b34f53a867874a02c755ac1601fde3a0).
5694  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (4 BTC still avail for testers) on: January 08, 2013, 12:30:08 AM
I'll give this a shot.

Okay - I think if you have followed the thread you should see it's fairly straight forward.
5695  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ***Scammer*** c4n10 Loan Default on: January 08, 2013, 12:25:10 AM
As far as proving that the security testing has been done there are a few ways, you should have access to Apache access logs, SSH access logs and a log for connection attempts. If you would like to PM me your server's OS I can tell you where you should be able to find each of these and how to find my testing activity inside of those logs.

PM sent.
5696  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (4 BTC still avail for testers) on: January 07, 2013, 10:42:19 AM
I'm quite surprised. It's quite a simple task for the tech-savvys here

I think it's probably the fact that it is "testing" (which is why if no other takers I will tunnel the funds into some "programming" tasks that might have wider appeal).

BTW - if any of the posters here are interested in joining CIYAM Open then let me know (currently membership is limited to "invitation only") - basically this task is an example of how it will be run (i.e. a non-competing chance to demonstrate a provable result in a limited time-frame for a guaranteed BTC reward if successful and I will be personally investing at least 100 BTC to get the ball rolling).
5697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ***Scammer*** c4n10 Loan Default on: January 07, 2013, 10:32:17 AM
Although I don't normally pay much attention to "Scammer" threads I think I remember reading that "c4n10" has some skills in testing server security - so I could be willing to help him out with this situation if he wouldn't mind donating some time to some security testing for ciyam.org (the tricky part would be proving that the testing has actually been done - am open for suggestions about that).
5698  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (4 BTC still avail for testers) on: January 07, 2013, 10:10:29 AM
Well it is interesting that there is still 6 BTC available (2 BTC reserved for the 3rd poster who hasn't posted again yet and 4 BTC in the "pot") but seemingly no takers.

I will still keep the offer open for the 3rd poster until 48 hours after their post but if there are no other takers for this within 24 hours then I will use the funds left over to fund some other tasks on CIYAM Open (which may be more interesting to members who are programmers).

Also if John has any interest in furthering the CIYAM Safe project (such as changing the distro as he had mentioned) then I would also be happy to donate the remaining funds from this testing task towards that cause (as another project on CIYAM Open which he could manage as he sees fit).
5699  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (4 BTC still avail for testers) on: January 07, 2013, 05:27:13 AM
Okay.
In the signing stage, this command:
Code:
createrawtransaction "[{\"txid\":\"62f04f8ee14567ef9a052a56cbda2f7489ccdf17177658a728108c50d4f5c250\",\"vout\
":1}]" "{\"1PutTheAddressToSendToInHerexxxxx\":0.099}]"
tells me to use the same txid as above as there's no mention to me to change the txid.

Okay - have made a note about that one.

There's also other changes you should consider:
For one, you should include kWrite or some other text processing software to simplify stuff  during the making of small changes to the scripts or so. Also, you could use some other stripped down distro's to keep the space down - 2.7 GB for a couple of tools is a tad too big, and it's inefficient for older machines. (I experienced lagging on my netbook , had to switch to a new laptop to get this done).

Yup - when I start using this regularly for paying CIYAM Open devs I will most likely be whipping up another script or two to simplify the "text work".

The distro was really a question of how easily I could put it together and for me SUSE Studio wins hands down for simplicity (am not really a Linux guru and unfortunately I just don't have any spare time to be playing around with other distros so unless they have their own online SUSE Studio equivalent that I can get working in an hour or so then this is not likely to change).

I'm sure it would be possible, however, to "trim" the distro that I have created although I think it would be hard to shrink it down to say half the size it is now.

Thanks again for the suggestions!
5700  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] CIYAM Safe - offline tx's using QR codes (4 BTC still avail for testers) on: January 07, 2013, 04:55:47 AM
PS:The documentation section needs a better reworking - I find parts of it confusing and convoluted, especially at the signing stage.

Yup - I will be making some changes as per notes I've taken already but if you have other suggestions as to how to make it less confusing they would be appreciated (initially I only really wrote it for myself to use so no doubt I have left out some things that seem obvious to myself but not to someone new to raw tx's).
