5681  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Generating Bitcoin on the side? on: January 09, 2020, 12:56:01 PM
I have looked into may different websites that claim to use your pc to gather bitcoin,  in return for a small %. I am not sure but this doesnt seem very legit to me. Would it be more worth for me to invest in my own set up?
Actually lets clear some things here.

You can "mine" bitcoin. This is the official method to mint coins into the supply and that what mining rigs are used for. But to generate enough bitcoins to get a decent ROI (Return of Investment) you would need not one, not two, but several thousands of mining rigs along with electricity costs and maintenance costs. It is no longer consider profitable if done solo at your home.

Second, some site claim to install miners to mine some altcoins on your device and you can claim those coins later on once they reach a value. Avoid those, because they are installing malware and what not.

Third, there are cloud mining sites which sell contracts to hire mining rigs and you get paid for the mined coins. But in reality these are ponzi schemes, all of them, none are legit.

I hope you get your answer from this, if not let me know.
5682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The Social Phenomenon on: January 09, 2020, 07:47:57 AM
For those who are not devs they can help people about knowing what is bitcoin and how it can be used. What its pros and cons are and how it differs from fiat currencies.

While doing such promotions, one may face a lot of arguments that bitcoin might be a ponzi and a so on. So one should keep handy the the things that has been said in bitcoin wiki which can help counter some of the arguments, though not all. There are people who are hardcore anti-bitcoin, one might not want to attempt to convert them.

It is difficult to understand who might be the correct target population of such discussions but discussing among those who already know about bitcoin is less helpful though it might "feel good" because they all agree with you. It is important to teach people who do not know about bitcoin or have some little bit of exposure to it. They will be hostile towards your approach but this is what comes as the challenge.  Wink
5683  Economy / Reputation / Re: Thanks for destroying my account on: January 08, 2020, 06:34:46 PM
I meant topic, and i always use google translate.
So it seems you are confessing a truth that you are using a machine translation service to get your posts done. I assume this is because you are wearing a signature that "forces" you to make a certain quota per day? Well there are many members who also take part in many other campaigns but you must understand that taking part of other posts, half translating them from other sources and posting there here means stealing content. Which is not a good thing to do. You campaign manager need to be informed about this too.

Being able to take part in campaign is a privilege in this forum and not a right. Never force yourself to post. It only makes your post quality go down. Some of them should just be humble enough that theymos has kept the altcoins bounty section as it is even though it has slowed down by a little bit.

Quote
If anyone has an issue with those posts, then I can remove, just do not waste my account,
I think its too late for that. Also I am sure you didnt just come to this forum to start learning about bitcoin or this community. I wonder when theymos will start a ban evasion detector to this forum. They all just come in with a new persona after a ban, just make a new account and a new bitcoin address and you are all set.
5684  Other / Meta / Re: How to remove a false review from trustlist on: January 08, 2020, 07:34:11 AM
You can add those users to your distrust list, by adding a "~" before their usernames and enter them in the box. They are not in DT1/2 so you should not be bothered. Chances are that if they are considered as not trustworthy by other DT1/2 members then they would never end up in their trust lists which should be good for you.

Move this thread to "Reputation".
5685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: January 08, 2020, 07:13:53 AM
Because games and plays are constantly changing with different patches and so do the players, hence you must be knowledgeable first before gambling.
Some matches are fixed too. Even eSports is not free from these things. Of course doing your analysis on the teams and players and how they have fared previously on similar games will point you towards a conclusion, there will always be some luck factor involved and every game may not end up as your predicted it to be. Still more or less the top gamers are not going to win every game because they are often paid by bookies to run their game and they ask for some matches to get fixed.

Its like a part of the system. I am sure people have read about the story of "Daredevil" and thats how bad it can become when someone refuses to fix the match. Tongue
5686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is worth doing trade mining? on: January 08, 2020, 07:07:45 AM
First of all this trade mining was the recently upvoted buzzword being started by the Fcoin exchange. Then the nexybit exchange followed and they also did a similar staking process which led to their investors getting rewards everyday.

Soon enough the bubble burst and nexy turned scam telling their investors to "F-- off" and they sold off to some other company.

This is the problem with such exchanges offering something new as a passive income and making people greedy to keep their money there. One fine day they will exit scam and you wll fools will have nowhere to go complain or do anything of legal sort to get back a penny.

Therefore treat these trade mining exchanges with caution.
5687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto ambassadors and influencers on: January 08, 2020, 07:04:48 AM
Hello. Anyone with a big crypto community behind them doing influencing and ambassador work? Specially in Asia. Or where can you find this kind of services?
You would get much better responses if you visit youtube and locate the crypto influencers there. Boxmining if from Asia and they are doing such work. The best way to contact them would be through their business email listed on their youtube page. Make sure you use the proper email and remember that they will never email you first. Otherwise it is an impersonator trying to scam you.

There are several other youtubers too. Do some of your own research there to find out. Wink

Here you will get some people acting like wannabe influencers but trust me, none of them are professional. You will not get anything worth the money you would be willing to spend.
5688  Economy / Lending / Re: Need Loan 0.1 Btc on: January 07, 2020, 08:06:44 AM
I do not know the reason but I think at least 80% loan request from newbie is alter from an old member.
Likely, they try to hide. But as far as no proof that can be dug up, it can be left aside.

Yes bro Browone read carrefuly what I have told to shasan I told him that I know this forum since 3 years but I have already registred
Why the unnecessary lies? It is not a difficult thing to browse your post history and find out that the first post that you made is asking for a non collateral loan. Even a small amount of honesty is so rare these days.

Did you have an account here before making this account? If so what was the username of that account and why you did not ask a loan from that one with or without collateral? Some lenders have allowed non collateral loans from to older users provided they sign a message from that account's address using that address.
5690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Bet Or Gamble Before New Year, Or On The New Year on: January 07, 2020, 07:01:33 AM
Because Christmas and New Year celebrations are similar to each other, after the two holidays have finished, I would prefer to do it. Since there are plenty of extra costs for the event such as food, presents and gambling extra money is not a wise one to budget for all the expenses. I don't want to lose the money that i actually need.
Well it has been one week of the new year and the OP is nowhere to be seen in this thread. Grin

I am sure he spent his money well on food and booze and maybe some other stuff but I hope he didnt waste it on gambling like everyday else. Of course nobody wants a bad start to the year by getting a bad bust. But treat this just as another day in the life of a common man. Nothing special there if the casino is running a same algorithm. They dont give you benefits for playing on Holidays, except some bonuses.

I think it is time now to close this thread.
5691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts about Bitcoin adoption on: January 07, 2020, 06:58:19 AM
I think that if we talk about mass adoption, it should mean that Bitcoin is largely recognized as a payment method. So I'm talking about the reality where you don't have to look for specific stores to use Bitcoin but can go to your regular ones and use Bitcoin to pay for groceries.
The number of stores accepting bitcoin is still just a handful but more and more merchants are gradually coming in. Besides Bitrefill is a good place to buy gift card to redeem and use the credit to buy things on Amazon if that is what you are looking for.

Quote
I know, scalability. It's indeed a serious problem. Is the Lightning Network the only solution? Is it even a realistic solution?
You should take a look at what LN is and how it operates. This will clear this doubt. It is the next step.

Quote
Now, I realize it won't solve all of the problems, because if there are too many transactions that are being put through like that, the number of unconfirmed transactions will be building up. However, I think it could be a solution for a less significant adoption step or as a temporary measure. What do you think about all that?
Well I think this is a problem of the debit card system. It is something that you have to accept if you want to use a debit card. Now the bitcoin payment does not work like it, money is sent instantly just waits for the miner to mine that block in which it gets included and the money is sent. Take a shorter time but both has its own pros and cons.
5692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How easy is it to start your own crypto exchange? on: January 07, 2020, 06:48:09 AM
One of the biggest problems is trying to set up anew exchange is the problem with local regulatory systems. You have to follow them even if you are a CEX or a DEX. These days government is cracking down on every operator and making them KYC compliant to force them to give the transaction data of their users. This seems bad to us but for the government it is necessary to keep money laundering under check. Most of the users here may not be doing criminal laundering but there are people who do this.

Apart from that, you have to develop the DEX first, then have a source of funds ready, keep hot wallets and cold wallets in proper shape, maintain the system and take care of customer service.
5693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: UNFAIR TREATMENT OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS on: January 07, 2020, 06:45:27 AM
Honestly, I have been in bounty campaigns for 3 years now, and maybe for the whole of 2019 I was not participating in anymore (unless you call a signature campaign a bounty,,, which it is strictly speaking) and I know the simple truths.
Again bitcoin paying campaign are still running well even if the market is a bit bearish. That shows that the demand for the leader of cryptocurrencies is always there. Hence I always ecourage people to move on from shitcoin bounties to bitcoin paying campaigns. But the truth comes out there because they are not willing to do this change since getting into a signature campaign needs a good post quality and bounty hunter have a poor one there.

Quote
People who complain do not usually deserve to get anything at all. I have seen all types of bounty hunters and even as one myself, 99% of them are beggars and people who expect free money.
Go a bit easy on them. They have tried to abuse ICO campaigns so much that they sold their logical thinking away. The demand for bounty hunters runs from the low economy countries and so they are still there but the number has reduced.

Quote
I think the world is unfair and we should get used to it. Stop supporting stupid projects and move on.
They still believe that these "stupid" projects will be able to become the next bitcoin. Cheesy
5694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What matters most to online casinos? on: January 06, 2020, 11:12:38 AM
Most of the casinos have maximum reward for single bet so if you are not finding the maximum bet or reward amount then its possible scam
Seems a bit vague to me, because you can ask the support team about maximum bet reward if you are concerned about it. That does not necessarily mean that the site is scam. If you find bets to be not verifiable on third party verifiers then it is a scam. Often new sites dont show their maximum win value but they do incorporate it in the information somewhere else.

Quote
and also no one can consider giving more profits is the best site because profits are just random and if it got increased then you are lucky while betting on that site.
Can you please explain this further? Your statement does not make any sense to me. Why would a site suddenly give you bigger profit if you have not done anything yourself? Even if they do why are you even bothered about it? Of course I may have misunderstood which is why I ask you to rephrase it.
5695  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What’s Stopping Crypto Markets from Entering the Mainstream on: January 06, 2020, 11:02:29 AM
One of the reasons is that prices are not always stable. At times for months it is stable and then suddenly moves abruptly.
Point to note here that for the last 2years bitcoin price swing range has been less than 5%. Those who are citing volatility are making a wrong conclusion. Volatility would be there if you consider the time range to be more than 4-5 years. But that is absurd. Actually this is a cognitive bias used by nocoiners to make bitcoiners look bad. Just check the price charts and you will realize what I tried to say.

Quote
Another thing is that not all government supports it considering it can create a risk to their existing country’s currency.
Governments wont accept bitcoin so easily. They have fiat and they like it. They dont want their money transfers on a public blockchain and showing all their corruption. So they wont accept bitcoin anytime soon.
5696  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are we going to have a profitable bounty hunting in 2020? on: January 06, 2020, 10:56:31 AM
Last year was not a profitable year for bounty hunters like us, but as we are embracing a new year, a new hope has live.

so do you believe that we will have a good bounty year? if yes, why?
The bounty hunting days are over my friend. Its time not be nostalgic about them and move on to better and bigger things. All the ICO/IEO/STO/another Initial Blah blah offering that happened turned upside down after Dec 17 and now they are scraping for private funding secretly or development in order to get some traction.

At this point the fund raising that happens for projects also repeat the same outcome. Dont consider these to be profitable anymore. Its like throwing the stone in the dark and expecting gold to return back. Better to focus on bitcoin paying signature campaigns or skill development for service offering.

5697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you not relented in viewing your account wallet? on: January 06, 2020, 10:46:54 AM
What's the use of looking at your wallet when you know what you are trading and how much gains you are having in your trades.
This happens when you have a big portfolio, maybe some of which were bought by fake pumps making the person greedy to buy them. These types of people do exist and it is the reason why ICOs which turned useless have been existing and still continue to raise money in the name of another ICO/IEO or something.

Quote
Looking at your wallet won't increase your profits but will surely make you worry from time to time.
It only increases the mental trauma. If the person is confident of their coins to go up then there is no need to check them everyday but only when ordering a trade of buy/sell. You need to have nerves of steel to remain alive in this market which is way more risky than stocks or commodities. But I am sure this type of practice is not going to help anyone.
5698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Have PayPal<> Need ETH on: January 05, 2020, 03:18:37 PM
You can post up here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 but i doubt that anyone would trust up such transaction knowing that PP chargeback issue.

A sane user would not deal with the OP. Paypal trades are risky because of the chargeback issue and this is the case where they can get scammed. Simply the OP would take ETH and send PP to the trader and then a few months later do a chargeback to scam them. The sad part is that the person who gets scammed will not be able to make any sort of appeal against it.

OP does not have any prior trading feedback, which makes it very suspicious.

Here is another shady thread by the same user : [Job offering] For hard working peoples who want a source of income!

5699  Economy / Lending / Re: Requesting a loan of 0.2BTC loan until 1/10/2020 on: January 05, 2020, 12:21:05 PM
Lol, so I get a negative trust because of asking for a loan?
You have asked for a non collateral loan where you offer something like an advance payment as "collateral" but it is not accepted as a valid one,

I suggest you to read here - [EDU] The Rule of "No Collateral, No Loan" - IGNORE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

This shows that beyond reasonable doubt you are trying to take someone's money and not return it in time because here nothing traceable is given by you neither it can be used in a court of law to extort the lent money to you.

Quote
You do realize you have the ability to deny the loan, right?
Irrelevant.

Quote
Your negative trust is dumb and unwarranted. Some childish crap because you have nothing better to do.
It will mark you as scammer and prevent anyone naive from trusting you with your money. Thats how this forum works. If you dont like it, leave it.
