Then you just conclude that Green is a useless player hehe. It's not about the productivity but the overall performance. It's common to lose that everybody in Warriors is struggling. If he is nothing without Steph and Klay, then no team will have interest on signing him in the future and worst, the Warriors might consider trading him despite he is a part of their championship run. I didn't even hearing his name in some rumors that a team shows interest to him.
It's true. Overall performance can keep you in one team even if you are not a shooter.
Then, there is impact, being a team player and so much more to offer than just being an offensive player.

Yes, impact players that can only play like 10 minutes, but once they are inside the court, the game changes, the complexion goes into their favour.

Look at KD, he had been jumping in different teams and so does Kyrie and Kawhi. They are not the type to be a team player but mostly isolations.

I think KD just wanted to taste the water outside and win championships, and he had experience that with the GSW. And maybe Kobe will be the last great franchise players we will see in the league.

Playmakers such as Draymond Green and Marcus Smart are different. They may not be ball handlers or with high dribbling skills but they can manage the plays and can lead using high IQ. Lebron is doing the same thing when he got older.

And they could also be a good mentor as well for their rookies and teach them how to become a great player. And then motivating the experience one like what he did to Curry, Thompson and even KD when he was still with GSW.
5682  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 06, 2021, 11:07:55 PM
Right, and now that he has Canelo's attention, it will be very bad for Caleb for bringing this as this is provoking Canelo. Alvarez has seen a lot and for sure he was not affected by it. And worst this can be his final motivation to really put a punishment on Caleb's big mouth. I'm seeing the best version of Canelo is this fight and I will not be surprised if the fight doesn't last a distance. So Caleb better be prepared now that he uses this strategy that will backfire on him.

Caleb has an enviable record in professional boxing until now (12 KOs out of his 21 wins, with no losses). But he has never faced an opponent of the caliber of Canelo. His last three opponents were Caleb Truax, Vincent Feigenbutz and Mike Lee (all three faced him for the IBF super middleweight title). These opponents can't even be compared to Canelo. And Caleb has again made some controversial statements. It is interesting that I haven't heard much from Canelo for the last few days. Caleb has been doing all the talk.

Canelo doesn't talk that much in public, and if ever he opens his mouth, he don't trash talk, he talks more of the fight itself rather than his opponent. That's why he is quiet right now, just occasional post in his official twitter promoting the fight, that's it.

This is Caleb's biggest fight so far, and his record is on that line, because Canelo might take that 0.

Well, with the Caliber of Canelo Alvarez, it's unlikely that Caleb will win. Canelo will look to fight an undefeated fighter as that's what the opponent can only be proud of as they have not fought a high-caliber boxer in their life. I am not underestimated Caleb Plant, but he should double his hard work to last in this fight and possibly wins it.

Right, Canelo is far more superior, has the experienced to really beat any version of Caleb Plant.

He is even voted or name as the number 4 marketable athlete in the world (this could be debatable).

https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-named-worlds-most-marketable-male-athlete-anthony-joshua-no-75-gervonta-davis-no-89--160261

So let's see what version of Caleb Plant will show, yes we don't underestimate him, but even if he works double hard, it might not be enough for beat Canelo in this fight.
5683  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - October 5 on: September 06, 2021, 02:36:45 PM
^^ Yes, both is pressured, Kambosos to proved that he is a good and worthy challenger and he can back up this trash talking, and Lopez demonstrate that he is a pound for pound, after winning against Loma. And that's why this fight is really exciting and may the best man win here, although the ML is one Teofimo Lopez as he is the defending champion.
To be honest, I want Lopez to win this and utterly destroy Kambosos given that he's the one talking smack in this bout. And if it's not the case, I wouldn't be proud that Kambosos is the winner because of his behavior.

Hehehe, just a typical Australian smack talking, it's probably in them to really trash talk their opponent and boxing is one sports wherein they can do it to to get to their opponent skins because this is also a mental game.

Yes, Lopez can also talk smack and then destroy you in the ring. But George is not going to back down, that's why this fight is going to be a war as no one yielding.
5684  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull market is back on: September 06, 2021, 12:41:16 PM
not sure about this some techinal says it would only touch 53K and Go down, there's some says it just bull trap

but to be honest when i replying this i just lost money causing by bitcoin wave :')

I'm not sure as well about this bull trap, the current pattern is that we will try to break a big psychological barrier, lets say $48k or $50k. Then it will dip a bit, but above support level, and then we will go again and breach it. So that pattern is not a bull trap in my opinion.

So sorry to hear that you lost money in the current run, I guess you do short trading, which is not advisable in a bull run because you will get REKT.

5686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not make curiosity to people around you while you are playing gambling. on: September 06, 2021, 10:33:53 AM
So how are you playing gambling? Did you play alone in your rooms or in your home or in the public area or do you have a special room just to spend your time to playing gambling?

When I was a little kid, I saw people around me gamble, I mean the environment when I grow up.

In the house, we will just play friendly games with money, just to have some fun. But when I go out, I started to play with money with the intention to profit, but of course that time I didn't know what I'm doing, maybe because of the influence around me or something.

But now that I'm a parent, probably my kids hear me playing, but I mostly played outside, and land base casino, while online, yeah, just me alone in the room away from them.
5687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 06, 2021, 10:03:00 AM
This is what Oscar Valdez says:

Quote
"I have never used banned substances to improve my performance. I never have and never will. I am respectful of anti-doping tests since my time as an amateur and now as a professional," Valdez said.

"And since I've been a professional I have undergone more than 30 anti-doping tests, which is something we always ask for and we make sure that [drug testing] is in the contract, to do the VADA tests to keep the sport clean and to make sure that no one has any advantage."

https://www.boxingscene.com/oscar-valdez-i-never-banned-substances-improve-my-performance--160320

Yeah, we take his word, but seriously, how can someone who says who didn't take any ban substance was caught here? His A and B sample turns out to be positive, if it is only A sample, probably he get it from somewhere else, but both his samples are positive.

So I agree with some posters that he might have used this one to mask some other substance, or his condition coach forgot about the recycling calendar.
5688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Warrington vs Lara II -Sept 4 on: September 05, 2021, 11:07:32 PM
Just looking at the first two rounds, it seems that Warrington didn't learn any from the first time, except many try to push Lara and jab more. But he will be worn out by that style and probably loss this fight again.

Anyhow, I will be locking this thread, no need to discuss it even as the fight ends on a head clash with no winner. If the rematch happens (which I don't see happening), then I will reopen this or create a new thread. Too bad for us who beat on this fight.
5689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: September 05, 2021, 10:44:44 PM
With the latest news, I guess we will not anymore see this fight happen this year.

Inoue and Casimero already confirm that they will fight in December, as long as the contract will be reported sign by the two, then we can lock this thread for a while as we have speculated too much already here.
Casimero had give out some hints or words that the fight will be on December which this do somehow put up this Donaire vs Inoue fight is not that possible or not likely to happen.

And if the fight eventually happens, it's a win already for Casimero, hehehe, he just used his mouth against Inoue and boom, fight happens. hehehe. But we need to wait for the contract to be sign and officially announce.

Inoue vs Donaire will obviously will be push through, might be a good time for Donaire to just wait for the winner of Inoue vs Casimero.
5690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 05, 2021, 10:22:45 PM
I'm not saying the Achilles injury won't affect Klay's Thompson shooting % but I see he can adjust right away and back to his usual form once he returns to playing on the court. The reason is, majority of his moves was catch and shoot. Yes, it requires great footwork but mostly, the pressure is on his shooting.

Once returned, he just needs to refrain from attacking the paint until his confidence to do it comes back. Warriors will be deadly next season even other teams improved. We saw how Curry makes lots of crazy scores last season and they become noticeable even with a bad record. Now with the help again, I'm expecting he will be on his usual form and not that owning all offense by the team.

Yeah, but I don't think he can still stop from attacking, if it permits. He should be fine as well, just some time to get back and adjust. We've seen Durant recovered already and others who goes with the same injury and return back as normal.

Fans are really missing Klay, but we can wait to see him play early next year, everyone is anticipating that he will return and bring back the splash brothers, can't wait to see him and Steph on the court again.
5691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Seriously! three times...the individual vs. combined probability. on: September 04, 2021, 11:13:13 PM
Yes, this is a classic example of Probability of Events, we gamblers are so bias that we didn't see this occurring, but when it happens, this kind of favourable outcome is hard for us to grasp and understand. I'e seen this happening when I also played roulette, and I just scratch my head because the way chances and probability works against us in gambling.
5692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Warrington vs Lara II -Sept 4 on: September 04, 2021, 10:50:03 PM
Final weigh-in video below, go fast forward 39:19.

Both of them have no problems making the weight for this fight. But unlike the first fight, it seems that their are intense in their face off, couple of shoving and Josh is animated to avenge his lone defeat. Hard to predict this fight, yes as I have said, Josh will box his way to win in this fight. But I'm worried that he might be caught with an awkward left again.

Best of luck to those who are going to bet in this fight.

Edit: the fight ended in two round technical draw, damn!.
5693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 03, 2021, 01:05:36 PM
Re-opening the thread as Oscar Valdez was cleared.

Quote
BoxingScene.com has learned that Mexico’s Valdez was approved to move forward with his scheduled September 10 clash with Brazil’s Robson Conceicao (16-0, 8KOs), which will air live on ESPN+ from AVA Amphitheater at Casino del Sol in Tucson, Arizona. The bout was previously in jeopardy due to Valdez having tested positive for Phentermine, as discovered through drug testing as contracted through Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).

However, a ruling handed down by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Athletic Commission permitted Valdez to proceed with the fight. The argument presented by Valdez’s team—including the claim that the substance in question was discovered during what is deemed as out-of-competition by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) code—along with other undisclosed factors was enough for the unbeaten boxer to receive clearance to fight next week.

https://www.boxingscene.com/oscar-valdez-cleared-by-presiding-commission-move-forward-with-conceicao--160295

So let's see if Valdez is affected mentally by the positive results. But in case that Valdez won, for sure the camp of Robson will make an excuse and point out the argument for the Phentermine drug.
5694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the last quarter of 2021, prepare for the profit coming. on: September 02, 2021, 02:05:54 PM
I can smell new all time high this December, hehehe, but there's a big if, as obviously, we uses TA to predict future price but it is not an exact science, and we all know how volatile the market is.

However, we still have some big change coming and this is the Taproot proposal. It might be comparable to Segwit upgrade in 2017, wherein it was one of the catalyst for the eventual bull run till December. So who knows, this might be the final push to a new all time high of at least 6 digits.

And this kind of news will trickle down to altcoin market for sure.
5695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 02, 2021, 01:15:31 PM
Capela has nothing to prove anymore, he played his role very well in the playoffs so we can still expect the same if the Hawks will again enter in the playoffs.

Back in Rockets, he also plays a big role why Rockets always end up in a good position every season but the team just lacks at the playoffs run.

With Hawks, I think that was the first time Capela first experience playing in the Conference Finals. Now with a much competitive Eastern Conference, the battle will be more tough and difficult as some teams are working on their lineup improvement.

I want to see them at ECF again but not expecting.

If I'm not mistaken, he was also injured during their playoff run but they did good with him and Trae.

So it is expected that he will be rewarded handsomely with a new contract and the Hawks didn't disappoint as as they keep him and others for another run next season. And as Capela matures and gain experience last playoff, for sure he will up his game. Yes, it will be a tough battle in the East, but they are capable of surprising us again, maybe this time improving their position to 3rd spot at least.
5696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: September 01, 2021, 11:40:29 PM
Gamblers will always find a way how to bet on their sports. This is just one way to limit their credit card usage. Maybe, the government is also receiving complaints from these credit card providers so they take action where they have control over with. But I do agree that these regular gamblers, they can go beyond their means if they need to just to gamble.

I doubt that the credit card providers are going to complain to the governments because some holders are not paying or can't pay. It's not a lost for them, banks are big, it won't put a dent on their business, on the contrary it's a win-win for them. The only reason why governments are going this far is that they want to control gamblers, or at least not to get them addicted but I don't think it will work in the long run as gamblers will always go and beyond and find another way to continue playing with cold cash.
The other way to get around this measure could be by using cryptos. Then I like this kind of regulations against fiat gambling because it benefits to cryptocasinos and cryptosportsbooks at the end, and to crypto adoption more broadly speaking.

Yeah, it could be, but not sure if there are credit card providers that will allow you to buy crypto though (I tried once, but it didn't go through, besides I hear members saying that the banks are not allowing them). Maybe the best option is to buy crypto p2p.

Anyhow, the point is that they can't put a stop on this gamblers per se. They are 'invented' and will always  find some loophole and exploit this ban and continue with their gambling.
5697  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin might be ready to pump similar to December 2020 on: September 01, 2021, 11:18:59 PM
Everyone is expecting a big pump at the last quarter, so yeah, we could see similar pump or even in the higher end come December. And many of us have predicted a $100k or more price this 2021, and so it seems that there is a positive sentiments about it. Also we have Taproot in November, I think this one will be huge for the market as this will be the catalyst for the eventual run to 6 digits, so it's very exciting year end run again.
The story is repeating itself, during the 2017 bull run we had the activation of segwit and this was one of the main reasons why bitcoin grew so much at the end of the year since this allowed developments like the lightning network to take place and which are slowly gaining popularity.

Right, who can't forget the 2017 bull run? Segwit and then we have the bitcoin future contract offerings (CME and CBoE) that really fast charge the bull run to almost $20k ath that time.?

Now we are seeing the same, after an early growth during the year we saw a correction and then the price remained stable for some months preparing the stage for another update on the network and a huge bull market at the end of the year, it is better that people prepare themselves as I think bitcoin could reach even 200k during that time and if many institutional investors reveal they have been accumulating coins in secret the price could go even higher than that.

Hopefully, history repeats itself at the end of the year. The prediction is at least $100k minimum, so hopefully we can reach it with many institutional money coming in and of course retail investors who doesn't want to miss the bandwagon with FOMO in the last quarter.
5698  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing]: Warrington vs Lara II -Sept 4 on: September 01, 2021, 10:47:07 PM
This coming weekend we're going to see another exciting fight, Warrington vs Lara II. Josh lost to Mauricio in the first fight, but at that time, he is 30-0, former champion and the huge favourite to win that fight. But clearly he was beaten in his own soil by Lara from Mexico.

For sure, Warrington went into hell but it seems that he can recovered mentally as he requested a rematch and wants redemption. On Lara's part he wanted to proved that it was no fluke.

You can watch the highlights of the first fight here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUKdjN9OUxg

And here is the betting odds, Lara is no longer a huge underdog, but Warrington is still the slight favourite.

I think Josh will box his way through a decision win here. He can't go brawl with Lara this time as the Mexican has the power and a tough chin as well.
5699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 01, 2021, 02:30:01 PM
It is looking likely that this fight will get cancelled. Valdez tested positive for the stimulant phentermine. It was out of competition so the local boxing commission doesn't necessarily have to suspend him but he will probably lose his world title since he is being tested as part of the WBC Clean Boxing Program.

Valdez is using the excuse that the substance was in an herbal tea and he took it unknowingly. That is an incredibly weak excuse so it is likely he was using it for something prohibited. In my opinion he should be stripped of the world title and suspended for the next six months.

Thanks for the update so I'm going to lock this thread for good as obviously, this fight will not happen.

For those who ware asking why it is considered a ban substance, maybe this explanation from Victor Conte (who himself was a drug peddler), can help:

Quote
ESPN quotes Victor Conte, who once did time for planning to distribute PEDs before becoming a clean sport activist. “You know why it’s a performance-enhancing drug?” He asked rhetorically of phentermine. “Because it’s a central-nervous stimulant…it accelerates your heart rate. It gives you energy. It gives you endurance. It gives you stamina. It makes it easier to breathe. Your training time to exhaustion would be much longer.” Clearly, such things as stamina and endurance can help a fighter in the ring. In short, Valdez may have ingested a substance which might give him an advantage when facing Conceicao.

https://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/oscar-valdez-reportedly-tests-positive-for-banned-substance-phentermine/

I'm so disappointed with Valdez, so there's no one to blame here but himself.
5700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: August 31, 2021, 10:05:28 PM
That's very strict in my opinion, nevertheless, the government has the total power to control everything so gamblers in Ireland can't do anything about it. But gamblers will be gamblers, this is just one step, but they will always find a way to bet on any sports regardless of this credit card bans. So I don't think they can really curb upon gambling in their country, on the contrary it might get worst as those gamblers will find a way to continue their activity or worse their addiction through loan sharks.

Gamblers will always find a way how to bet on their sports. This is just one way to limit their credit card usage. Maybe, the government is also receiving complaints from these credit card providers so they take action where they have control over with. But I do agree that these regular gamblers, they can go beyond their means if they need to just to gamble.
