He might be scared already and finding some excuses to distract his opponent, and yes when he losses he might use this one to protect his own reputation. He can't back out now, and instead of making a distraction on Canelo's training, I think the result will be the opposite, he will be the one who will be distracted here as he will lose focus on his goal, while Canelo will train harder to punish Plant when they meet in the ring. I think we should just let this go, it's not new in boxing, even the two heavyweights Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder have been throwing cheap talks against each other. Yes, this is what we call marketing ploy, for sure he has been training his ass off for this fight. But sometimes boxers fine a way to ignite some fire to the fight and make the media talk about it.

Of course this is just allegations from his side, and no one can really tell if Canelo is on peds or not. Even Manny Pacquiao during his prime was accused of having peds as well.

The accusations just come into light now because Canelo's stablemate and Eddy Reynoso's prize pupil, Oscar Valdez was caught with a ban substance. That's why Plant was very quick to jump into conclusions that Reynoso's fighters might have been taken an illegal drugs to have advantage. But I'm far as I'm concern, the Canelo drug testing is over, he was exonerated by boxing bodies and they accept the reasoning that it come from a tainted beef.
