5701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2020 on: November 16, 2019, 11:37:44 AM

Personally, I think that 2019 was not quite half the year, and even there was a time when the cryptocurrency exchange rate was pleased with good prices. And now I believe that 2020 will be very promising for the development of cryptocurrency. And such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and many others will give a good chance for investment. And cryptocurrency holders will be able to profit well.
It's good that the last quarter atleast gives us hope to still like 2019 since the prices increases unlike last year. My top 5 will be BTC,xlm, link, bnb and ETH or XRP. I just hope that halving, eth 2.0 will great impact next year.

There are many promising alts, we can't deny that. But its too late to discuss about investin in 2020, many of us still hold coin from years ago. Maybe it would be better for us to buy some more of what we hold, prices are bottomed, than to invest in some new ones. Its my opinion, but its the decision each of us has to made.

5702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 mistakes every crypto trader should avoid on: November 16, 2019, 09:19:52 AM
Previously, for the information you provided is very useful for beginners and crypto traders in general, I think many who have talked about the mistakes made by crypto certainly do not forget that there are many beginners who do not analyze and want to learn before they trade in crypto. everyone is different way of thinking and different ways they trade to make money from crypto without thinking that they will get a loss. Because a professional trader is good at finding opportunities and space to move to increase profits
I think that today has been all dedicated to educating the newbies because I have read several posts today all being directed to what the newbies are doing that is causing them mistakes and losses in their trade which of the post is this one. The issue I found with most new traders is that they want to quickly eat from the cake forgetting that this kind of cake would require them to learn how-to bake it first and make it done before they can eat it.

Traders needs to have a sound and very string education background about trading before they think of taking upon themselves the risks that is associated to trading. There is a need for them to actually do lots of analyses in trading, of which they would not be able to do so without looking out there for someone or something that will make them have the pure understanding.

Like you said, if you wish to eat a cake you need to learn how to bake it! Its same with doing analyses, you need to learn about how to do it and then to try to do it.
Many people get carried away with idea of profit, except the profit they don't see anything else, and that's the first mistake newcomers make when they start with trading. And lets be real with one thing, trading is not for everyone! At least daily trading is not for everyone. Long term investments are something else, you can invest in coin and just wait, if you don't know in which one just put your money in bitcoin or ethereum, among some other reputable coins.
Its hard to be focused all the time in trading, especially if you have other things to do. To keep that concentration entire time, and to not make a mistake, you need to be very strong personality. I still make mistakes, even I'm trading for years! But its one more skill, to handle the loss and to get up again and continue with trading.
5703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest based on the "telegram community" on: November 16, 2019, 07:17:49 AM
Its easy to make telegram community, cause you can invite and add people in your group. Everyday I see that I'm a member of a few new groups, someone added me, I cant even keep the track about that anymore. Add to that many bots.
I would like to add one thing, do not invest based on one source! No matter what your source is, check it! Don't relay on just one place, it never ends good. When its about your money don't be lazy, check informations you got on several places and you will have better picture about the project you wish to invest in.
5704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Realistic 3x - 5x on: November 15, 2019, 08:02:10 PM
Its realistic to expect 3x -5x from many coins in top100! To continue in that manner, its realistic to expect that to happen in next 2-3 years, and some of them will probably get there faster. If we remember the prices from 2017, for many of them just returning to that price level will mean 3x - 5x, and if they make new all times high prices that will be even higher rise. And some will do that, make new ath, some will not. I like most of the coins I saw in comments, and I hold some of them, now we just need to wait and see what will happen.
5705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now is the time to invest into alt coin on: November 15, 2019, 03:32:34 PM
Yes, now is the best time to invest in alts, but it is also the most risky time as well.
Alts are cheap, but also many projects just seize to exist, exitscam or get hacked due to
the lack of support or patching.
Those scam projects exist for the exact reason you mentioned and unfortunately, there is another choice for the crypto community except the educating the newcomers. There is no right or wrong time for making investment decisions but having decent skills for controlling risky trades without emotions has always helped the crypto investors to maintain their profits in both bull-bear markets.

There are many scam projects around, but mostly those are new projects. I think newcomers should stick with old and proven coins, the ones that exist for years, that have strong communities, strong and active times that work on development.
Many people are driven by the profit, new projects promise fast ROI and huge profits, people fall on that trap and they get scammed, we cant help them, some of them needs to make a mistake and only then to learn more about crypto.
5706  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: November 14, 2019, 04:48:08 PM
I didn't notice this topic before, its interesting to know how much money is stolen in crypto. I made a quick research about this topic and I found some interesting informations. One of the articles I would like to share is https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/29/crime-still-plague-cryptocurrencies-as-1point7-billion-was-stolen-last-year-.html, in 2018 1.7 billion dollars was stolen from investors! Of that total, around 1 billion was taken from exchanges. You can read more about it in this article.
One more interesting article is https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeanbaptiste/2019/08/15/hackers-stole-over-4-billion-from-crypto-crimes-in-2019-so-far-up-from-1-7-billion-in-all-of-2018/#9691c9055f58, we have the same trend in 2019, hackers stole over 4 billion dollars, up from 1.7 billion in all of 2018. Interesting beginning of the article "2019 is shaping up as the year of the “exit scam” according to a new study" and when you think about it, it really is like that, we have seen many exit scams this year.
Well I wish you good reading, articles are very interesting, I will try to find more about this, I would like to find some numbers about how much money hackers took since the beginning of crypto, I doubt I can find accurate info about that, but even some rough calculation would be good.
5707  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to control your emotions while trading?👨🏼‍💻 on: November 14, 2019, 01:09:53 PM
Don’t be looking at the charts all the time;❌ - that is. When you know about yourself that you lose emotional balance when something goes wrong, it’s better to set your take profit and loss goals and close the chart.

Its setting up buy and sell orders, to be more accurate. I do that sometimes, and it really helps. Watching charts and waiting the price to move in direction you want can make me nervous, so setting up an order and closing the exchange window helps sometimes. Of course its not possible to do that all the time, some times you need to be online and active all the time to catch some good trade, but those moments trading is interesting and make me excited.
5708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid falling into a FOMO trap on: November 14, 2019, 09:01:08 AM
Do not listen what influencers like McAffee says, and do your own research!

This is a good one, and lets add to that many other influencers! Many of them are taking money for that, and they talk about what they are paid for. In McAfee case its a proven thing. I follow many of them and I read what they wrote, and in many cases its funny. I wouldn't trust them with my money.
Do a research, and make your own decision is the best thing anyone can do. Avoiding FOMO, FUD, and other stuff is hard, they are always be here, on forums, social networks, who is active cant miss that. Only thing is focusing on your choices and interests, let others do their talking and you do what needs to be done!
5709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you Believe Volume of the Coinmarketcap? on: November 14, 2019, 08:15:33 AM
Do you Believe Exchange Volume of the Coinmarketcap?
Also Do you believe exchange volume?
I think all the exchanges are fake!!!
If people can lie about volumes, if exchanges can give out only fake volume what will now happen if liquidity comes first instead of volume? coinmarketcap have taken the right step by ranking coins and tokens with liquidity instead, its on their website like this 'We just launched Liquidity to combat the volume inflation problem'.

Yes they made some changes, and now they have different ranking system, which is a good thing. There was a lot of drama this year about coinmarketcap and their manipulations with some coins. In anyway coinmarketcap and similar sites should be just for information purposes only. Take a look what they have to say, but if you wish to be sure in something check that on several more places.
In the case you missed this article "For 15k, he`ll fake your exchange volume - you'll get on coinmarketcap". Link to the article : https://www.coindesk.com/for-15k-hell-fake-your-exchange-volume-youll-get-on-coinmarketcap

Quote from the article, for people who don't like to read too much:
A firm that specializes in making obscure cryptocurrencies look like they’re being actively traded. For a fee, the two-man shop will program bots to trade a token back and forth with each other on also-ran exchanges until it has enough “volume” to get listed on CoinMarketCap.

Do you have a better picture now whats happening around the crypto?
5710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: StableCoins might increase crypto adoption by big companies ? on: November 13, 2019, 09:04:58 PM
But in the end stable coins will stay stable, tied to a dollar value!

But it is proven that currently stable coins are still able to maintain the value according to what was planned, even the development of stable coins is faster. We take the example of Tether, now it has beaten many other coins. Tether is already ranked 5. If you look at daily volume, Tether is higher than all coins, including Bitcoin.

Who makes volume? That volume comes from pairs USDT/BTC, USDT/ETH, USDT/anycoin...What kind of development usdt have? Centralized coin, made with just one purpose to be a dollar substitute, about supply to not even talk, and you talk about some progress.

In this times stable coins are making things easier for traders and for some services, that is a fact. But that is now, will we need tether in the future?
5711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 13, 2019, 07:11:29 PM
Answer always depends on the coin you choose to trade with. We can talk till tomorrow about exit strategies, expectations, coin possibilities, but in the end everything depends on the coin and you. For example you buy some coin, price rise for 10% and what are you going to do?
You can settle with 10%, depending on amount you invested that can be 10 or 1000 dollars, and to cash out, you can be greedy and wait for price to rise more, and from some coins you can expect to go higher, from some you can't.
The best preparation for upcoming pump is accumulation, the more coins you can have try to have them, and will you get out at 10% profit or much more depends on how much you are ready to risk and your bankroll.
5712  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Market making is good, or BAD for crypto because... on: November 13, 2019, 11:28:39 AM
You can't have successful business without marketing! There are many types of marketing, like there are many different businesses, for the right business you need the right type of marketing. What is good and bad marketing depends on what kind of business you are advertising. Depending on the product, you need to understand your audience, your capabilities, to have targets.
Marketing is a science these days, if anyone thinks its easy to do it, is wrong. Good marketing should lead to a better results, bad will not move your business, its summing up this question. How to have good marketing depends on many things, providing more informations about it can help us in giving more valuable advices about what can be good marketing for a specific business.
5713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to Sell Altcoins on: November 12, 2019, 04:04:38 PM
It seems like the best time to sell altcoins is over, as we know that the best history of altcoins is 2017 until March 2018, almost all altcoins prices go up because they follow the trend of bitcoin prices, now we can only survive and wait for a miracle.

I still believe that such time would arrive again, because the market runs always in cycles. Sooner or later we would come to the point when BTC dominance would fall and leave space for altcoins to grow.

Not only you, many believe that alt season will come again, and it will. It will not be only an alt season, like always we will see bitcoin making new records, and some alts will follow that and they will make their own records too. Every time after bitcoin halving, entire crypto market make a progress. Take a look what happened in the past, same will happen not once again, it will happen couple more times.
All of us would like to see bitcoin at 1M dollars, that will not happen after next halving, maybe the one after next, or I don't know, all I know is that every halving will get us closer to that price!
5714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What to expect now? on: November 12, 2019, 11:55:21 AM
I would say that we can always expect the same things to happen in crypto, shitcoins to go to zero and top coins to go higher! Its something perfectly normal in crypto, or it becomes with experience and time spent in crypto.  Expect the unexpected! Its only conclusion, and then you will not be surprised by whatever happens. Never risk too much, cause there's always a chance that bitcoin will move in different direction then you think it will!
Expecting the unexpected is not a good idea if the market heads down, the experienced market whales manipulate the market. If the market traders prefer to sell the down market prices and a small group of traders prefers to fill the sell orders with their buy orders. The fight between bear and bull sides of the crypto market leads to emotional trading and I expect a new pullback after the recent increase in the crypto prices.

Do you know that bull and bear is the one person! Good trader is a bull it has to be, like he can be the bear if he needs to be. The market dictates what you need to do, and if market is being manipulated then trader, or group of traders will impose the market movement, in the direction they wish.
Expect the unexpected is a great idea, cause you can't be sure that market will go down or up, both are happening. You need to be ready for drop, like you need to be ready for rise! What that means in reality, you need to have amount of bitcoins and dollars for holding so you can sell if price rise more then you predicted, or buy in the case price heads down and you already bought.
When you expect something and that doesn't happen, you will be disappointed, your next move will be emotional. In the case when you are ready for everything you can't be disappointed or excited too much, you will just do what has to be done in that specific moment!
5715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just dumped my IOTAs on: November 12, 2019, 09:53:04 AM
FUD is around every crypto project, its one of the things non of them can avoid. In 2017 I made a nice profit on IOTA, and in 2018 I bought some again. I don't expect IOTA to go to the moon, but in time I believe that I will have some good return from IOTA.
In the past we have seen people dumping bitcoin and ethereum, simply cause they didn't believe that price will recover and make new records. People had a choice back then, people have the same choice now, take it or leave it, there are risks, but if you are in crypto long enough you should learn to live with that!
5716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: November 12, 2019, 07:45:37 AM
You are correct, many bounties this days attracts hunters with huge rewards just for us to do the work for them and then they started changing rules and leaving us with nothing at the end

Next time when you see huge rewards, just skip to another bounty. Here in crypto you need to know how to protect yourself, nobody can help you once you make a mistake, its too late. You need to educate yourself to not make one at all.
Now many bounties don't have a proper manager, in many cases its a newcomer with a brand new account. Site can be low quality, some of the team members are not fluent English speakers. Generally we see many bounties with many flaws, when you see something like that run away!

5718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Dogecoin on: November 11, 2019, 11:44:24 AM
Buy Dogecoin
buy 30 sat
sell 40/45 sat

Dogecoin is one of my choices for long term hold I know doge have potential to grow up,in the market but today I focus buy amd sell bitcoin is very profitable all we heve to do is stay focus and monitor buy low sell high, we know the movements of bitcoin now is very volatile up and down. For sure if bitcoun continues to increase their price the next option for buy and sell is altcoins I include dogecoin and ethereum as my choices.

I think the same, and I have some amount of doges on a side. I have fun trading with them, doge has some spikes from time to time, they are rare but they happen, its time for selling and buying back again when price drops.
I don't trade daily with doges, I think there are far more better and more profitable coins for short term trading, with higher range of volatility.
5719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with USDT or BTC? on: November 11, 2019, 09:27:17 AM
Its basically a trading, you need to know to find a perfect pair for yourself. BTC/USDT is one of the good pairs, and probably the most used one.  There's no need for more explanations about it, we calculate in dollars and you know for how many dollars you sell and buy, dollar is the stable coin and you move bitcoins to usdt  or vice versa, depending on the market situation.
But there are many other pairs, BTC/ANY ALT or any other pair, and now many of alts are paired with usdt, few years ago that wasn't like that.
Personally I use BTC/USDT sometimes, when I plan to short, I move bitcoins to USDT wait for price to drop and then buy and I have more bitcoins. But I like others pairs as well.
5720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: November 11, 2019, 07:09:00 AM
In random games, it does not really matter what a gambler is playing or who experienced he is, because the outcomes are always random. No one can really guess it and the crowd just tries to have fun.
I think you are confusing between games that have EV- outcome and those which have EV+ outcome. The former group is games like dice where you just bet on whichever side you think the dice will roll and let your luck do its work. In EV+ games a lot of skills come into play. Here the analysis of teams and players is important. Games like sports betting, poker come in this category.

So if you are going for a EV+ game then betting against the majority is not a bad thing provided your reasons are strong enough that the minority team will win.

You are right, in sports betting its like that, if you have good and strong reason to go against majority just do it. Good teams, in individual sports good players, are winning most of the time, but not all the time, even the best ones lose from time to time, to bet on their loss and win is not unusual. Every week we have favorites that lose, its hard to find those games, you really need to know the game, the teams and to search for that potential surprise. Odds on underdogs can be very high, so winning that bet can be very profitable.
