5701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Deontay Wilder Vs. Luis Ortiz II on: November 23, 2019, 01:52:28 PM
'I'm coming for you baby... get the job done and meet me for battle': Tyson Fury warns Deontay Wilder not to slip up against Luis Ortiz

Fury is a funny guy  Grin Hope Deontay finishes Ortiz quickly and feels himself ready for next fight against Fury.

That's why Fury is likeable though,  Grin

@Darker45 - definitely we wanted to see 'upset' here as we have seen in the first fight that Wilder was tested but Deontay was able to stand up in that faithful 7th round. But just imagine if Ortiz win this and then Ruiz closes up AJ for good. It will really shakeup the HW division.
5702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance to Sue the Block and raises 200 bitcoins to fight fud. on: November 23, 2019, 01:32:56 PM
And this is the https://www.theblockcrypto.com/ official response:

Setting the record straight on our Binance reporting

Quote
On Thursday we reported that the exchange’s Shanghai office had been shut down, and that an eyewitness source had likened the shutdown to a police raid. Binance denied both of those details in numerous tweets and in statements to other media outlets. In light of the unusually vociferous backlash over the story, I thought it would be worthwhile to dive into the claims made by Binance, our anonymous sources, and additional reporting conducted over the last 24 hours.

What about the "raid"?

In our original report, we cited an eyewitness who told us that, prior to one of the offices shutting down, police had conducted an investigation of the premises. When we reached out to Binance about the supposed "police raid" and they denied it ever happened, their denial was included in the report.

The eyewitness is a Binance employee who we cannot identify because we agreed to communicate “on background” - that is, to be quoted only as an anonymous source. This person has been a reliable source to The Block for the past several months, and has accurately confirmed multiple stories related to Binance. Following our initial reporting, another source corroborated that officials had visited one of the offices prior to the shutdown. Still, following publication, other vetted sources have questioned the veracity of the word "raid," as used in the report.

We've updated our previous story — and headline — to reflect this ambiguity.

Done properly and in good faith, protecting sources’ anonymity is essential for getting parts of a story that otherwise would remain in the dark out of fear of reprisal. The Block stands by its reputation for carefully vetting sources, anonymous or otherwise. We also stand by the reporting in our original story, which further reporting has shown to be accurate.

This isn't the first time we've faced a gauntlet of criticism for our reporting, and it won't be the last. That's simply table stakes when you report on matters that well-moneyed and powerful companies would just as soon see buried. At the end of the day The Block will continue to objectively cover the digital asset space, warts and all, without fear or favor.

https://www.theblockcrypto.com/post/48112/setting-the-record-straight-on-our-binance-reporting

So it's more of a 'he said she said" here. Take your pick, read and see who's telling the truth here. Anyways, the damage to the market has been done.
5703  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Mining farm in Iran on: November 22, 2019, 03:30:31 PM
I guess you need to read this, Iran announces power tariffs for crypto miners; offers bounty for exposing illegal operations.

Not unless you wanna pay that tariff and I'm expecting it to be huge, so there's a huge risk as other have mentioned. So I guess it will be better to scrap that idea, or get out of Iran if you really wanted to have a bitcoin mining farm, IMHO.

I think OP stated that he already got a mining certification
Quote
I get certification and government authority to build a cryptocurrency farm
he should just follow all the existing regulations on how to run one if he is that serious, it's better to do a partnership to someone or a group that are experts on how to set up mining rigs, and everything should be in contract, and under government monitoring.

But if everything is under government monitoring then he can't go full blast with his project and it could take years before he can get his ROI. So there are still risk here on his end as we all know that their government is very unstable so I'm not sure if this is the right idea specially in his country, just saying.
5704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 22, 2019, 02:52:11 PM
Direct quote from the article:

"The daily mid-ranges from $8,200-8,250 which is confluent with the 0.705 fib level appear to be the last bullish support and where I'm personally looking to at least play a bounce. Below that and there's not much in the way of a full retrace and a re-test of former range lows at $7,600 and $7,400."

You're welcome

We are now entering $6900 range, so we are now in a new lows and I don't think that it will hold up until we touch $6400. So anything goes from this point, there's so much FUD about the Binance raid in China. They already denied it but as I have said in other thread, the damage has been done so we might see $6000-$6400, just like year. I know that we don't like to see the price in that position late this year. But I'm still optimistic that this is the last great bump along the round prior the halving and I'm expecting that we will have a good bounce start of next year.
5705  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitmain Co-Founder Claims He Was Illegally Removed, Plans to Sue on: November 22, 2019, 02:22:41 PM
I think this is good for bitcoin.
The more bitman fights between themselves, less mining centralization.

Agreed there, although I would have preferred to see Jihan Wu ousted. Of the two, Zhan always seemed like the voice of reason.

Not so sure about decentralizing mining. I've always thought that Zhan has lately been trying to diversify the company away from mining. If anything this would re-focus Bitmain's efforts as an ASIC supplier.

Very interesting. Perhaps there are group of people inside Bitmain or at least board of directors who wanted this company to head in this direction that's why Jihan was booted out. But then again, loyalist are still around, just waiting for the perfect time to pull out a coup d'etat to reinstall Jihan and steer the company to the old and traditional way of supplying the world with mining hardware and wanted to bring back that monopoly and stomped on their competition.
5706  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for current bloodbath on: November 22, 2019, 01:54:14 PM
We also have to understand that the price surge from $7400-$9000 was artificial and everyone attributed it to the so called China news on blockchain adoption. So the whales ride on that news push the price to more than $9400 and then FOMO sets in. And now it looks like they're cashing it out and we could go back to where the price used to be $7400 or less. Not sure about the the Binance/Bithumb offices being shutdown in China, both of them have denied it already, however the damage has been done as the market price has plummeted.
5707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 22, 2019, 01:29:40 PM
I just watch match between Shapovalov vs Minaur what a match by two good and emerging players in first set Shapovalov completely outclass Minaur but this kid came back very strongly and won rest of match really good and top class player for coming years last set was very impressive but Shapovalov have some problems with service too many double faults give him big set back he need to do some more work for good tennis in future.

Very interesting match between Shapovalov vs De Minaur. Alex De Minaur is one player on my radar that could potentially became a big player in the future. Anyways, it was Captain Lleyton Hewitt decision not to play Nick Kyrgios in this Davis Cup, but it was later revealed that Nick did have a injury obviously he is not fit to play in this tournament.

Then Shapovalov partnered with Pospisil to cliched it for Canada in the doubles and push them to the semi-finals.
5708  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hotcryptonews.org - crypto news aggregator on: November 20, 2019, 12:30:24 PM

Contact your hosting provider, probably they have free SSL for you. No need to wait for the future. you should know.
I agree with the previous comment, the design is terrible basically does not exist. I can't see the purpose of news aggregator like this.
Wordpress with free Sassy Social Share plugins and nothing more.

The purpose of the news aggregator is to collect list of links from different sources. It shows a list of recent links in a list that is easy to view both in desktop and in mobile. I don't see how any other special styling of the page would make this functionality better.

What he saying is that you should prioritized SSL and don't wait, this should be done ASAP.

We know the purpose of news aggregator and as a reader it will make sense if we can see some good design and style as well. We're in 2020 now, we don't want to see 90's style here, just saying. Probably people come back in your website, (like some of us here) to check if there are improvements, otherwise, we will look for better options. We're giving you constructive feedback here so that you can attract more visitors.
5709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year 2020 expectations on: November 20, 2019, 12:10:13 PM
New upcoming projects are targeting 2020 either for good market season or because of the upcoming bitcoin halving, they want to avoid loses that is plaguing crypto space at all cost, even good projects of this year had hard time gathering needed fund and the lucky ones managed to reach softcap, what do you think about year 2020? will it be a very good year for IEO and bounty hunters?

If we enter a bull run at least in the middle of 2020, then probably altcoin market will recover and that will result in bounties becoming successful again. However, it we still continue to go on another bearish market and pushing the price even further down the pipe, then expect bounty hunting getting worst because projects are going to fall. So let's see how it goes, it's going to be critical for all bounty hunters, another make or break.
5710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 20, 2019, 11:34:08 AM
It did lost that support already? The price is way below $8300 now so I'm expecting that the bulls last stand will be $8000. Obviously if this is broken, the bulls will no longer have the upper hand and it will be very difficult to defend as the support is slowly crumbling with the pressures from the bears. What do you think though, will that $8000 support hold in the next couple of hours?
The price is below $8100 now by only a couple days the price dropped quite deep, so our last hope is that $8000 mark. If it reaches that mark, I'm afraid we're going to see another bloody hell market. I do hope the support could hold a bit longer and bounce back up in the next few hours but it might be the opposite as well.

And is it really because of that news about google few hours ago?! And everywhere I see is red on markets.

Still holding @$8000 which I expect to happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if we go lower than that approaching weekends. So no bounce back, but there is support at least at this point. There could be FUD as mentioned, but come to think of it, who are the people behind this spread of FUD's across social media sites or it is just pure coincidence? Or possibly that they're preparing to buy at $7500'ish and just waiting for the right time.
5711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 20, 2019, 10:14:14 AM
Nobody watching & betting on new Davis Cup? Was a bit surprised that I didn't see a single post on this topic. Russia started very nice, they are missing Medvedev but Khacanov and Rublev are still a solid force. They won all 3 matches against my Croatia but I sort of expected it and managed to cash in nicely on those games. Croatia is playing without Cilic and Coric was also sick before tournament so he isn't on 100%. Add to that some internal struggles and firing of the coach one day before we traveled to Spain and the result is more than realistic.

Thanks for the reminder mate, maybe I can take a lot at up and see if I can put a bet.

Russia has also won their first match against Spain but Nadal should make that 1:1 (playing at the moment) and then we will have a decider in pairs.

You are right, Nadal won against Khachanov 6-3, 7-6. While Granoller/Lopez defeated Khachanov/Rublev 6-4, 7-6 to make a 2-1 comeback. Lots of games around the world are being played, and we all know that Davis Cup is a big tournament because every man represents his country, so it is a classic.
5712  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: People’s Bank of China Announces Test Program to Limit Cash Transactions on: November 20, 2019, 09:43:17 AM
this seems to be happening all over the world as governments hedge against future liquidity crises.

it goes hand in hand with their plans to launch a central bank coin too. prevent capital flight via cash and drive the population towards a surveillance-friendly digital currency---two birds with one stone!

Most likely the latter, to "prevent capital flight" although it could hit two birds with on stone, it could also trigger panic in those three provinces. But we all know that Chinese government wanted strict control of their population so I'm not surprised by this move. And maybe this could be the effect of trade wars, but I doubt it at this point. But Bitcoin will come to the rescue, and the government as pushing Chinese people to hedge and put their wealth in Bitcoin, just saying because of this restrictions.

5714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREUM is only potentially $ 250 in November. on: November 19, 2019, 11:55:24 AM
I predict the price of Ethereum until the end of November is only up to $250 at its highest point.

i would be happy if your prediction is correct. let's note the november ATH at 250 USD and check in about 3 weeks if you were right. Smiley
i myself don't see these prices until the beginning of 2020 but i would like to be wrong.

I doubt that ETH can reach $200 at the end of the month to be honest, seems to be fluctuating around the $170-$187 range. I don't know what will it take for ETH to really get that hump around the $200 so that we can see $250 in the horizon. Yeah, I expecting that 2020 will be big for ETH because of it's ETH 2.0 release. But for this year, let's say a good $200 prediction is a stretch already, IMHO.
5715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM Burn Increased Coin’s Centralization, Argues Charlie Lee on: November 19, 2019, 11:15:34 AM
as SDF burn 50 billion xlm but the price fluctuates in 0.06$ to 0.08$
(date Nov 08 to Nov 19) but no increase in sudden hike I think xlm needs more adoption. But after-burn still to much supply in circulation.

It's because the price of any coin won't simply grow overnight. And as you have said, we need more adoption and when it will happen? only time can tell. Right now we are still in the bear market that's why the price is very slow to grow. As per Charlie Lee's argument, I think he has a point here, however we all know that XLM is already a centralize coin, so it doesn't make sense to say that it will increased the coin's centralization to 8%? In the first place, you have given them control only a 8% won't make any difference at all, IMHO.

5717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here’s Why Bitcoin Just Dropped Nearly 4% on: November 19, 2019, 10:27:00 AM
Nah, I don't think that Google has something to do with the drop. I mean many have been calling a drop to $7+++ and maybe they are just right. Seriously, Bitcoin Killer? many have tried in the past already and no one ever did succeed toppling BTC. We all know how the Bitcoin's price is very volatile so most probably speculators taking profit. We just have to look at the bright side and take advantage of every dip.
5718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 19, 2019, 10:01:42 AM
~snip~

@Royse777 - Your boy Thiem also performed above expectations in this tournament. Those two will have a lot of battles ahead. And maybe one of those days he will caught Tsitsipas napping, LOL. But head to head Thiem still has the numbers if I'm not mistaken.
Can't complain.
Point here is that we can see some youngsters are showing signs to dominate the future of Tennis. Imagine a tennis world without Federer, Nadal. These guys will have to fill the gap to keep it going.

I lost a bet but I am happy to see that the deserved one won the final.

Congratulations to your boy and you to win the bet.

Can't complain as well. I also can't imagine the tennis world without our players who we grew up watching. I still vividly remember Federer vs Sampras in semis or finals, but I can't remember which tournament it was. Federer was the rising star that time and Sampras is on the way out, I'm guessing its the 01-02, hah, that was a long time ago.  Grin
5719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP demand liquidity on: November 18, 2019, 08:59:34 AM
According to CoinNess.com about 37 companies are now utilizing XRP, either as a way to accept payment or to power international remittance. What are we to expect from XRM with such development comes next year via her price. Do you think the next altcoin season will be bullish for top altcoin cos they are yet to unfold their plans

Then good for XRP, however, crypto enthusiast are still divided are far as how centralised this coin is. Majority even branded it as bankers coin, which really took a hit on XRP reputation. Personally though it they offer low fees as money service company then I will definitely utilized it as compare to let say to MoneyGram or Western Union.

But to be a investor? I still have my qualms though. As for the next bull run, I would say that it's possible that the price could go and pump and could reach a new all time high. But I would rather go with Ethereum or Bitcoin for the next bull run, just saying.
5720  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CHART 2016 VS 2019 on: November 18, 2019, 07:51:58 AM
One thing to add though is that this market is fairly young, you can even say that we are still in the infancy stage so the data is small, that we can't even compare it and make a positive conclusions. The charts might look similar but there are a lot of difference, the cycles, the fundamentals, the players around, institutional money, investors growing etc. etc. One thing that remains constant here is the manner the price is being manipulated from behind by the whales though. We have to look at how this playa' will turn the market around at the end of this year and see if $12,000 can be reach again.
