5701  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Please be careful on BITLISH, withdrawal more than 2 weeks on: October 24, 2019, 08:43:04 AM
@johnccc

Would you mind telling where you got the funds from? The bitcoins that you are trying to withdraw, were they received on a trade or were they deposited from some where else?

Many times these problems arise when you are sending from gambling sites, casinos and other exchanges. At times even criminals attempt to launder money trying to use the exchange as an intermediary to clean their tracks. Are you sure you are not doing any of these?

If these things are clear on your side then you may go to "smear" their name on social media, but do be sure to provide facts objectively.
5702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bounty hunters and Exchanges. on: October 24, 2019, 08:37:42 AM
As a bounty hounter I can say that Whatever tokens I earn I sell them where the tokens get listed. if the token got listed any new exchange  where I don't  have any account, then I had to open a account there  for selling the tokens. After trade I keep all my info save.
This is just another consequence of having joined a million shitcoins bounties and now you want to encash them in more better currencies in the list. Two questions arise here:

1. If your sole motive was to exchange the bounty token to bitcoin or ethereum why did you engage in the project in the first place? Do you not trust their project or its future? Maybe you are selling partially, but if you know that your belief on the project is firm you would not sell or look for exchanges listing them.

2. Is it not easier to keep track of fewer altcoins and keeping your portfolio small without diverging into worthless coins, which end up with a dump to never rise again?
5703  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: October 23, 2019, 09:17:56 AM
In my experience, "provably fair" has become just another buzzword, and for most sites all it means is that you can find an encrypted hash corresponding to the result of the roll when you investigate.
I doubt your experience because Provably fair is an algorithm and not just an encrypted hash. Are you sure you know how to verify the bets using the server seed and the client seed? It does not correspond to the result of the roll but how the roll is made.

Quote
I believe only for a very few number of exceptional sites is the algorithm independently random, and the website is truly blind to the outcome of all bets...
We have a number of cryptography enthusiasts in this forum and believe me they are having a sane mind enough to look at every new site that comes up and verify the bets made there to be truly random and not rigged. Previously they helped in shutting out some scammer sites who cheated their players and the ones who are in this forum and highly popular were found to be fair.

What you are suffering from is Gamblers Fallacy and I suggest you to verify the bets yourself to put your mind at ease and that you lost the money because of your own greed and not because the site cheated you.
5704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: October 23, 2019, 09:12:00 AM
I would use the phrase failed project because that's what is mostly happening.
How are so sure of what is happening behind the scenes? If there is no proof of the project being developed then its good to assume that the project had failed.

Quote
Some of this project aren't scam but they can't compete in this current market condition so they lose interest from Investors which drives the price of tokens down since current Investors are wanting to sell thereby pushing the price down. The bear market isn't a favourable condition for projects to progress although it's the best time to identify worthy projects to invest in.
"Its a bear market" excuse has been used by every other project as a blanket method to evade questions and raised suspicions. Whether the project was aware that bitcoin or altcoins would be a investment subject to immense volatility at unpredictable times of the year, makes me question of their credibility in the first place.

Which is also why they seek out private investors without telling ICO investors about it and use that to pay off their devs. Then the devs are another level of scammers who sell off their share and leave the project. In all, zero development of the project actually takes place. Grin
5705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: too many exchanges and will increase in the future, what do you guys think about on: October 23, 2019, 09:03:41 AM
Most of the exchanges are now closing because of regulations and also because of competition.
Which is also allowing shady exchanges to come out and establish their foothold. At least regulation meant that scammers would also be less or face legal consequences. Now being unregulated and a large number of exchanges there to choose from, you have an assortment. But how many can you really trust?

Quote
There are now many exchanges and only few exchanges that are patronizing by traders and investors.
Those who have verified accounts on the older exchanges still tend to use them. Newer exchanges are nothing but dumping grounds for bounty hunters, who are the sole reason why they exist. They need a place to dump their shitcoins because they dont care about the project and had come in only for their money. Then there is nobody buying their tokens and they consider the coin to be scam. Pretty funny. Cheesy
5706  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Qualities worth developing as a crypto enthusiast (Investor). on: October 22, 2019, 09:02:35 AM
Being firm in your belief along with patience is also important. I will try to explain this with an example:

Say a person bought bitcoin at a certain price and now the altcoins are going up while bitcoin is down. The person loses patience here because they were not firm on their belief of bitcoin's future. What happens is that because of the panic they buy altcoins, but this again the wrong move, because those coins are at all time high now. Very soon the price of altcoins come down and bitcoin goes up, but this person is now holding these altcoins and crying because they didnt firmly hold on to the bitcoins.

Maybe it will be temporary but the mental trauma that happens to every newbie cannot be assessed unless you see them happening. But consider if this person had been firm in their belief, they would not have sold bitcoin and they would have profited.

Same would have been true from the altcoin side if he had bought some when they were low. But here again the belief to be made firm is tough. Cool
5707  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Airdrop or Bounty on: October 22, 2019, 08:55:15 AM
I always wanted to dive into the world of prize hunters but my knowledge of gifts is not enough to enter the bitcointalk contest or do I have to play Airdrop? Because airdrop tasks are easier than gifts? please tell me friend
Both of them are worthless. If you came to this forum looking for "gifts" then you are looking in the wrong place. Some projects have given out airdrops previously for early users but it has it essence taken away when large groups of spammers started flocking in to grab every airdrop they could. Same happened with bounties. Now they are just promotional content for promoting every shitcoin out there which has just be conceived. But do they carry any long term value? No. In other words, collecting airdrops of bounties today is a waste of time.

Moreover many bounties would ask you to pass a KYC too. Now I never feel comfortable with sharing mu personal info to a new "startup" which has not even started up. So I tend to tell people to avoid joining bounties.

There are other methods to earn from this forum. But first you must work on your posting habits, your knowledge about bitcoin, earn a good chunk of merits from other users and then we can get started. Grin
5708  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Windows 10 pro Keys Scammers on: October 22, 2019, 08:12:55 AM
My previous supplier gave me that price also that was for test next order I were gonna buy 100
Thing is if you want to buy one for yourself you should buy it from Microsoft by yourself. Why would you even trust someone whom you never transacted or have information of and you give them their money for not one but 100keys? I suspect you yourself to also being associated with these types of scams/greed traps.

Anyway sorry for your loss but I hope you learnt some lessons. The Marketplace section of this forum is filled with scammers trying to scam every newbie looking for ways to buy things cheap or torrent invites and account sales.

99% of them are scam. Unfortunately the forum administration does not take into account these type of sales threads. You have to be careful.
5709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: October 22, 2019, 08:07:31 AM
People definitely always get the idea before elections that which party is going to win the game.
A very biased thing to say. How on earth can you possibly know which party will win when both of them have equal chances of winning? Not every country is corrupted and you may support one team does not necessarily mean that team will win.

Quote
But there is a huge lot of people who still are not aware of the games played by political party and if they bet on politics, may be they can give gambling some profit.
Yes, the bookies will be earning a good amount. Its like throwing stones in the dark and not similar to just any other EV+ game like sports betting where you have to do some research. So bookies have somewhat an advantage here.

Quote
But as you said, people do not find betting on politics interesting.
Looking at the number of bets on sports betting sites that the Trump VS Hillary poll was, I would say they are very interested.
5710  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: October 22, 2019, 08:04:26 AM
Yes, we all know that Bitcoin is not as volatile as altcoins,  Altcoin tends to give more profit in a short term than bitcoin.
Short term gains if make you happy then you should go for them. But having a huge portfolio it becomes tough to manage everything in one place. When you start adding on millions of shitcoins you are bound to get in a mess.

Quote
But one must make sure that the altcoin in question should  have enough volume so as to accommodate any dump and reduce chance of much loss.
Volume becomes secondary once the pump and dump beings. Bagholders pump their shills and make them buy while they dump on them. At that time you would be confused as to whether buy or sell and before you know it, all selling opportunities will run out.

Quote
Another important thing to note is to make sure that if you must trade altcoin on day trade is to make sure that you trade altcoin that have good credibility score of which the team wont dump on you at the slightest chance
Every and everyone of the altcoin devs will dump on your head when they want. Advisors and devs are in it for the money. They are least bothered about the project. That was their main motif before starting and will remain so. This is the reason why the development of many projects is slow and questionable.
5711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Managers do not Determine the Legitimacy of a Cryptocurrency Project on: October 22, 2019, 07:58:48 AM
Bounty managers cannot guarantee that a project will succeed in the future
This is correct, but a person who becomes a manager should have the capability of screening out the good and the bad projects. I am not saying that their decision is 100% correct, it is a screening and therefore will have false positive and false negatives. Truely it depends on the need of the bounty hunter. They often are reckless in joining the campaigns without looking into the project owners and then they complain of the project being scam.

Many of these bounty hunters even done have a little level of literacy and are posting like bots being told by some superior, probably.
5712  Economy / Reputation / Re: Did I spam? Report me right now. #RMRN #RaiseYourVoice on: October 21, 2019, 01:37:47 PM
-snip-
I understand that you are feeling butthurt because some people like to pick on others whom they consider to be spamming, but honestly you should not rub it on. If someone has a problem with your posts and they confront you, you can refrain from replying or add that person to your Ignore list. I think that is the best course of action if you are having problem with particular users.

This forum is way more toxic than many other forum where we have close knit communities, but its not the matter of discussion. I think we all have learnt to live it that and grown a think skin.

Remember "Only weak minds discuss people"
5713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and cryptocurrency real Investment on: October 21, 2019, 08:22:45 AM
Real estate is currently one of the biggest bubbles in the world, cryptocurrency is nowhere close to that, even being a bitcoin maximalist I will point this out. You cannot compare these two one traditional investment and crypto being an alternative investment method. But if you are hoping your coins to become huge in value then you are right to store coins.

Lets say you want to to invest, I would advice both, but I feel real estate is something more difficult to acquire at least from where I live.

About donations, some sites do accept crypto. Can you be more specific about this?
5714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 21, 2019, 08:18:16 AM
This is more of a general question of what someone would like to donate or not. Gambling resulted money is yours to keep and you are free to do anything you want with it. If you are generous about donating to charitable organizations then do so.

Primedice and Stake are running the "Choose A Charity" campaign to allow their players to vote between similar organizations and the winner gets a 1000$ donation from the owners of PD/Stake.

Now you should also know that they can afford to be charitable because they make profits of much higher value every day.
5715  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Market making is good, or BAD for crypto because... on: October 21, 2019, 08:14:13 AM
then what is the point of having it?
You ask this same question to the shitcoin bagholders and they will cite strange reasons like Bitcoin network is slow, fees is high and so on. If they dont like these things then they are free to go for other options, namely shitcoins. The purpose of producing them is for the devs of that coin to make money. Simply every altcoin is this after coming to bitcoin. On the other hand, people become emotional if you point this out but they will continue to defend their altcoin.

Quote
You cannot sustain artificial liquidity right? What happens when companies stop paying fees, or stop paying the market maker service, then what?
Yup, its more of market manipulation. You stop buying when you see its not worth it. People understand this too. But the advisors and devs are quick to cash out the money and sell of the project to a new owner. Cheesy
5716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The safest DEX exchange? on: October 21, 2019, 08:08:52 AM
i heard that there are better alternatives than these two .  ed is slow but fd is slight workable
There are but these are the oldest running ones. The ones you can trust without any doubt, unless they get hacked.

Quote
.still these two are the pioneers when it comes to decentralized exchanges  .  using private keys on a dex exchange like them are also not advisable  . idk why , but they said it was risky  .
You have to use private keys to access the dex. Thats as far as I know. I dont prefer using dex, posted them for the OP to know. I am still more comfortable with a Cex even if they ask for my KYC because I would trust a human handled exchange at my country to have my info because I am trading an asset, just like a stock market trader.

Also the reason why scammers have tried creating phishing URLs to these sites so they enter their private keys and get hacked.

5717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The safest DEX exchange? on: October 20, 2019, 09:24:32 AM
Etherdelta and Forkdelta are good enough if you know how to trade using your wallet and private keys in the proper place with the habit of keeping the window open in the browser. Grin I wish ED had an app interface too but thats too much to ask for.

You should be more careful about the sites because there have been phishing attacks on users by pointing them to the wrong phishing sites using various methods. Be careful of those, dont click on links sent in emails,DMs. Bookmark the official site links and use them to visit only.

Do not go for a other new dex that opens up. Many of the are going to end up as scam. When a new one comes out, let the dust settle, check their business number and where they are registered from, ask in this forum and only then put your money there.
5718  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 20, 2019, 09:18:50 AM
If bitcoin system was possible to shut down, I am sure that even countries like China and France would have joined hand with the United states to do so, but I think they have already seen it as something that is impossible which they will never even think towards that angle of shutting it down again.
It more or less points to the direction that bitcoin is not going to be stopped but people are going to be punished for laundering money through it. I believe that is a good thing for the future. Let people use crypto as they wish to but punish those who try to use it for wrong purposes. There is still the problem of governments snooping on your transaction and that how would happen is still a question mark.

Shutting down bitcoin is not possible as well. It would mean shutting down the internet/electricity. Though a regulation may be needed in future.
5719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learn to play Dice on: October 20, 2019, 09:14:05 AM
So play in dice game are need lucky.
This sums up the topic, in dice games you need to have that luck factor and also your control of greediness to stop betting when you get lucky and something big comes up on the table. The problem we face is the inability to stop rolling and this translates to a big loss after a big win eventually making the entire process a waste of time and money.

There is nothing to learn on rolling the dice game. Talk about learning and knowledge in sports betting, poker, rummy and so on EV+ games. Here you just roll your luck and depend on your luck to get you a big win or a big loss.
5720  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to prove investors that your FinTech idea is worthy? on: October 20, 2019, 09:09:22 AM
To the owner of the project, their idea will always seem feasible and profitable, because it was their brainchild. Believe it or not, every project owner is like that but only the investors are "fooled". The owner may be running a very well disguised scam but the investors would never know, or even if they did would look into gain and cash out before the scam get revealed.

Maybe the OP points out an article to promote it only and never come back to this forum. But what is important for people to understand that no Fintech idea would become huge in a day or two or even for that matter years. Those products that create a market of its own is rare and having developed one they would not need to ask for investors, but they will come in like bees attracted to flowers.
