5701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Scalping even viable in Cryptocurrencies? on: April 28, 2021, 05:43:06 PM
If scalping works for you with other assets, then it's worth a shot for  you to backtest it on trading view using the rewind feature to see if things work out, and before you start trading cryptos you need to know that you won't always win your trades because sometimes news affects cryptos, sometimes markets are just manipulated which isn't something new if you have been trading for some time.
5702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will TRX go to new ATH on: April 28, 2021, 05:28:23 PM
Of late it's only ethereum which seems to be growing more even when we are in a bearish market and the rest of the altcoins TRX included wait to ride the bullish wave that comes from bitcoin otherwise an ATH will come when bitcoin breaks the 62 K barrier and stays there.
5703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 10x projects picked for 2021 on: April 28, 2021, 01:44:18 PM
What was your criteria of picking some of these coins because I have never heard of most of the listed apart from UNI and TRON !

ITron is a good coin but I see it hiding in the shadows of BnB which seems to be doing okay because of the exchange and Binance Smart chain which is becoming popular. Ethereum seems to get back on its feet after its Berlin fork, which should have been an opportunity to market coins like tron but unfortunately these guys keep a low profile.

5704  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how Bitcoin will deal with lost tokens? on: April 28, 2021, 09:26:15 AM
AFAIK lost bitcoin actually contribute to bitcoins value addition as they are pulled out of circulation to avoid say inflation, and what remains people have to compete for and its price goes up.

If I can make reference to how the fiat system works, if a central bank is in a habit of printing money, what happens next is inflation and loss of buying power which is a similar thing that happens with btc except you can't print /create new coins as the total supply is capped.
5705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: April 27, 2021, 07:37:09 PM
Crypto is male-dominated agreed, without a doubt!

Why, because men are high risk takers as compared to the women! And because bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are considered high risk it's probable men will always jump on such without weighing the risk involved.

But this is also debatable because this is an online thing and crypto is known to be pseudonymous so people can be whoever they want to be!
5706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2021, 07:26:19 PM
Rofl ok...  From the looks of it Real doesn’t have a midfield screen like I thought or I would’ve liked to think.  Chelsea could more likely get one away goal.

They could've gotten more within just the first 12 minutes, but they've got one on the score board already and it's been all Chelsea since the game started.

I hope going one goal behind changes the approach of the game by Real Madrid.
Seeing that line up without Ramos playing made me think twice about backing Madrid and my instinct was spot on !

Real Madrid now have a lot of work to do and so far they aren't showing the hunger to win it ,of course they have comeback from worse scorelines but Chelsea seems to have come prepared for the party!

It's now all never Benzema and co
5707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give reasons why ETH is better than BSC on: April 27, 2021, 07:12:00 PM
Even if BSC was decentralized and not connected to an exchange that could take it down to the bottom if it ever has problems with the law, or governments, or hacking, or gets bought by another company, merged, you name it, it wouldn't be more popular than ETH that has a number of projects already based on it and a large user base.
I have mixed feelings about this notion, can the government do this?

I know the exchange is kind of regulated but their blockchain isn't subjected to these regulations ?

And if the company where to change hands why would they shut down a profitable working product to create something completely new,FYI it takes several years for a coin to build reputation and value.

ETH is well known, it doesn't have to fight for a place in the top 5, it owns it.
I hate to break it to you, but ethereum isn't invisible and if I remember well there was a time bitcoin cash was second for some time when bitcoin got forked but don't know what happened it failed to hold second best coin maybe because of lack of a consensus...
5708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 27, 2021, 01:23:15 PM
As far as I know, dogecoin was dying a slow death, almost writing the history books as we say goodbye, then from out of the blue.. Musk happened and his been on Doges case ever since and everyone whats a piece of the coin, exchanges are listing the coin ,we are using Doge once again for crypto payments.

Without that Doge tweet I don't see dogecoin surviving, should Musk walk away it will go back sleep.
5709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: April 27, 2021, 11:29:28 AM
I think Real Madrid will beat Chelsea today... True, the statistics of personal meetings between these clubs are the same 2-2 and 1 draw... But in my opinion, Real looks much better than Chelsea... I think we'll see them in the final!
Chelsea have a defensive type of game and if they want to win this game they need to be more offensive as a way to defend themselves otherwise Real Madrid should win because they are a better team upfront and their defensive side and with the experience they have in these competitions, this must be one of those games they will win.
Btw I have Real Madrid to win the competition so don't mind me being bias towards other teams.

snip

Ramos, Valverde, L. Vasquez and F. Mendy won't be able to play at Real Madrid. Only Kovacic is absent at Chelsea. I wonder how much good Hazard will play in this game. After a long time, he has bounced back and played for 14 minutes in the last league game. We don't know for now whether Zidane will prefer him in the starting lineup. But I'd like to see him playing against his old team really much.  Grin
Captain Ramos won't be playing this might change everything, his leadership is priceless but am more than confident they will get the job done!

Very strange to see Manchester City win this final without a 100% clearcut striker like Aguero. Imagine all wingers playing in your attack. And sad they didn't even give the chance to Aguero just to appear in it.

Not a fan of city but one cannot deny Aguero's place in Premiership history:)

Man City are probably saving Aguero for the CL semi against PSG. He is an elite player but gets injured a lot, he’s probably being put in cotton wool by Pep in prep for what is essentially Pep s priority now, the CL.
Aguero hasn't played in a long time which goes to say his fitness is questionable to play on a big stage as the champions league.

And knowing Pep, he wouldn't want to take that risk with the semis being their furthest, he has to play his cards right if they are to reach the finals!

Leicester vs Crystal Palace: Leicester should be winning this to solidify the 3rd position in the EPL. Especially since Crystal Palace might be without their prized defender in Cahill who is out of the match and so is Sakho, due to injury. Its just 1.4x on Leicester though which doesnt feel like value enough to make a bet.
surprise surprise, Crystal Palace lead Leicester one goal to nil thanks to a nice goal from Wilfried Zaha

Congratulations to Manchester City

They've now won four times in a row, it was a fantastic game and deserves to win. Levy caused Tottenham chances of winning their first major, sacking a manager who has won the cup 4 times and never lost a final match. How can you sack a winning manager a few days to a final match?

this is the best present Jose could have sitting from the side lines as a Manchester city fan Tongue lol that was too harsh maybe a neutral fan, if spurs still had him as coach maybe the result might have been different but either way them sacking Jose just saved his record because city are not your ordinary team, they would have won it either way.

Congratulations to Manchester City!

5715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 25, 2021, 08:10:26 PM
It was very sad to see Juventus playing today: the players looked like they got hit psychologically by everything that is happening around them.
after looking at their league table, its clear that Juventus might not finish in the top four with their poor show today.

JUv is so bad such that they have actually dropped points back to back and things dont okay for the old lady.

with Napoli and Lazio having games in hand Juvs top four finish is questionable.

Inter, instead, is continuing winning and Scudetto is very close now.
Inter is gone, and what i like about their play style, is they keep playing like champions.. let them not celebrate just yet

On the bright side, Alvaro Morata scored a marvelous goal, watch it if you can.
not bad, but Florentina was unlucky not to win this match because these guys had better scoring opportunities but did not take advantage.

5716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Dogecoin still worth to invest? on: April 25, 2021, 02:33:15 PM
Surprisingly it is!

incase you want to read on this matter , then check how people consider Dogecoin as the go to coin, check New altcoin era? Dogecoin liquidations briefly surpass Bitcoin

Dogecoin (DOGE) saw more liquidations than Bitcoin (BTC) at one point on April 24. This shows there is a significantly high demand for trading the meme cryptocurrency even as Bitcoin and Ether (ETH) struggle to recover.

Various trends and metrics, such as social volume, trading volume, and liquidations in the futures market indicate that DOGE remains one of the most frequently traded cryptocurrencies in the global market.

Honestly you have all the reasons to invest in Doge, whats there to hate about doge, transaction fees are low, its the meme coin you name it, other alternative coins transaction fees go over the roof, you cant move these coins around inspite seeing a reduction in gas fees of late.
5717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: April 25, 2021, 12:09:13 PM
BNB is up 20% in last 24 hours to  a price point of above $600.

Confidence is Binance new CEO of Binance US could be a factor- https://www.wsj.com/articles/cryptocurrency-giant-binance-hires-former-top-bank-regulator-11618912800
This news of Binance hiring a former bank regulator isn't just bullish for BNB but the whole crypto ecosystem. With his expertise he will help crypto great again.

The success of Binance Smartchain and BNB listing on coinabse is the reasons for all time high marketcap of $89billion.

I thought Ethereums high fees where some of the reasons why we saw the success of the Binance
5718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 25, 2021, 11:52:38 AM
Transfer rumours:
Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani has held talks with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about a one-year contract extension - but the 34-year-old is moving closer to leaving Old Trafford. One great football career seems to be coming to an end.
Well he seems to have found his feet towards the end of the premiere league and also scored some important goals, I don't think OLe would deny him the chance to extend the contract his still an influential player for United!

Inter Milan remain in the hunt to sign Manchester City's Argentina striker Sergio Aguero but Barcelona are still favourites to sign the 32-year-old. It seems to me that Manchester City got rid of him too easily.
Are you confirming that Aguero is gone?

Manchester United owners the Glazers have set an asking price of £4bn to sell the club, amid fan protests outside Old Trafford on Saturday. Who are the rich people who can pay this much money for one club without great results in recent years?
With a bit of recapitalization, Manchester United can be changed, besides its not a bad team currently second, I think the amount they asking for is okay!

Quote
Paris St-Germain sporting director Leonardo says the French club will not rush into a new contract with star Brazil forward Neymar.
He was bought for quite a hefty amount and I don't see PSG selling him at a discount they need to make money too, and from the look of things I don't see him going anywhere
5719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOW IMPORTANT IS STOP LOSS on: April 25, 2021, 11:36:48 AM
Got in a discussion with a friend that recently started learning Technical Analysis and then he said he trades without using stop Loss.
Well for me I think failing to use a stop loss is failing to manage your risk, its all part of risk management!

FYI trading without a stop loss doesn't always mean losing trade, sometimes you get to see losing trades turn into winners because of the trading style or avoid placing a stop loss in the wrong place.

Quote
I told him no good trader trades without stop Loss.
I know some that actually don't because they believe in their analysis and don't mind blowing an account as they can afford to lose, and also believe in going big or go home.

Quote
I tried to explain to him about the volatility and how trades can go against you especially as a new newbie and you can lose heavily. He seems adamant and I decided to leave him maybe he will learn from his own mistake if it happens. It seems there are also many traders that trade without stop Loss and I wonder how they do it conveniently.

Please share your views on how important stop Loss is and how convenient it can be to trade without stop Loss.
Maybe his a profitable trader, have you asked him how things are going for him in the life of trading without using a SL.
5720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: GAS fees on the ethereum network are slowly falling on: April 25, 2021, 06:50:05 AM
Actually noticed this too, thought this was going to be a temporary thing but seems to hold up well fees are now as low as 55 gwei which hasn't happened in a long time.

Maybe the berlin upgrade is in full throttle and miners have got the hang of it, just hope it will be possible to send tokens for as low as $5.
