5701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: November 10, 2019, 08:17:29 AM
This is not always the case, sometimes your token on spreadsheet will worth 50$ and after listed you get more than 50$ and most times they become lesser, who is to be blame for that? the project is not good enough that is why they lose value, choose bounty projects wisely

You can't really blame anyone for this. The bounty campaign manager promises a certain amount of tokens to the participants, and as per the calculations given in the spreadsheet that many tokens will be credited to the bounty hunters. Now the campaign might have claimed a certain exchange rate for these tokens, but we can't expect the same exchange rate to be maintained once it gets traded in the exchanges.
5702  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: November 10, 2019, 08:04:42 AM
I would definitely advice against investing in any of the altcoins, because they are in a very bad state right now. You can go ahead and invest the entire amount in Bitcoin, as the block reward halving is approaching and it makes much more sense to invest in that asset. But investing in any of the altcoins (including ETH, LTC, XRP.etc) looks very risky right now.
5703  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin becoming a safehaven currency in Argentina on: November 10, 2019, 07:56:35 AM
I don't know what is wrong with these Latin American countries. They elect socialists to power and they indulge in all sort of freebie distribution and destroy the economy. Look at the case in Venezuela. Most of the issues can be resolved, if the subsidy on gasoline is removed and the prices are brought closer to the international rates. But the government doesn't want to do that.
5704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is worth to invest in dogecoin? on: November 10, 2019, 07:49:23 AM
I think so, even it will be a better investment than investing in ICO projects and all shitcoins! Just look at the DOGE's 24 hours trading volume, you will realize how many people have it and trade it every day! DOGE coin will give you sure shot profit. So, investing in DOGE at the right time is a very good decision.

Dogecoin is the king of all shitcoins. I would rate it as the most audacious shitcoin that ever got listed in the cryptocurrency market. But it is true that this shitcoin has managed to build a huge user-base. The DOGE community is influential and loyal, and this has helped this shitcoin to attain levels of popularity and acceptability which many of the more technologically advanced altcoins lack.
5705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Releasing an ‘Epstein Didn’t Kill Himself’ Token on: November 10, 2019, 07:43:25 AM
I don't know who is going to invest in these tokens. John McAfee used to promote a large number of tokens in 2017/2018. Almost all of them lost their value and brought losses to those who invested in them. He was ready to promote any ICO project, as long as he got the commission. A lot of the users trusted him and invested in these scam projects. And the irony is that this loser is still doing the same business and promoting scam projects.
5706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 07:37:28 AM
This was the real exciting end to the series and you can say it was the repeat of the world cup final where also England beat the New Zealand in the super over.
The weather was not so good today for cricket in  Auckland today but both teams show great entertainment in the 11 overs allocated to them.

Personally I am not comfortable with these "shortened" T20 matches. I guess 20 overs still gives too much advantage for the batsmen over the bowlers. If you reduce the number of overs any further, then you are completely erasing the role of the bowlers from the match. Look at this match.. the bowlers were going for 15-20 runs per over, on average. If that is the case, then what is the point in having specialized bowlers? They'll just be fine even if they go to the match with 11 batsmen instead of 7 batsmen and 4 bowlers.
5707  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 10, 2019, 07:31:21 AM
More and more countries will follow the same way of financial planning. In the name of digital growth already more countries have been encouraging cashless transactions. This too has made people to look onto bitcoin and other cryptocurrency transactions. The initiative taken by Malaysia with some time target is really a positive thing. Right now Westerners contribute good to the cryptocurrency, now with more such progress from Asian Countries the growth and adoption gets diversified.

China was one of the countries which used to encourage digital payments. But recently they reversed this policy and made it mandatory for all the stores and merchants to accept physical cash. Because they found that a lot of ordinary people are not comfortable with digital payments and there exists a sizable section which prefers using physical cash.
5708  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: November 10, 2019, 07:12:56 AM
It's really hard to tell because it really depends on the situation. Crypto and stock market are somehow correlated to each other. They can be both influenced by the economic condition factor in which if the stock crashes, the economic condition could be dramatically be bearish causing others to pull out their assets such as cryptocurrency investment.

What sort of correlation is there between the two (stock market and cryptocurrency market)? IMO, there is hardly any connection, as both are as different as fire and ice. The only vague co-relation I could think about is that in case the stock market is down, then there can be a slight decline in the interest for cryptocurrency. Because people will be left with less money to spend and therefore Bitcoin purchases can also go down.
5709  Economy / Economics / Re: At which price will loose Bitcoin the dominance in the Crypto Market? on: November 10, 2019, 06:36:57 AM
After rising from 45% to around 70%, the Bitcoin dominance seems to be stable now. However, the next bull rally should see the dominance rising from the current levels to somewhere around 75%-80%, or even higher. Because the next block reward halving is fast approaching and we can expect the spike resulting from that within the next 2-3 months.
5710  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: November 10, 2019, 06:29:34 AM
This is time to realize that scamming is not related to technologies or systems, it is issue with the mentality of people. As you stated, as long as people think evil scamming would be there. We shall not only educate people about bad effects so shortcut earnings but also secure our systems in order to protect innocent people. Bitcoin is just a technology it is not directing people towards scamming rather it is sick mentality of users.

We need to ask ourselves why scamming is so frequent in cryptocurrency market. May be one of the reasons is that cryptocurrency users are easy to be fooled. There have been hundreds if not thousands of scam ICOs, and still people are ready to invest in them. First of all, the investors needs to be careful about their money. Once that happens, the incidence of scamming will decline.
5711  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: November 10, 2019, 06:21:29 AM
I can see that the discussion got diverted from the original topic. The OP was asking how to encourage Bitcoin users to treat BTC as a currency, rather than as an investment asset. First of all, the transaction fee needs to be reduced to a sustainable level, if we want BTC to be used for payment purposes. With Paypal having a minimum fee of $0.30, do you think that a lot of people would be willing to pay $3 per transaction for using Bitcoin?
Many reply have give opinion out from what the OP ask with his topic, bitcointalk member want give opinion but have out from what writer want, bitcoin can use as currency if get allowed from government and people have use bitcoin with higher population, if still less people use bitcoin maybe not available if make bitcoin become as currency.

The governments will never allow Bitcoin to be used as a currency, because it represents a real threat to the respective national currencies and government's control over the population. They are tolerating the usage of cryptocurrency now, because it is mostly being used as an investment asset. If the usage pattern changes, then the attitude of the government may also change.
5712  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: November 10, 2019, 06:15:08 AM
When I first made my Bitcoin investment three years back (back then the exchange rate was $900 per coin), the amount came from my savings. But after 2017, most of the coins that I earned came from various bounty campaigns and airdrops. Now the prices have risen by so much (10x since 2017), that investing any amount in Bitcoin looks very risky.
5713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 10, 2019, 05:55:20 AM
Thrilling match going on b/w them. England are near to that target of 147. Just need 20 off 10 balls. What a way to end the series  Cheesy

The match went on to the super-over, and was won comfortably by England. Now they are even closer to the no.1 spot in the ICC rankings. New Zealand completely lost it, when they asked Seifert to open. Guptill got only one ball and in case he had opened the batting then the outcome could have been different. Anyway, the series is now over and England has won it.
5714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can share your own opinion if you have. on: November 09, 2019, 04:03:36 PM
I would stick with investing, because trading didn't worked well for me. I tried it a few times in 2017, and incurred heavy losses. Never had the courage to do it again. On the other hand, medium-term and long-term holding worked wonders for me. I purchased BTC when the price was around $900 per coin (if I am not wrong, the purchase was made on January 2017). And now I am sitting in top of 10x gains.
5715  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2019, 03:57:42 PM
This partnership was treating West Indies. Good thing that finally Cottrell got Zadran and now Nabi gone too :-P
I have some amounts for WI and now I feel a bit relaxed although I got some shit odds :-D

They're done here. Rashid Khan was the last hope and he's gone too. Now they need 64 more, with just 2 wickets remaining. Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Sharafuddin Ashraf batting right now and I don't think that they can do much. And Naveen-ul-Haq is not very renowned for his batting skills either. Afghanistan had a chance, but they wasted it when they conceded so many runs in the final overs when West Indies was batting. A few good individual performances won't get them anywhere. They needs to start winning matches.
5716  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Africa be a good place for crypto? on: November 09, 2019, 03:30:27 PM
Will people in  Africa be smart enough for crypto?

Cryptocurrency is not rocket science. It is actually quite easy to store your coins and to do transactions with them. Tutorials are available in Youtube and other social media channels. In fact, I would say that using cryptocurrency is easier than operating an online bank account, or paying your bills with a credit card. So I would say that your question is irrelevant here.
5717  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: November 09, 2019, 03:21:01 PM
It's not just Malaysia. Here in India, we have even more bizarre laws. Recently the government made it an offense to keep more than $3,000 in physical cash at home. They want to track each and every transactions and the anonymity offered by physical cash has been an obstacle for that. And already many of the countries have recalled the high-denomination banknotes.
5718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 09, 2019, 03:01:22 PM
Looks like Afghanistan is inching towards another very heavy loss. They have lost 3 wickets already and the score is only 65/3. Once again, the top order has failed for Afghanistan. Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmat Shah both got good starts, but they need to convert these 20s and 30s to half-centuries. Javed Ahmadi had yet another failure today.
I always wonder what would have being their situation when Mohammad Shahzad was their opener, he usually gave them a good start and he always had a hard time with the cricket board and so is the reason he is not in the team, if they need to win matches and all of their major past victories Mohammad Shahzad was their main player in batting and they have good spinners who could bat a bit and all of their victories came because of the start they got and now they are struggling to find a good opening combination and now it is difficult to chase this score with the way West Indies is bowling and a wicket from here will expose the tail end and they could bat but highly unlikely they can chase this score as they still need 143 runs to win.

It's not like the issues between the ACB and Mohammad Shahzad propped up all of a sudden. The relation was cold for the last 2-3 years and it reached a breaking point when Shahzad was omitted from the world cup squad. After that he threatened to retire, but the selectors refused to give in to his demands. This is what happened back then:

5719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 09, 2019, 02:58:22 PM
Did anyone noticed the latest T20 ranking from ICC? Pakistan is still on top with 270 points from 31 matches. Australia is close behind with 269 points (difference of just 1 point). The good thing for Pakistan is that Australia doesn't have any T20 matches scheduled for the remainder of 2019. Their next T20 match is scheduled on 21st February 2020. So I guess Pakistan's top spot is quite safe, at least for the next 2-3 months.
Not safer if they continue such a pathetic form as they are in. They are going through a complete shakedown of their cricket team. I think players are good but they need to be recollected together and that requires a good leader. Current side is too young and looks pretty inexperienced if we leave one or two players. Moreover thing is they aren't even able to fetch new good raw talent from their PSL. Their next PSL is in Feb 2020 and I hope they can find some really good players in that tournament to prepare a good team for the upcoming world cup.

Short-fix solutions don't work. There are many reasons why things are not working out for Pakistan right now. First of all, due to financial constraints, their domestic cricket is in dire straits. This means that new players are not coming through and they have to depend on guys who are in their late 30s. And secondly, the player pool is getting smaller as there are few professionals now playing for the domestic cricket teams.
5720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin about to Make a Comeback? on: November 09, 2019, 02:46:53 PM
This coin is quite irritating. Everyone has written it off. Even I have made several posts against DOGE here in Bitcointalk. Personally I have tried to discourage a lot of people from investing in Dogecoin. But even after all that, it seems to be doing fine (at least when compared to the other coins). Sometimes within the cryptocurrency market, logic doesn't work.
