5721  Economy / Economics / Re: Alternative currency ( paper money ) on: November 07, 2018, 03:37:55 PM
Nope, fiat as it is is crazy easy to launder depending on the country. Unregulated ones will just throw a huge wrench on the current system and just crap on all of us. Besides, the execution of an unregulated paper currency is ridiculous. Monitoring it would be a night mare and imagine distribution of it too?
even if the digital currency is legalized by state, of course what policies will be made by government. especially paper currency, like today, i think it will be difficult to be decentralized, i can't imagine that
I don't think so if that digital money has been already legalized by the state as far as I know still that digital money(crypto) were not legalized and also not having regulation about this. Aside from other countries that until now they are still banning this kind of digital currency. Probably, the digital currency has the potential to be an alternative currency of paper money but as of now, we can't conclude.
5722  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 04, 2018, 04:25:37 PM

5723  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Twiiter Suspending Accounts on: November 04, 2018, 03:08:44 PM
5724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will die at 2027 on: November 04, 2018, 10:45:01 AM
Hey, guys. This year I became seriously interested in quantum computers. I came across here a study of Australian and Singaporean scientists about the security of Bitcoin: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1710.10377v1.pdf There are a lot of figures and formulas in the report, I haven't understood everything, but the main idea I've caught is that if Bitcoin doesn't implement post-quantum algorithms, it won't survive until 2027.
Currently, I'm thinking hard about how I could minimize the risks - all of the sudden, it may be true about quantum computers. What do you think, guys?
Maybe, there are already some projects that make a crypto with post-quantum protection? I think it should be implemented in Bitcoin blockchain

I don't want to talk about something that still on far away from us, and I am sure that if that thing happens, the bitcoin will evolve and transform to something better. We still need time before we can see what bitcoin looks in the future because bitcoin itself still grow every day and there are many people doesn't know about bitcoin. But I am sure that bitcoin can handle that things and even bitcoin will give something good for the user, so I don't have to worry about that.
I agree! It's too early to tell, Bitcoin has come so far, has helped a lot of people and will continue to touch lives of many especially for those who are true believers. Technology keeps on developing and so Bitcoin will. I don't know why some resort to ideas of Bitcoin coming to an end. We can have different speculations but for me, Bitcoin can certainly survive if we keep our hope firm and our support strong.
Lol, probably OP have an ability to watch of what will happen in the future or the writer on that article. Yes, I also agree on both of you guys it's too early to predict and that year it's too far from now we could not easily believe if that really happen in the future. All we have to do now is to help the market grow by holding our coins not to do the panic selling.
5725  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you ever wonders why we are using this paper as money? on: November 04, 2018, 05:33:27 AM
Just want to share the details about the people who ever thinks that why we need to use just paper as currency and we all are working hard to get those paper.People claiming that bitcoin is not virtual so it cannot be considered as money or they call it as scam or ponzi but they are using just papers for centuries and those paper currency were made out of thin air.
Paper money has a value than can be hold or touch.Rigjt government approved its usage for masses and for long years these have been very functional that is why theres a big issue on the cryptocurrencies existence because people make used in fiat or paper money and not cryptocurrency.
In addition in your reply, paper money is now currently used because it is a traditional currency since trading or exchanging item is gone because they found out that it is not worth it. Paper money exists until because you can buy the products even where you are, not like the cryptocurrency you need to have an internet connection just to purchase. So, paper money is the right currency to us and cryptocurrency is just like a gold or silver that we can earn a profit.
5726  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 Things Traders Must Do To Be Successful on: November 02, 2018, 05:29:50 PM
Not only with the single step when you begin trading you may successful, but you also have faced many losses before you've learned in trading strategies. OP has been a good point on the post, but an experience to be a successful trader is a must and not relying on others hand work just like listening to others opinion. Of course, don't forget to choose reliable and having good reputation exchanges.
5727  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many exchanges? on: October 31, 2018, 05:20:29 PM
There's nothing wrong if they have a lot of exchanges emerging every month or even week as long as they are in a good service not on the shady one like an exchange that has a ton of reports here due to unresolved complaints to their traders. A lot of exchange then for sure there is also a lot of people crypto enthusiasts who adopt on trading as a business that I think it will contribute to help market turns to green color price number. Choosing a good exchange will lead you to a success.
Yun lang naman ang hindi eh, maraming tao dito na established members of the forum na meron alt accounts, whether they say it's for unsecured connections or something. Kung meron naman maisusuggest ang ibang tao towards the prevention of spammers flooding the forum etc, mag post lang sa meta.
Correct, the purpose of merit system para mabawasan yung mga spammer at lalong lalo na yung gusto lang nila kumikita hindi na iniisip kung nakakatulong paba sila sa forum. Usually kasi sa mga newbies they are abusing bounties, through claiming airdrops and a lot of bounties work kung lahat ganyan paano na ang forum?
Well, tama lang talaga yan to illuminate those abusers that I mention above.
5729  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Blockchain at crypto meetup, conference at forum on: October 29, 2018, 07:31:13 AM

5732  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: is bitcoin is a private currency on: October 28, 2018, 10:19:49 AM
As per Wikipedia, the definition of a private currency is as below,

"Private currency is a currency issued by a private entity, be it an individual, a commercial business or a nonprofit enterprise. It is often contrasted with fiat currency issued by governments or central banks. In many countries, the issuance of private paper currencies is severely restricted by law."

So as per the legal definition, bitcoin doesn't qualify to be a private currency. Bitcoin or any other crypto currency is mainly a new kind of currency whose legal definition is still not framed correctly. Definitely these are not private currencies by the definition. Private ICOs are more closely related to private currencies by definition where the tokens are issued and controlled by a certain company using a private blockchain.

Yes, you are right, sir
Bitcoin has no legal umbrella, and is not the same as paper currency, paper currency has the legal umbrella of each country, while bitcoin is not legalized and but is not prohibited from using bitcoin.
It is prohibited when the government in your country hating crypto and banning this technology. Yes, cryptocurrencies are not yet legalized to all countries you couldn't call this as a private currency that you may have right to hold as long as you want. But, those countries did not have any law regarding crypto they are lucky enough and enjoy using this technology. We need more time to realize the government how useful these cryptos.
5733  Economy / Economics / Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business? on: October 28, 2018, 09:48:49 AM
Of course, it helps a lot of people but not worldwide. Because cryptocurrency has not yet legalized to all countries and still there are too many countries that this technology is banned from them. But I saw the opportunity that brings on this crypto to my country since we are crypto friendly, but there are some countries against into this. So it is impossible to become a world business.
5734  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there any chance of having one global currency? on: October 28, 2018, 05:41:36 AM
Could you see a future wherein the entire world shares one global currency, be it fiat or crypto? If I think it in a scifi kind of way, it would most probably be some digital currency that could all just use. It doesn't even have to be in this century. Maybe the next?
I think cryptocurrency is acting now as one global currency but as of now, this currency is not intended for paying bills because people treat this as an asset to them which is they hold for a long-term and expecting to have a huge profit on this. Yes, a global currency but this is not like fiat that every people use to pay their bills.
5735  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 28, 2018, 04:24:02 AM
Sana pwede nang magamit ang Coins.ph app sa pagbili ng groceries through QR code scanner in popular supermarkets like Robinsons and SM.

Hopefully, the management team of Coins.ph will see this concern para naman sa improvement ng service nila.

5736  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell us about your experience on: October 27, 2018, 07:56:46 PM
Friends  Wink
I want to share your experience with you.
Since the first time I got to know cryptocurrency I initially did not believe that cryptocurrency can help my economy, after I did it in various ways to work, finally now I can meet the economic needs of my family.
That nice to hear, well, congrats to you and your family as well. I just got related to your story, I also have an extra income through this cryptocurrency. To fulfill my daily needs and of course those my monthly paying bills also were credited into this kind of source of income.
Aside from that, cryptocurrency also can contribute the economic growth on the state because I think unemployed people can get profit on this kind of technology. So, keep it up working and hunting bitcoin we know someday it will help us in financial problem.
5737  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How is a day of a crypto trader? on: October 27, 2018, 05:39:37 PM
As what you have said you are new in the crypto world, then you need to have a lot of research before engaging into that trading business.
Day trading is so stressful you need to look at the price movement in the market cap every now and then, and basically, you have a good analysis which better coin you must to picked and pump up at that day, so risky if you know. If I were you right now, much better to have a good research or better idea hire a personal coach on how to works in trading.

5739  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Inspire other to use Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency on: October 27, 2018, 02:36:48 PM
If I were you don't push them to convince in investing Cryptocurrency lalong lalo na sa Bitcoin, kasi kapag nag failure sila they probably blamed you on that matter. So, let them decide by their selves ang sayo lang guide mo lang sila kung paano ang gawin but when it come convincing ibang usapan na yan just to motivating them. Indeed, let them decide their selves.
