5722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or EOS? on: February 25, 2019, 10:52:37 PM
Holder of both ETH and EOS here but even a blind man can see that ETH is a bigger player.
If it wasn't for Ether, we wouldn't be seeing most of the wonderfully projects around as it was the launch pad for most of them
5723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Attention Token (BAT) & Brave Browser on: February 25, 2019, 10:48:18 PM

That is the first time to hear that they have this feature I might actually try it soon.
It's why I am using brave now. You just click on open new window with Tor and boom there you go.

5724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: February 25, 2019, 10:42:13 PM
I would like the EOS to move forward more quickly, conquering space Ethereum.
I doubt that will ever happen. Not any time soon. Much as I like EOS and even hold some of it Ethereum is a much bigger match for it. EOS seems to attract mostly games based Dapps... Ethereum caters for all.
EOS's closest competitor could be TRON
5725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mobile or card ? on: February 25, 2019, 10:38:37 PM
How would you prefer to spend your crypto,
NFC mobile wallet or NFC Debit Card?

NFC debit card is much more likable
5726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money? on: February 25, 2019, 10:36:14 PM
Not anymore it better to get hold of your money and do something with it, like day trading.
ICOs have been infested with scammers and manipulators and i wouldn't advice anyone to invest in any however promising it looks.
5727  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Have you actually used bitcoin for any payment in your country? on: February 25, 2019, 10:32:58 PM
Not yet as I haven't seen any service that accepts bitcoin as a payment here. I would most certainly use it if i saw one.
I however do use bitcoin for online shopping on certain bitcoin accepting vendors and other online services like cell phone voucher refills
5728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: February 25, 2019, 10:23:50 PM
Experienced and retired gambler here. Never get lied to that a certain strategy works better than the other. It's all about luck. If you want to get out of gambling get something interesting to do that can make you so busy. You will be out in no time.
5729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you bet? on: February 25, 2019, 10:13:14 PM
My strategy was kinda funny. I would only bet Over 2.5 goals only.
But I would look for odds that are only 2.00 and above
Each ticket would have 2x2.00 or above(4.00 or above) only

My thinking was that Over 2.5 goals is quite easy compared to win draw win< the probability of the former is 1/2 while the later is 1/3
5730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting tips informations on: February 25, 2019, 10:07:01 PM
tomorrow i will have a tip
Good, because people won't believe a newbie account here without any reputation. Sorry if you are genuine but it's what bitcointalk community has turned out to be. People have been scammed using newbie accounts before so most of them get paranoid when they see a newbie offer something.
5731  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting started with Google Authenticator on: February 25, 2019, 10:01:27 PM
This is what I use and it runs offline too.
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/authenticator/bhghoamapcdpbohphigoooaddinpkbai?utm_source=chrome-ntp-icon

I have been using it for four years.

I think a standalone app would be much better and also having it on multiple devices. Encrypted with a master password of course.
5732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2008 financial crisis with bitcoin? on: February 25, 2019, 09:57:10 PM
What do you think is the likelihood of a 2008 financial crisis happening again if we only used bitcoin and there were no fiat money at all?
My believe is that it would still be all the same.
I don't think Bitcoin would stop inflation or deflation. We are only a few users on it, but we can already feel the effects of its price drops.
5733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to replace fiat on: February 25, 2019, 09:50:25 PM
<...>
My friend if you are thinking in those lines then I bet you will be disappointed.
This world is all about control of power and money. There will still be cases of fraud, corruption, poverty even if blockchain technology gets massively adopted.
It has already happened here in the forum with our beloved Bitcoin. People are scamming and defrauding others almost every day.
Never ever have very high hopes on humanity
5734  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scammers now in telegram on: February 25, 2019, 09:41:02 PM
The problem is not only in telegram, scam is everywhere even here on bitcointalk. The only thing that helps us is that Bitcointalk is moderated and scammers can be identified and tagged before they can do more damage. You have to be very vigilant when it comes to your own money and private keys.
5735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic Attention Token (BAT) & Brave Browser on: February 25, 2019, 09:35:23 PM
Don't know much about BAT and am not even sure how i can earn it but i have been using brave browser for a while now. Its really cool and i love it's privacy and anti tracking features not forgetting the default search engine Duckduckgo  Grin
The availability of Tor browsing feature in it is a total win for me.
5736  Other / Off-topic / Re: Most ICOs are SCAMS nowadays. on: February 25, 2019, 09:25:22 PM
Even back then 2016, 2017 they were scam. What has really helped expose this scam ICO is the bear market. Most projects that were just after money and no working product just ended up seeing their collected funds depreciate, and they had no solution but to excite or keep promising investor to wait in hope that the market may turn out good again.
5737  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★ A Complete Guideline to use forum search button properly ★ on: February 25, 2019, 09:20:59 PM
Maybe because of no one gave guidelines like this how to use it properly.Even myself just uses google search with bitcointalk keyword in it because I feels forum search button is very slow and not accurate.
True the forum search is slow sometime especially if you use the advanced search feature. It may sometimes even end up displaying a page with a message that server is taking too long to respond which can be so annoying if you are in a hurry to such.
Searching of google with the format DdmrDdmr has suggested is probably the best way at the moment.
5738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ways to Raise Prices bitcoin on: February 25, 2019, 09:14:45 PM
- creat special box loan fund (1 - 10 percent profit after 6 month & 0.01 percent profit after 1 month in top and trust exchange like binance , bitfinex , bittrex ) and that will encourage investor for holding their bitcoin with profit(  imagine if people invest about 1000000 btc for 6 moth and they can't desactive investement before 6 month.that can make price in stability and  bitcoin will gain time to 2020 and circulation of bitcoin will drop little)

What happened to decentralization. I thought bitcoin was meant to defeat centralization.
This will make bitcoin look like a ponzi scheme. Let the people determine the market price of the coin through demand and supply the natural way, not through enforced restrictions.
5739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we finally in BULL MARKET? on: February 25, 2019, 09:10:00 PM
Doesn't seem anything like a bull market to me... These are just small rises in prices which eventually correct within a week. I will only start believing that the bull market is one when the price smashes past 5K - 6K
5740  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY THE SUDDEN DUMP WITHOUT ANY MAJOR NEWS? on: February 25, 2019, 09:05:46 PM
Welcome to the new era of crypto trading. Gone are the days when news would lead to a pump and a sudden dumping of the market. What we are seeing these days are just movements. What you need to know is to have perfect timing on when to sell or buy or just hold to avoid all the TA stress.
