As far as I'm concerned, MyBitcoin never had any stolen BTC.  <snipped a bunch of asinine comments>

Mental note.  Include tybcof in my personal list of potential scammers.

tybcof what is next?  Rationalizations on how rape isn't exactly rape?

She deserved it I tell you!

I think I can try something without needing a bear avatar(can't seem to get my uploaded avatar to show on here).Think I can slip in here without issue.

Use imgur.com to upload the image first, then use the address for that image and select the radio button for using an existing image.

http://www.reddit.com/r/endthebanks/

I will be giving a Bitcoin to the top 1000th post submitted on the r/EndTheBanks reddit; whoever has the link/selfpost with the most upvotes within 1000 posts on the subreddit will win.

If you win, you can either send me your Bitcoin address directly on here, Reddit or post it within your link/selfpost. I will contact you directly otherwise. You will have a total of 30 days to claim the prize, otherwise it is forfeit.

Thanks!

Rofl. Aaaand here's Atlas again up to the same old tricks, the same old self-important "friend buying"  tactics. For not 'caring' about people's opinions of you Atlas, you sure do like to try to wave money in people's face to get them to listen to you.

Only here to get a coder for a project, huh?

Aha, Grin I think the world should be managed by this way.

From what I can tell from the very short "proposal" is that people with money make all the rules. Congratulations! The world IS managed this way already!

So who else here can look at EndTheBanks's post history and not think that it's Atlas?

me, because I'm new and don't know who Atlas is/was. And don't care either Tongue

Here is my concept of organization democracy: http://x.co/dreamz. you can read example one firstly, Thanks for your attention!

Quote from: http://x.co/dreamz
Democracy Organization
Income split democratically, without distinguish part or fully time work. At first, I have no credit, but we can start money split from a small account (such as 1$). I think the first step is building  an online system that other people could utilize this concept, I prefer an open source project. If you accept this concept and want to take part in, please contact me.

Twitter: DreamzXu
Email:   Dreamz.xu@gmail.com

BASIC IDEA:

There are many discuss to organization democracy, most of them are focus on decision democracy. Here will focus on limited resources distribution by the way of democracy, every member make decision with free will. Assume that everyone has equal rights to distribute resources of their own organization, the goal is who get more or less resource, for some examples: who get more salary or prize? who's paper issue firstly? Which research project accepts more support? In this organization, take every member as both voter and candidate, everyone has the same rights to vote (to easy operation, 2 to 10 votes is ok, include one likely self-selection) and get proportionally (for some situation, such as contest prize, members get non-proportional with votes).

Example 1: Profit split.
       A team of 20 people get 1000$, assume everyone have 5 vote rights. If someone accepts 6 votes, he gets: 6*1000$/ (5*20) =60$;
Another unlucky people who get 4 votes, he gets 40$.

Example 2: Both participant and referee.
Ten musician hold a music party, to rating who are the best performance. They can vote each other (two to nine votes for one), everyone accepts rates from 0 to 10 vote, the top performance would get 10 votes.

Example 3: Land Mars.
Some people want to land Mars, but they have no money, so each one make a plan and rating anonymously, the most rate plan execute firstly.

Other situations
In fact, luck is a part of life. For online voting system, it is easy to add or delete one election randomly for every ballot and disable self-selection. Random factor would enhance voter's anonymity and reduce class concept. Some people may argue that salary should be privacy, but in most situations, only partial salary will decided by this way, a member spent how much proportion of his part for work or salary is privacy.

Thank you! Eight orders in less than two days - a pleasant surprise! (was expecting much more skepticism from the Bitcoin community to be sincere). Seems like Bitcoin is truly taking off! Cheesy

Waiting for first feedback Smiley

I once polled about the viability of a service like yours but I was advised against it for both legal issues and low demand. In that, I hope tht if you are in fact doing things legally and above board, that your business is a thriving success. Also, I hate smokers, smoking and the attitude that it's okay to do, but I do love me some bitcoin businesses.

Why is your profile photo fake btw?
5737  Economy / Goods / Re: [SMOKERS] Introducing Cigs.eu - Buy Cheap Cigarettes with Bitcoins on: January 08, 2012, 09:48:39 PM
@Matthew - Thanks for the feedback. It is me personally who is in the online tobacco business for 5 years (i.e. warehouse, customer support - 2 people employed, good reputation in the eyes of the postal office, processing companies and customers) - it's the domain name and the 'brand' that are new. Yes, maybe there is a bit of bluff involved, but it is certainly not a lie. I am now in the process of converting all my other (4 in total) websites to accepting Bitcoins as well (first one registered in 2006). The reason for having a couple of shops instead of just one is purely a SEO one (different keywords, different countries), in case you wonder. Same explanation goes for the "About Us" page - the website is brand new. Concerning the template for the OpenCart open-source cart, it is not free actually, and even if it was, it still looks nice in my opinion!

Thanks for clearing it up mate. I have a nose and I can't deny it when it tells me something smells funny, that's all. ^_-

Is it legal for you to mail cigs internationally? I think I've seen this issue addressed on the forums before.
5738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BitTalk.TV Interview with Zhou Tong of Bitcoinica.com on: January 08, 2012, 09:14:10 PM
EDIT:

BitTalk.TV will interview Zhou Tong this week regarding the now famous Bitcoinica.com.

We’ll probe his mind on the making of bitcoinica, the issues he faced, the success of it, and his future projects.  During the interview, Zhou Tong will be announcing some very important news that you won’t want to miss.

If you have a question you’d like Zhou Tong to answer during our interview, please post it below.

If it makes it on air, we’ll give you a free issue of BitTalk Magazine, the new digital magazine made for bitcoiners, by bitcoiners.

Everyone at BitTalk.TV would like to introduce themselves here and announce our plans for 2012 (which we are all very thrilled about).

For the sake of consolidation and avoiding spam, we’ll be putting all updates and announcements into this thread and changing the title of it accordingly.

In 2011, I had some fun with a webcam and some stories that I thought someone should talk about. That grew to a whole bunch of people being interested in doing it right and not the shitty way I was doing it alone.

After a pretty handsome donation from some hardcore bitcoiners and my inspiration to do something entertaining, I mostly ad-libbed an entire Christmas Special. It wasn’t meant to be serious, and it was coming right off the heels of a death in the family and our funds coming in late (e.g. we had 2 weeks to buy all the necessary equipment in Korea, plan, write and shoot everything, and none of us had worked together before).

We had some fun with a camera and now we know what not to do (like recording skype calls as AVI at a different framerate than our Premiere projects and to CS5.5 instead of trying to get 2 machines with CS4 and CS3 to work together well.)

After the Christmas Special, people knew that I was actually serious about what I’m doing, and by association what everyone who believes in BitTalk.TV is doing behind the scenes. With that came another handsome donation of proper state of the art rendering hardware.

We’ve come a long way from CosbyCoin webcam announcements and recording everything on my iPhone, but we’re still only getting warmed up. We’ve got a digital magazine planned for release at the end of the month as well.

The idea behind bittalk.tv is a simple one-- provide some actual quality entertainment in combination with some vivid education. Something we want to stay away from is 45 minute self-important interviews, crackhead-like fidgetting, and constantly belittling everyone who comes on our shows.

We truly hope the community supports us for what we do, but the bottom line is, even if they don't, we're doing it anyway because it's fun and we want to.

The day before yesterday when I gave an interview with Charlie Shrem of BitInstant, he told me that bitcoin needs a proper media outlet and that he believes we can be it. I hope nothing I do fucks it up, and that's why I try to get others involved in what I do-- to make sure it has the proper substance in addition to the obvious enthusiasm that comes out my every hole. With time, the things I record will stop looking like they came out of the larger of those holes.

Thanks.

This thread is live! That means that the topic will change and all future announcements will be posted directly here. Might want to subscribe!
5739  Other / Off-topic / Re: Abolish the Minimum Wage Law on: January 08, 2012, 09:05:09 PM
Raise the minimum wage so that more people have more money which they can spend, stimulating the economy.

All that would do is devalue an already worthless dollar. It would create nothing. If anything, it would raise food costs and force employers to raise prices.

It's called inflation. It doesn't work and it sustained The Great Depression. Bernanke and friends keep telling you it works and you believe it does in the face of destruction.

Hurr Durr Keynesianism

I think you are confused. Case in point: Australia.

Australia has thriving trade agreements with one of the world's only sovereign nations: China. The Chinese currency is actually owned by the people that hold it. It's not backed by debt and the Australians benefit from it.

I think you are confusing Keynesian policy with actual productive activity.

Now UN and NATO influence is putting American troops on Australian soil. You know why?

The banks don't like the economic freedom around there one freaking bit. It's not going to last for long. I am going to put my money on it.

The Eastern hemisphere's sovereignty is going to be challenged tooth-and-nail in the coming decades and most of it is going to be done through war and war never changes. It debases currency and destroys sovereignty. It will all be centralized into larger nations, fewer currencies and more control.

So $17/hr minimum wage is paid by China? Can you elaborate?

There is not much economic freedom in Australia. Its banking and industry are heavily regulated.

No, the Chinese don't get paid in debt. They get paid in actual currency. That's why there is no such thing as a jobless Chinese: there is actual wealth creation and not a hopeless circle of debt.

If you were to pay off all of Australia's debt, there would be no more Australian banknotes. Australian citizen's get paid in currency that is owned by Chinese and European shareholder's that can be taken away from the citizens at anytime.

You're right, there's not. Again, they are living off the Chinese: they own the country.  An Australian's productivity is only collateral much like a US citizen's.

You have not addressed Australia's $17/hr minimum wage, it's socialized medicine or how it is funded. You keep going on about China. China exploits its natural resources for profit, just like every other country on earth. So why is everyone there so poor? Why the China circle-jerk, rather than an explanation?

Do you think australia is a big wasteland with people working for China? What about all the industry?

Side note,

It's funded by subsidization and an endless cycle of unsustainable debt provided by China.

China has poor people but the poor don't stay poor forever. They have an economic ladder than actually be reached from the bottom. Australia does not.

You done fucked up the pyramid, Matthew.

 Cry
