Actually,

It's your ego that's getting in the way at the moment. AMT isn't working around the community, nor are we hiding lol. We just don't care to write on this forum anymore as we explained last month. Even though we don't engage in your daily crap fest we're still just as popular either way, so why should we loose our time like opieum2. And please be sure that we're contributing to the community everyday, we resent that statement. Do notice its the same 4-6 individuals that comment about about us, and it's been that way since ...January. And please know they are wrong about so many things, but we feel there's no point even to go into it. We're not gonna sit on this forum day after day and loose our time arguing with the same people whose sole purpose is to have us do just that. For support issues you're welcome to email us at sales@amtminers.com and someone will get back to your shortly.

And to our glorious colleagues, you're pregame of crap before the price spike probably wont make much of a difference in the outcome of AMT sales, AMT doesn't make any sales due to our terrible reputation, but you guy's already know that. But we're still trying everyday as some of you can see.

Here's some advice:. buy bitcoin. Buy it today under 360, hold for 2-3 days with a stop order at 430. When it sells, immediately after place a buy order at 395, hold for 4-5 days with a stop at 540. Invest at your own risk.

But what do we know, we're just a bunch of "idiots with a moronic CEO that seems to know nothing about technology".  Wink

And sorry about Vegas guys, we wanted to go but something came up and we couldn't make it. Maybe next time if things start to look up.

For anything else please feel free to email us at Sales@AMTminers.com as we don't write on this forum too often.

An ja, day trading is profitable if one is inclined to pay proper attention. Heck, would have done well to buy a few BTC a couple days ago at 280 but thass not our game. Closest I come to it was watching the value for buying a S4. With the plumet had to hold off a bit but now 1 on the way Smiley

Hmm, wonder if there is a reasonable way to link to my archive of the AMT NDA-only Skype chatroom I created up to where you left on Aug 29th... At 200+ pages is a bit long to directly post here Wink

<snip>
Unfortunately though, he doesn't seem to have been around for a while and I had to publish as it had been too long.
The last known contact with Joshua Zipkin of AMT Miners by us in the Skype chat room was August 24 and he left the room Friday Aug 29, 2014 @ 2:50pm after the chats were made public.

I'll have to give that one a try, mine is v722. Ever figure out the ssh user login and pw?

Since Joshua Zipkin et al of AMT do not respond to support email/calls, has anyone directly contacted AMT's lawyers with their issues?

I'd think for folks like Rik that have still not gotten a psu Advanced Miners lawyers would be mighty concerned about that. They can't exactly turn away AMT's clients who are voicing their concerns now can they? They should be obliged to at respond putting more damning evidence in the legal chain if AMT doesn't deal with it.

Of course they can, they are paid to provide legal counsel and legal representation to their clients.  The only group of people that will provide less information about AMT than AMT themselves is their lawyers.  All you are ever getting out of them is boiler plate man.

You got a CS issue, deal with AMT, can't get a hold of AMT file a law suit then the lawyers will get involved!
Never said anything about getting information from the lawyers. Yes pretty sure it will be a boilerplate response. Just state the facts of your claim on the hardware received, attempts to contact AMT for relief and stick to that. Keep it Formal and don't be a pest once the reply comes..

But - point is the contact with them and your claim directly becomes part of AMT's lawyers legal documents. Ones that Josh cannot change nor deny and since it is unlikely for AMT's lawyers to volunteer said documents it can be later brought up by Plaintiffs that they DO exist and AMT's consul *is* aware of them and through them, Josh is as well.

As Joshua Zipkin/AMT's legal consul the lawyers certainly do not have to (or have the power to) act on our input regarding AMT's unfulfilled orders they do still have the responsibility to notify Josh about it. What he does from there is between him and his lawyers.

As always excellent review. I will note the same as MrPark. The company should be avoided. Their hardware is deceptively advertised at rates higher than the hardware actually goes. The webUI reports inaccurately 1.27 all the time regardless of the pool rate despite the other numbers being refreshed. Leads me to think its a false hashrate. I don't see this with any other miner product. It's just another case of smoke and mirrors with Joshua Zipkin deceiving people. Also should be noted that ssh access is possible BUT sadly they don't provide that info or they lie about the logins. It required some hacking the image to actually get SSH working properly in my case.

FYI the SAME model is reported on their site as 1.3Ths. So again more lies from this company. AVOID!! Oh and according to them, I am their official support contact. I am not. They passed the buck off to me. And I am trying to get Joshua Zipkin arrested for putting my family in danger. That should speak volumes about the company itself. Considering he thought it was a terrible idea to send a review unit initially to dogie, find it hilarious he took my idea and ran with it. I will post the chat log later where that comes up Wink
Agree 100% with Opieum and Mr. Park: Avoid AMTproducts/services!!
I too finally got my miner. Despite assurances from Joshua Zipkin in MY Skype chat room (I'm customer2 there) that mine was one of ones shipping *with* a psu, it of course arrived without one...

On mine all 3 fans had their wires cut leaving about a 1" stub from the fans. Long 3-wire cables were connected to the stubs and ran to the controller board, plugged in there and hot glued as well. Those turbine fans are definite pulls from salvaged servers.

Mine as well was filthy and obviously ran for more than 'a few days and the rooms are really dusty' as Josh replied when I pressed him about it. Josh, remember that I build industrial equipment? I have gear in places from clean rooms to absolutely horrid metal foundry conditions. I know dirt buildup rates.  Not only the fans and insides of the case covered in fine dust but even on the ends of the heatsinks in back where vortexes form had long term build up. As in growths about 2mm thick...

Since my miner arrived without a psu I had time to kill until one arrived (a week later - I got Lucky!) so cleaned it up and replaced all 3 fans with ones from Bgear. Also added a cover directly over the top of the row of hash board heat sinks to channel all airflow from the fans through/over the heatsinks. Works quite well.

I will say kudos on the heatsinks: Both the main bottom ones and the top sinks are 1st rate and well done, even have tapered fins with further tiny fins on them for great efficiency. Beats the hell out of the massive bulk-extruded ones from the 1st try versions.. Then again, Innosilicon had plenty of time to observe the screwups from Bitmine.ch/AMT and a couple other companies betting on the A1 chip as they floundered with a horrible thermal and PD layout. Inno saw the obvious flaws with the original thermal and power layouts and Got It Right. Yes, they then released the new and IMHO far superior board design for folks to make boards and miner using their chips.

My miner album warts and all: http://imgur.com/a/DmzAv

Hashrate reported on the web gui is always 1.2th. Never ever changes like my Ants do. However - again I got Lucky: My pool consistently reports 980ghs-1.2ths as the swing and pretty much a solid hair over 1th as average.

Damn - should have gone to the Casino that week... Actually finally got a miner from AMT (6 months late), actually got a psu from them for it, it runs per-spec speed and, after cleaning out the dirt it looks pretty rad with the Bgear fans...

Wow that is some dodgy wiring.
To say the least. On mine all 3 fans had their wires cut leaving about a 1" stub from the fans. Long 3-wire cables were connected to the stubs and ran to the controller board, plugged in there and hot glued as well. Those turbine fans are definite pulls from salvaged servers.

It seems that with his new AMT site, Joshua Zipkin is again trying to re-write things. Tried to get into my AMT account that was setup when I ordered back in Feb. and get: " No account with that name exists".

I take it he has purged the customer database thinking we will go away as well Roll Eyes

So, I guess they just needed more time, guys.

"All we needed was two more weeks and we would have shipped out all our orders ! Honest Abe !"
lol! A line straight out of Joshua Zipkin's playbook.
Later followed by "All existing orders have been shipped"

Someones pantalones de feugo...

Finally! Wonder if the other manufacturers with bad business practices and ethics will learn from this ?  They are not so untouchable after all
I doubt they will. Call it the Enron Syndrome: They think they are doing nothing wrong and are only 'pushing the boundaries' of rules and regulations. To folks like that, the hell with the intent of the regs! They feel it is a game to see how far they can go and still be within the letter of the law.

Guess what BFL and Friends such as (ahem) AMT and Joshua Zipkin - you folks long ago crossed over from pushing to flagrant violation and unlike Enron you can't bury the facts in complex transactions.

I'm surprised that the hash rate on EMC hasn't dropped at all.
I'm not.  If they are on there they are running small potatoes. I'm #4 there and running only 8TH. Biggest miner on EMC is 33 TH with #2 @ 20TH.

Why are you still mining on EMC?  I would be worried that it will shut down at any moment and any account balances will be locked up.
Not a concern because unlike many other pools they pay within minutes of hitting the payout trigger I set. In this case my worst loss would be being out a couple days of hashing and 0.1btc (payout trigger).

These chips are available for immediately delivery after your purchase is verified and confirmed. Methods of payment include Wire Transfer, ACH Transfers, BTC payment, LTC payment, and of course we accept all forms of checks as well.

Another lie from Josh Zipkin and his AMT scam machine. I know for a fact they can't accept reality checks.
But they did take personal checks though have trouble remembering which bank(s) they are deposited in... Probably still the same.

I checked my order status 13XX and it changed from processing to Publish today, anyone else notice this....even though I asked for a refund and have not received a reply.

Also, went by both of AMTs offices in PA and no one home.
Just checked my AMT Order status and still says:
Quote
Order    Date    Status    Total
#1565    February 27, 2014    on-hold    $4,089.00 for 1 item

Rather amusing considering I finally got my miner (upgraded to 1.2TH as well the few other 520's) about 2 weeks ago and the psu for it a week after that...

Be sure to watch this video VERY carefully, removing the caps in your X3 is EXTREMELY complex!!!!!!!  Wink

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=564-sYaXYfI#t=45
I hope to god BA didn't post that procedure... If they did they just violated sooo many rules.
As a 'hobbyist' item perhaps it can be gotten away with. As a Consumer item - no. At that level as in No Consumer Replaceable parts.

Let me guess - those caps are in the hot zone right? And were perhaps the 'wet' variety?  Roll Eyes

Just got 2 of your adapters for the HP Common Slot PSU's and gotta say, very nice.

The only niggle I would have for the next batch is lose the connections to the 4 pins (2 top, 2 bottom) on either side of where the + and _ power planes on the psu come together. It will minimize chance of a short if the psu board/socket are a hair off alignment.

For info on finding out what the other control pins do, try http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=18058250&postcount=599

Link to the complete specs list pdf current to Feb this year http://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c04111541 Covers every variant of them so you know what the exact specs are.

^^ Faboo!
Have you figured out the connections for n+1 operation? That would be icing on the cake.

No, sorry, we looked at it but couldn't get n+1 for a reasonable cost since it would require bus bars between the boards to do it safely.
As a ready-made assembly, ja. Still... Do you know/can tell us the control pins used to sense the slave buses? Others should be for setting current limit and supply status.

I'm pretty sure that pin can also be used for remote sensing at the load point to make up for drop over the power leads as well as letting you set the voltage out using a pot or external reference source.

every single one of those kits exploded and/or caught on fire. does that count as a "delivery"?
No they didn't. Only a few released the Majik Smoke Wink None literally caught fire. Could have but didn't. However, as far as I know all of the kits are now dead.
5740  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AMT Order List, Revised. on: September 09, 2014, 02:03:01 PM
Order 1565 for a 520ghs miner was upgraded to a 1.2TH by AMT and received on 8/20/2014.
Came without a PSU but AMT did later send one. Hashing on-spec.
