5721  Other / Meta / Re: Give moderators the option to demerit when a post is deleted on: October 26, 2019, 10:01:28 PM
I doubt that theymos would want to make merit system moderated. Things like merit and trust are left to community. Maybe your idea isn't bad, but it would add additional work for moderators, while they already have enough things to do. Rather giving demerit button for moderators, it would be better to add demerit sources as LoyceV offered. Though I'm not big fan of demerit thing.
5722  Other / Meta / Re: Can FunCAPTCHA be used instead of ReCAPTCHA at BitcoinTalk? on: October 26, 2019, 09:47:23 PM
100bitcoin, FunCaptcha is something I haven't seen in a long time, and before it was a very popular captcha on most faucets. For what reason all users stopped using it, I do not know. It may have become an easy target for bots, or it may have become a paid service.

Yeah, it seems that FunCaptcha become paid service few years ago. There is some old topics like this one where people are complaining about it:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1343161.0
Though I have no idea how much it costs exactly and in recent years I haven't saw any websites using it.
Now I don't see big problems with ReCaptcha. Yeah, it can be annoying when you use TOR, but since we have captcha bypass option, I don't think it's big issue.
5723  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kim Jong Un’s rode a horse to send out a message to people. on: October 25, 2019, 11:18:52 PM

He's trying to copy Putin's macho personality but I don't think that figure would be considered a macho even for the north Korean standards.
Putin is first man who came to my head after I saw this. But for Kim it's still long road to reach level of Putin. He need to play piano, go hunting, play ice hockey, hunt, dive and etc. But it's enough to impress North Korean people, because they praise every action of Kim.
And so many dictators are trying to make mach image. It works well in their countries, but sometimes it looks ridiculous for use. Like Turkmenistan president rap: Cheesy
https://youtu.be/JsNioEnxeNs

LOL, but are you sure that his tweeter account with 600 followers is actually his? Because the account actually follows a couple of very other dangerous accounts lmao (Check its following list xD).
Obviously it's fake account. It's hard to imagine Kim using Western social network, posting in English and etc Cheesy. And this account is inactive BTW.
5724  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 39 Bodies found in a truck in southeast England on: October 25, 2019, 10:58:13 PM
It's not first time when such thing happens. Few years ago 71 dead  migrants were found in truck in Hungary:
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/28/more-than-70-dead-austria-migrant-truck-tragedy
It's strange that fridge was used to transport these people. Usually different type of truck trailers are used in such operations.
I read that driver was arrested, but there is big chance that he wasn't involved there. Often truck drivers have no clue what is inside their trailer, they only have documents with some basic information like destination, weight and etc. Sometimes they don't even have right to open trailer and look what is inside it.
5725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: October 25, 2019, 10:41:21 PM
Even though Manchester United is in a bad league without a dream it can still be achieved in the EUROPA league, now has 7 points and after winning the next match it will qualify for the next round, Solskjaer will chase the EUROPA league cup this season.
MU fans probably are dreaming about winning Europa league and reaching Champions league through, same like Mourinho did few years ago, cuz there is no chances to finnish in TOP 4 in EPL. But c'mon, they are struggling against teams like Partizan and Astana. If they continue to play like now, they will be eliminated by first more solid team in playoff round.
5726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 25, 2019, 08:57:50 PM
And Vardy finnishes game with hattrick - 0:9. Wow, wtf I just did saw, lol. RIP Southampton.
Easy money for me, win @2.35, unfortunately stake wasn't big and I didn't bet on goals over Cheesy.
5727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: October 25, 2019, 07:19:28 PM
Villarreal is Playing Alaves tonight. My prediction is that Villarreal is winning it 2:1(Santi Carzola to score or assist)
I am going to make a single bet of over 2.5 since the match has a history of goals... Wish me luck  Cheesy
I also made bet on Villarreal win because they are obviously better team than Alaves. And Villarreal is already leading after 15 minutes. Over 2.5 goals was a bit risky bet, but after early goal it's quite likely to happen.
5728  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk does not have official logo, right? It's a good time now to make one. on: October 24, 2019, 08:06:59 PM
I want to ask, where such logo would be used? As I understand we aren't talking about favicon. I hardly can imagine that theymos would put logo somewhere on the header of website. And I wouldn't want it, because I prefer minimalistic style. So, where else logo can be used. Only thing which comes to my head is news and social media. But don't understand me wrong, I'm not against having official Bitcointalk logo.
P.S. @iasenko, please bring back your old avatar! Maybe it looks creepy for some forum members, but I think you lost your identity without it Cheesy.
5729  Economy / Services / Re: I will pay $500 if you find a buyer on: October 24, 2019, 07:52:27 PM
IMO, I'm not sure that Bitcointalk is the best place to look for for sellers of such thing or for people who can persuade someone to buy it. I don't know what would be best place to post such offer, but I think you hardly will find potential buyers here. Anyway, good luck!
5730  Other / Meta / Re: [Achivement]Finally I am a self-made senior member! on: October 24, 2019, 07:33:37 PM
Congrats, you really deserved it! It's another proof that merit system works as intended because good posters have no problems to rank up, while spammers are struggling a lot. Offcourse, sometimes it's not fast proccess and it can took a while to rank up. But it's better later than never Cheesy.
I also need only few merits to become Sr. Member. And obviously I would like to become Legendary one day. Though these ranks don't make big difference for me, I think most of Bitcointalk members would like to achieve highest possible rank here.
5731  Other / Meta / Re: Can't delete my profile on: October 24, 2019, 07:16:19 PM
I'm sorry to tell, but you stuck here forever.
Or you can ask theymos to do that for you, but I have never seen him doing that for anyone.
There should very strong reason to ask deletion of account. OP also can ask to change to change his username to "Anonymous":
As you can see here, I only change the username to "Anonymous" on request.
But I haven't saw theymos doing it for years.
5732  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 24, 2019, 07:06:36 PM

Just a wild guess since I have no idea about the technical aspects in counting-systems: May it be that excluding specific boards are hard to implement to the automated counting performed through the Yobit-website?
It wouldn't be hard to implement. I've been in old Yobit campaign and I remember they didn't paid for posts made in Off-topic and local boards. So, it wouldn't bedifficult to implement, they only need to make some adjustments in their bot.
5733  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: October 23, 2019, 09:01:09 PM
tell me what's the point of waiting so much between a post when you have a limit of 10 post per day? you see the nosense here, burstposting should no be a valid reason for bunning someone
It doesn't matter that you think that burstposting is not valid reason to remove you from campaign. By joining Cryptotalk campaign you agreed to follow their rules to get paid. You break rules and you've been banned from campaign. Everything is simple and I don't know why you're complaining. If you can't follow few simple rules, better not to join signature campaigns.
5734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2019, 08:53:58 PM
Barca had very difficult game against Slavia, but managed to win. Slavia played very well. I'm following this team since previous season and I'm not that much surpised to see hoe they are playing and they are very solid opponent for big teams like Barca, Inter, Borussia. IMO, they deserved draw today, but second goal of Barca was mistake of their goalkeeper.
After Inter win situation in this group is very interesting.
Speaking about Salzburg - Zenit game, Sabitzer goal is must see thing!

I also will risk to bet on Valencia and Napoli wins. It's risky, but I see good value in these bets. Even I will win only one bet, it still would be good for me.
$$$
EDIT. F*ck, Lille just scored on additional time  Angry
5735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2019, 05:09:54 PM
Ajax - Chelsea, so far so good, it's very interesting game from first minutes. I picked draw in this game.
Other very interesting game will be Inter - Borussia. It's do or die game for Inter.
Will Barca will play against Slavia. Barca is playing good football lately, so with all respect to Slavia, I expect quite easy game.
I also will risk to bet on Valencia and Napoli wins. It's risky, but I see good value in these bets. Even I will win only one bet, it still would be good for me.
5736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About my first loss - This might help newcomers as a learning curve on: October 22, 2019, 09:03:26 PM
I think huge number of people in crypto world had experienced something similar. If it's not secret, can you tell us at how much you bought BTC? I wouldn't call as mistake that you didn't sold during peak. Selling at loss was mistake, it wasn't wise decision. Sometimes crypto requires lot of patience. HODL'ing can took few years to get profit. Seems that you invested into crypto without much knowledge about trading and just wanted to become rich quickly. This is not how everything works unfortunately.
5737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 22, 2019, 08:52:37 PM
Not the most interesting matchday - all favorites reached wins, most of them easy ones.
Spurs won 5:0 against Crvena Zvezda, maybe it's sign of their recovery.
Juve had problems with Lokomotiv, but looking at stats seems that they dominated tonight. Same can be said about Real.
Olympiakos - Bayern and Shakhtar - Dinamo games were interesting to watch and we saw many goals scored there.
5738  Other / Meta / Re: Some good users awakened by Yobit on: October 22, 2019, 08:17:31 PM
I see some good members in Cryptotalk campaign. But when there are so many spammers with Cryptotalk signature, these good members just become less visible. I noticed that sometimes I just skip posts written by Cryptotalk participants and no matter who exactly wrote it, I just have feeling that there won't be anything wortwhile to read.
I don't want to talk about these users, but more in general - if member was inactive before Cryptotalk campaign, probably it means that they are here just for money because they aren't motivated to post without paid signature. But hell, if they are good members of community and making contributions, I don't care about it.
5739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: October 21, 2019, 08:50:48 PM
In all Tuesday games there is obvious favorites on paper. But how about Spurs - Crvena Zvezda game? It's very difficult period for Spurs, they are playing terrible. Does anyone thinks that upset is possible there?
What are your thoughts about Dinamo chances against Shakhtar? I think that this match can show Dinamo if they can fight for the second with Shakhtar or only for the third place with Atalanta. Don't get me wrong, I think that any place which leads to more international games is great!
Shakhtar are obvious favorites, they will play at home and I don't see much chances for Dinamo to win. I think even draw wouldn't be bad score for Dinamo.
5740  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Warning ! Bittrex shutting down in 31 countries. Withdraw your funds. on: October 21, 2019, 07:29:28 PM
Bittrex is moving to Liechtenstein, so these news are probably related with it. They had to do it to follow regulations of country. Most of these countries is under sanctions and it's main reason of ban. And I think that these countries isn't very significant markets for Bittrex, so these bans won't hurt them much.
@Artemis3, I wouldn't call this as discrimination. It's just business without any emotions.
