5721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 26, 2022, 04:39:01 PM
Last time, there was a discussion about Mark Pingris going to be a player of MPBL IIRC. Now, he's not just a player for another league but higher than that and that's being a commissioner on the Pilipinas Super League. Isn't it a threat for the PBA with the launch of different leagues in our country? or they're supporting it and has no problems with it?

5722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 26, 2022, 12:00:02 PM
I don't think this is the best option right now. At the very least, the cryptocurrency market is clearly not in the best position right now.
It's the opposite actually, thus, OP has already decided to buy and he just did the right thing of buying whether it's bitcoin or ethereum. But he has chosen to buy bitcoin and that's a plus to him. The market has become good eventually and bitcoin has recovered and goes back to $38k as of typing this. That's a quick turnover coming from $33k and that made us think that it's going further and below $30k but so far, so good and it's starting to recover let's see where this is going to go and if it will break $40k.
5723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: January 26, 2022, 11:16:48 AM
Always take advantage in crashes as it is the best time to invest and make more profit in the future.
We can say that easily but many can't do that because of some things like; timing. The timing isn't perfect and most likely they don't have money left to buy during the crashes. It would always go set in our minds that we should buy but there are some events that are turning us and disables us. And to say that we can make a profit in the future, this is for real and proven. But when the tough times comes, not everyone will be able to hold what they have and starts to panic in no time.
most of them have gone All In in BTC, even when the decline has only occurred a little. maybe because of panic buy. when the price drops deeper then there is nothing to do except just waiting for the price to improve.
these kinds of people usually buy without good planning. they buy just because they see the trend in the market. when trends change and don't match expectations, then what happens is only disappointment.
It's different from those that I've described which are unable to buy. They're left with nothing and that's why they can't buy during the dip and even if they want to, it's not advisable to take a loan just to cover the dip and for them to be said that they've bought the dip.
Those people that have gone all-in for bitcoin, that's actually a good decision that they've made. But if they've bought without planning, I think that's still sort of good decision they've made since it's bitcoin that they've bought and not just some random altcoins that's being shilled to them.
5724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Diversifying Your Portfolio in Crypto on: January 26, 2022, 10:33:39 AM
Diversifying your crypto portfolio is a better option because it reduces your risk of bearing heavy losses. In a bear market, everything goes down, but if you have a diversified portfolio, then the ratio of your losses will be a lot lesser compared to having all your capital invested in a single crypto. Diversification is considered a great risk management strategy, and you must definitely implement it when trading cryptos.
What you've said is true but it also depends on the choices and the cryptos that you have in your portfolio. If you are mostly holding and diversified into altcoins that aren't so good and usually get into pump and dump, you're more prone to losses. But a portfolio that has bitcoin and ethereum, they're likely to survive more. They're the best balancer of portfolio and based on my experience, I'm satisfied that even if the bear comes and bitcoin and ethereum go down, they're able to recover so fast.
5725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CIFI COINS on: January 26, 2022, 10:09:20 AM
As per coinmarketcap data, it has a $150K daily trading volume and that can drop some more. But what's worrying is that it says that cmc hasn't verified the market capitalization of this coin.

I think it’s better to properly ask the CIFI team why they don’t pay the 70% reward for the bounty. M
It's said by OP that it won't do since the team will just give you a ban if you're going to ask things related to their bounty and token distribution. That's why it won't help you if there's already an experience that they're banning those that will ask them those questions which looks annoying to them.

5727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: www.CryptingUp.com - Cryptocurrency ranking by trading volume on: January 26, 2022, 01:51:26 AM
It would be nicer if you put them in rankings with their corresponding numbers on the left side just like the big companies has such as CMC. There's still a lot to improve and as I can see, the others don't have their total market cap on the side, while the others have.
I don't know what's the problem with that but basically, most of those that don't have their market caps should have it. And if someone looks at it using other websites of the same function, they'll see that info. So, it means that there's a lack of data on your website that you need to work on.
5728  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: January 26, 2022, 01:08:35 AM
5729  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: January 26, 2022, 12:19:16 AM
5730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: January 25, 2022, 11:51:01 PM
I think they're ready for it. Bukele has been buying every time the market drops and that signifies that they're pursuant to what they're doing for bitcoin and which they've adopted as a legal tender. AFAIK, IMF is a bitcoin supporter and that's from the articles that I've read years ago, maybe 2-4 years ago and now that they're questioning El Salvador to remove what they've decided to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, isn't it that this is just a FUD and they want to give panic to the people so that everyone's going to sell and pull the prices down?

IMF supports bitcoin and crypto for its utility.. but some IMF departments are the loan officers who are tasked to make sure countries repay their SDR debts. and its this loan office department that fears el-salvador trying to get its sovereignty back.

a lesson the IMF should do. is not want to peg/tie itself just to SDR(dollar) and instead have several vessels of reserve.
EG 'amero' 'brics' 'crypto'
where it can happily take in 3 designated currencies

EG
a commercial bank that only handles dollar, limits itself to a customer base of 320million people. yet a commercial bank that handles multiple international currencies has a potential customer base of near 8 billion.
so far the IMF is small minded trying to exagerate the dollars power/influence by trying to get all countries around the world to be tied to the dollar. even when in the real world only 5% of the world uses dollar daily
They are a huge organization that relies on dollars and so that's the reason why they're putting their trust in it instead of letting El Salvador do its thing alone, they want to intervene as it seems doesn't look for them. What's the matter if a country wants to adopt it as a legal tender and they actually have passed it and went through a process and made a bill for it. I think this is one of the reasons why many countries don't like to stand with these international orgs because they are trying to interfere with anything with almost everything.
5731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC will make Bitcoin MORE valuable on: January 25, 2022, 11:12:56 PM
It'll work just like the stable coins that usually gets to help the pumping for bitcoin. We can't stop these CBDCs since it is the government that will push its use through their mandatory ruling. But OP is right that due to the censorship that it's going to provide and to make it easier to understand, the centralization that it will commit once they're already running. Not everyone is going to like it, there will be more people that would like to stay private and anonymous and with that choice, they'll be ending up still straight to bitcoin.

5733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling In Crypto on: January 25, 2022, 10:05:03 PM
I see so many users keep mentioning crypto casino is anonymous and don't need KYC, while the fact almost crypto casino is centralized and will ask KYC if there's a problem (some casino even ask KYC while sign up).
It's true, that some may ask when you're about to withdraw but usually, they only do that if they find suspicious on your account's activity. But those reputable crypto casinos, won't be asking it the first time until you withdraw massively or they've found you abusing their system.
Fiat casinos are going to ask for this since they're registered somewhere and maybe locally, you have to provide them details. And with crypto casinos, it's a special case if ever they ask for it.

Akala ko yung custom parang level 4 and above yun pala pwede nilang i-custom kahit level 2.
5735  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: January 25, 2022, 04:23:56 AM

Need talaga ng one time big time update although imposible naman irelease iyon since may timeline at roadmap na sinusunod.

5736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can I control my gambling addiction ?? on: January 24, 2022, 09:23:17 PM
Seek professional help, more of a life coach or psychologist. Since you can't stop yourself anymore and you lose control already, you should tell your immediate relatives. If you can't go find seek help from a professional, you should tell your family as they're the first ones to help you deal with and overcome this addiction that you're experiencing. It is obvious that you cannot help yourself anymore because you've proven yourself. It's a severe addiction and I'm sure that you cannot overcome this alone and that's why you need those factors that I've said to help you.
5737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 24, 2022, 08:48:50 PM

We're slow in dealing with it and that's why the index made by Bloomberg ranks us the last but we eventually got up 3 positions AFAIK. I guess can't blame the PBA management for having tough times whenever there's a new alert that's being implemented. It's also due to the IATFs way of dealing with this pandemic and I guess we need to step up just like the other countries. It's not all about our health care system or they're advanced but it's about acceptance that we have to deal and live with this virus just as the other diseases.

The more to accept that we need to live with this virus, the better chances that we can push further. It's not just the government or the WHO, but everyone needs to do their share in fighting and preventing this virus. No doubt that PBA is doing their job observing how they can proceed with this current season. It's business, but they also need to think about people's health securities and by following what the IATF recommendation.

The game will proceed, we are waiting for announcement and soon it will resume back.  Roll Eyes Wink
I think of the PBA management as sluggish as they don't see this coming. Well, but next time they come back which is in February, I guess that they already have an alternative plan if ever there would be some restrictions tightened again by the government.
They should be proactive in making decisions and not that going to start planning when the unforeseen has come. I'm not an expert but I just see them too slow but it's understandable although one word for is that they were unprepared.
5738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 23, 2022, 09:55:57 PM
I also see this connection just like what they did last December, well let’s see if this is correct and this is actually good for PBA so they can finally finish the season and start a new one. We know how politics works in our country, they will surely slowly loosen the restriction again especially now that many are already vaccinated.
Yeah, the perfect example was December. I've been through many checkpoints that doesn't have people on duty.

Yes, while in other countries where they are not implementing restriction, us, we are still dealing with it. Not sure why the government is unable to imitate that same procedures or they are tied because of the many unvaccinated people who can spread the virus still, we are in the position where we can only do is to wait.

PBA will resume though, even there's restriction they are still alternative plan to proceed.

We just waiting for the announcement to clear these things out from the PBA board.

I was also about to type what's the connection of the upcoming election between the cases we're now experiencing. Lol Grin
It's because the politicians are going to loosen some restrictions just to get the vote of everyone. It's not new anymore and everybody is expecting that to happen because they all want the votes going to them. We're already too late with the restrictions and we have to live with it actually. While the other countries are dealing and living with it without any restrictions but there's still the minimum health protocol and usage of the mask, here we are still having the hard times.
5740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your thoughts about online casino vs.physical casino on: January 23, 2022, 10:52:09 AM
Have you ever played online casino?
Most of us here did.

Is the experience similar to playing physically in casino?Which do you prefer?
The experience is totally different, you get the point of playing physically and online. I prefer to stay online and I just have to save my energy I'm pretty safe gambling online without any threat of being infected by the covid-19. People may be vaccinated against the virus but no one is exempted from containing it despite being vaccinated, fully or 1 dose.
