That's how every credit card has worked that I've came across
Sure, but that not how bitcointalk lending works. If you dont have any collateral to offer and you are a newbie coming with zero trustworthy reputation, no previous trades done then you have exactly zero chance of getting a loan here.

If you are in need of money at this state go for the credit card option. No one is stopping you from doing that. Why even bother posting here?
5722  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP frozen my 10 btc and asking years worth of signed address transactions on: October 10, 2019, 06:59:10 AM
No, this is normal for bitstamp, they have been asking similar questions for >5 years now. Other exchanges are catching up with their intrusiveness. It's better to take your time to find a trustworthy person to make an exchange in-person.
I would be extremely uncomfortable with having to deal with a person face to face but its better with a P2P exchange like LBC.

I always feel it to be better if governments would allow trading in crypto and that country people use an exchange where they can verify themselves to buy and sell. As for the OP this is not important but I see your point here. The more the governments try to supress crypto the more AML/KYC problems will arise because of non-compliance from public.
5723  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: An appeal to all my fellow Cryptotalk signature campaign participants! on: October 09, 2019, 10:32:55 AM
OP you write a nice post with good tips. but I also think that any of 211 banned users or users with same post rating will read, understand and accept advice from such a long post. the only thing they understand is the manager's ban hammer but then is too late.
they just won't accept any advice, they just think they make a few bucks. you tried, but I don't think it will have any effect to "critical" users.

As long as the smell of "free money" is there yoshit and its associates will be using this forum to prepare nuptial rites and make it a breeding ground for spammers. Are you not horrified seeing all the negative trusted accounts bustling in to join this campaign for the last 2weeks?

We should actively report any post that comes to our notice which goes offtopic or low quality post. Getting their posts removed would deter their post quota and increase their chances of getting banned. Its actually a good thing if some negged trolls get banned.

They will make new account but the merits system will block them from ranking up too soon.
5724  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BITSTAMP frozen my 10 btc and asking years worth of signed address transactions on: October 09, 2019, 10:11:14 AM
Are those coins really from FJ casino or did you hide the details here about tainted source coins that you had be dealing with and used FJ as a "mixing" mode or a transit wallet to cover up your tracks? Most of the newbies posting such threads, I would not trust without having head both sides of the story. Bitstamp has been here for long time and them asking KYC with such strict details does make me wonder what juicy information they have obtained on the coins.

You may try to present a story in your way of describing but this is what I suspect has happened.
5725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 09, 2019, 10:03:44 AM
I thought Cryptocmarketads will be honest in dealing with their members I was wrong they even ask people in the bounty campaign about their project, it turned out they cannot be trusted at all, if even I will go back to bounty hunting I will now prefer payment direct to smart contract let us not support project that only misled bounty hunters.
Most projects mislead the hunters, its not like 2017 ICO buzz on the top of the world scenario but a sluggish sector for earning. If you are going to go back to bounties then be sure to get paid with tokens that will be worthless but will seem pretty nice and high rising to you when you first receive them. The projects dont even have any basis of market making and their demand for the product will be low since crypto based ventures never attract that much attention from big investors than the traditional IPO market.

So promoting them is basically a waste of time whether you like it or not.
5726  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange coin 'pooling' on: October 08, 2019, 01:03:55 PM
My coins have always come from localbitcoins, and I've never used the darkweb myself. My concern is that some of the coins I purchase from localbitcoins may have been used by individuals on the darkweb and are now tainted.
So you are concerned about whom? The authorities? If you are not a large-cap trader you wont be under their crosshairs. But it is better to use a mixer in these cases to remove the taint on your coins. However you should note that doing mixing and thinking that your coins are completely off trace is also wrong. With proper blockchain forensics they can be found out about their source.

Now this is a problem with P2P trades done. But a trader with a good score on LBC will probably not be trading in tainted coins. But you never know. There was the incident of escrow.msa and he was jailed for his wrong doings or cloning credit cards.
5727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think Voodoo works in Gambling Games? on: October 08, 2019, 09:19:41 AM
A few months or a year back there was a thread on superstitions and gambling and then there was a fortunetelling and gambling.

I laugh at these threads because I feel amused by the amount of effort these people go on into thinking that gambling outcomes can be known from beforehand. If it was so then casinos would never exist and speculative market trading would not be a risky thing to do. Heck you would even tell every accident that would happen to you and you would never die. Does that sound illogical? Of course it is illogical.

But these people who have lost money have been in such states of mind that even magical thinking makes sense to them.
5728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How many crypto exchanges are really required? on: October 08, 2019, 09:16:04 AM
It definitley not needed, new exchnages are much cheaper to list in this is why new projects chose them. But we know the drawbacks of this situation, the tokens on low liquidity exchnages are trashed and very fast lose their value, often to 99%. I am amazed how many new exchnages are getting made in this market.
Dont be amazed, its normal. We have a good supply demand ratio here. There are projects, or so shit-projects that want to list their token because of public demands and so their go for the least viable option using the least possible fees because they want their token to get some publicicty before they run away with their shares sold off - right? Grin

Again there are bounty hunters who are brain dead shills ready to dump their "million dollar" value tokens = pure shit. So they sign up and load their wallets there. End of the day the selling pressure is so huge that nobody buys the coins and the bounty hunters keep on crying while the advisors and devs quietly sell of their coins to other sources and exit the scene.

This cycle continues with every new shitcoin and the idiots never learn their lesson. Grin
5729  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange coin 'pooling' on: October 08, 2019, 09:11:50 AM
Diolch! It's as I suspected then, it works similarly to a tumbling service.
This is a wrong conclusion. You should not consider then as tumbling service nor use them as a substitute for a mixer. The coins do get pooled and the exchange will draw coins from the pool when someone asks for a withdrawal or add coins to the pool when another person deposits. But this does not change or affect the taint in the coins if already present. Some people have tried to use exchanges as modes of money laundering and got KYC-blocked on their accounts, which followed all these AML/KYC regulations on exchanges nowadays.

Still if your objective is to mix the coins then done use exchanges for this purpose.
5730  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Proof of the origin of the BTC on: October 08, 2019, 09:08:08 AM
Going with the flow of suggestions, you could say that someone gave it to you as a gift to start adopting this new mode of payment. If they get too cocky get some close friend to do a video proof that they sent you the money.

About campaign payments you could show them the links to the spreadsheets and further link that with the transaction ids of the days you received payments. A bit hectic I know, but if the exchange officials are compliant enough with their procedures they should be ok.

The only problem here would be funds received from gambling sites and other exchanges. Its tough to prove their origin and possible legal problems with gambling from where OSS lives. Undecided
5731  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is ECOS mining a Scam?... on: October 08, 2019, 09:01:37 AM
ECOS mining may have a nice support system with someone replying their thread regularly but that does not make their credibility high. You dont know who is operating them and their team members wont ever show up their real faces. If you think that the pictures shown on their site are legit then you are mistaken because they are fake.

Every cloud mining scheme is like this, you need to understand this. There is no way to mine profitably without having a large setup with a number of ASICs and also the equipment for cooling and maintenance. These are better done at your own place thna trusting someone with your money. Buy their contract to only enter a ponzi/HYIP and get scammed one fine morning.
5732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: October 07, 2019, 06:11:40 AM
No one in the right mind will bet even they knew that the chance of losing is higher than winning.
Betting against the majority does not mean that the chance of losing is high. You may have received a tip from the bookie about the outcome who is your friend.

Gamblers play not only for fun but also to earn from this activities.
It would be wrong to assume so. Its a mix of both if you ask a general unbaised opinion, which is hard to get in today's world. But earning mostly is for professional gamblers who dont really play anymore but act for the casino to be promoted.

The mindsets is to take the opportunities to win and not just to play nand support the team that they've love, though in some chances there's people who also wanted to the risk expecting to receive high rewards when luck permits them, but that's small portions.
Some sports lovers do play like that and they bet for fun on a table of wine and good food. Grin

But thats not all of it you know. There will be one of two in that group getting a rush everytime to goal is made or a player gets a card.
5733  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: innovative idea on: October 07, 2019, 06:04:58 AM
I recently came up with a great idea about developing an innovatif blockchain project and I'm looking for a team that may want to get in with me into this awesome and revolutionary project to come out with a full working product.
Yup you recent came up with a brainstorming idea that is going to change this world, take care of all the debt, poverty and destruction and turn this world into heaven. Sounds promising if not dreaming for sure. Grin

Same old shit that every ICO/IEO/STO/ITO/<insert witty Initial Blah blah blah Offering here> tells and a random bunch of newbies come in with some hundred dollars each to invest in someone else's scam.

It would be much more professional if you post about the project and not a vague description. It makes you look like a joker if you post your TG handle here and begging for people to contact you first.

Whats your budget anyway? And dont give that uber-haughty "will be discussed in PM reply"
5734  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin p2p lending software on: October 07, 2019, 06:00:54 AM
I m looking a p2p lending script .
Similar to nexo
I am wondering what your objective to this is. Are you trying to set up a p2p marketplace where lenders and borrowers can sign up and fill each other with an analogy to localbitcoins? Similar to btcpop, as far as I can remember about such services.

A script for this you would have to develop on your own or hire a developer who has worked on similar projects. But it can be tough getting such contact here since we have wannabes who will PM you bullshit offers. You might be able to get someone worthy on freelancing sites or personal contacts.

If you are going to give out loans to borrowers yourself, consider starting a thread in Lending like the other established lenders of this forum have. Its risky but its fun at the same time if you know how to manage your money and risk.
5735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Different type of altcoins have their season which attract scammers be watchful on: October 07, 2019, 05:56:17 AM
Scammers don’t care about season they only care about how much money they can make out of their victims and they don’t choose victims big or small. Even during this bearish period they can still squeeze money, protect your hard earned precious crypto and don’t exchange it to shillcoins and shitcoins.
So dont you think we should promote the use of bitcoin more and more and shun the use of shitcoins? There is really no reason to think of altcoins as a saving grace during bitcoin network congestion or short term yields. Use some of the more established altcoins is you are in dire need of transacting or pay a higher fee on bitcoin.

Then about short term gains - those are false hopes and promises given by shills dumping their own coins. Its not new to find bagholders crying in real life while acting like lion on social media to shill their worthless coins. They are not scammer though. The proper term is manipulator and shill as a more colloquial term.

5737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: October 06, 2019, 01:03:32 PM
Yes. I do it for my favorite team. I'm not making or losing a fortune with sports betting so I bet the way I want.
That is the wrong thing to do. I dont understand if you are posting this for the sake of posting, because if someone would take your words for granted they would likely go to the wrong methods of gambling which is relying on emotions. If you bet on your favorite team then you will lose at least 50% of the time - just like a random coin toss. Its not the best team and neither would they remain the best. Many small matches are also fixed to trap people like you, where the win or loss would not matter but the gamblers will lose because the underdog will win.

All these things need to be kept in mind, sports betting is not so easy. Cool
5738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 06, 2019, 01:00:48 PM
If you are going to waste your time doing bounties then go ahead waste it. Stop complaining about such projects. If you have grounds for accusing them of fraud then do so, but this does not seem to be such. If you were living on bounty earnings its about time you realize that its not profitable anymore and so boycott all altcoin tokens from being promoted. If you all stop this nonsense then project owners will also not be able to market it via bounty promotions and thus they will be forced to pay in better methods like bitcoin or established altcoins like Ethereum.

My idea may seem longshot for you, and it is not feasible to stop all bounties in this forum. But at least it something you all should realize.
5739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchange platform are why ieos have gone quiet on: October 06, 2019, 08:27:37 AM
Serious investors dont use crypto to invest unless they are investing after being advised about the project. Where ever there is investment from venture capitalists there will be at lot of investigation from the capital owners. You think whatever initial coin blah blah blah is going to attract investors, No.

The project team and MVP is what is important. 99% of these projects are a waste of time and money so stop investing  in them. Its rare to find anything good to invest in except bitcoin which is the one and only thing that should be any crypto enthusiasts focus.

Got delayed on withdrawal today...such a weekend... Cry Cry
Not sure if you all read the replies made in this thread, because if you would then you would notice that other players like you have stated that FJ is understaffed on weekends. Since they have the policy of checking every withdraw manually, it gets delayed. Wait till Monday midday, but if it still gets delayed contact FJ staff here.
