5721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 06, 2021, 11:50:21 AM
Lol,
Not shortening posts. They might get longer.

These are DeFi because they will be used in the Token ecosystem to support DeFi, and DeFi will go back into this. Plus, DeFi is getting into earnings.

POL Token, TRX, etc, it is mostly about earning Tokens, etc. TRC20 and ERC20 are the center of DeFi. So what has to come next now is real world use, not just Crypto exchanges.

Phew! Thank you for the super long but thorough information, I guess I don't mind the length of these posts for as long as there are thoughtful explanations;)

I still don't really see these things are more DeFi than Bitcoin (the true decentralized finance implementation to me) but okay, I get it, if DeFi in this case just means getting into earnings then fine, but as you yourself point out, what comes next is REAL world use (again why I say Bitcoin is the true implementation) not just people doing things on pancake and uni.
5722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: April 06, 2021, 11:06:56 AM
Natalim my friend, you are being mistaken with the old days but now the trend is being set by new market makers, institutions who have snatched away everything out of the hands of retailers. The sales are taking place because retailers are unloading their btc but the institutions are so hungry they are eating all the bites they get from retailers. It is not going to be bearish any sooner.

New market makers indeed I see are the ones just tearing up the space. When we see them become safer to use though, is when they will truly be powerful. Right now people say it's ease of use and gas fees but I believe a lot of people like me are staying away from it because we fear the poor security in most of the contracts:)
5723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best websites for finding ICO on: April 06, 2021, 09:51:24 AM
Absolutely agree. Regular ICO are dead in its mass already. Those projects who run public ICOs, either are scam, or fight for their live while trying to get at least softcap. Big projects usually raise all the funds their need from early or private investors and there is never a place during sales for a regular guy. As well as the minimum amount to invest in a project is far beyond what regular investors plan to invest.

Or they already have private funding and just want to test the waters to see if there would be any retail interest (but who wants to buy tokens at full price knowing private people had 50% discounts, right?). Even all those pooled investment companies now see very few interest from retail. IDO is the way now but even that won't last long.
5724  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low could the next bear market move bitcoin? on: April 06, 2021, 09:16:30 AM
I'm really hoping the market doesn't rally at the top right now, I really really want this to be slower and reach the top in earliest 5 or 6 months. I am kind of enjoying this as I didn't really enjoy 2017 and would just want a few more months of this. Right guys? October is the earliest I'd want the top to come. But I hope 2022 is when it happens. Too hopeful?
5725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 06, 2021, 07:54:54 AM
Let me ask you a question (and it's a question for all other members), how many gold holders you know?
I don't have gold, so I don't have what to sell... but I would sell that gold a long time ago for buying Bitcoin or some other crypto, and I guess many people here would do the same (some did it I guess). Here on forum, we are a special kind of people, we found a way (ways) to earn, and because of that we don't sell our material possessions for crypto (gold, cars, houses...)... but again we have some examples from people who did that, and they maximized their profits in crypto to the roof!
Everything comes down to what you believe in more... I am for crypto 100%, and I assume many others here feel the same! So if some gold appears I will sell it right away, without a second thought!

Personally, I only know of my own aunties and grandaunties who all hold physical gold. They literally go out every few years to buy a small amount of gold to stash. But online, I know of many more people who apparently buy physical gold online because they got wealthy from crypto. So these are actually, as I said, crypto users who became rich, and then bought some gold to diversify their wealth. Like I said, I don't know anyone who sold gold for crypto.
5726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ballet CEO Bobby Lee Announces New Book on: April 06, 2021, 07:22:29 AM
Did a quick look up on him actually and had no idea that he is the brother of Charlie Lee Litecoin founder, who I used to really follow a lot not because he was an influencer or anything like that but because he had as MK says a half decent brain which I guess both brothers seem to have in common:)

Read about the ballet crypto wallet and hmm yes, it really doesn't sound safe. Even they admit on the website it could have possibility of rogue employee finding out about the private keys though!
5727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction on: April 06, 2021, 05:45:33 AM
I think Dogecoin will explode again in 2022 and is not only used as a tip like before, but can actually be used for payments on a large scale,
Dogecoin may start trading at $ 5.5 during 2022. If DOGE manages to catch marketers' attention it could go up to $7. It might end 2022 at a trading price of $ 12.
I really hope that it can happening, let's hope and wait until it happen.

Nah, it's still used as tips even today the same as I have seen for the past four years in gambling areas. Casinos are always where you see DOGE tipped and rained. As much as I love it, have yet to see anyone actually ask for payment in DOGE (except in casinos as usual).

$12 per coin in 2022? I wouldn't mind but let's not get carried away:)
5728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 06, 2021, 05:09:51 AM
Wasn't able to watch the game last night so am super thankful to wake up and read the news to see we managed that super slim win. And stats show it wasn't a walk in the park either. 3 points after 90 minutes of frustration, so this was a huge huge win for us. Only 3 points separate the top 3 from each other and now no team has any game in hand. Incredible!
5729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anybody here sell their Gold to buy Bitcoin? on: April 05, 2021, 04:02:31 PM
Hey and welcome to Bitcoin! I actually have never really heard of anyone going from gold to crypto, usually it's the other way around. Not that anyone puts ALL their crypto into gold but I know a lot of crypto people who also further diversify into precious metals with their newfound crypto riches:) Welcome again!
5730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best websites for finding ICO on: April 05, 2021, 02:38:20 PM
^ But with all the IDOs now coming up and ICOs now raising almost nothing I don't think even it's worth looking at ICOs any more.

All the different new DEXes are the ones to go for. Sushi or Uni especially is where all the new token projects are launching their stuff as liquidity pools that you simply swap from to get their tokens:)
5731  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: April 05, 2021, 02:01:32 PM
I experienced these feelings on multiple occasions and I solved these issues by limiting my bankroll effectively. This helps me invest only what I am willing to lose and I suggest restricting yourself in this manner.

Another technique which also helps me tackle these issues and minimize my losses is utilising low investment positive progressive strategies.

IT really is the only way to do this! I never ever ever deposit anything more than I know I can afford to lose. Not for crypto anyway. I made the mistake many times before with fiat casinos where you can use credit card (so dangerous because the interest piles up).

Which is why I love crypto. To get it and deposit more you have to BUY more first and that extra step helps me to stop:)
5732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: April 05, 2021, 12:36:48 PM
ETH just touched ATH on the weekend and people are again asking each other if it's over. Bitcoin is still less than 5% away from ATH. Fiat is still being printed every day and expanding in supply. Inflation is still rising every single day.

It can't be over yet. And when it is over, it'll pick up the pieces and gather again for the next.
5733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 05, 2021, 12:00:56 PM
So the dream looks like it's coming now with less than 10 games for most of the teams. A three horse race with only La Liga to fight for for one, and Champions League distraction for another, and a first crown in a long time for the current leader.

Barca knows this is our next must win game but every match from here on now is a final! So exciting:)
5734  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: 5 Best Bitcoin Wallets for Android on: April 05, 2021, 10:35:32 AM
I don't like different compilations of the best wallets. Sometimes most popular and overrated wallets get status of "the best app", while new wallets are called nonames.
I use Ownr and Samourai, not sure they are the best.

Never heard of Ownr but I agree, best rated apps are seldom the best. I personally think Electrum is the best out there for all rounder while being open source and also non custodial but I have to admit their Android app pretty much is really bad and I'd never recommend it.

Samourai is a bit top end and too complicated for regular users.
5735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 05, 2021, 10:03:07 AM
Think you should start shortening the posts because I had to scroll way down to find the new reply...

Truancy Token as an example of an Access Credit, this would be done with a School or Corporate Office, and it would work like Vacation Benefits where the person earns rewards for appearing at work or school, and they then can use those to access Graduation or Promotion, and they can also go on an exchange to be sold, or technically if the Company wants they could be bought and traded for rank. But in the school model they would be a reward that could then maybe be traded in to the school for prizes, for example it could be a booster club currency.

Pretty crazy to think of the projects all coming up but I see projects like these as all regular crypto use cases, NOT Defi?

I mean what's the financial product or service aspect of this Truancy token? It's not a network or service per se, just another tokenized version of something else.

And it's not a great use case I'd say plus it's a very bad choice for a name. Truancy is the opposite of attendance and you shouldn't get recognition for attendance in financial terms IMO.
5736  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: April 05, 2021, 08:35:16 AM
For determining winners, some mathematical calculations are done.
In the case the picked user has won one of previous prizes, calculations are done again.

I've only just thought of the question now, don't know why I never thought about it before:) If I was already drawn as a winner are all my other tickets disqualified or are they still in the running for the next prize and then calculations redone if a winner's tickets are drawn again?

Just asking because, if I won 10th prize, but was drawn again for 1st prize. Do I win the bigger prize or am I disqualified for that?

In fact... are all prizes drawn at the same time? And if multiple winning entries, do we get the bigger one?

Curious now:)
5737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am writing an article on how to stop bitcoin. Can you guy help out? on: April 05, 2021, 08:03:28 AM

Wall Street hand to manipulate markets
JPMorgan talking bad now entering
Coinbase ipo
Etfs
Institutional long and short
Bitmex guy under investigation

Bitmex is not Wallstreet. Coinbase also is not Wall Street. ETFs mainly is not even real Bitcoin just cash settled mainly and majority of it will not even touch BTC markets, so I think a lot of these here aren't even related. Institutional long shorts maybe want to manipulate markets but this has nothing to do with STOPPING Bitcoin?
5738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price predictions based on actual data / mathematics on: April 05, 2021, 06:48:25 AM
I don't know the answers to these questions but it seems one day at least the buyers will have to run out and btc drops massively maybe to 0.

Food for thought.
You say based on actual data/mathematic, I just say this is a stupid statement based on a newbie in cryptocurrency..

How many people that already know about bitcoin?? Still, a lot of people don't know, what will happen if all people around the world know it?? Then they withdraw all their money from the bank go to Bitcoin??

So, learn about Bitcoin before make a stupid statement "will drop massively maybe to 0".. lol

The "actual" and "data/methematics" kind of gave it away in the title to be honest! I think anyone who opens an argument with saying they are using actual things are actually doing the opposite;)

Data-based technical analysis is usually good enough for me. I won't believe it but I find it much more interesting than all these other supposed hypothesis based "actually" on opinion;)
5739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is why you DON'T want go short now 84% of the bearish options has wiped out on: April 04, 2021, 03:43:12 PM
Once the market jumped high those people will surely regret shorting the market.

It's tough to anticipate so better to aim for long term investment, whatever happened you'll not going to panic as you set your
goals for long term and you are willing to wait till it achieved your target value. Most of the time it's up to how you understand
the market and how willing you are holding and waiting for the right time.

Can't agree more. We just have to accept that for most of us, we'll never have enough time or expertise to do this the way it deserves. Which makes hodling simply the best option there is out there. I bet you, most traders will regret wasting all that time trading when they could have made much more just buying and holding (and actually going out and earn with a real job).
5740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fake app in apple app store stole his life savings in bitcoin on: April 04, 2021, 03:08:35 PM
Nothing new this is why we have Scam Accusations boards and more to keep awareness to the other member also to the people about the fake application this is the reason why other people give a bad image to the bitcoin or in other coins because of that application which is not a legit or reliable only thing they do is to scam mostly the beginners. To make sure it's safe it's better to research the application and double-check if this is the legit one else report immediately so google or another app store will remove this app. Also, check the developer if the same as the original. AFAIK Apple has better application security than the other brands because they focus on the security for their users.

No, Scam accusations is for the forum strictly. To warn people of services and people who you can't tell could be scammers.

Fake apps? Fake websites? You just have to do your own protections. Bookmark correct websites. Use a password manager so you never need to enter passwords on fake websites. And apps. The worst of it all. Download only verified apps.
