5741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Make Bitcoin 'QUANTUM PROOF'! on: December 02, 2019, 02:07:20 AM
Well they have to break up Bitcoin's 256-bit ECDSA before Bitcoin developers mitigate the risk and upgrade it to make quantum resistant.

I'm not expert in this field, but I would advise everyone to read this thread, I don't believe Quantum Computing will ever threaten Bitcoin.
5742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a question on: December 02, 2019, 12:42:02 AM
Can someone pls answer this question? presently the problem of decentralized exchange is liquidity and enough volume, if people start leaving cex for dex will the volume increase ? if Yes then what is stopping people? because dex exchanges is the perfect answer to stolen fund on exchanges and exchange scam exits

Obviously it will increase if traders started to move to DEX.

Well because we have this notion that CEX is safe for trading that's why it is still the preferred choice of most traders, specially if you're a newbie, you will start your journey with CEX like Binance and the rest of the top tier exchanges.

As for the stolen funds, it's really hard to cope with that as hackers are everywhere. And we have the old adage, not your keys not your coins, so better not put all your funds in an exchanges.

Bad news?

Evacuations in Philippines as typhoon cancels SEA Games event

The Philippines has begun evacuating thousands of people, local officials said Sunday, as a powerful typhoon rumbling in from the Pacific forced Southeast Asian Games organisers to cancel or reschedule some events.

The storm entered Philippine territory Saturday evening, shortly before President Rodrigo Duterte and boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao launched the Games with a colourful opening ceremony.

Forecasters expect Typhoon Kammuri to make landfall Monday evening or Tuesday morning, packing gusts of 170 kilometres (105 miles) per hour and maximum sustained winds of 140 kph.

https://ph.yahoo.com/news/evacuations-philippines-typhoon-cancels-sea-games-event-080008266.html

I just hope though that everyone in the Philippines will be safe, not just the athletes. I know it's a bummer that some of the games will be cancelled because of the storm, but safety first.
5744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Tete vs Casimero on Nov 30 on: December 01, 2019, 11:55:31 PM
Damn, Casimero really proved himself with a statement win against the much formidable and favourite Tete. That hit to the temple much be really hard that Tete was really out and can't recover. Casimero should go out and fight in the US as @Finestream have said.

He should be exposed to the US audience so that he can get good paycheck as well. I mean he has been traveling around the world, but we all know that the mecca of boxing is in the US so MP should put him in US soil for his next fight.
5745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arrgh! Libra here and There on: November 29, 2019, 12:52:35 PM
It's annoying but what can we do, the company behind Libra is the giant in social media so expect that people in crypto are going to talk about it until they got their product release next year or whatever date they wanted.

Again, crypto is a free market, as much as we have BCH or BSV or XRP or CSW, we can't really stop then here. So everyone should grow a thick skin here if you wanted to stay in the crypto market.
5746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption of crypto on: November 29, 2019, 12:27:19 PM
I believe the mass adoption of crypto (I say crypto and not Bitcoin) will occur when there are central banks in the final 3 countries who are resisting.  The 3 countries are Syria, Iran and North Korea.  Iraq and Libya also did not have a central bank however they have now "seen the light".  I believe war and sabotage will rage in the reaming 3 countries until they finally fall and a central bank is ushered in.

Those three countries are authoritative regime and I don't that it will suddenly change in the next five years.

I do believe there will be a privacy coin that will be able to be used such as Monero.  The government black op agencies will need to launder the money some how and a rogue privacy coin will most likely accomplish that.  Hopefully we can hide among them using this currency.

Monero has been delisted by some major exchanges, so criminals still prefer bitcoin, sad to say.

Well the plot is still ongoing up to this time but I believed that bitcoin has shown how resilient and even though there are 'evil plot' as you describe it, they won't succeed.
5747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 29, 2019, 02:46:38 AM
Guys check this out! Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone to headline UFC 246

Oh boy! This will be an interesting fight! Both are MMA superstars so I'm not sure where the majority will favor Cheesy. In my opinion, many will still bet for McGregor because of his charisma to the crowd however the smart bettors out there might refused because they knew that McGregor loss to Khabib and facing lots of controversies lately in which can degrade his mental health thus greatly affecting his training and fighting mindset. Let's be honest, McGregor was just so overrated Grin. My vote? I'll go with Cowboy.

Of course, There are still lot of Conor fanboys around, so I guess he will be the favorite here. Cowboy is no push over and I would like to see how Conor are going to market this fight.

This is going to be an epic fight, let's see the odds, but I wanted to see Conor lose again, Lol.
5748  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum prices may never again reach 1000$, says analyst on: November 29, 2019, 02:12:52 AM
I do believed that Ethereum ca still get to 4 digits as long as ETH 2.0 will deliver what it has promised.

Of course, there's the block halving that can really affect the price of altcoin specially ETH. So to say that it may never reach $1000 in the future is not true, in my opinion.

It's just struggling today, but in the next 6 months to one year we can go back in this thread and says' that they are all wrong with Ethereum.
5749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Sees Big Future for Bitcoin in Africa on: November 29, 2019, 01:31:16 AM
It's pretty obvious that Africa is a big market, for bitcoin and crypto in general and that's why Jack has doing several rounds of travel in Africa to promote crypto. I guess for us enthusiast this is a good move for him. And just imagine in 5 years what would crypto bring in that continent, perhaps it could be the catalyst for a huge bull run that everyone is expecting after the block halving and beyond.
5750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The ridiculous projects of this year on: November 27, 2019, 01:29:56 PM
If you go on the altcoin announcement section. You will see bunch of ridiculous project there, No need to pin point some project because the majority of the project during
2019 is all scam or composed of non-technical person about cryptocurrency. I believe they are ponzi owners or group of newbie crypto currency investor that
want to take advantage on ICO which is not effective now.

Pretty much this, I mean there are a lot of failures and scam ICO's this year alone so it's hard to pinpoint or single out someone. This bear market really exposes them but the thing is that those ICO are not going to stop because they know that someone gullible is going to invest and be suckered into their project, so it's still a win-win situation for them.
5751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 27, 2019, 01:09:16 PM
Today LA Clippers defeated Mavericks at the American Airlines Center. and the game went exciting to me. Kawhi x P. George played very well. unfortunately, Luka Doncic is like playing alone there, I think he needs a partner who has at least the same skills as him  Undecided

I guess Clippers wanted to proved something here, and Kahwi and Paul George did the most damaged and obviously Luca can't match those two superstars. Although Luca is playing high basketball today, Clippers doesn't want to be the victim of Luca Magic and demolished the Mavericks.

Maybe it's time for someone to step up and help Luca in the offense so that the load won't be too much because he can't sustained it.
5752  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Psychological Mistake of the Beginners Traders on: November 27, 2019, 12:45:51 PM
I guess it really shows that crypto is not for everyone. Because if you have that mentality that you will always win here, then you are wrong.

There are a lot of psychological mistakes like what the OP has posted. And it's really hard to overcome it specially if you're a beginner here and if you have that mindset that you can get rich quick here. Just look any other 'job', you really need to have a strong mentality and should always gets up and think of it as a journey and not a marathon.
5753  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit hacked on: November 27, 2019, 12:22:53 PM
If my memory serves me right, this is not the first time that Upbit was hacked. Or it was targeted by the North Koreans in the past, so I'm sure they should have known better. Anyways, there are reports surfacing that there are some sort of Signs Point to Inside Job in Upbit Crypto Exchange Hack, Says Commentator.

https://twitter.com/iamjosephyoung/status/1199625442312908801?s=20

Quote
The "hacker" timed when UPbit was making crypto transfers to its cold wallet (other alts like TRON, etc.)

Hence, I think the probability of it being an inside job is higher than external breach.

No details are certain for now. Will continue to update.
5754  Economy / Marketplace / Re: $1 Billion Dollar’s Worth of Cryptocurrency Stolen in 2018 on: November 27, 2019, 12:00:41 PM
And to make things worst in the market, another South Korean Exchanges has been reported to be hacked, this time it's Upbit:

Quote
In its statement, the exchange emphasized that it deemed the 342,000 ETH transaction to be the only irregular transaction on the ledger, alluding to a number of other large-scale transfers that it said were related to the exchange moving assets between hot and cold storage wallets.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/signs-point-to-inside-job-in-upbit-crypto-exchange-hack-says-commentator

I really don't know what to say, $50 Million worth of money has been stolen again and I'm sure lots of negative news will come out again to undermine crypto specially from it's detractors.
5755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: November 26, 2019, 08:28:25 AM
Good, so we can settle once and for all who are best in the HW decision. But this is going to be tricky though, we have seen what had happened in the first match, Fury controlling the fight early on with this boxing skills and Wilder heating up late in the round and did score a knock down. And we thought that Fury couldn't get up from that devastating KD. So it's going hard to predict as to who are going to win in this fight.
5756  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: LotsOfBitcoins.io - Bitcoin auctions - Buy&Sell anonymously - Amazing discounts on: November 26, 2019, 08:05:49 AM
And to quote from your website:

Quote
Some people need to get rid of their cryptoholdings anonymously and without interfering on the markets, so they are willing to sell they cryptos at lower rates. Take profit of this situation and adquire bitcoins at amazing prices.

Lol, are you sure of that? Crypto enthusiast are willing to sell their crypto's at a lower rates because they want to get rid of it anonymously and quick?

There are better ways to cash out your crypto's and get a fair price, so I smell some shady and fishy things going on the background here, just saying.
5757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $35 million worth of ETH for a ridiculous $0.07 transfer fee? on: November 26, 2019, 07:39:48 AM
I guess it just shows the usefulness of crypto as compare to banking system. You can simply moved your funds around with almost nothing. And if you do this using banking system, it will take days before the transfer is clear + the fees are going to be exorbitant because it will have to go through several passes.

This is just one advantage of crypto, we are own bank and we control everything. And if these whales uses Ethereum network, then it will be very quick and transfer fees are ridiculously low.
5758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: November 26, 2019, 07:21:36 AM
^^ Well we can't say if it's really a good strategy to lost some weight in this fight. I mean everything is perfect in the first fight so why chance now? Maybe his power is not there because he could also be losing muscle mass along the way.

And we won't find it out until we see his performance on the ring. But I would speculate that he takes his advantage on this one and could haunt him if he loses his fight with Joshua here, just saying.
5759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 26, 2019, 06:50:17 AM
Did you watch the Raptors vs Sixers game?

I am checking at the stats now, and I can't believe Embiid was scoreless in this game.

He was 0-11 while Gasol 1-8 with only 3 points in the game,... Now I like to believe that Gasol is really a good stopper.

At least we have seen what Raptors can do without Leonard in the line up already.  Grin

I guess Embiid is still affected by the emotional lost they got from the Raptors last year that's why playing them today give him flushes of that game.  Grin. And just imagine if they collide on the first or second round in the playoffs this year. Can Joel overcome those mental barriers?

Gasol though put a good defense on him that's why he wasn't geting touches of the ball.
5760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: November 25, 2019, 11:32:23 AM
Congrats to Spain for winning the Davis Cup this year.

Rafael Nadal proved once again why he is Spain's number one player, first Davis Cup for Spain since 2011. Emotional and inspiring win for Bautista-Agut as well, just a day he was in his father's funeral and then come back to win, it was so remarkable for him and his team mates.

Hats off to Bautista-Agut. I never knew that his father has died that's why he is not in the semis against Great Britain. So I would like that it was really a emotional match and see that he had help Spain win against Canada and bagged this year's Davis Cup. Probably his father is watching his match, very emotional as he is crying, so congrats to Spain for a big win.
