The thing about E-sports games on the SEA Games this year they got a variety of popular games to choose from and right now they are also considering E-sports as a great addition to showcase talents and skills that are not also seen on Sports that required strength and unbelievable speed. and I didn't see any Onehash special betting on which country would acquire the most Gold but if you got some link, please post it here so everyone can sure bet on it.

I hope they can keep up that way all our athletes that are expected to deliver, really deliver on the first two days of the events, we will see many more medals when the track and fields and boxing are held, hopefully, the coming storm will not have an impact on the many events, there's a big possibility that we can become number one in medal tally, and all criticism will be stopped once we finish with the most medal.

For those of you who still don't know why the Philippines is leading the gold medal tally it's because the host country has the ability to add sporting events where they think they would win that is why we have sports like Dancesports, Arnis, and E-sports in our sporting events where Dancesports and Arnis is where most of the Philippines' gold medal are in their first day. Just like what happened during the 2017 SEA games where Malaysia is the host and they won the most gold medals at 145 gold medals and in 2011 SEA games where Indonesia is the host and they earned the most medals with 182 gold medals. So the Philippines is also doing the same technique on why some host countries are leading in the medal tally.

Evacuations in Philippines as typhoon cancels SEA Games event

The Philippines has begun evacuating thousands of people, local officials said Sunday, as a powerful typhoon rumbling in from the Pacific forced Southeast Asian Games organisers to cancel or reschedule some events.

The storm entered Philippine territory Saturday evening, shortly before President Rodrigo Duterte and boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao launched the Games with a colourful opening ceremony.

Forecasters expect Typhoon Kammuri to make landfall Monday evening or Tuesday morning, packing gusts of 170 kilometres (105 miles) per hour and maximum sustained winds of 140 kph.

I just hope though that everyone in the Philippines will be safe, not just the athletes. I know it's a bummer that some of the games will be cancelled because of the storm, but safety first.

Yeah surprisingly that e sports have been added and all country agree to enlist these famous games. Of course our Country (host) have probably selected the most famous players. It's been years since its the booming of e sport and Filipinos are fond of playing these games. I'm not saying this is a good sport but famous and other countries agree to it that's why it is included.

Aside from Basketball, I'm also gonna watch the games for the DOTA 2 and Mobile Legends.

wow this is a great start for our beloved country and the athletes that fighting for us,this is more than enough to consider that at least in the beginning we get to be on top position.
because we know that as the event progress the other countries will cope up and may take the rank from us(hopefully now)

I agree, there's a lot of surprised from the sporting community to see Vietnamese fighting it out wit the host nation Philippines in the top of medal standing. Maybe Indonesia didn't sent their best athlete or it's just that the Vietnamese has fully prepared for this event.

No storm can stop the Philippines from winning more golds, just saw the mens and womens 3x3 basketball team into the semi finals. And I think they will be surely gunning for a sweep with a gold medals in both division. Goodluck!!!

What do you mean by "complaining about that too"? Are you expecting guest countries to complain about the inclusion of Arnis in the sea games? They cannot do that because the host country can include "local" sports or non-olympic as part of the competition from what I know.

Arnis was added to SEAG thrice already (first was 1995). Dancesport was also added after a decade of not being part of the competition.

And basically arnis being the national sport of the philippines is not an issue there. Other country have arnis as their sport as well and they should take into account that it is a part of the competition. I think what we better discuss here is to start gambling who will win in other sports category. Especially in sports that are widely shared by most country.

we are just started mate,rankings will change eventually as days passed by.

remember that Vietnam,Indonesia,Thailand and Malaysia are the biggest competitor from the start so let us hope of continuity and in the end we will get the Final total.

I will conclude now that Philippines will be the overall champion , as what yku can see , it has the most number of gold among other countries. And based on the current ranking they remain as the number one. Wish that in other olympics they will bring home the bacon too. What happen to timor leste by the way? I hope that they will get any medal or a cetificate of participation also, I am proud of them for being there and continue fight with pride and dignity.

It will more likely to happen as the host team really getting the rhythm of winning the most numbers of golds, though there's still time for other countries to catch up but this second day results takes the advantages for the PH participants. Those  known games like weight lifting and 3x3 basketball are well dominated today and adds up more golds for team PH.  The motto of "We win as One" is really inspiring and the delegates are owning it.

The host country is way ahead, while Vietnam is in second place with 15 Gold. The competition still have nine days to go. Other participants can still catch up in the ranking.
