who can escrow transaction for me?
There are a lot of trusted escrow people here. I would recommend Devthedev, Tomatocage and escrow.ms.

Bitcoin is 5 years old and Apple Pay is less 1 years old while obviously Apple Pay beaten Bitcoin now. Why? This is a Big Question.
How is that a big question? Apple is well known and used a lot, Bitcoin is still something new.
5763  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How much did you lose trough Cryptodouble ? on: January 14, 2015, 03:05:03 PM
CryptoDouble wasn't a game, they promised returns via trading which is why it got so popular. He can actually take them to court but he'll never find them
A ponzi is a ponzi and if you tell me that you didn't know it was one, you are probably lying or way too trusting Tongue

I get that it sucks, it really does, but you can't do anything against it.
5764  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How much did you lose trough Cryptodouble ? on: January 14, 2015, 02:58:17 PM
So, let me get this straight:
- You "invested" in a Ponzi
- You expected big returns
- You lost the "investment" because the Ponzi crashed
- You want to get Cryptodouble to court, because you were so stupid to "invest" in a ponzi

You do know that ponzi's are illegal in most places, right? So even if you get enough people, nobody would be stupid enough to go to court, because playing in a ponzi is illegal as well. Don't play if you can't afford to lose it.

You could also encrypt your private key using BIP-38. This will result in an key that is useless for someone that doesn't the password. However, this means that you will have to remember the password forever. Grin
5766  Other / Meta / Re: Should Ponzis/HYIP's be moved "games and rounds"? on: January 14, 2015, 02:05:24 PM
Is there any particular reason to the gambling section not being moderated even though it's one of the most popular sections on the forum?

Maybe it's some sort of tradition but i personally never understood that tbh
Because if we do, who controls us? Who makes sure that we don't remove stuff that we shouldn't? For example, we could get paid to remove certain posts, maybe from rival company. Also, how do you define a scam? Sometimes it's really easy, but with, for example ponzi's, it's really hard to determine. Some people don't see them as a scam. It has been decided a long time ago that we won't moderate stuff like that.

I'm not really complaining about ponzi's being a scam, because i guess some people need to actually burn themselves in order to understand things,
moreso am I finding this section less and less enjoyable to read because due to the fact that ponzis seem to work, everyone is doing them which makes the really interesting gambling threads dissapear in the masses
Don't worry. This happened last year as well and they were gone after one or two weeks. People lose interest quickly. Wink
5767  Other / Meta / Re: Should Ponzis/HYIP's be moved "games and rounds"? on: January 14, 2015, 01:56:37 PM
Ponzi's and HYIP's will never be banned or removed. The staff does not moderate threads and never will. It's your responsibility and if you loste money, well bad luck.

Hey crazy. Nice to meet you.
5769  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Bugs in ponzi script. on: January 14, 2015, 10:29:47 AM
They must likely got banned for bumping their thread (only 1 every 24 hours is allowed) and posting off topic stuff.
on his profile says multiple threads.
I see nextponzi tried to make one thread per game (they have two games) and got banned for it
Well the rules is: one thread per website. I assume the other threads got moved to trashcan or deleted completely (which means they won't be seen on someone's profile). It could be a combination of those three things as well, but I don't know the details. So there isn't much I can tell you about it.

Well coincidentally it happened literally right when I added a new ban.

I did it, I broke the forum.
Bad bear!

Did everyone else experience issues with accessing the forum?

Anyway.... let's get back to business people!
There was a small problem while testing a migration script for the new forum:
Migration testing ended up running an import script on the server ended up taking up way too much resources on the server. We are figuring out a better way to not starve the production box. This wasn't because of a DDOS.
5776  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: XAPO euro debit card. Experience, fees and limits. on: January 13, 2015, 06:12:05 PM

5777  Other / Meta / Re: Getting DDOSED ? on: January 13, 2015, 06:10:03 PM
It was really down, but I have no idea why. I'm currently trying to find out why and how. I'm currently don't think it was a DDOS problem, but we shall see.
