Why should anybody trust your story.
Also , nobody will give you a loan without a collateral.
We don't want to get "scammed" either.

Think of Bitcoin as :

5765  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to buy bc with paypal? on: December 05, 2013, 11:13:53 PM
Also , the longest dispute time frame I've ever heard about Visa was 60 days.
5766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to buy bc with paypal? on: December 05, 2013, 11:12:20 PM
Lots of replies here

Might want to make sure of this because I know Visa has strict regs against time frames on disputes. I think it's 30 - 45 days.

I'll do it for just 1 btc. You'll get burned anyhow.
5767  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here's two major reasons why Bitcoin will soon pass $2000 on: December 05, 2013, 11:08:33 PM

Why would investors "need" to get into bitcoin ?
Why Brazil and India ? Most people are very poor over there and do not even have a computer

People need anothe China hype.
And it sounds cool when it's India or exotic for Brazil , not the Us or Europe we're all bored with
5768  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Any other Americans considering a claim against the FBI over SilkRoad? on: December 05, 2013, 11:06:19 PM
Half of me is saying "Do it". I'm most interested in proving in a court you own some bitcoins.
The other half is saying , "Nope" for obvious reason. I'm sure they have some felonies for which they haven't found the criminal you yet.
5769  Economy / Speculation / Re: China just made Bitcoin pretty useless within China on: December 05, 2013, 11:00:05 PM
It has been stated before by some shop owners.
When bitcoin rise in price , their sales go down.

People are not getting it the right way.
Buy in bitcoins , and exchange back in bitcoins the usd you would have spent on the item.

Yes I see.
They have a winning lottery ticket but they have to cash it after a x period of time , by which some of them will already have left the town.
By road or ....air Smiley

1. India
2. Brazil

These countries have shit loads of money ready to be invested in new opportunities. Once these guys go crazy over Bitcoin, I expect another huge, HUGE rise.
honestly I doubt this at least at this point. We are still waiting for Europe to join the card, maybe than other countries will recognize bitcoin as serious investment

Europe is already in. I've been into bitcoin a while and half my department own bitcoins.
Even my mom and uncle knows about bitcoin.

Germany sees bitcoin as a valid denomination of money.
Holland has indicated how tax should be paid on bitcoin. You can buy bitcoin through your bank.

What do you mean with "We are still waiting for Europe to join the card" ?

Blockchain hold 27mils transactions.
Assuming every transaction is to a unique person we would still only have less than 5% of Europe population abroad
5773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mayor, police chief in struggling Kentucky coal town to donate salary in Bitcoin on: December 05, 2013, 10:49:00 PM
Sorry , but how is going to help the town?
I'm missing the picture here!

Not to be flip or anything like that but I'd try reading the articles in future.

"Both the mayor and police chief from Vicco, Ky., a town of about 330 residents located about 130 miles southeast of Lexington, said they will donate their entire paycheck to a Bitcoin account formed in the town’s name."

Just sayin'....................................

My $.02.

Wink

He's donating the Bitcoins.
If they go and sell them , they will get less of the original value (fees for this).
If they don't sell it and keep it to increase in value , they aren't improving anything right now!
5774  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why didn't Satoshi Nakamoto just give 10 BTC to everyone in the world for free? on: December 05, 2013, 10:45:54 PM
You can still get free BTC from free faucets, not as much as in early days, but the dollar value is about the same  Smiley

You're better off with a minimum wage job
5775  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can't access encrypted wallet.dat - looking for ideas on: December 05, 2013, 10:42:47 PM
Try capslock.

Either this or try opening a notepad and type your password 10 times , see if you're doing a mistake.
Also broken keyboard Smiley

Well , with a bad newspaper you can always wipe your ass , what do you do with a bad video on youtube?

5779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At just $1, QUARK will be #3 on the planet on: December 05, 2013, 10:29:05 PM
I like how everyone just bitches about every coin ever as being a scam. Then the moment they buy some it is the best thing ever.

Not every coin it's a scam.
NMC is not a scam. It's the only alt coin that has a purpose in its life.
There are other coins who can be considered clones , no real use , some never delivered improvement.
Also coins that can do the difference but they lack the team behind the idea.

And there are ... scam coins.
Premined coins , coins that are pumped in the begging by paid clones account here, coins which have only one target. Make the developers rich. No matter whose money is in there.
5780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why didn't Satoshi Nakamoto just give 10 BTC to everyone in the world for free? on: December 05, 2013, 10:24:04 PM

Enlighten me on this.
Nope , lots of people out there don't have the ability to mine one single BTC.

Everyone has the ability to go and buy hardware to mine. Whether they can afford to do it or have the funds to do it, is another story.

My point was just as I said. If you were given BTCs then the value would be less than if it had been accumulated by work.
BTC would then equal Copper not Gold.
[/quote]

Another story?Huh?
That's the point.

Don't go say anyone / everyone , when its is "some people".
