Im going to start selling btc/ltc for paypal as soon as gain enough reputation around here.
How do you plan on avoiding chargebacks? Iv been selling on other large forums already, chargebacks are easy to deal with through phonecalls. Tip: Paypal does not cover virtual items. Yeah, and that's why they'll issue a chargeback to the buyer without warning or investigating. I bought all my coins via paypal when I first started with cryptos so I know it's possible to make good money, but it's only a matter of time before you get scammed. actually no when i get chargedback I call paypal and tell them the item was sent, they'll cancel the chargeback since theres no proof that i didnt send Is there proof that you did? This seems to contradict stories I've read numerous times on here. PP/ebay seem to dish out refunds for anything if you don't have proof that you posted it. Selling on forums with other members I mean, PP will always side with the buyer on ebay I've seen many instances of both unfortunately. fortunately for me I know how to deal with chargebacks Let's put it to the test. Willing to sell me some coins via paypal?

There is an exchange that you can deposit USD into with paypal and has been doing it for years. https://www.virwox.com/index.phpBut You have to Buy Second Life Lindon Dollars (SLL) then buy BTC with SLL. Getting setup takes joining SL then getting account at virvox go back into SL to authenticate (need not go back to SL after that). There are also daily limits of ~$100 but they go up as you use the service. Also the first BTC withdrawal is delayed 48Hrs. But you can do it all from a PC and once it's set up its pretty easy. But setting up is a real pain. They do not have a direct USD/BTC exchange. So it's double commission for them. USD/SLL then SLL/BTC today it worked out overall to be bitstamp +~12%. But it varies. once it's setup Goto virwox and deposit USD with paypal (site opens paypal window etc) Buy SLL accept instant price or play the market for better price( up to you) Buy BTC with SLL (again instant spot price or play market which takes time) Withdraw BTC to wallet/Criptsy/wherever you want. takes 5min or so but they batch BTC transactions so it takes a couple of hours for it to show up in wallet.

It's best practice to not use paypal, but I have used it for payments for btc. I just make sure it's verified before I send the btc, so it takes about a day to send the btc.

Might want to make sure of this because I know Visa has strict regs against time frames on disputes. I think it's 30 - 45 days.

They vary I think - 6 months may be incorrect actually, but I'm sure I've seen some with a few months at least.

i've used virwox, I would recommend it if you want to use paypal, but you are limited to 104usd per 24 hours x 3 deposits at account level 0 for 10 days.

A note of caution. I sent the user Delgado804 money by PayPal yesterday and he confirmed receiving it but did not send the bitcoins. I opened a dispute claim at PayPal. Should the user send the bitcoins then I will update this post. I will also vote negative on his trust. Update 19.12.2013: PayPal ruled in my favor and refunded the whole sum. Delgado804 never replied to my emails and never sent the bitcoins.

I used Virwox once because I had money in neteller and it ended up costing me about 50% more because there wasn't enough people offering btc there. Of course it was a while ago and the market there may be different these days. Also regarding bank transfers, I have heard of even these resulting in a chargeback (even a bank with compulsory 2fa). I think the key to any trade is checking the reputation/ratings of the other party.
