Just to make it clear, is it dependent in any way on % chance/payout rate/amount wagered, or is it irrelevant?

Yeah it's based on chance, the probability of losing x bets at y chance. Whatever the least likely run is (unluckiest) wins.

OK. But the amount wagered doesn't matter?

And I assume the mixed streaks (losing bets with different chances) won't count?

5765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ironically, the best way (for the bitcoin ecosystem) to spend your bitcoins is.. on: January 01, 2015, 04:15:11 PM

Exactly. I'm not really buying this logic that people spending bitcoin has a negative effect. We can't be discouraging people top not spend their coins because of this either. I think a good option is to spend your bitcoins but then buy some more to replace them.

Read my post above yours.

Spending bitcoin (at merchants that convert instantly to fiat) has a negative effect on the price of bitcoin, not on bitcoin itself. It's simply equivalent of selling your coins for fiat.

I agree that it shouldn't discourage people from spending BTC. If anyone is concerned of the price - just buy back the amount of BTC you've spent, and there's no negative effect on the price. Simple

If I invested in your site say 0.1 how much would I expect back in 24 hours?

No one will be able to give you an estimate. All depends on players' luck.

You should always see such investment as a long-term thing, sometimes very long term.

Link sent. Enjoy your playing!

Thanks Frank.

Just a suggestion, it may be good to start a separate thread for such promos in 'games and rounds' section.

They're not allowed in 'Gambling':

To be specific, I'm referring to "Post in this thread for free x". That belongs in Games and Rounds. Though it isn't limited to that, in general you shouldn't be giving people incentives to post in your thread, it's disruptive to actual discussion.

Also, it's the better way to introduce new people to SafeDice.
5769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ironically, the best way (for the bitcoin ecosystem) to spend your bitcoins is.. on: January 01, 2015, 02:45:31 PM
Wrong, when you post an order-proposal in PurseIO or Broker, you're putting a sale proposal, not a sell order, I mean, it's not a sell order in an exchange. When the buyer orders your items, it's basically an immediate-buy-order. So the last step is the one that matters, the person that confirms the transaction is in this case the buyer, as opposed with BitPay-based merchants (that convert immediately to fiat).

My bad!

I wasn't aware how actually Brawker worked. I thought someone will buy on your behalf in exchange for a small fee (if that was the case, he will need to sell BTC for fiat to be able to make another purchases).

But apparently it works the other way, it matches people who want to buy BTC with those who want to spend BTC.

Here's a short video explaining the idea:

5771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ironically, the best way (for the bitcoin ecosystem) to spend your bitcoins is.. on: January 01, 2015, 02:12:02 PM

Wrong. The middlemen will still have to convert BTC to fiat in order to make purchase for you.

So the effect is the same.

The best way is to chose the merchant that keeps some % of bitcoins, or better yet, buy your bitcoins back after you paid with them.

A question to investors: how long does it take to reach a ROI? I know there isn't a fixed percentage in these kind of investments, but I just would like to know the average time for ROI, if it could be a good way to invest my money.

ROI is not the right term for such investments, as invested BTC are not spent but deposited. You can invest/divest any time you want.

So if you invest and some player loses, you get instant (small) profit (and the other way around).

BONUS

The top 10 posters of the past month will be receiving a bonus 0.10BTC on behalf of BIT-X.com.

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year from the team over at BIT-X.com.

You will have to reenrol for another month in order to claim this bonus Smiley.

Is that based on quality or quantity?

Must be quantity. It would be a nightmare to assess quality of every post, not to mention it would cause a riot  Wink
5776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to Bitcoin! Microwallet on: December 30, 2014, 10:37:44 PM
Apologies if this has been asked -  I am new to bitcoin and I have been having great fun earning tiny amounts of bitcoins!  However I have been doing it for a few days and I have about 1/3 of a coin now - however I am unclear when microwallet will transfer the balance to my web based wallet - Do I have to stop earn coins for a number of days for them to do the transfer or will it just happen on a certain day???

Many thanks for any help here

From the microwallet website:

Automatic payments

We send the bitcoins automatically as soon as your balance reached the withdrawal limit.

https://www.microwallet.org/

It should be send to you after you reach the limit (don't know what the limit is though).

You got ~0.3 BTC after few days? That doesn't sound possible. I don't even think that 0.03 is possible

Going to be posting some PRE-LOADED Ref Links in about 15-20 minutes after my deposit goes through.

DON'T!!!

Very likely 1 or 2 people will grab them all, leaving the others dissapointed.

Just send links in PMs, ie to the first 5 people who reply etc.
5778  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anybody here uses Shift or Xapo debit card? on: December 30, 2014, 10:07:08 PM
well i submit information just asked for name, email and country. Now i guess i have to wait for them to contact me whenever that may be hope it dont take forever

There's also FAQ on the bottom of the page:

https://shiftpayments.com/card/#/faq

Couple of interesting things in there. Apparently they'll charge for issuing the card but there are no tx fees.

Unfortunately this one is no good for UK:

11. Any other things I should know about using the card?

These are PIN-less cards. If prompted at a payment terminal, please choose credit (vs debit).

You cannot use it in the most popular 'chip and pin' devices, as they don't have neither chip or pin.

And what would happen if players give up on unlocking the bonus?

Not sure what you mean. The account is credited as soon as someone clicks on the link. You'd get temporary username, which you can change later on (or not).

If you click and close the window and never come back, I assume the credited BTC are gone.

Edit: didn't notice you've edited

For the preloaded ref links, is there a way to have the same bonus and requirements to all that sign up through your link?

Preloaded link is for one time use. So you'd need to create multiple links with the same settings.
