5761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: October 01, 2019, 08:56:49 AM
On the other hand, gambling is an investment into an activity in the “hopes” of winning without any analysis and, just relying on luck.
Gambling is not an investment. It is a game of chance where you rely on your luck to multiply your capital. Investments are done after proper research and EV- games in gambling are not comparable to them. If you say EV+ games then to some extent you would be correct. Because EV+ games need your homework to be done and bets placed after analyzing the team for days and months.

Quote
The thing makes them the same is that they cannot be used by any analysis or simply you just predicting the movement.
Binary is just that. It is a type of gambling about price going up or down. You are not profiting from it. The place where you are plying is actually profiting.
5762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Identify Cryptocurrency Scams on: October 01, 2019, 08:53:46 AM
Beginners in crypto are mostly the victims of this scams this is very rampant on twitter creating fake accounts of popular personalities and fake giveaways like what stated on the article by OP, the only way to avoid and fall for this kind of scams is to asked first and research before sending any amount of money be vigilant especially if huge money involved be very careful to invest if not sure about what you are entering.
For those who fall or fell of these twitter giveaway scams, I have only one thing to say. These people should learn to judge properly. How do you trust someone on the internet whom you never talked to before and has a fake image as profile pic and you send them 1ETH immediately? People have to be greedy for that 10ETH promised return. Like seriously have you lost your mind here? No system in this world can generate coins out of the blue and multiply it 10times without going through risks. But they have to fall for the greed.

I hope such losers learnt their lesson by getting scammed.  Tongue
5763  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which of these exchanges shall I sign up to? on: October 01, 2019, 08:47:26 AM
I have actually used HitBTC in the past because they are easy to sign up without the need of immediate verification compared to Bittrex and Poloniex at that time in 2017. But the only problem I face there is the big withdrawal fees. If thats ok with you then you can use them but be warned that they have a slow support response system so any problem you face will take some time to get fixed. I never faced a problem with KYC there so I continue to use it.

Best exchange system was Shapeshift and Changelly - those were some good times, Alas they now force KYC on customers.
5764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for an ongoing cooperation with a philologist/proofreader on: September 30, 2019, 03:50:10 PM
Only very stupid people or very unprofessional ones can publicly evaluate projects and tokens without even reading their WP. Which of these two groups do you belong to?
But that does not mean that your token is going to be better than Bitcoin. Saying so only makes your credibility not even zero but to the negative side of the number line. You are in a bitcoin forum and the biggest one of them in the universe. Show some respect to the members who are pro-bitcoin.

Even if you dont know how to show respect, the way to post and the low level of professionalism that is evident makes your project a very shady one.
5765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which betting type gives you the most payout? on: September 30, 2019, 08:41:28 AM
But this is highly subjective as to what method to play would give you a max payout. It depends on what you are betting on. If you are going to bet on the underdog you will be getting a higher payout provided in the lines but the chances of them winning is obviously low. But these odds are again not fixed and change with time. In simpler terms, analyzing the betting odds is another topic of study and those who are professionally betting on games bet on more than one market o maximize the arbitrage.

It does not mean that one type of line will always be higher payout than another.
5766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is how you cash out bitcoin anonymously in 2019! on: September 30, 2019, 08:37:38 AM
I dont think OP needs to share it because if you share something that is secret, then it no longer remains a secret. I think the OP is just trying to promote a service or just trying to scam people that they are providing a service which is a lie.

For anyone who wants to add some anonymity to their coins can use a mixing or tumbling service. But honestly if you are not a huge-cap trader/gambler/whale then stop the paranoia of people snooping on your coins. Only those who have a criminal connection to their coins actually go through the mixing services and whales too.
5767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How i keep my private keys safe without hardware wallet on: September 30, 2019, 08:32:37 AM
The best way to do this is to store private keys in a Linux distro like Mint or ArchLinux on an Airgapped device that has never connected to the internet. Using windows the security risk is higher. Do not waste a full had disk on that though.

Keeping soft copies of your private keys on separate locations is again risky of theft from one location which has least security. That you need to assess. Written private keys are at risk of being lost or destroyed by water or fire and being stolen.

Compared to this hassle, a hardware wallet is definitely going to be better.
5768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to find scam coins on: September 30, 2019, 08:28:37 AM
Its really hard to find legit projects in crypto space today, 2018 was a bit better in terms of scam projects compare to 2019, its like scammers are in every corner of crypto in 2019 so i consider all new projects to be scam until i am able to detect that i was wrong, i have joined up to 40 different airdrops and only 7 are listed on exchanges, some turned scam and others stop working, same thing for bounties as well
Honestly speaking if you compare 2018 or 2017, there was no dearth of scam projects. There have always been projects that turned scam or sold off to another company leaving investors at loss and projects that were pump and dump to sell off at a profit for the owners.

What matters is not the time of bull or bear market but the lack of knowledge and ignorance of the investors who take part and promote these projects. Some are there knowing that it will be a loss, they are just cashing in the big bull pump and are going to sell off then, other enthusiastic investors are the biggest losers here, because they hope of a big project recognition will make them lose.
5769  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Signature campaign service on: September 29, 2019, 11:50:45 AM
LOL you guys are posting here but I have a feeling that the OP is looking to join a signature campaign rather than looking for a manager for their own project.  Grin
5770  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Need Advise ??? on: September 29, 2019, 11:46:58 AM
For those of you who are unaware and posting here without prior knowledge, Nebeus had run a tokesale previously run a bounty campaign on this forum which was managed by Sylon.

ANN thread exists here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2237115.280

Bounty thread exists here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2238140.0

Just when I saw this username in this section of the forum I was reminded that I had also participated in their bounty, and I never got paid. I am sure the rest of the bounty hunters were also not paid as is evident from the last posts in the ANN.
5771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the difference between binary option and gambling? on: September 29, 2019, 07:28:09 AM
Yeah, without analysis, the binary will be gambling and so do with crypto trading.
Binary is a type of gambling anyway with or without analysis.

Quote
The other difference is we can use little money to gamble, but in the binary system, we must use some money to start trading.
Gambling with very small capital at hand is worthless. You woudl get wiped out in one single red streak and wont be able to last long enough to hit that big win. But depends on your strategy, still a decent amount to start playing is for any strategy to be viable and worth running, even though in EV- games the long term result is loss.

Quote
In binary, we depend on our analysis, but in gambling, we rely on the luck. So both is not the same, but binary can be gambling if we don't know how to trade.
Binary options is not same as trading. You are predicting movements and betting on them. Hence its the gamble. You are not actually buying them. This is where it is different from spot trading.
5772  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Initial Offerings Overpriced? on: September 29, 2019, 07:22:28 AM
Every ICO owner wants their token to be overbought. It is common for the owners to fake their statistics for this purpose and even if they are exposed 99% of the investors would not care because they lack the basic sense of research and analysis of prices. The reason of "rekt" after altcoins is because of the money-grabbing attitude that majority of the people in the crypto world have and the ICO owners prey on it. They are going to overprice their tokens so they get a good amount of money in for their own scam.

Exactly zero number of ICOs are needed for any investors to invest in. None of them ended up with a proper MVP or a reputed project. All of them were waste of time and money but still even today people are buying new ICO token offerings. Roll Eyes
5773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IEOs is a game for top exchanges. on: September 29, 2019, 07:17:24 AM
I always check before investing. It is not necessary for a project in top exchange to be successful nor it is essential for the lower projects in ICO to be unsuccessful. We have ETH, for example, it has been a massive success despite being on ICO. I do my research and gather my bit of info rather than relying on the exchange’s repo for the success of a project.
Lets give it a rest but IEO are nothing but ICOs in another new name. It is the same shitcoin being promoted in the same shitty marketing method just the place of distribution is different and the listing is easier since the exchange is giving them out. But do not take the credibility of the exchange for the future of that IEO token. They are least bothered about the project and their own concern is the money they get for listing and distributing the token.

People need to look through the smoke and mirros or these scam offerings and stop promoting them.
5774  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Airdrop SCAM Project on: September 28, 2019, 01:15:39 PM
OP, if you want people to know and judge the project then post this properly in the Scam Accusations section of this forum in the proper format. In general if you post here nobody is going to look through it but in that section some DT members can put a negative trust on the owners account if they have one. Provide proper proof as well why you think it is a scam.

In general you all should stop hunting aridrops. If someone is giving out coins for free then be assured that they wont be any value in this market. Wink
5775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tricks and tips for esports betting on: September 28, 2019, 10:39:42 AM
That's right. In fact, esports is just easy to predict when you really know the game and who the players are. Mostly those team with a player with high ranking in the game are considered a strong team so placing our money to them is a good idea.
I disagree with your point of esports being "easy bets". No gambling game in the world is easy. Even if you are really good at the game, gambling on a outcome of a game is also based on a lot of other factors. You need to know the team members and if the matches are fixed all your predictions could go wrong. eSports is more like a fixed version of any other physical game, its just promoted and gamebois are just too excited to join in it forgetting that the age old laws of gambling still apply to it but really who cares about the money?

Analysis of the game will help you but the outcome of the game can be due to a lot of luck factor.
5776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are to be blame on: September 28, 2019, 10:27:48 AM
I agree, scammers are very much in the cryptocurrency ,
Scammers exist in every sphere of life and not only in cryptocurrency. You get mugged in a dark alley, scammed on your credit card with false promises and scammed by the pavement beggar who is making a fortune begging. Do you complain about those too?

Quote
and it is very annoying,
Not if you know how to prevent being scammed and use your logic instead of your greed/fear/doubt.

and a lot of my friends lost their funds in eth and tokens that stored their tokens on The mew wallet.
MEW needs a lot of precautions to operate. But there are method to secure it, like using the Metamask plugin and storing them in a hardware wallet. Why dont you people use them and be safe?
5777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: site for creating paid tasks on: September 28, 2019, 10:24:54 AM
Yes, I meant it, thanks for the idea, friend, but I would like to find a specialized service for such tasks
You should hire a reputable bounty manager and let them organize the payment for you. They would be more than willing to listen to your requirements and they know the forum and its rules well. Not every type of giveaway can be posted and run on the forum and so you always bear the responsibility of what happens if you do run it and get banned by moderators - it could hurt the reputation of the project.

But paying the manger to do this, they would list it in the proper section. Bounties for altcoins or Services section for bitcoin. They would also take those accounts that are having a good twitteraudit score and thus you would be at ease.
5778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 27, 2019, 11:50:31 AM
Using your emotions to make yourself "back" your favorite club/team/player is the wrong approach to betting. You will almost always end up losing your money if you follow this road. You have to be impartial in your decision and analysis and place bets in a calculated manner to profit. Casinos encash your money from emotions so dont let them do so.

You never know when a goal might turn the tide of the game and you will end up worried that your team will lose and this may force you to make a counter bet to get back some win. But then your team scores again and the older bet is winning making the counter bet useless. Dont fall for such situations.
5779  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I need a Good developer that can program script for bitsler and dicebot! on: September 27, 2019, 11:45:50 AM
There is already a dicebot that has been developed by Seuntjie and is very popular. They have the option of playing in many dice sites and they include bitsler. Not sure if you have already seen their thread here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307425.0

Maybe this is what you need and it is free so why are you going to waste money in buying a service? Also many bots are actually loaded with scripts to withdraw your balance if you use them and give in your login id and many of them are also malware. But Seuntjie's dicebot is the only trusted one which is clean.

You also should be careful not to rely completely on the bot because using a bot does no change the odds. You will lose money in the long run for any EV- game.
5780  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Fiat to your bank account or gift card to buy things on Amazon? on: September 27, 2019, 11:39:20 AM
OP I would like it if you include both payment systems in your site. Its more of a preference to their own choice and having both options they would complain less in case you had only one method. But then if they are in crypto markets then why not add in a payment method in crypto as well? They are going to crypto enthusiasts and thus they would prefer that over any of the other methods that you have said.

If you tell us more about this game maybe other can suggest more methods of payment.
