5781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency do you use for gambling frequently? on: March 21, 2020, 12:08:34 PM
I think we need to completely separate the crypto money we buy for investment and the crypto money we use for gambling. Personally, from this point on, I will use as many USDTs as possible for gambling.

This should had been one of the very first precautions you should have taken as a gambler and not waiting for the market to experience so bad outcome before this pops into your head. Keeping your investing funds together with your gambling funds make it an easy spending source for when your bets aren't going your way and you need more funds to continue betting.

Regarding the coin I use to gamble, initially I started with the platforms native token and that was one of the criteria I used to select my preferred gambling sites since the bonus usually associated with them were mouthwatering but this day I used any cryptocurrency available on the platform surfer that coin can't determine or affect the outcome of my bets.
5782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The bounty group is dead on: March 20, 2020, 10:20:59 PM
Some gift channel groups that no longer function, can they no longer be trusted as managers so that no projects will be managed by them?
Although some of these telegram groups are popular with the gifts they managed before.

@bountyhive, etc.

Not a fan of most of the groups listed above but that of the highlighted group got my interest as I was once a patronizers of that group but in recent times thy did lack patronize from new projects so the group has been out on lockdown muting all members from community to qeacg other.

BH started promising but later turned into something else with untrustworthy behaviors like delay of payment to hunters to accepting listing privileges from scam projects which later affect the patronizers as they get rewarded but funds outs the phone ingirmauarq outdated.
5783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's just the beginning on: March 20, 2020, 10:09:58 PM
Crypto will be the biggest thing to focus on from now on because Bitcoin is recovering an stock market is not, once many witnessed this they will finally understand what crypto is capable of, for all of you saying it's the end, well it's just the beginning

Not just the stock market but also currency market. A friend who happens to be a forex trader just showed me the gain he made from trading bitcoin on forex and I was amazed. With just a $1000 price increase, bitcoin is already leading the currency market in regards to currencies recovery from the price decline of all tradable assets.

Time without number the price of bitcoin has experience correction and also recovery with impressive gains, this time the case won't be any different. Believers just need to continue holding and their patience will be rewarded.
5784  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Loan Default - theyoungmillionaire u=1180530 on: March 19, 2020, 04:18:51 PM
Just had to come drop my sympathy with the affected user @DireWolfM14 who's one of the finest lender on the forum. it's quite unfortunate that things like this still happens especially from "supposedly" well established members that should lead by example. Cases like this depriveds others the privilege to receive same favor as the fear of getting frauded again rings through the OP's mind and at the same time, other lenders try to play it safe to prevent been in similar situations.

Although there's isn't much I or anyone else can do, this scam accusation is getting a flag support and feedback from me as a sign of my support for the OP, wish you better deals in the future.

Ps: The dollar value of BTC0.3 currently could be small but the Satoshi worth shouldn't be underestimated.
5785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins are your safe haven now? on: March 19, 2020, 07:57:30 AM
Hey

So, since the crisis has just begun imo, which coins are you guys holding? who do you trust?

I am a proud holder of NWC, KAVA, and BAT for some time now. Or at least I wish I could say I'm proud for all them haha. Kava and Bat are testing my patience lately, but I ain't sellin'!! Time to buy more..

I still strongly believe in bitcoin, altcoins might fail you but bitcoin can't. Its price movement resolve around a circle, the price might fall today but that doesn't mean it'll stay that way forever but that can't be said about altcoins The above altcoins you suggest can easily be replaced with other altcoins that are far superior to the current project working on either exact idea or similar innovation.

Bitcoin has proven time without number that it can be trusted and that'll why it has survive this long without any official backing from the government or any organisation backing. Irrespective of any project you invest into, don't neglect bitcoin as that's the only project close to a safe heaven in this space.
5786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: March 19, 2020, 05:45:30 AM
Do you think that the recent situation will encourage people to use (or rely) on crypto more thoroughly? What are your thoughts? Huh

You stated clearly that people will look for other ways to spend their funds safely but that can't be said about the industry at the moment especially after the massive decline of price it experience during last few days panic bloodbath. People will look for other ways to avoid having contact with others while they transact and at the same time keep their funds safe therefore if anything related to the cryptocurrency industry was to benefit from this are stablecoin since the volatility nature of this coins are minimum when compared to others like bitcoin.

Assuming the industry was experiencing some stability as it was previously observe then it would had been easier to attract new enthusiast but since it couldn't be considered as a safe heaven as it was previously presumed, it's now more difficult to present the technology as the solution instead digital currencies will be considered a perfect solution by the noncoiners.
5787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trending Altcoins on: March 19, 2020, 05:29:58 AM
Based on price movement and social media presence

The market has been taking a hit lately. However, some altcoins are shining across social channels. Will this equate to mitigated drops, and even outsized performance once the market flips?

I'm not trying to discredit any of the project highlighted in the OP but patronizers should be cautious when investing in any altcoins especially those that have recorded impressive gains like the projects in the OP, usually what follow is a massive correction which most of them don't recover from as the hype associated with them die off.

Some projects there are only profiting because they're associated with well known exchanges like binance as nothing is that special about their project. They're offering same utility most altcoins out their claim to be offering which personally I don't see any news for more of them especially as they all turn out to be shitcoins when the exchange platforms they're used on dies off.
5788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the new method of "Initial offering" this year? on: March 19, 2020, 05:07:04 AM
It seems to me that this year nothing new will be invented and towards the end of the summer new IEO's will gain popularity.

You have a point here, initially when a new trend is about to kick of, it starts getting noticed like some months before the end of the year. That's how ICO came into the community, it started in 2016 but got popularized in 2017 same thing happened to IEO as if you have been following the market closely you would had observed few IEO getting launched in 2018 but it became a trend in 2019 but we didn't observe any new trend at the end of 2019 meaning the possibility of anything new becoming a trend in regards to crowdfunding is quit minimum although seems many investors have learnt their lessons and must likely won't be that gullible to fall for this quick money tricks anymore.

2020 is more of a year of the cryptocurrency market recovering as the coins with vital development and upgrades like bitcoin and ethereum will lead the charts. Don't get decieve with the market current situation, it has nothing to do with the industry as the general economy is suffering a meltdown that even the cryptocurrency market couldn't escape most especially as the industry is been govern by emotions
5789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: March 18, 2020, 07:29:47 AM
The big problem isn't Liverpool nor the relegation teams since LFC is de facto the first one and only a jealous team could think otherwise and for the relegation, well they can maintain them and add 2 others from the EFL for example then next year we will have 5 relegation teams.
The biggest problem is how to select those who should be part of Champions or Europa Leagues...

I don't see any problem, every team has to understand the current situation the world is facing or probably they agree to play all remaining games behind close doors. If the league was to end the way the table is currently standing then top 4 teams gets the champions spot (excluding Manchester city as a result of their ban). Last 3 teams gets relegated to the EPL, it's as simple as that.

Although I don't think it'll come to that, the league will end as it normally does were all 20 clubs play 38 matches. The champion and Europa league will also get completed to get a champion. It's just a matter of time before everything gets back to normal.
5790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POLL: Who Would You Prefer In Your Team: Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi? on: March 18, 2020, 06:18:41 AM
Don't even get why Messi is getting any vote, Messi is a dependant player, he needs to be playing with the best to achieve his full potential. He isn't a complete player, when you talk about leadership skills he doesn't have those. Without his left leg, Messi is as useless as Lingard. Ronaldo on the other hand is a big match player that delivers match after match. People think it's easy to score when all you have to do is complete the finishing touches, seems they haven't watched Morata play before especially at Chelsea.

Ronaldo on and off the pitch is far better than Messi but the media propaganda always favor Messi. They just want him to be the best even when he has lost his magic. Ronaldo has duplicated his success in three different league plus continental competitions but what has Messi done? Been made a god in Barcelona. Without wasting anytime, I'll choose Ronaldo over Messi.
5791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 18, 2020, 05:57:15 AM
Are there people in this Bitcointalk forum who still go to traditional casinos instead of playing  through the vast number of online casinos that are available now?
It would be interesting to know.

Yes and I'm one of them, it's more enjoyable especially when you go in groups. Mostly visit them when we're going outing (with my peers) on special celebration like birthday parties or just Friday night outing. It would surprise you that they (physical casinos) still recieve huge patronize irrespective of the numerous online casinos presenting active and those popping up (launching) every day.

Replying to the OP,. When you say this time, were you referring to this trying times of Corona virus, well the highlighted tips aren't just useful in this Corona times, it's a tip that should be used everything. In most casinos, some of those rules are already highlighted and most especially just have fun rightly and leave to avoid regrets.
5792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some casino gambling tips. on: March 18, 2020, 05:44:39 AM
Casino gambling more entertaining compared to online gambling because we can really feel the ambiance of the building and we can assure ourselves that we are playing on a legitimate games.

Very true and no amount of innovation can take that away from physical casinos. when you engage with your follow humans it's more enjoyable based on the fact we humans are social creatures. The environment of the casino, what's is going on as you see fellow gamblers winning bets or losing, motivation you to continue gambling or discourages you from continue gambling which goes a long way to help prevent lossese.

In regards to your first tip, just limiting your budget isn't the only solution to control you're spending limit in casinos, you should also practice self discipline as the temptation of borrowing could come up just so you can continue gambling when you run out of fund, but you should be able to exercise self discipline and get over that feeling.
5793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is like day trading ? on: March 17, 2020, 06:47:53 AM
We know that day trading or short time trading is like playing with wild fire, not may can handle it. That's y most player's end up in loss and very few are successful day traders.
Is that hold true for gambling also?

Take some correction OP, Gambling isn't technically like trading, it's only like trading when you gamble with your trades (that's you pick random projects to trade with the hopes of it been profitable simply depending or relying on the luck factor as we do most times when gambling), that's the only time we can relate gambling and trading together. When you have equipped yourself with the necessary tools and skills needed to succeed as a trader then you'll understand the two industry aren't alike.

While a trader can duplicate his success multiple times and still be taught to other which if they follow his guidance are likely to receive similar or exact outcome, that can't be said about gambling as no two games are the same. People who think trading is like gambling end up quiting as the rate at which they lose discourages them to continue. Their early beginning might be profitable as that's just beginners luck although the deeper they go, the more they understand the difference between the two industry.
5794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: March 17, 2020, 06:34:36 AM
As we all know , Coronavirus has impacted each and every industry in the whole world and sports isn't an exception .

But the question is , is this the right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? The assumption I am making here is  that the gambling addicts are addicts on sports betting and not casino game addiction or poker .

I won't say this is the best time but it can serve as a building ground for your rehabilitation. You wanting to stop gambling now who be easier since the sport you gambled on aren't available so in most cases you have not be cured frwom the addition but just haven't been given an opportunity to gamble that's you're been restricted from gambling. In cases like this, thew individuals return back to gambling the moment their favorite sport games are back.

Addiction aren't like other disease that can be cured easily, especially when the substance or activity you're addicted to isn't easily available at the moment. To be assured of 100% rehabilitation, the substance should be present and your ability to resist the temptation of getting involved shows on effective your rehabilitation has been.
5795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 17, 2020, 06:23:09 AM
Gambling is everything especially for those what we called compulsive gamblers or those addict on gambling, but it made me realize, why they get so addicted in gambling? if

Gambling when abused is a disease and just like any other disease it's deadly. There's a spirit/force behind gambling which the zeal to keep winning or hopes of winning when you aren't are the driving force behind gamblers getting addicted to the act. When you engage in an activity for so long, it becomes a part of you and that's how getting addicted to gambling developes. Ones you gamble day in day out irrespective of you winning or losing, you automatically program your brain to see that activity as a part of you daily routine which it becomes difficult to stop.

To my understanding, getting addicted isn't an unconscious development as many presume it to be, as addiction isn't as a result of a one time involvement in an act be it drug or gambling addiction. It's a gradual process that takes time to become a part of the abuser and that's why to stop you'll have to undergo a gradual process too instead of just trying to force your way out of the addiction.
5796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and KYC on: March 17, 2020, 06:08:08 AM
I'm a bit curious here. Why is it easier (compared to exchanges, payment processors, etc.) to run a gambling site without being forced to implement KYC/AML?

Withing having an prior knowledge I'll go with an instinct answer of, since it's more easier to launch an online gambling site without any permission and staying completely anonymous, not been registered under any government body, than it has to be also easier to operate them without having to comply with the KYC/AML rules and regulations. The gambling industry is less regulated compared to the exchange industry, and since cryptocurrency exchange are more related to cryptocurrency than gambling sites using cryptocurrency as payment option, government officials are more interested in the affairs of the exchanges therefore more eyes are on them (the exchanges).

Gambling sites handle less funds compared to exchanges and they're not easily used to launder money when compared to exchanges too. Also when they're in charge of funds, they aren't held for a longer period since most games don't take that long to end and payout area made almost immediately.
5797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What To Do? (For People Who Mostly Gamble on NBA Games) on: March 17, 2020, 05:55:06 AM
So what do you do nex?,  now that NBA has canceled some of the games this season? Will you just also  get a hold of being a gambler for the meantime? Or try another sports?

Totally depends on what gambling is to the individuals been affected by the decision of the NBA governing body. Assuming you're just a fan who gamble for fun then obviously this decision will have less impact on you which means you can easily stop gambling and it won't be considered a loss.

But for the professional gamblers, those who gamble just because of the profit associated with the act and it serves as their means of survival. This set if individuals have no choice but to switch immediately to other sporting activity that they can bet on to earn extra cash.

A major disadvantage will be to those who are only equipped with just the necessary skills to succeed as a NBA gambler but aren't informed via the only sports that's why we're advice to widen our knowledge in regards to any area of interest we're engaged with.

5800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Preparing for the dip days as an investor on: March 15, 2020, 06:58:45 AM
To be honest, this present dip situation where all prices got low has taught me that, as an investor planning and waiting to buy the bottom of top crypto currency tokens, you need to have in store lots of tusd or usdt or stable coin to achieve that.

The rate at which to buy bitcoin from local fiat notes increased immensely during this dip, making it hard to buy btc or eth.
Who else noticed such occurrences?

Do you think, holding up stable coins as the proper way to prepare for an investment schedule??

I also noticed it, my local currency Naira rose as high as N520 per dollar, before it decline back to around N420- per dollars. Before this economy crash, it was trading around N350 - N370 per dollar. Your suggestion of holding your funds in stablecoin is a good one although knowing the project to patronize is where the problem is.

We have numerous stablecoin and there are still hundreds yet to be developed and dumped into the market. Most of the popular ones are associated with controversy and shady business operations which makes it difficult to trust their credibility.

The fear of them also performing an exit scam with Investors funds or them getting shutdown due to hack or government intervention, had been the major reason I have been much of a fan of most of the stablecoins out there especially USDT although it isn't a bad idea the OP has just recommended but be cautious.
