I think they may have changed their stance on this, as they do have options to create other pages for the keys you don't want/need. The LTC is only a collateral should the user not be able to repay the loan.
If a user needs the BTC desperately and knows that he/she can pay it back then there's no reason why they should sell their LTC for BTC only to later use the BTC and buy back the LTC.
