5781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous a red flag? on: March 30, 2021, 02:01:41 PM
It shouldn't be. Bitcoin was an anon project too. On the other hand, if you have to invest money of your own, I'd never trust an anonymous team.

I support anonymous projects but these never needed my money. If you want my money, you better tell me who you are and where you come from;) Not that this stops them from scamming!
5782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling company that did hit the jackpot during the pandemic. on: March 30, 2021, 12:47:46 PM
Sorry but it seems like a super shill article and 2019 earning $420 (did anyone else notice this) has nothing to do with the pandemic by the way;) Covid was first detected in late 2019 but only in 2020 did all the bookies close down because of corona.

I think a lot of online companies are doing really well in current conditions!
5783  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Mt. Gox and Bitcoin Exchanges: Did You Know? on: March 30, 2021, 12:15:49 PM
Um yeah:) We know about Mt Gox. And if you don't know about Mt Gox, then you really need to read up. They aren't the first and not the last, and for sure we will continue to read more and more about hacks and steals and scams.

But careful. Even in defi, keys are yours but code is not. Rug pulls also happen without your keys so I'd definitely not trust anything I don't understand or have no control over!
5784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: March 30, 2021, 10:46:18 AM
BTW, it was confirmed why Alonso had to retire. Sandwich wrapper stuck in his brake duct. Well, it's just ridiculous Cheesy.

In the old days you would not see such things my uncle who used to watch Ferrari all the time would tell me. Or you do that and you get fired and your whole family is shamed all the time. Now the guy responsible probably did not even get a word on his CV;)

But anyway, if NASA can have small issues like lizards on the pipeline then I suppose random rubbish stuck to the brake is not abnormal;)

Anyone got tips for F1 for me?Smiley
5785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: price action trading on: March 30, 2021, 10:10:14 AM
Hard to follow traders, I've learnt my lesson following my own picks in the ICO days or copytrading tactics as most professionaly would call it. It looks nice and works very well until the guy you're copying starts to make bad calls, as they eventually will.

It's not the best way to make money and for sure not the best way to destress. You have to keep watching in this game, and it always falls apart sooner or later:)
5786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, I should've bought bitcoin earlier! on: March 30, 2021, 08:40:03 AM
So, we all know that we are way too late for making profits like that, people are sad that they missed on that chance and we are never going to have that chance. It's true that if you buy bitcoin right now and wait until it is higher you could make money, but we are not going to make profits like we did back in the day, we ain't getting that 500x return type of stuff ever again.
You never know what the market will be next year, may be everyone gets a chance to invest again as majority are anticipating a major correction sometime this year and if that happens then everyone gets a chance once again to invest and then wait for the long haul till the market recovers again and since the market touched $60k we are almost certain we will touch those again Cheesy .

It's probably way too late to get x100 or whatever amount people want to get in Bitcoin. I mean, even buying now and seeing it go to 1 million dollars, if it ever does, is "only" 20x but that's really perfectly okay. It's still 20x more than what you'd get for anything else. Fiat guarantees you lose value over time, so even if Bitcoin only ever stores that value and preserves it, you still win!
5787  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-22 yahoo! - 'Bitcoin Winter' Could Last For Years After Price Hits $300k on: March 30, 2021, 08:03:45 AM
I watched a little bit of Bobby Lee before and I actually read some of his quotes from this article but sorry to say, it was a very poor piece. He was like explaining what a crypto winter was, and cycles in Bitcoin, and just looking very amateur with his predictions.

Not saying I could be better than him but you should expect more than moonboi readings from a professional timeslot like this. By the way, 90% price drop from $300,000 means we go the lowest at $30,000. How nice:)
5788  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 30, 2021, 05:51:53 AM
Nope, not the clubhouse although you can get some free spins there as well.
I received the free promo on my email - I receive them occasionally from various betting sites. They are either a reward for playing there or an incentive to log on if you haven't in a while.

Yup, 25 mbtc is like 500x more than I ever won on any free promos before Grin

Well done to you my friend! If you think about it, Sportsbet are just giving away such big amounts to their users on promos and free stuff. One Clubhouse reward at bronze level already equals all the free things another bookie gives me for an entire month maybe. But here you have every week comps for 1 or 2 mbtc which is winning $50 or $100 (more). 25 mbtc would get me a huge weekend holiday at the fanciest place I can think of:)
5789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa to embrace crypto by launching a pilot program on crypto payments on: March 30, 2021, 05:07:30 AM
It's old news though but yeah still good news. I mean you know already Coinbase is partnered with Visa since last year already so Visa is definitely deep diving into crypto (and Coinbase I believe was part of that pilot program along with many other blockchain companies already).

Why are we crediting Elon for this also now?Smiley
5790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Slippage madness? on: March 29, 2021, 03:43:58 PM
Based on the transaction it seem It did process your order but not sure whether its due to slippage. We all knew that slippage like uniswap changes the received tokens or sold from the original value we should received due to the higher set of it. But this could also change on the value of of the token price like bnb fluctuate that much? That's why the change of value happened. That's what I'm thinking plus the huge cut of the fee based on your usage slippage.

Strange. I also thought there is a max slippage limit allowed, maybe next time you need to find an aggregator that limits it by contract OR to view the contract before you approve (does the contract not show the max limit price you have?). I guess this is what v3 uni is going to really help in the future.

Maybe LIGHT just jumped when you authorized?
5791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If stock market starts to crater, should we switch to BTC or USD? on: March 29, 2021, 03:09:23 PM
You know people can panic in an unusual manner, ideally if the stock market start to go down people are suppose to find solace in btc but for some wired reason you will see even the price of btc going down because some panic sellers will rather sell off,
so it is better to have it 50 - 50% or 70 -30% on stabecoin and btc depending on your preference, and if you hodl alts at this time, you don't need to be told what to do Wink

You don't just switch to BTC when crypto markets fail, you of course as a trader just want to preserve wealth (and that's always in US dollar, sorry crypto traders but it's true isn't it).

If you're a crypto HOLDER then no question you always hodl BTC when times are turbulent. And you wait for the storm to die before venturing out again.
5792  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Aged Bitcoins Service / Premium? on: March 29, 2021, 01:52:01 PM
I honestly didn't realize people still paid such a premium for aged bitcoins. I mean, before yes, before the 2017 rally I kinda understood it, Mt Gox coins and hacked coins and illegal coins etc but now Bitcoin fungibility is the thing, and there is no such thing as 1 bitcoin is more/less worth than another.

Or can someone correct me?Smiley
5793  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 29, 2021, 01:10:05 PM
Same deal as lottery tickets, its a long shot for fun not any serious deal.    You arent quite 100% on this across the whole site, I would estimate if a person became an expert in some way on the sports and events betting and you seriously have a better estimation then the crowd then its not impossible you beat the average and return profits on such time invested.     Its still very tricky to rely on this in any serious way but some people have a gift in their judgement, many fail.

Yep, anything in gambling is a long shot when it comes to longterm gains so long as we keep reminding ourselves of this, we should all end up all right.

Sports you play to test your skill and maybe make some money but I think if you try to turn "pro" then eventually you become emotionally affected. Chasing the loss will always be an eventuality.
5794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bad week mojo lost on: March 29, 2021, 11:46:46 AM
Now I want to dust myself up and start again, learn from my mistake but I have lost my mojo with it all. Up til Wednesday I was on a winning streak and everything was going well but I dont trust myself now.
I put on a trade and if it falls by 20% (leveraged) I close the trade only for it to go back up.
I am looking for strategies or tools to try and figure out a better game plan with futures, I can see huge potential just need to get focused and try again

I'd be a lot more careful in the future if you're going to trade more and count yourself as functional only when you have "mojo". Trading is supposed to be boring and dry and dull my friend. If you need mojo to trade, then you're treating it more like gambling.

Take a break. And then go in again when you're ready. With money you're HAPPY to lose.
5795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: March 29, 2021, 11:08:04 AM
what do you think : are there also teams in the qualifiers that lose on purpose because they don't want to go to qatar?   Wink

This is just ridiculous. Why should anyone refuse to go to Qatar? If the COVID 19 pandemic is a reason, then it doesn't make any sense. The World Cup is still some one and half years away and the chances are that the pandemic will be under complete control by then. And World Cup is an event which occurs only once every 4 years. I don't think that anyone in a good state of mind would refuse a chance to take part in this event.

It's ridiculous I agree. Any sports professional who doesn't agree with what's going on in Qatar should just make their stand known and then boycott with the team or captain.

Besides. What happened in Brazil world cup was as bad if not worse and everyone still went to play. That is politics unfortunately, there is no team now I think that will refuse on principle of humanity.
5796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upcoming Market Prediction (Market heading for a great downfall) on: March 29, 2021, 09:45:46 AM
I do believe that we are not going to see constant increases forever, eventually things will go down, but just because they will go down doesn't mean that it will happen right now and doesn't mean that it will be 92% neither, we are going to see better results for sure. I am not a financial analyst or financial advisor so take my words with a grain of salt, but I am pretty sure 92% fall on big stocks is as impossible as it gets without bankrupting.

There's no such thing as forever rally and forever to infinity for sure. Once Bitcoin reaches real mainstream adoption then the explosive moon rallies will be a thing of the past. In fact many people are saying this is potentially the last huge rally we will ever see and every new cycle after this will be more like gold and oil getting new ATHs. What do you think?
5797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 29, 2021, 09:14:48 AM
Oh no, I missed it by ONE pick what a shame:)

Still would have to share it with 3 others so it would only have been 25 mbtc but that's still a hell of a big sum to win for something as easy to do with a cheap ticket as this.

Well done to ourselves for fame points and thanks again to you guys for putting all this together. So sorry I joined late:)
5798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is better then gf on: March 29, 2021, 07:33:22 AM
Dude, there is nothing that is cheaper than a gf, but wait til you turn her into a wife, then you will know the true heartpain;) But no sexist, bfs and husbands can be more expensive (not moneywise but in terms of emotional pain!).

The comparison here is btc is better than ANY other forms of money.
5799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HEX is your last chance at a 1000x crypto. on: March 29, 2021, 07:01:44 AM
The HEX token has been standing in one place for the last half a year. Why are there people who think that the token will give x100, I don't understand, this project is unique?

Actually a lot longer than that. It has been there for over a year if I'm not mistaken, if not even longer.

And it's unique as a smart contract type long term staking project (but some people say it's more like a ponzi). I don't really care which, it's got no utility and no long-term value so it's yeah, a ponzi there for the taking.
5800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the official uses of bitcoin other then trading? on: March 28, 2021, 02:48:05 PM
Will it only be used for investing/speculation as long as its price is this unstable? Can you imagine a normal acting like bitcoin does? I guess pink papers/penny  stocks do that but those are just legal pump and dumps that clog up your work fax with junk faxes that come through at 4:00AM making sure you will se it.

But I don't invest and I don't speculate, and I know for sure I must not be the only one not doing this. Yes I hodl but I also spend and earn in Bitcoin for many years as a supplement income to my normal day to day job. People do it more than me too as I can tell, and it's been successful for them.

Imagine running a business without needing Paypal approval as you can charge and bill in Bitcoin?
