585  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 02, 2018, 06:20:14 PM
As I see from posts Merits sell-buy or people simple begging  for that. Now I wonder will Merit will appear on exchangers and all those people who desire it so much will be able to buy it kinda oficcially?!  Cheesy

Don't you also see some of the members getting negative trust for trying to abuse the merit system. I think it makes finding alt accounts easier.

yup its great when you have a legit account for half a year... try to get merit then get negative trusted for "Farming merit"
love the new system already.... i didnt know asking for merit for legit posts then saying youd check other peoples legit posts would be farming or cheating

and i was 2 weeks away from senior member now ill have to wait many months to get the merit needed because nobody even sends more then 1 merit, for multiple good comments Cheesy
586  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 09:24:37 AM
now i have 11 merit and needs 100 for that... so i will have to wait how many time? 1 year?

why merit give was not proportional to the progress in the rank?

if i'm at 90% of the next level why i have'nt 90 merit (next level is 100)  instead of only 10 ?

Because now it is a new system where you have to earn a rank up rather than just spam enough posts to get it automatically. The arbitrary timing might feel a bit unfair but the system has changed and moaning will achieve nothing, so adapt and move on.

senior members + wont care, they already have the rank
its just a fact, so many higher ranks did the exact thing this system is supposed to stop. So why punish newer users?
I still think being demoted to basically a new Full Member again when ive been working towards Senior Member for months , now i need to work 150 merit points which could literally take 6+ months is extremely unfair... It may sound like complaining but its a valid point regardless of being positive or negative. People who were about to rank up shouldnt be punished, and i hope something can be fixed where the activity you were at youll have a set amount of merit.. If im 10 activity away from a rank i shouldnt have the same Merit as the person who just began that rank? But most likely nothing will be fixed at this point , and people at the higher ranks who were close to ranking up will be screwed over , hope this fixes a ton of spam and trolls on this forum because it causes a ton of negative for some users like myself, every thread has terrible posters, its part of the fun sifting through the trash to see the treasure

I'm calling it a night, but I thought it'd be nice to share a merit joke with everyone before leaving, just to make some of you smile.  Grin.

A man appears before St. Peter at the pearly gates. 'Have you ever done anything of particular merit?' St. Peter asks.

Well, I can think of one thing, the man offers. Once, on a trip to the Black Hills, out in South Dakota, I came upon a gang of high-testosterone bikers who were threatening a young woman. I directed them to leave her alone, but they wouldn't listen. So I approached the largest and most heavily tattooed biker. I smacked him on the head, kicked his bike over, ripped out his nose ring and threw it on the ground, and told him, Leave her alone now or you'll answer to me.

St. Peter was impressed. When did this happen?

Just a couple of minutes ago.

congratulations, that was the worst joke ive heard in 2018  Grin

Just saw this Merit change and think its a good idea to prevent spam posts.
But I am a bit confused... did I get 500 Merit as a Hero Member although I have an activity above 700?
Someone who just got Hero Member would get the same I guess although I have at least 50% higher activity.
Why didnt they use some kind of percentage progression?

exactly what im saying...

Can someone here kindly tell me how do I give a merit? I would also like to contribute to good posters in my way of saying thank you to the value they give and also the knowledge they impart to us on a daily basis. I do not know where the merit giving button is.  Smiley

click merit top right of somebodys post Smiley cheers gl
a new window will come and you can do it there, itll also say how much you can transferable
590  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 07:17:22 AM
no stress amigo... i like the system guidelines but i definitely think some tinkering is needed.. people thinking 100+ merits will be easy to come by is unreasonable... from full member to senior member is 150 merit points, it will be difficult to even get 1 day , 150 days almost half a year to just rank up from full member to senior member is very unrealistic IMO... i think the merit needed to rank up should be tinkered down a bit , but the basic principle behind this is a very good idea, of course when something is brand new theres room for improvement, i hope the admins look at the suggestions and do some changes Smiley

especially people who were very close to ranking up get screwed in this scenario, i think people who were closer to ranking up shouldve got more then the baseline merit points.... only makes sense , why would i get 100 merit points being 2 weeks away from Senior Member but somebody who just became Full Member this week is at the same spot as me now , when i was months ahead?Huh

Also helping newer members will give literally 0 merit because they have none to give, and higher ranks said they would scout the forums but theyll  realistically give like 1 merit when they see somebody helping once in a while.... so i help 15 people and get 1 merit??? Not very positive or enticing at all

There could still be other users that see your helpful reaction to a newbie user and give you merit for that, including the merit sources.

The amount of merit required is a bit stringent, but it does prevent people from "aging" accounts just for the purpose of selling.

In addition, as you can see in a lot of early posts, it is possible to get 10 or more merit from a single post.

i very highly doubt itll happen like that imo.... people will help newbies and newcomers with advice and probably get 1 merit every 10-20 times they give help.... to get 100 merit points it will take months... Imo i like the system but I think people that were about to rank up shouldve had more base Merit to start then people who just got the rank, only makes sense imo... A fair system wouldve been you get as much merit as your activity to start then you need the certain amount after that to rank up .... 150 merit when im 2 weeks away from senior member is very unfair imo, it will take like half a year when i was 14 days away, being a normal member on the forum.... im sure other people have the same thoughts, and all the people who are Hero member+ are happy because theyre already past that lol, I like how the forum is trying to change and improve no doubt but some tinkering should be made i think, well see what happens... or everybody should be given merit for a certain amount of posts that are over 100 words or something

then it will no longer be Jr. Member who will meet the thread of a Jr. because it is considered useless just doing activities that waste time and will not increase their Merit because they think not necessarily the source of merit roam the thread and will choose to frequently reply to the thread member indicated as a source merit with difficulty seeking their attention to be given 1 merit worth it. So in the end this forum is not just looking for money and partition to defend the world of crypto but also the arena to hunt merit. Cry Cry

I think that you can just find the bitcoin and/or crypto topics that are interesting to you, and provide thoughtful participation in those forum areas, and it is likely that your participatory contributions will become noticed by others who thereafter send you merit.

after watching the threads last 2 days , i think its going to be terrible for Full Members + it will literally take months to get 150 merit from Full Member to Senior Member..... i can post 10 helpful posts and at best ill get 1-2 Merit points.... so i have to send 10 helpful posts a day and hope to get 1-2 merit points..... going to take 6 months to even rank up when i was going to rank up in 3 weeks from activity being a normal member... really sucks, and all the Hero Members + dont care because they already have the clout/ account so it doesnt even matter to them.... I do agree these newbie accounts that just post broken english and trash posts are terrible... but imo id rather a warning system for being banned or something else other then this, hurts middle of the pack members who arent yet the high / elite ranks and dont have time to post 25 things a day to possibly get a couple merit points
593  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: January 26, 2018, 05:40:17 AM
I have 10 merits and I thought I could give out five. Yesterday I gave out one and today was going to give out one more but when I tried it said "You do not have enough sendable merit".  So I'm really confused about how much I'm allowed to send. Could I have sent five yesterday instead of one? I thought we could send half the total merits we held.

At any rate I think the merit system is AWESOME and should bring higher quality post to the forums. Genius idea!  Smiley

you can send half the smerits somebody sends you ... so say you send me 10 smerits i think id have 5 available to send after that....
click merit top right corner of my post and you can see how much you have transferable

I like this new ranking requirement.  It helps cleans up the forum.  I think many people will be stuck at Full Member rank permanently due to this change.

it is good , but it sucks for Full Members like me who are so close to Senior Member and dont just post junk... but oh well i guess its best for the community, just wondering how long it will take to get 250 merit when ill probably get 1 merit point for like 10 good replies of help......
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: January 26, 2018, 01:27:07 AM

598  Economy / Services / Re: 🚀[Twitter Campaign] [WEEKLY PAYMENT] [CFNP] 🚀LEGOLAS Exchange Fair & Secure on: January 25, 2018, 11:25:30 PM
due to high bitcoin fees id think it would be best for them to pay a flat fee at the end of campaign IMO....
i was paid week 1 but not week 2 , id think the fees are killing them tbh
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: best ICO to invest in on: January 25, 2018, 11:19:45 PM
some current ICOS im looking at... NEO ICOS are the big rave right now
APEX, NEX, ORBIS, VDT

check those out, APEX whitelist is already full but the other 3 are open still... NEO icos have some big hype coming in right now id suggest checking them out either on telegram, or online threads Smiley

ICOS are risky sometimes but if you get in super early like private sale/public you can get a way bigger ROI
Apex and nex are great choices.  But not sure with Orbis and vdt cause not much hype and didn't find star advisors or smng else with Star rating.

Apex and NEX are sure things imo...
Orbis is a risk because the team is so young , but the product itself is very advanced... its a risky investment but could be big if it hits IMO ... the telegram is starting to build up and they have a 40% private sale on now and 30% bonus on crowdsale which helps a bit for investors..
