I noticed yesterday until the miner's display it showed my miner had 2 hardware errors but when I went to the GPUs tab all of my six GPUs showed zero errors.  What's up with that?

So right now WhatToMine is showing I should be making $1 per day more with MUSIC than EXP but Awesome Miner is showing the opposite, I'm making $1 more with EXP.  I thought Awesome Miner got it's data from WhatToMine?  Why the discrepancy?

EDIT:  After three hours of running EXP it's clear I'm making more than I did with MUSIC.

How do you find out the current block number?

Just put -allcoins 1 in "Command Line", inside Properties.

Tried that many times, it just doesn't work.  Tried -allcoins 1 as well as allcoins 1.  It doesn't do anything.

EDIT:  I finally got it to work by putting ALLPOOLS in the Claymore section.  I know I tried ALLCOINS before and it didn't work.  Something strange going on there.

Ah ok it's the fork announcement.

Hash power is pouring into MUSIC in the last hour, up 11% already.

About when will block 1,200,000 happen?

u would have to calculate that yourself, every 16 seconds or so a block is found. multiply that by how many blocks left then divide that by how many seconds in a day.

About 30.5 days from now.

Is this coin still maintained?

It usually shows on whattomine.com, but there are not too many comments, movement on the forums, the website also doesn't look the best.

Are the developers active in the community?
I am working on new ethash mining pools and planning to add Soilcoin, Music, Ubiq maybe ETH and Expanse later too.

But I need to know if this coin won't die next month..
Anyone?

It's amazing how high on the WhatToMine list it's been holding, it's above all of the Equihash coins.

I would add Expanse before I added Soilcoin.  SOIL isn't even on Bittrex.  EXP market cap $24 million, SOIL $75,000.

Question:  my rig contains a mix of AMD and Nvidia.  I want to disable dual mining (DCR) on the Nvidia cards.  I figured if I entered the Claymore command line parameter -di 012 for the DCR pool that would work but it doesn't do anything.   Can I do what I want to do?
"-di 012" should disable GPUs in Claymore, but I don't think you can disable dual mining for nVidia only with a single Claymore miner instance. I think you need two, which translates into two Managed Miners in Awesome Miner. The first one for AMD and the second one for nVidia. Then you can configure them separately in terms of which pools to use, and for nVidia you can make sure it's only a single pool.

-dcri can be used to set per-card intensities.  I forgot about that.

I still can't get -allcoins 1 passed to Claymore from Awesome Miner.  I really don't understand, it just doesn't work.  I assume I'll have the same issue with -dcri but I need to try it.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Conclusion Sapphire RX580 with Hynix are not that bad. on: September 09, 2017, 05:01:34 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm fairly new into mining and I just want to share with you my experience with a Radeon RX 580 GPU paired with Hynix memory.

My card is a Sapphire RX 580 8GB Nitro+ Special Edition (blue card; dual bios, factory OC: GPU @ 1430MHz / Mem @ 2100MHz) with 1x 8-pin and 1x 6-pin power ports.

I'm currently mining ETH and Decred on Windows 10, AMD blockchain driver and using Claymore 10.0 dual miner.

Going with the stock bios this card got me around 15-16 Mh/s, while the OC version went up to 18 Mh/s.....a little disappointed as everybody else (from what I've read online) gets 24-25 Mh/s stock (correct me if I'm wrong here Smiley ). I overclocked the memories a little bit more and gained a max 20 MH/s, but temps went even higher ~74 degrees Celsius, fans louder and eventually memory errors started to show up in HWInfo.

Then I started do modify the stock non-OC bios with SRBPolaris V3 and changed the 1750, 2000 and 2100 straps from the Hynix section with this (found on anorak.tech):

    777000000000000022AA1C00B56A6D46C0551017BE8E060C006AE6000C081420EA8900AB0300000 01B162C31C0313F17

Now, running claymore with the GPU @ 1150Mhz / 950mV and mem @ 2250MHz / 950mV (values sent as parameters to claymore), the card gets me ~30.8 MH/s (ETH) + ~919.300 Mh/s (Decred), while drawing ~120 Watts (reported by GPU-Z). My system has been mining for 2 days straight with no GPU memory errors reported and temperatures are staying at ~55 degrees Celsius, fans 49%.

With all these mods done to the card I am quite satisfied with it and I'm planning on getting more Smiley

Sorry for the long post and I do hope that the above info will be of some help to people who have RX 580 GPUs with Hynix memory.

Cheers!

16 MH/s stock is insanely low.  I have two Sapphire 580 4GB (Hynix) and got 24 out of the box.  With Anorak's power save BIOS I get 27.x.  Not great but I haven't been able to get any more than that.  Anorak's memshift BIOSes were no better.  I'll try your posted clock value later, would love to get 30 even if it's a bit power hungry.

The price is popping in the last few hours, what is going on?  Someone pumping it?
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 570 on: September 09, 2017, 12:48:02 AM
Same here and i'm on simpleMining OS too with 25.8 MH/s per cards.

What bios setting did you use finally ?

Maybe we can't get more now, with the new DAG file gettings bigger and bigger

The new AMD blockchain driver solves the DAG file growth problem.

I'm trying to diagnose a pool configuration problem with Awesome Miner and Mining Pool Hub.  Is there any way to log or view what the actual full command line is that was used to be launch Claymore?
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: September 08, 2017, 05:31:56 PM
Is there any way to see the actual command line that is being used to launch Claymore Dual Miner?  I'm having a hard time configuring pools for Mining Pool Hub and it would be much easier to troubleshoot if I could see the command line.

I am unable to get any pool working with Mining Pool Hub.  It's complaining that I need to set -allcoins but no matter what I do I cannot seem to set that in the pool config.  What am I doing wrong?  Can anyone please post their Mining Pool Hub pool config so I can compare?

Just installed Awesome Miner 4, this is my first experience with it.  Like what I see so far, will make live much simpler.

I'm only getting 24.x MH/s with the Arorak memshift ROMs.  I get 27.x with the powersave ROM (and on less power too) so that's what I'm going with.  That's no better than my 570s and one of my 570s actually does 1 MH/s more.

I would definitely go with the Saphhire Nitro+ RX 580's if you don't have to wait too long to get them. The RX 580 has better dual mining performance, with 36 compute units compared to 32 for the RX 570. IMO, Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580's are also one of the best mining cards. They have very good cooling, a dual bios and run STABLE at 1115 MHz core clock and 2250 MHz memory overclock using Anorak's bios mod. I like the MSI RX GAMING X series cards, but the MSI RX 570 GAMING X 4GB is an entry level card with a cheaper build quality and no backplate.

I just bought two Sapphire RX 580 4GB Nitro+'s.  Dual BIOS means it has a switch, right?  I don't see a switch on mine.  Is it only the 8GBs that have the switch?

598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MSI Radeon RX 570 Gaming 4GB or Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 580 8GB on: September 08, 2017, 01:04:34 AM
The 570s are good cards, if you can get them I'd say go for it.  570s sell out much faster than 580s usually, that's why the last two cards I've scored are the 580s.  What does that tell you about miner preference?  The 570 should give you lower power use at the same hash rate, at least that's what I'm seeing.  Dual mining may change that.

I don't understand why with 36 compute units vs 32 the 580 doesn't do a better job at ETH-only mining vs the 570 (they perform basically the same).  Is Claymore deliberately not using those 4 extra units as an incentive to dual mine?  I think dual mining is a waste, especially now that SIA is way down in price but I will do some experimentation now that I have two 580s.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Have you ever had sent coins just never go through? on: September 06, 2017, 11:21:14 PM
So I've had .0335 ETC stuck in cyberspace for five days and I'm thinking its never going to go through.  First time I've ever had that happen and it shakes my confidence in ETC.  What would cause this to happen?  It's a Bittrex wallet, is there anything they can do?  I've used the address before so I know it works.
