581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know whether its your lucky day? on: August 15, 2017, 05:55:46 AM
Was just playing dice and roll my winnings as i thought its my lucky day because I won the first roll. Realized after several games that I lose more than the amount I can afford to lose for a day.
I could have avoided it if I wasn't just too eager get a jackpot, of course who knew it wasn't my lucky day when my lucky calendar says "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."  Smiley and its new year!

so how do you guys test whether is your lucky day or not?

Just like you said, you felt lucky when you won. A lot of us thinks that we are lucky when something good happens to us especially when it comes to financial. Nobody can tell if it's a lucky day because it is only our perception on how we look at things that happens to us.

this month has been especially hard, i cant sleep due to the anxiety that i have this is m second night i havent slept.
What are some ways i can relieve this..

That is very serious bro. Have you tried taking a therapy session? Some people that I know bought sleeping pills just to make them sleep. I am sure you are strong and you can pass this through.
586  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are your strategies to make money in cryptocurrency? Heres mine: on: August 08, 2017, 07:00:37 AM
Currently, the last few days have shown that Bitcoin is currently in one of its most stable periods ever.
The price has stayed relatively the same for around a week after the minor dip.

So, without volatility how else do you make money?

I'm thinking of investing in loads of altcoins that have gone down in value significantly (over 50%) - Altcoins seem to be a lot more volatile so I'm hoping that they will bounce back and go up in price substantially.

Hence, why I am investing in so many (albeit with only minor amounts in each one). I am hoping that just one of them will go up in value and pay off all of the other investments that I had made, plus a hefty profit.

Is this a stupid strategy or is it genius?

I based it off Charlie Geller and Jamie Shipley's strategy in the movie 'The Big Short' (They managed to turn $100,000 into $30 million after five years). They invested in unlikely opportunities that were significantly undervalued because people thought that they were much less likely to happen than they actually were. So most of the time they were wrong, and lost their investment, but... when they were right, it paid off big time.

That's a good inspiration so that means you are prepaid to lose too much. But on the other hand, you did right thing because most of the altcoins pump dramatically so I hope you picked the right coin.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First buy on: August 08, 2017, 06:52:42 AM
Hello,

I am watching this forum for a few weeks now and I think I am ready to buy my first coins for €3000,-.

- Waves 50%
- Stratis 30%
- Antshares 20%

I want to buy these for the long term (>3 years).

How do you guys think of this combination. And... is today a good day to start?

Thanks

Antshares had a big pump on the previous month while waves and stratis are becoming stagnant. They are all good coins but I think you really need to have a big patience because these coins might take years to have a crazy pump.
588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I start investing in cryptocurrency? on: August 08, 2017, 06:43:13 AM
I prefer to invest in coins that have 400-1000% last 3-6 month. And they have good wallet.
Also some percent of my assets is coins on eth Smiley

But this is Risky as well who knows if thy continue to grow like this...

After a 1000% pump, you might just as well be on the receiving end of a dump. I would be very carefull.

Correct. You are just going to be a bagholder of an altcoin for a long time. It's not a smart move buying coins that already pumped. Maybe try buying altcoin with low values that has the potential to rise.
589  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: August 08, 2017, 02:32:38 AM
The best investment strategy is that you need to have a lot of investments. It means while you are investing and holding bitcoin then you need to have trading investments too. Just buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: August 08, 2017, 02:24:25 AM
It  will not happen soon but maybe on a long term. The bitcoin is also depending on the dollar these days. There is also another downside if that happens because the dollar is used a lot by average people and also the banks will not let this happen.

I also wanted to know, too. I hope someone would educate us and give us the real answer on your question. I'm guessing that it started to get popular when it was listed on exchanges.
593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Practice trading on: August 07, 2017, 07:24:37 AM
Hello im newbie and i dont have any experience as a trader. Can you discuss some solutions for my problem?

In my experience, I found someone who is an experienced trader and ask him a lot of questions and he always entertained it. After that he became my mentor, it makes that easy for me to start trading because I know that those other information about trading are too long to read. He taught me the easiest way and tricks that he knew. He also gave me a lot of tips so try finding a good mentor.
594  Economy / Economics / Re: Money above all things, Yes or no ? on: August 07, 2017, 07:18:24 AM
I can see that people nowadays are busy searching on money and everything depends on money. People nowadays never go to church just because they would rather earn money rather than praise God. Others do not pay respect to elders  because they earn money for them or richer than them. Well for you, is money above all things ?

I can't blame them. Like as parents, they need to ensure that their children have food on their plate. As a regular employee, you want to buy things that you want. It might sound negative for others but God will always be there but unlike money you need to work for it to have it.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason that keeps me from investing in bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 07:01:55 AM
Hello everybody.

I would like to invest some money in bitcoin, I don't use that money and I don't need it for the next 2/3 years.
I thought I found in bitcoin the perfect way to invest. BUT when I see the fees applied I don't see how the bitcoin will become mainstream! The fees are around 1mBTC which is approximatively 3$. Therefore what is the point of bitcoin?

The only thing I see : big amount transaction

But bitcoin won't be the money you use to buy your sandwich with those fees!

I saw a post saying: yeah burger king is willing to accept bitcoin in russia. Hopefully mcdonald will follow ! But why would someone pay 3$ fee therefore a third of his burger king menu in fee?

Will segwit may lower the fees?

Thank you Smiley

You should practice using fiat when only buying a small amount of goods and use only bitcoin when it's a little expensive or much more than that. There's always a way if you think about it.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin remains strong despite the fork. on: August 07, 2017, 06:51:29 AM
Bitcoin price still remains strong and has grown significantly throughout the weekend despite the hard fork.
Though coin transaction fee's from local to international wallets are still at high. Many investors, miners and developers are still using the old Bitcoin. Will developers fix the ever slowing and expensive transaction fee's from the old blockchain or just  try to attract old bitcoin users to jump to the Bitcoin Cash blockchain? BTC

Indeed, due to most of the bitcoin community gave their 100% support into unto it. That's why bitcoin all of a sudden increased after
august 1st has been done. This shows only that many of the users really loved bitcoin Wink

Looks like bitcoin shows that the harder it gets , the more it resist. It's not going down no matter what they do. They are all just propaganda trying to bring us all down. Just keep on holding guys. Bitcoin is LIFE.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be THE Bitcoin on: August 07, 2017, 06:26:45 AM
In my opinion Bitcoin will always be THE Bitcoin because for the alt coins to succeed, then bitcoin must succeed. I feel that if bitcoin fails, it will take the alts with it. As far as Bitcoin Cash is concerned it will likely survive but will always be an alt.

Let's all hope and pray that this will not lead to a major problem. I feel that this bitcoincash really annoys majority of the bitcoin world. Bitcoin will always win because I know that before it achieves the triumph, it must first overcome all challenges.
