It took me a while to understand what you are talking about. I even went to that post by JollyGood and put him on my ignore list just to see what exactly you mean. Don't worry JollyGood, you are off the list now. BitcoinGirl.Club is right. If someone is on your ignore list, clicking the "Show/Hide" button allows you to see one line of text (or between two lines) only. Scrolling up and down doesn't really help much. By option I hope! Or else I could not have typed this... The suggestion is only for users you have ignored. But I wouldn't want to get rid of the quote button either.

Zbog slackoviceve neozbiljnosti tonemo sve dublje i dublje i približavamo se donjem dijelu tabele za lokalne boardove. Smiju nam se ljudi. Nije uredu slacko, stvarno nije uredu. Krajnje je vrijeme da otvorimo temu u Reputation sekciji protiv slackovica dok nas skroz ne uništi.

Why couldn't Trezor create metal Safe 3 instead of Model One? Because they are celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the release of the Trezor Model One. That particular model is 10 years old, not Safe 3. Warning for the 3 lucky winners of the metal Model One prize: don't even think about crossing the border/customs control with this device in your pocket - metal detectors will react. Of course not. It's nothing different from the metal coins you have, your belt, watch, and anything else you have with you. And if you are in the United States, be ready to take off your shoes. The customs officers have foot fetishes.

Prime Day is over but I didn't want to create a new thread just for this. It's been 10 years since Trezor released its first ever hardware wallet. To celebrate the occasion, the company is giving away 3 metallic Trezor Model One hardware wallets! This limited edition model can be an interesting collectible for those who like that kind of thing. The giveaway is on X and requires the following: - Follow Trezor on X. - Retweet this post and tag two friends in your RT. A winner will be announced on 6 August. Link to the giveaway: https://x.com/Trezor/status/1818279278481440818

While this might work efficiently for PC/laptops/desktops, the case is different when it comes to iPads/notepads/mobile devices. You still get to scroll manually to where you need be. If you are using a mobile device, a fast swipe upwards will get you to the bottom of the page very quickly. A quick swipe downwards gets you back up to the top of the page. Considering that the posting and quoting experience on a mobile device isn't user-friendly and that's what you are supposed to use it for most of the time, these two buttons being at the top or the bottom of the page won't make things any better.

If you work in the affiliate marketing industry for online casinos, it's in your interest to make the review sound as positive as possible and point out what is good instead of what is bad. After all, you want those clicks, and the affiliate earnings that result from them. Many review sites operate like that. They want you to register an account through their referral links. If the review is negative and talks about how bad the casino is in this and that, you are not going to sign up, will you?
Because it's difficult to find negative reviews and it's mostly positive, I wouldn't trust that the reviewers are completely honest. Another thing: you might occasionally find bad ratings and negative reviews for certain casinos. But those could be the result of that particular casino failing to pay the reviewer their referral earnings and the negative review is their payback. Again, you can't trust that either.

...it appears that there's no difference between the BTC edition of Flex and the normal one [apart from its color (SMH)]! To be honest, that's not unusual. Let's not forget that Trezor had a limited edition Bitcoin-only version of their hardware wallet not that long ago. The difference between that model and the others were in the orange bitcoin cover. However, you can install a bitcoin-only firmware on a Trezor regardless of which model you purchase. On a side note, you could build DIY Jade (based on Blockstream Jade[2]) which cost less[3] if you don't mind less feature. Even a fully assembled Jade is affordable and costs less than $60 with a discount code. But I understand the logic in purchasing the parts yourself and building everything from scratch. After the Recover debacle, there were still so many people who just shrugged their shoulders and kept using their wallets.
If that waiting list is to be believed, then my point is proved. I am sure that 2/10 people who are on that waiting list have an idea of what you are talking about when you say Ledger Recover debacle. Even less would be able to explain what Ledger Recover does. What they know is that it's this cool new thing that Ledger created for us and they said it's super safe. i know it's not recommended but i was looking at ledgers on ebay. but they claimed they were "new". Never buy hardware wallets on eBay, new or second-hand. Visit the official shop or use an official reseller for such devices. Trying to save a few bucks only to risk getting a faulty or manipulated HW isn't worth it.

No, everyone doesn't. We do, but most of their customers probably have no clue. As the old saying goes, " don't trust, verify." We live in an age where it has become mandatory to check all claims and promises. Yes, I know. But it is intentionally misleading, and they know it. They're printing intentionally misleading information on their boxes to trick people into thinking the device in the box runs on code that is open source, or worse, trick people into thinking the device in the box and the code for that device is 100% open source, none of which is true. Of course it's intentional. Most marketing nowadays is bullshit and completely misleading. Have you ever checked the ingredients of a protein bar that is supposed to be a healthy alternative for athletes who want to build muscles or lose weight? It's full of sugar and sugar replacement substances, but the packaging shows you lean bodies with no body fat. If you have money, you can get away with anything. Ledger has money. Even fines are acceptable because they are usually way lower than what you earn from selling your products and/or services.

You have been here only 9 years. I think it's too early for you! Give it some more time until you gather the needed experience. Having said that, yes, you should definitely get a promotion and become a merit source. Several quality forum users are waiting for a "Yes" from theymos, and you are one of them. Good luck with the application!

For example I see many exhcnages adding support for USDC as it is now one of the few stablecoins allowed in Europe (like it or not). USDC is the second most popular stablecoin, and providing support for it makes sense if you are running an exchange service. But the point is the following: Adding support for USDC on Hedera and Flow and not doing it for Ethereum, Solana, and/or Arbitrum ( https://www.circle.com/en/multi-chain-usdc) would be a weird business decision. You would be neglecting that which is the most popular in the community to support something that is least used.

I guess it depends on the reasons for the ban. If the account of a service representative got banned for plagiarism, then their personal account(s) should also be banned. If the ban was issued because the service itself and its existence on the forum is against the rules, I think it's going to be a ban on both the person running the account and the service.
It gets complicated, though. An account of a service banned for plagiarism could return and say, we fired Larry, the old forum representative because he didn't respect the rules, but now we are back with Mark, who will make sure to not commit the same or other infractions. How would theymos and the admins know this is true and why would they care even if it is?
@Upgrade00 PM theymos and ask him directly. I am sure he will reply back to shed some light on it.

Just a small contribution to the discussion about the feature request to add stablecoins with lower fees:
Some options which weren't discussed here still are USDC on Stellar and USDT on TON (The Open Network, the "Telegram chain"). Nothing against your suggestions, but I see no logic in adding support for blockchains and their tokens on stellar or TON if they replied negatively to adding USDT over Tron, which is the 1st or 2nd most popular blockchain for the tether stablecoin. Unless those two networks are starting to dominate compared to the TRC20 version of USDT in terms of trading volume, why provide support for something from the bottom of the popularity list?!

Some Ledger devices come in packaging that says "WE ARE OPEN SOURCE," which is intentionally misleading if not outright fraud since the device runs closed source firmware. I think all of their devices are shipped in boxes that contain similar claims of open-source. My old Nano S box also says "open-source and developer-friendly". Everyone knows that their firmware releases are closed-source. The open-source claims are misleading, but they refer to Ledger's app development porta - the native and 3rd-party crypto apps. Those are open-source. Developers of other coins and tokens can submit open-source apps that will eventually find their way to Ledger's app manager if accepted. Of course, Ledger is playing word games here, making it sound that each part of their architecture is open-source. If someone were to question them about it, they can always say what I just said: we were talking about our crypt apps, the development portal, and/or Ledger Live.

Any chance you might consider adding support for DOGE? bitmover suggested adding support for dogecoin back in January, but we didn't get a direct response from the eXch team for that particular asset. Considering that all other suggestions for adding new coins/tokens and new blockchains haven't been successful, I doubt things will be different for dogecoin.

I don't like the way the pages look when the headers shrink. I kind of feel naked without it. I am used to seeing my avatar in the top left. It also removes the Watchlist, a feature I often use to check for new replies in my own threads and posts in discussions I have previously participated in that are of interest to me.

I must confess I admire and commend your work @BlackHatCoiner for bringing up this great idea or initiative to the BTT forum community, as this shows that you have good plans for the forum. I believe after much work on this Bitcointalk quote, it will be used as a search engine to discover people's important quotes to use them as a reference to an ongoing discussion instead of searching out of the forum which leads to most plagiarism. You don't need quotes from the past to participate in a discussion in the present. Very few people communicate that way. But seeing your post made me think of a search feature that BlackHatCoiner could perhaps introduce. @BlackHatCoiner Let's say I wanted to see all quotes from your website with a specific keyword or multiple words, would you be able to make that happen? I enter "third party", or "fork", etc., and all quotes that include that/those word(s) would pop up on screen.
