581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if USA and China made bitcoin legal tomorrow? on: February 27, 2018, 11:41:36 PM
I made a mistake initially, which i corrected later, but i have seen that my mistake will serve as a basis for some of us to learn a lot over here but not me alone. @gotminer,@mast3rm1nd etc. Thanks for the education.

Not a problem.  Check out some of the beginner crypto podcasts.  There are a ton of them out there and they helped me out a lot when I was trying to wrap my mind around a lot of the terminology that I didn't understand.  Crypto 101 is a pretty good one.

then you would have start ups with crazy ideas coming up on every corner. 90% of the time it will be a scam of some sort.

Exactly.  That's why treating ICO's as registered securities is a good idea.  In general, it's going to make a person think twice about starting an ICO will the sole purpose of stealing investor funds.

In the United States, the Securities and Exchange Commission is starting to come down hard on these thieving bastards.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if USA and China made bitcoin legal tomorrow? on: February 27, 2018, 09:51:35 PM
it would be great for the whole community as there for sure would be so many newcomers and the demand would rise so much resulting in the rise of their value.

I think you know about as little as the OP does, if you're in the camp that believes the USA or China has outlawed BTC.  Why is there so much mis-information out there.  You both are extremely confused.
584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Blockchain Technology? on: February 27, 2018, 09:49:39 PM
That's one lazy mother fucker right there ... Lol.  In the United States, we call it "plagiarism" when one takes written content from another person and attempts to pass it off as their own.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if USA and China made bitcoin legal tomorrow? on: February 27, 2018, 09:45:14 PM
We cannot say they will make it legal or illegal. They can do regulations. If we have good news of course, price of bitcoin will rise significantly. At least some countries will create their own cryptocurrencies. But these coins should obey to Bitcoin as well Smiley

Well in the United States, our regulators are not looking to ban Bitcoin or any other crypto currency for that mater.  However, they do wish to regulate it in order to weed out all of the scammers and punish those for stealing from others.

This is a good thing.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if USA and China made bitcoin legal tomorrow? on: February 27, 2018, 09:43:07 PM
What if you woke up tomorrow to realize USA and China decided to make bitcoin legal, what would have been your emotions, and what price would bitcoin attain within the next 1 week?

It isn't illegal in the USA or China, so I'm not sure what you're smoking over there.
Most ICOs restrict participants from these countries. Maybe i didnt get the concept clearly. To me i thought it was virtually the same.

You should get back to your studies young lad.  You have a lot of learning to do and a wealth of information at your fingertips.

Sorry, but BTC (Bitcoin) is a currency.  An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) is a way of raising investor money for a new project, coin, currency, ect.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if USA and China made bitcoin legal tomorrow? on: February 27, 2018, 09:38:59 PM
What are you guys even talking about?  BTC is not illegal in China.  And it sure as hell is not illegal in the USA.

589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Commercial Mining Farm Banking Issue on: February 27, 2018, 04:05:05 PM
Lol i didnt even know banks offered lending to crypto mining startups?! Where i live u gotta bank it urself. Why would a bank take a risk like that? Its not very smart. And their bottom line is all about profits, but i guess this shows that we are back to square one again and 2008 will happen soon again.  Grin

Yeah that's a little crazy that a bank would lend money for a mining startup.  Maybe the ones that do just have no idea what they're getting themselves into.
590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HOW TO MINING USING CP?? on: February 27, 2018, 03:16:04 AM
WHAT? Just take the casing (NO, NOT THE FUCKING CASE) off of your phone and put a 20 inch box fan on it.  Should be fine ... Lol.  I think it would last a little while like that.  Screen puts off a lot of heat, so I would remove that too. Lol.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are people so negative about mining? Stop it... on: February 27, 2018, 03:08:41 AM
Cause people are stupid, paying $1000 for a rx 580 is beyond stupid, they will never get their money back and resellers will keep the price high cause there are idiots paying what they want.

I paid $1000 for my water cooled 1080ti with a 4 year warranty... im glad i dont have to worry until the year 2022.....

bitcoin needs to go over $17,000 to indicate a bull market so HODL

Oh Cool.  Which charts and which ta indicators are you using on those charts to come to that conclusion?

No conclusion btc just will over time right now there holding stable at about 10 k  once they start back up . btc may stop at 21k then back down an hold at 17 k for a while ,I don't want BTC going up to fast and getting to much attention from the GOV but that's how i see it ...beside 10k isn't to bad.  as far as being negative about mining, i tend to agree with most it trolls and those who don't like sharing it's the greedy ones.

That wasn't a question posed to you or anyone else other than ... Digital Drug Lord who stated 17K btc indicates a bull market.  When does 17K indicate that?  And based on what charting?  He posted no charting.  ZERO ... Last week when he said the same thing, or today, and based on what? Lol.  Numbers just thrown out the ass based on something he heard and he thinks it doesn't change, day by day.  Nothing more.  That's all I meant.

As far as people just wanting to keep people out of mining ... In the case of the very shitty outlook that Metroid (I like him more and more as he has became way less of an asshole) has, I don't think he is wrong in saying that people should not be spending 1K on a RX 580 ... Personally, I wouldn't pay 1K for a 1080ti.  If I were buying gpu's right now, I wouldn't buy anything less than a 1080ti, but I certainly wouldn't pay 1k for them.  I wouldn't buy a 1080ti at MSRP right now (partially, because I already have several of them) But ... We're too close to something better coming along to start buying up the last few at high price points, in my opinion.

Bottom line is that if you're just getting into gpu mining in Jan/Feb of 2018, you're kinda fucking yourself as opposed to watching and waiting, unless you're getting the deals that are not advertised on any retailer website for gpu's.  That isn't to say that you'll never make your money back.  But ... You should be mining and holding for better days.  Mining for daily cashouts was only a thing for a very short peroid of time.  Those days may come back, but they won't last ... Just as they didn't last this past time.

You'll probably make more money by selling the used phone on eBay than you will mining with it, before it dies out on you.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How coming ethereum PoS hard fork will impact profit of miners? on: February 25, 2018, 09:20:56 PM

WHEN THAT HAPPENS though, profitability on ALL GPU-mineable altcoins is going to collapse as all of the ETH POW GPUs (some MILLIONS of them now) look for new homes.

Lol man, this wont happen. Since they will deploy their PoS in batches, starting at 99% PoW the hashrate will slowly decrease over time, meaning other coins wont get a sudden influx of hashrate. It will increase over time. Another thing is that the amount of hashpower a coin has to secure its blockchain is a fundation for the price. Higher hashrate = Higher price since its more secure.

The plan is 99/1 split, test the POS stuff, then move to full POS, per my understanding of posts from the devs about the planning.
There is no "gradual shift" planned like you are talking about.

Is the testnet even working yet?
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How can I make my own shitcoin? on: February 25, 2018, 09:19:33 PM
Take a shit, collect, take a pic, call it a coin, sell it on ebay.

597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am underage and having extreme difficulty buying Bitcoin. Help a kid out! on: February 25, 2018, 09:19:01 PM
Ask your guardians to help you out in this matter.

Read the entire thread.  Previously suggested with explaination from OP!
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS : Bank of America and JP Morgan Are banning CC purchases on: February 25, 2018, 09:15:54 PM
I believe it was only credit card purchases that were banned because of uncleared regulation. It was not that the banks don't allow purchases in general. It's better to get the facts straight.

Yes, that was the case in the United States.
599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much is 1 bitcoin worth? on: February 24, 2018, 11:53:01 PM
I think it is will touch 2million by end of march

The market cap or the coin price? Lol.

I don't think exhcange crashes during massive price moments are accidental, but I don't think the exchanges are doing it on purpose either.  I would guess it's more of an infrastructure problem than anything else.  None were ready for the growth that crypto markets saw in 2017.
