581  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Universities promote violence on: December 01, 2022, 08:19:25 PM
Universities promote violence. I know. I was a professor. Universities have promoted violence against me. I have a Ph.D. in mathematics.  Until universities apologize for promoting violence, I will always treat all graduates from all universities as violent sociopaths who have absolutely no place in decent society and who need to be locked up. If you have a degree from a university, then I have no choice to consider you as a worthless scumbag who hates life and just wants to harm others!

-Joseph Van Name Ph.D.

Creator of Circcash
Just because this person went into some 3rd class university that promoted violence doesn't means all the universities do that, Also just because universities of a specific country to do so doesn't means all countries do so. Also, he himself is a Ph.D. in Mathematics I am sure he must not have got his degree of Ph.D. by sitting at home. Or does he considers himself a worthless scumbag as well? I sometimes feel that the people who go so much in depth of subjects like mathematics and Physics really create a world of their own and anywhere who does not adjusts to that world is a scumbag.
582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 01, 2022, 08:09:08 PM
We know that the market is dynamic,as in it changes constantly, and as such,an investor who isn't careful enough to know when he is investing will fall in to heart problems or emotional trauma as a result of a massive fall in value, that is why it is important to condition your mind in a way that you won't get heart failure when you are at the loosing end.
Every investor knows there is risk in the game, and taking the risk is what shows you are ready to eradicate poverty from your life.
There are just two options in such scenarios, one is that you forget everything trust your research and instinct and let your portfolio flow on itself, eventually when the bull run will come to this heart problem of yours is going to change into crazy adrenaline rushes seeing your portfolio green every day. The other option of course is to sell everything, this I would recommend only if you are part of the damage, for eg. you held FTX during it's crash or maybe you were having funds on FTX when the crash happened, only in such scenarios you should panic sell everything and move ahead with whatever is left in your portfolio.
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the eyes of Sam himself, he is so innocent on: December 01, 2022, 06:25:34 PM
Exactly, even based on his tweets that I saw where he said that FTX US is still solvent it's looking as if he has saved FTX US from all this but actually he has destroyed FTX altogether due to his illegal handling of funds of people. I think by saving FTX US he might have saved himself from being tried in the US at least. Now he will be tried in some other country where the laws might be comparatively lenient. He and his PR are trying to act as if all this was just a glitch and it fell like house of cards and they are victim of this as well.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: The Economist: 335000 people could "freeze to death" in Europe on: November 27, 2022, 07:32:53 PM
Very good point here. Heating homes and workplaces is very essential for the whole Europe and is infact the thing for which energy is consumed the most with Russia blocking most of the country energy exports due to the ongoing war this is really bound to happen. I don't know what would actually open NATO's eyes and they would eventually stop all this. After this many months I have surely come to know one thing that Russia doesn't wants to Annex and Rule Ukraine it's just wants it's political influence in the region to be supreme and safe from NATO.

I also thought that Sri Lanka will win today's match and tie the series. But the match is getting delayed due to rain. Sri Lanka collected 10 runs without losing any wicket in 2.4 overs. There is no guarantee when the match will resume. Sri Lanka were defeated in the last match due to the stupidity of their batsmen. Sri Lanka would have won the last match if the batsmen could have batted responsibly. The target is not big in today's match. If the Sri Lankan batsmen bat responsibly and stay at the crease then Sri Lanka will win this match.
It should be an easy match for Sri Lanka to win and level the series if the rain would stay away for a few hours but unfortunately the report is not great as it is raining heavily and it is possible that the match would be abandoned just like the New Zealand India ODI. If they abandoned the match then Afghanistan will level the series or most probably win the series as there is only one match left in this series and it will be an historic win for them  Grin.
Rain has become a major hindrance for playing cricket. Qualified teams unable to secure victory due to rain. There is a need to amend the rain law, in my opinion, ICC needs to think about whether something can be changed in the extra day if it rains.
Just out of curiosity i want to ask you guys what do you think about covered criket stadiums? Is there a possibility that these could be the future? I understand that permanently covered stadiums are obviously not practical as pitches need a lot of sunlight for preparation. But some sort of infrastructure where the sheds can be opened and closed. This obviously will be pretty costly but would be worth the cost for sure.
586  Local / India / Re: is cryptocurrency being used to radicalize youth? on: November 27, 2022, 03:34:39 PM
I agree it's convenient for terorists to transact in crypto as they have less chance to get caught but eventually to get real money they have to sell it in fiat, where you can still find them.
How so?  Cryptocurrency history is immutable and transparent.  Only exception for now is Monero.  How do they have less chances to get caught if every transaction they make is public?  Is it more likely to get caught handing somebody a bag of cash?

Monero is one big exception which is used by them. Also even for the rest of the Cryptos the trail can be established but it's still psuedononymous you cannot predict or find the owner of the address just by looking at the address. so if there is not fiat conversion it's hard to catch them, these people may also use mixers to break the established trail of the Cryptos. So obviously it's not that easy to catch them.
587  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: November 27, 2022, 03:30:50 PM
This is cyclical. These aren't 2020 prices actually these are more of 2019 prices when bitcoin almost went to rock bottom of that previous cycle. The same thing is happening right now with bitcoin in this cycle. Lucky for you that you sold at the right time and yes you are once again back in the market at the very right time if you wish to enter again. You might not find such low prices any time again, just compare this with 3-4k lows of the previous cycle.
588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rainbow Indicator drop on all time low on: November 26, 2022, 07:31:41 PM

This is the most bullish and many Bitcoin trader believer is relying on this chart for there personal belief. Now that its on verge of destroying the long time pattern, What so you think will gonna happened on Bitcoin price once this extreme bearish signal finally confirmed.

Even pandemic didn’t make it to destroy this pattern before. We might see another lows in case this pattern becomes invalid since many traders is looking on this and holding on for a long time as TA is a self fulfilling prophecy.

Keep safe and I hope it will bounce.
I don't know why I feel that things are going to be slightly different this time. This has happened a lot of times that bitcoin has followed this cyclical movement, these things tend to stop happening after a point as a lot of people are anticipating it and the market makers will do things which they don't want people to anticipate and not the ones they think people would easily find as a pattern. Only if these patterns will break people will feel bitcoin might end and this gives them a chance to fill their bags and accumulate.
589  Local / India / Re: What are options left other then Bounties? Any indian here who is earning crypto on: November 26, 2022, 07:05:44 PM
I was into crytpo from early stages but due to some reason i didn't in it regularly. On 2018 i earned alot from bounties. But now when i am looking into current situations of market i assume if still bounties are good in 2022, or if new market has some more options in crypto. How my indian brothers are doing here.

Back in 2018 it was like nice opportunity i guess it is not as like that time but still it must be a great option. What is your situation?? Old and new friends, and what is your perspective looking into the job market of india, if bounties still reliable
Forum has changed a lot lately from 2018 to 2022. It has become pretty organized even though the engagement is still not that high but the spammy bounty hunters are nowhere to be seen now. Best way to get some money is have some good skills, either be a quality poster and go for some signature campaigns to make sure you post regularly. Or sell some social media skill on the platform as well. Don't expect to just retweet and get money as it used to be in 2018.
590  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What does Proof of Reserves mean and... on: November 26, 2022, 07:02:31 PM
how will it affect anyone's decision to invest in crypto?

Proof of Reserves
Also known as Proof of Funds, Proof-of-reserves is a way to allow customers to monitor the balances of an exchange.1

This is an important step for the exchanges in order to keep their customers ' and investors' faith alive in crypto. This will make lots of things transparent about many crypto exchanges and will also weed out various bad actors who had been hiding their deeds since long time.

What is your take on this as an investor in crypto?
Will it add any impact on your decision to get into crypto or stay away from it?

1. Source
Very very important i am really ready to put my money in a project which is about to bring upon this change in the industry. To create a sort of dashboard API to regularly monitor this thing for people. This might be a nightmare for exchanges but after the case of FTX it's more like a necessity for us. I think this will transfer the burden on the exchanges to make sure they keep user's funds not only in appropriate amounts but also in appropriate asset type.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two arrested in massive $575m cryptocurrency 'Ponzi scheme' on: November 26, 2022, 06:59:33 PM
Two Estonian men were arrested yesterday for their alleged roles in running a series of cryptocurrency and money laundering scams that bilked $575 million from "hundreds of thousands of victims" while the suspects used their ill-gotten gains to buy real estate and luxury cars.…

Sergei Potapenko and Ivan Turõgin, both 37, were arrested in Tallinn, Estonia following a joint investigation by US and Estonian law enforcement. The men have been charged with 18 counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy to commit money laundering, and they each face a maximum of 20 years behind bars.

Thankfully such people are caught and honestly they should be heavily penalized and should be given a lot of punishment as well. These people are not only spoiling the name of crypto currency world but are also spoiling the confidence of users who are already transacting in it. But also this is a good example that how can governments even catch scams related to cryptocurrencies as well pretty easily.
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: November 25, 2022, 11:02:54 PM
Honestly I really don't think this is going to happen. These billionaires have a lot of money to feed the governments and stop going to jail, they even have inteligent attorneys who guide them clearly as to which country to stay in order to be safe from the government itself. Even if they are caught they have plenty of excuses and scapegoats to get free from the system. So, I don think you will be able to enjoy this sight.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: November 25, 2022, 08:33:25 PM
India again lost his first ODI against New Zealand, no doubt India play really amazing and give a big target for new Zealand to chase, but the way new Zealand play it's phenomenal, after first wicket of f.allen in early overs I taught that India will take a strong grip on new Zealand but the partnership of Williamson and Latham takeaway the match from India hands, Latham play an unbelievable inning by scoring 145 and Williamson score 94 and that's the main point of India loss

This was an unexpected win for New Zealand and i was not expecting that they could chase 306 runs too easily. Do we have to say that New Zealand's batting was outclassed in this match or do Indian again have difficulties with their bowling and are unable to defend a big total  Huh

Umran Malik took 2 wickets but there was no Indian bowler whom we can say tried to contain the New Zealand batsmen. Also not to forget that Tom Latham scored 145 runs in only 104 balls and this is a very good strike rate in a one-day international match. He must be disappointed not to make 150 runs and make history.
Same for me really, Indian bowling was really below par, it felt as if the bowlers of Indian team have become too much familiar to bowling in T20. They were not really focusing on building the pressure and then taking up wickets they were focusing more on individual deliveries which new zealand played very intelligently so technically the strategy played by them was altogether wrong. I think  they will get better after a couple of games.

according to our honorable hm it is..  Roll Eyes

read this: https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/use-of-cryptocurrency-virtual-assets-new-ways-to-radicalise-youth-amit-shah/articleshow/95600638.cms

i wonder something though, bitcoin was launched in 2009, right?

was there no terrorism before that?

why is it that crypto gets blamed for any and all bad doings now a days?
What else can you expect from people who are never went to real school and neither do they have knowledge of any ongoing affairs. All they know is how to fool people to garner votes and come to power. I agree it's convenient for terorists to transact in crypto as they have less chance to get caught but eventually to get real money they have to sell it in fiat, where you can still find them. Along with this anything these days which is non right wing seems to radicalize the youth of this country.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: November 25, 2022, 04:41:26 PM
I must say that I'm now a Bitcoin addict and an ardent fan/supporter of Satoshi Nakamoto and the good initiative Bitcoin technology has brought to the world. But there are these questions that have been ringing in my head day and night as I continue to be curious about this man/men that brought this revolution to the financial space.

I would like people to furnish me with their views even though I personally believe that he would have been haunted by the world governments at the initial stage.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?
Forget about fate i think people wouldn't have believed on bitcoin then. They would have always thought of it as a Ponzi scheme which is centralized as well because the owner of all of it would have been right in front of you. People would have always doubted the complete self operative blockchain idea. So ideally it's really good that he didn't disclose himself to the world.
596  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 25, 2022, 03:49:12 PM
I see that this is reality that the cost of running the family house hold daily, weekly, monthly and yearly has increased. From different people that have complained and including friends, it is getting so much of frustration to taking good care of the family to live fine because inflation and no job. To buy basic need in the house not easy. A friend that have add a new born to his home complaining of buying diaper, provisions for the new child as expensive in addition to the expenses to take care of the other children. The situation of bringing up the family is not easy and I think one way to helping ourselves not to add more financial burden is by reducing the number of children we give birth to. This can help.

This friend of mine now complain so much because of the new child adding to his family. If we reduce the child bearing to the amount we can take care , it will reduce the heat we are feeling from the bad economy experience.
I think overall the income level have rise along with the inflation but yes, if you are talking in terms of last 2 years then it's true for sure. But historically along with incomes the number of people earning that income has increased as well. I feel in just a matter of few years there will be no person who won't be earning. Almost every person who is eligible to work would be working to earn. Moreover I think atleast in major developed and developing countries the status of living has increased as well so all this justifies increased expenses.
597  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: November 23, 2022, 08:35:18 PM
We have entered the second year of a Bear Market. The market moment we're in has found its support at the peak of 2017's Bull market.

There are those who think that it can still go lower, but the majority agree we have reached a bottom as the selling pressure is losing momentum.

Theoretically, if Bitcoin is able to hold the support at the peak of 2017's bull run, we may see a reverse in the bearish momentum and the start of a new accumulation phase.

I say this phase has already begun. So, what do you guys have to say?

Yes it has started for sure. And it has started a lot before than this month i feel it started in June/ July only when market dumper towards under 30k. I feel this is going to last for 1 more year before we move towards a bullish phase. But at the same time I don't think we are at the final bottom i think after this accumulation phase we might have another final bottom which would act like a trampoline towards the new highs.
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't dying, it's alive. on: November 23, 2022, 07:19:06 PM
We can see the price of Bitcoin is going down gradually but no one wants to understand it depends on your stock market it is also a digital currency through digital transactions and it is currently in bad condition Elon Musk said in 1 reply on Twitter.  Bitcoin is as cold as winter you have to wait for this of course bitcoin price may go up at the end of this winter so be patient everyone.  So if we all wait and if we all hold on to what we have, it's going to get $30,000 to $40,000 by the middle of the year and get to a very good price and it could get to a hundred if we hold it tight, so everybody's disappointed.  Let's save Bitcoin by holding instead.
Relax, people are not going to understand no matter what you say, the chickens are going to go out of the market for sure, and only then there is going to be an actual boom in the market till then we are going to struggle in these areas only, and these chickens will then come back when we are at the all-time high to say that we sold at this much otherwise we would have become this much rich. It requires really big guts to go through the crypto winter, not because prices can go very low, but because they can stay low for pretty long and much longer than what you expect.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 17, 2022, 05:51:22 PM
Tomorrow, India vs New Zealand 1st T-20 in Sky Stadium, Wellington. Both team have some changes after World cup final. New Zealand site Allen got opportunity cz Guptil has injured. And other’s site India Chahal got have opportunity also.I hope this match will be more interesting. But very hard to predict match result. I Think both team can chance to win this match
What do you think?
In this match the team who plays well will advance. But in this match we are waiting to see a good game between India and New Zealand. Many people are waiting to see which team will win this match. Some days.  Earlier we saw that India could not reach the World Cup final after losing to England in the World Cup match. Let's see what India can do in this match.
One of the two teams that were eliminated from the T20 World Cup semi-final match one is New Zealand and the other was India. If a T20 series is organized between them, it will definitely get a different dimension to the spectators. There are two series will be played three match per series T20 and ODI. Hope this visit of India will be successful. This will be their first tour after the World Cup. Hope India will forget all the past and be able to maintain the reign with cricket again.
India is playing with a very different team here. Infact the top-3 won't be the same in the first place. Virat Kohli who really anchored India to semis won't be there so I think New Zealand is a better side for sure, not to forget them having home advantage as well. I am betting on New Zealand for tomorrow's match for sure. Only if the young Indian guns can prove otherwise that they are better than the ones who went for the world cup.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc Are limited supply and people Are withdraw them from exchangers on: November 17, 2022, 05:47:16 PM
Btc Are limited supply and there is fear on the Market everybody or most will think the fear make holders to sell.
But now AS people Are afraid bit to hold their coins on exchangers it creates exchangers shortages of coins.
I guess thats the reason why btc price quite Stable the supply and demand Even If traders are bearish in fear the funding balance stays negative still on exchangers.
So current ftx case making people more often to withdraw their assets out of exchangers.

Situation looking clear for me it seems to me that exchangers now out of coins and that triggers price up not other way around that people accidently think that current fear situation making crypto to go down the exchangers dont see our emotions but buy sell orders and supply and demand.

We have situation now when many traders holders will withdraw their coins in private wallets.
Actually this a normal phenomenon you will see during the price breaks. If you see in past whenever btc price falls, traders do withdraw their coins in private wallets many people even trade based on this data using cryptoquants. But I think so far the sample space for this data is pretty low. I have seen many times this metric of Bitcoin exchange reserve ratio falls and yet price keeps on falling as well. So not very sure if this is the right indicator to judge or not.
