581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Bitcoin? Some insights. on: October 16, 2015, 06:34:45 PM
Here is a map that considers the recent geography of Bitcoin. Any thoughts (and critic) on it would be appreciated.

Markets, Pools, Venues, Nodes, and China: a glimpse of the a Bitcoin topography (II)

mm is interesting to see how USA and central europe have the mayority of nodes, but is sad to see how some countrys are mostly empty Sad

will be curious to see something like an image in the last years about it, i mean how it have been growing up.

btw, thank you for the article Wink

As most technologies, USA and central europe are the center,

But the stats might be misleading because people can use proxies and I'm not sure if all nodes that are running are listed too
582  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Everything Bearish Thread on: October 16, 2015, 06:23:44 PM
Bitcoin is honestly starting to piss me off now  Angry

Why?

Probably the trolls promised him sub 200 coins soon, but prices are increasing every day and he feels like he is losing money and is too scared to buy
583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 16, 2015, 06:20:01 PM
No one is selling. Are we going to se a full retrace to $310?

confirmed

confirmation verified
Nah, Bearstamp still selling like crazy bitches.Too bad China doesn't give a shit. $8 price difference and no one arbs this bitch?

Bitstamp has insiginificant volume comparated with the big players that are driving the price up. They won't make difference.

And since forever BTC-e has been below everyone else, I think $8 gap still noth worth to arbitrage in a bullish scenatio
584  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins todays price. on: October 16, 2015, 06:11:29 PM
Today i saw that the price of bitcoin is so fast to rise. what do you think in this week?
This is the time to buy bitcoins?

Buy when everybody is selling, sell when everybody is buying. Don't be a sheep.

If you followed your advice with most dead altcoins, you would have nothing instead of something at this point.  And you would lose the 2013 bubble because when the price doubled everyone was buying, and the price increased by 10x of pre bubble value.

It is not a rule written in stone
585  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoins todays price. on: October 16, 2015, 05:53:20 PM
Usually such pumps end near $300 and are followed by a dump to 220 or 230. It happened a couple of times this year

I would buy now and panic sell near 290
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about Bitcoin, Visa, Mastercard and Paypal on: October 16, 2015, 05:50:47 PM
they have higher fees and are harder to get and sometimes they ban people and countries.

no more reasons needed to dislike them
587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: cash remains the only option if there's an emergency on: October 16, 2015, 05:49:39 PM
only option as only people keep faith that they will be in touch with the central bank and the economic system.

when things are really bad, I think only gold and physical things will matter, as long there is no one with more weapons than you to steal them
588  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 16, 2015, 05:40:45 PM
the united states marshals auction pump.

but there should be a dump instead, because people fear that the winner will just dump the coins in the market.

if anything, the auction is slowing the pump to 300, one more time this year
589  Economy / Gambling / Re: What feature would you like to see on a Dice site ? on: October 16, 2015, 05:34:52 PM
what do you guys think about levels ? the more you play, the better the faucet gets ? (you gain levels)

Leveling system faucet is not a good idea from my point of view it would bring more abuser look at dadice it is bad example of this i think faucet system must based on wagered amount like primedice and that is more interesting and attractive than.

but PD has levels too, that will determine you much you'll earn with faucet Huh

and of course the faucet reward itself should not count when you level
590  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $300 this month? on: October 16, 2015, 02:26:36 PM
I was surprised that the Gemini launch caused no pump to 300 this time. Maybe this is the lagged effect of Gemini.

It is possible that 300 is reached this month but, again, will not be stable and will be followed by a dump
591  Economy / Services / Re: Need help SMS verification, will pay $2 BTC. Will pay first if have trust on: October 16, 2015, 02:19:05 PM
Any country restriction?

I can do it for you if the others don't do because of country restriction or something
592  Economy / Speculation / Re: China volume last 24 hours on: October 16, 2015, 01:19:13 PM
We are increasing... Volume goes both ways, buys and sells, right now, we have been having more buys;steady increase
Willy Bot 2.0 !!  Grin

Willy bot 3.0, the 2.0 version was used by the chinese to drive the prices as low as possible.

And I think the chinese had more influence in the Gox bubble than the Willy bot itself, but I have no proof
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 16, 2015, 12:51:16 PM
$4.51 up already today on Bitstamp. This is certainly more interesting than yesterday or the day before that. I wonder if the price will be able to hold above $260 or at least $250. It would be nice to move away from $230 (even though there's nothing wrong staying with that either). This is the highest price since mid August.

I am so conditioned to expect huge dumps after a small rise..
Why?

Because of two years of bearish market, of course.

But this time might be different because this might be start of the halving dump that will end the bear market for a while
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending VERY Large Amounts of Bitcoin? on: October 16, 2015, 12:04:36 PM
I don't think anybody with such a large amounts of Bitcoins will try to sell them at once. Maybe in the future when some big businesses start accepting Bitcoin and then from time to time they will exchange there Bitcoins for dollars for example, but they the will buy some Bitcoins back in my opinion.

why not, if he declare is income and everything his transparent, i don't see any problem in selling large amount of bitcoin, you need verification on any exchange for that amount, so they have everything to track you if needed

or maybe you want to sell to buy big later, so it's just a trading activity in this case ti should be even more easy to do, because the money will never leave the exchange

the problem is you may create a flash crash and lose money, like happened to some people.

and having it declared won't stop the bank to be a nuisance for you, so you might have your account frozen for some time until all things are sorted
595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game you like most to play gambling on Bitcoin ?? on: October 16, 2015, 11:55:29 AM
I play sport bets most of the times.

Because there is no house edge and watch the games is more fun when you have a bet in the game
596  Other / Off-topic / Re: The bitcoin in daily life on: October 16, 2015, 11:50:14 AM
I never used bitcoin as payment outside the forum, at least without cashing out.

I don't see the stores I use accepting BTC
597  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: October 15, 2015, 08:56:43 PM
The best way to save money is to set up an automatic withdrawal from your savings or checking account to a mutual fund

They will charge for such service of course and be investment option won't be the best for your.

First thing needed would be control the cash flow, that is, how much do you earn and what are your expenses, so you know how much you can invest
598  Other / Meta / Re: Seriously? "WARNING: This user is a newbie.." on: October 15, 2015, 08:46:37 PM
So I sent someone private message and I saw this message attached on the top:

"!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!"

I don't know guys but this isn't welcoming and definitely someone who receive messages from newbies here might not take it seriously. Are we fighting with spammy accounts here? There are other ways to deal with it.

Let's come up with solution better than this Smiley

Thanks to the hundreds of newbie scam attempts before you.

Also, you might have noticed, your image is not working, but ours are. That is to discourage the newbie spam attempts with garbage images.

As soon as your activity crosses 15, you'll be able to get rid of these problems known as Newbie Restrictions.

I thought that the newbies restrictions would be lifted when the user reaches 30 activity, not 15. Or when a newbie is promocted to Jn member
599  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Rate in Thai Baht and US are not similar on: October 15, 2015, 08:37:50 PM
Price of BTC varies depending of the demand.

Since usually move money into or out of the country is not easy and not cheap, then the difference may be significative, more as more closed is the country's economy
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin better that fiat? on: October 15, 2015, 08:33:22 PM
Because there are bigger fees and taxes with FIAT.

But I think if enough people know BTC things may change, sadly
