You should look into MemoryCoin (disclosure: I'm the CMO of the coin).
I believe it's the most profitable coin especially thanks to the new miner released a few hours ago.
On my i7 4770 with only 4 out of 8 cores running, I'm getting around 0.5 MMC per hour (So in total around 12 MMC per day or 24 MMC for full power which convert to 0.006 BTC per day ON MY PC! )

I wanted to create a new thread just like the one someone opened for Cryptsy a while back.
This post has 2 purposes:

It took me a while, but I came to realize that confirmation time isn't as important as I thought when I first looked into crypto-currencies.
A "good enough" confirmation per transaction can be achieved via other methods so you don't have to wait, for example, the full ~10 minutes per confirmation on BTC.
