Hi everyone,
Today I want to tell you Bitcoiners and Altcoiners about a really promising coin called MemoryCoin (MMC)

What it isn't:
Celeb parody
Meme
Scam
Coingened
Pump & Dump coin
Sha256 clone
Scrypt clone

What it is:
Charitable - 1% of all mining goes to charity! The charity is chosen by the community.
CPU Coin - Unique algorithm - GPU mining is only 4 times more efficient than CPU mining which makes mining it from any modern CPU highly attractive! No need for a dedicated mining rig
Innovative - Voting system - Use your power and vote for the management team - Hire those you want, Fire those you don't!
Extremely easy to pool mine - The unique wallet allows you to pool mine in 2 clicks! Even your grandmother can mine MMCs Smiley No tech skills required.
Community Driven - The community, as written above, can vote for the management but also can influence the development of the coin by giving feedback and ideas to the management team!

Download the Windows client here:
http://www.memorycoin.org/downloads/memorycoin.msi
(Don't forget to try the extremely easy mining option of this client)

Source is here:

I'm using it a lot, I own a dice site that uses it actually.
Basically one of 3 unique alts out there. And two of those are highly questionable... Currently holding equal amounts of BTC and MMC

GPU is (still) very profitable compared to other coins.
Here's a discussion that shows GPU performance - Note that some cards like the 7970 perform great with this miner giving it a huge edge over scrypt:

Like I said, it depends on your hardware, but it definitely is profitable right now, more than many others.
But the beauty of it is that it can be very efficiently mined on CPU as well.

We can use the low-entry into mining to attract and market to new users of cryptocurrency.  We're hoping that will create long-term price stability and attract websites to build new services and develop new applications to work alongside other virtual currencies.  The community can use that to attract, train, and support a growing community of new web developers, entrepreneurs, etc to continue to support charitable causes.

The new CPU miner is now part of the new wallet.
Download the new wallet and simply choose "Mining -> Launch Pool Miner" to start turning CPU power into cash

It's not the main thread.
11.2 HPM is excellent!
What CPU are you using and how much memory do you have?

No other coin have MemoryCoin's unique features:
  • CPU Coin (GPU is hardly better in mining, ASIC resistant!)
  • Paid development team (Devs, Marketing, Support, etc. All elected and paid)
  • Rapid Mining (5% weekly drop in mining reward to ensure increasing value with time)
