Dev, please provide an update on the status of the new wallet, testing, code peer review, etc. Thanks here you go for the source, i still need to dig up a windows compiled version, ill figure that out tomorrow. https://github.com/maxxine/TEKhardfork block on 506500 apprx 4-6 days Thanks to defaced, presstab, tranz, biomech, dyoungi, everyone who helps i know there are more, and thank you too. here is the new windows wallet with the fix thanks Argkiig: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwGL9FkcBurENzRxaTVURllUVkk/editwin wallet not function properly - TLSv1_1_client and SSLEAY32.dll - problem - not start - test on Vista 64 and 32 bit 2003 server - need repair this Same problem here. Windows 7 - 64bit. But I installed Tek in the Programfilesx86 folder. Some DLL's seem to be missing. Downloading them from the net made my virusscanner pop-up. Is 750% annual stake really correct? I got my first staked coins today, it was over 20% in 11 days. That seems to be far more than 750% annualy???
Zeeman it sure is 750%. This would be the formula for 11 days: 7.5/365*11=22.6% Maybe I'm not into this enough to get it. But when I stake Tekcoin I make about 40% each month. To calculate the yearly stake I use: 1000 coins: after 1 month > 1400 coins. after 2 months > 1.4 * 1400 = 1960 etc. What about HyperStake? 22,6% after 11 days, so aftyer 22 days there is some compounding isn't it?? 1000 coins: after 11 days > 1226 after 22 days > 1.226 * 1226 = 1503 after 33 days > 1.226 * 1503 = 1842,6 This is already 84% after 33 days. After 12 months this numbers get's way above 750% Or am I missing something?

Thx Biomech and Presstab.
I'm fully synced now! But the new version overwrites the old wallet.dat is that correct? I'm in %appadata% and can only find a new wallet.dat in the Truckcoin-folder.
you lost all your coins, same as I did. aha, I got it! What you have to do is: On Windows 7, go to start and in the searchbox type: %appdata% Go to the map called "Roaming" Then go to the map: Truckcoin and copy the wallet.dat to the clipboard. then go to the map: Hyperstake > rename the wallet.dat to wallet-new.dat and paste the wallet.dat from the Truckcoin folder to this Hyperstakefolder. That worked for me. I guess the older versions were using the Truckcoin-map and the new version the Hyperstake-map. I'm having back all my coins EVEN HE FIGURED IT OUT! Yup, and EVEN while I'm not a nerd like you who writes for Crytpocrap.com

*edit The software asks me for a password to unlock the wallet, but my old transactions and coins seems to be gone.

So this coins doesn't provide anything to miners at all??? Why do they still mine the coin, for fun??
This coin is by design not mineable, it's a pure PoS coin from launch, forking TRK and duplicating the wallet's balance for initial distribution. No mining, just minting. I find that interesting (pun intendend) and I like the dev. That's why I'm in. Plus, the interest from PoS is actually similar to mining in this case. At least it seems it will be. We're still getting things sorted. I like the coin as well, have bought some coins. But there is a blockcahin isn't it? So someone has to do hash-calculations to make a valid block and share it with the rest. My question is, why would someone do that, when there's no reward for al the hashes??? And what if there are no people left to calculate hashes and create new valid blocks???

11229 blocks still remaining. Connected to 11 peers on version 1.01
We'll see how it will work.

I just wanted to clarify since I'm a Proof of Stake newb.
So you will have a chance that the coins you have in your wallet will auto mine it if not disturbed for two weeks?
Would the wallet have to be on at all times?
What if I added more and didn't remove?
Does the amount of PHS you have matter? Like if I had 1 PHS would it just try and mine 1 PHS or try for a block? which I think is what 32 right now?
I'm not mining the coin, got my coins by buying them. But I know some answers to your questions. Your wallet doesn't have to be online all the time. Just run it every 10 days or once a year if you like. But if you get some interest, the moment it's added to your wallet, the new coins have to "sit still" for some time as well. So when you run you're client every 5 tot 10 days, interest over the new coins will built up faster. And if you have a locked wallet, you can use this link to unlock is for minting: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=292720.msg4351367#msg4351367good luck!

I'm on the latest beta, no extra .conf or .bat files created. I have about 998 stones which are about 21 days old. Still "MinWeight" is = 0
how does that come? I thought by now I should have some minting going on isn't it? Or at least MinWeight should be some better than 0... Am I doing something wrong?
http://www.diamondblocks.info/address/9jzGM2a1uSLgKoLZiZu7eCDt44sHbyYLr5If you look on explorer you can see the 2nd trans here has when you moved the 1 stone and reset the age on the first deposit. Should see the number in the below continue to rise and then move to min in the next day or 2. BTW minweight is >5 days Okay, thank you very much. I believe the technology will work. But by moving 1 stone I screwed up my first interest payment I guess

This is normal behavior, just let it sit for a bit and you should mint. In the new beta wallet 1.3.1 you can also help>debug and click on console tab then type in 'getmininginfo' to see how many stones are ready. Or with 1.3.0 it will tell you your weights.
Thanx, I installed the beta wallet and let it run for 12 hours now. I have 12 connections to the network and my wallet is still unlocked through the console. I use no extra .conf or .bat files. This is what I see in the console after typing 'getmininginfo' : 18:35:08 getmininginfo
18:35:08  { "blocks" : 124902, "currentblocksize" : 1376, "currentblocktx" : 1, "difficulty" : 22.29134944, "networkhashps" : 912902186, "PoWmhashps" : 143.97085239, "netstake" : 30098, "errors" : "", "pooledtx" : 1, "BelowWeight" : 5130, "MinWeight" : 0, "MaxWeight" : 0, "TotalWeight" : 0, "StakeReadyStones" : 0, "stakeinterest" : 0, "testnet" : false }
I'm curious, how long does it take before some stones become "Stakeready"? Some stones are in my wallet for about 18 days now. On the PS website they talk about 5 to 10 days. I guess it's longer the first time isn't it??? And when I sent half of my stones to another website, will the interest still built up for the untouched stones? Keep up the good work....

Hey guys let me know if this helps?? Step 1: Open your wallet Step 2: At the top you will see an option: Help Step 3: Click Console tab. Then at bottom of that screen, type in help Step 4: You will see a list of commands the program can receive for your wallet, near the bottom of the list, notice the walletpassphrase command syntax. Step 5: where you typed in help, type in: walletpassphrase yourwalletpassword 9999999 true. yourwalletpassword is the encryped password you gave your wallet. Step 6: Notice your wallet lock should now be unlocked (lower right corner). Also, I think the code now perform auto minting when the wallet is unlocked when you pass the true variable. Step 7: When you want to lock your wallet, type in walletlock. Please let me know if this helps. I also struggled for days trying to figure this out. I work with programmers every day and know how they think, they sometimes have a manual command line way to perform certain functions. I'm glad this version has the console command line configured in. bdc2343 Thanx for the steps. I am able to unlock my wallet this way. But on the leftside corner I still have the message: "minting suspended due to locked wallet" The little wallet logo on the right shows the wallet is unlocked. It also shows the text: "wallet is encrypted and currently unlocked" while hoovering over. This means PS is telling me 2 different things. 1. Your wallet is unlocked. 2. The program cannot mint because the wallet is locked. Oeps,.... little update! Now the message about not being able to mint is gone (took about 10 min.) So the wallet is unlocked and the message is gone. Does anyone know how to add coins to the "Stake" part in my wallet? While I look at the overview, I see the numer of coins I have but none of them shows up after Stake: Some coins I received 19 december. So I must be able to get some coins now isn't it?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Tutorial for MINTING/STAKE etc... The peercoin info is not very helpful the part about rpc password and wallet password/encrytion unlock for minting etc... is VERY confusing DON'T ask people to just leave coins in UN-encrypted wallet for minting...duh! Where is the daemon file? Is there one created somewhere I can't find one? not in app data or downloaded qt file? Also NEW WALLET Do I need to send my coins to the new wallet? Must I Pay tx fee just to use and get old coins to new wallet? Can I just save my wallet.dat and then copy the old into the NEW wallet AFTER it loads AND syncs??? Wish I could LEARN more so I could help more.. OPINION Who cares what the damn wallet looks like or the logo design when there are so many other vastly more important issues of FUNCTIONALITY Harry fucking Potter has nothing to do with this coin. Don't fuck this coin with such an insult leonardo Davinci Pythagoras Plato Lao Tzu Confusious Walter Russell even Van Morrison is great but no forking HP I agree with you, I can't get the stuff working as well. I get the popup which wants me to enter my pass, but when I give my pass, the wallet won't be unlocked. I watched the video by the guy who made it work for PPcoin and tried to do the same for PS. here are my lines of code: In the %appdata% > roaming > Philosopherstone I added a file called philosopherstone.conf #philosophercoind.conf # JSON-RPC options (for controlling a running ppcoind process)
#Server mode allows Qt to accept JSON-RPC commands server=1
# You must set rpcuser and rpcpassword to secure the JSON-RPC api rpcuser=test rpcpassword=test2
#The reserve balance field is the minimum amount of coins you want to have available and NOT put up as stake. #The reason for this is that if you are generating proof of stake you cannot spend those coins for 520 blocks. #reservebalance=0 In programfiles(386) > Philosopherstone-1.3.0-win32 I created mint.bat with this lines of code, there is no daemon-map: @echo off @echo Enter PPC password... SET /P variable=Password : philosophercoind walletpassphrase %variable% 9999999 true Hope someone can give me a clue about what I'm doing wrong. That would be great.

Hi there,
Please add me... I need some help with the Philosopher Stones proof of stake minting. There is a tutorial about Peercoin. I made the config-file and put it in the %appdata% PS map, but is doesn't work. I also cannot unlock my wallet with the .bat file.
Thank you very much...
