Still out and about trolling I see Ginger Smiley
Its all he knows lol.

Might be important to point out, in case anyone here is actually new to this forum, that some members here like to create brand new accounts for reasons of personal gain.
They then proceed to devote the entire time logged into that account for a pre-determined purpose -> such as bashing a certain coin/thread they have a motive to see fail.

I would point anyone interested to the account history of GingerMod: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=219339;sa=showPosts;start=0

1. Created around the launch of DigiByte
2. Couple posts in newbie thread (required by forum, as you probably already know).
3. 1 Post in a different altcoin thread
4. EVERY SINGLE OTHER POST HAS BEEN BASHING DIGIBYTE

So!  Why don't you just come clean GingerMod?
Why not just expose your real forum account and let everyone see the motives behind all these kind and thoughtful posts you keep making? Smiley

I'm actually new to the forum. Not trolling, just trying to enlighten some of you. It's truthfully irritating to see people blindly put their faith in things.

ah so your a hero, saving us unenlightened folk. What would we do without you oh mighty troll lord.

I mean, if you're just going to be stubborn alright.

so im wondering what the future holds in store for digi. imo you guys (the digi team) are off to a very good start, you guys seem to have your shit together which is nice to see. personally I think digi has a good future, but im worried about the amount of coins total. 21 billion is an awful lot, and id like to see them at over $1 or $10, but I dont know how realistic that would be. I would consider $.10 a success, but what do you guys think?
if you look at all the other alts with tons of coins, their volume makes them worth less, whereas there are far fewer bitcoins and I think thats an important part of why theyre worth so much.
thoughts?

Bitcoin went from a $200 million market cap at the beginning of 2013 to over $12 billion by the end of 2013. That's a 60 fold increase in less than 1 year. All signs point to Bitcoin & cryptos making another 10-20 fold increase in 2014 (wall street dumping in billions, large companies like overstock starting to accept crypto currency & cryptos going main stream.)

That puts the crypto market cap at $100- $200 billion by the end of 2014, beginning of 2015. This is still tiny compared to the 60 Trillion in currency traded around the world.

By the end of the first year there will only be 4 billion DigiBytes in circulation. So if cryptos are at a $200 billion market cap don't you think it is very easy for DigiByte to capture 5-10 billion of that as more merchants begin to accept it?

It will take 4 years for about 12 billion DGB to be created (half of all DGB). Then it will take another 20+ years for the rest to be created.

Back in the fall of 12' and Jan of 13' no one believed us when we said Bitcoin would be where it is now. All you have to do is look at the math behind it and do some calculations.

I (BitcoinTate) remember making this post and people said I was crazy back in April: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167611.0

Read this article as well: http://falkvinge.net/2013/03/06/the-target-value-for-bitcoin-is-not-some-50-or-100-it-is-100000-to-1000000/

21 Billion is the perfect number of coins.

The tell-tale sign of any failing business is when the justification for your actions is

"Well this is a multi-billion dollar market, even if I capture a tiny fraction of it, I'll be a millionaire!"

You won't

Your coin is at 55 satoshis, how do you feel?

100+ satoshis

The highest volume is at 55 satoshis

1 Million Digishits
0.55 BTC

Well, I'll put a sell order up for 2 millon Digi at 1 BTC/DGB then.  Then the most value will be at $821 / DGB!!!!

You're an idiot.  It doesn't matter where a buy price is if it isn't ever fulfilled.  In the same vein, I'm sure you have people with over 1 million DGB lining up to sell their's at 1/3rd the market rate.  Sounds legit.  People always love to throw away money.

Sell orders at higher levels will eventually get depleted bud

Oh looks, it's happening

This coin is similar to MEC, it simply is too difficult to mine for any prolonged dumping. Anyone selling at the current rate is making less money than they would've made mining on any other multipool. The net hash rate has been increasing steadily since the creation and coins are getting harder to come by. This coin doesn't have the same issues as the other alts that get mined on release then dumped until there are no buy orders.

Don't make the same mistake I did and dump early. I'd have half a million dollars right now if I never sold the MEC I mined.

Coin is clearly being dumped by the minute

@ ginger
 i'm not bitter little lad.
just fed up with trolls hating
why are you hating dgb?
how can you run down a coins value when it's only just started?
how many dgb's do you have for the second time?
none maybe? oh well you can run and cry in the corner in a couple of months

why are you hating dgb?
Because of the premine, because of the retarded block reward system(double digis first 3 days), this causes insane inflation to the currency, and the blatantly wrong believe the devs have in thinking this coin will not only be worth over a billion dollars in a year, but exceed BTC by 10x in the near future.

how can you run down a coins value when it's only just started?
By dumping its value way down

how many dgb's do you have for the second time?
I've personally dumped 15k but I've amassed enough people to sell @ 55 satoshis(1 million digishits)

@Gingermod

we are all feeling pretty damn good about how this coin is shaping up and the price so far is only goin up up up. it's been on the exchange a couple of hours. once it gets on other exchanges then it's take off time. so how do you feel???

how many dgb's do you have little boy???

>the price so far is only goin up up up

The most volume is at 55 satoshis right now. The sell prices are also steadily declining. Why do you have to be so bitter? You're just as bad as religious people.

71 buy order is 30% gone! 55 is in sight

Hey sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm a bit confused regarding Digibyte having a pre-mine, and announcing it as if it is a positive feature?

Yes it's positive.

Okay haha, would you mind telling me why?  I'm just curious.

The premine was for giveaways and the Devs, 50/50. Don't mind the short, weird replis you get, there is a nice mix of kids and adults here as I've experienced.

But doesn't that inflate the currency? Pretty sure that's bad :^)

I don't know about that, but the bad thing about premine is that people can claim it was premined to support the devs (get rich quick scheme). Without premine that issue is non-existent. As long as the Devs sit on premined coins there is no getting away from this. It happened with a lot of coins prior to the "crypto trend" we see today and I am sure it will happen again. That is why the common consensus was; "absolutely no premine under any circumstances". The days where people cared about premine is long gone though.

Before anyone hates me - the above is why people don't like premine, it is not my opinion.

This is my opinion; I do not think the premine will be an issue here, as everything is transparent. At least it hasn't been an issue so far. The Devs could sell it all as soon as the coin hits an exchange, but the Digi-team seems to be for real. It boils down to trust basically.

Yeah sounds good and all but if you understood basic economy you would know that pre-mine is literally printing free money. That causes the currency to lose value.

That argument holds no merit. The only reason a currency has any value at all is because people decide to give it value. The USD is printed by the FED, and the main supporters of the FED also hold the most amount of wealth in the United States. The main holders of USD are the bankers and financial institutes who trade Bank Bonds for printed/digital USD currency - both have no real value and are created out of thin air within the exchange. These same people also own corporations which siphon wealth at a steady rate from the poor and middle class, continually perpetuating the owner-slave mentality that has existed since the dawn of human civilization. This is why crypto-currency is so important, it can eliminate this.

But, what value does even a digital currency have if only the rich who can afford the expensive mining rigs hold the largest amounts of the currency. That is not improving the spread of distribution. DigiByte tried to spread the distribution around a bit more, by giving half of their small pre-mine away to individuals supporting their effort in various ways. No system will ever be perfect, but gradual improvements can lead to perfection sometime in the future.

Yeah that deciding value strategy sure worked with every other coin

US government print money and the banks sell it with interest, when you do a giveaway your doing it good or bad and this case show all good and awesomeness of a professional development very transparent in all its curse!

Right, I forgot a world currency functioned like a crypto-currency.
