Marc-André ter Stegen the goalkeeper of Barcelona is officially out and he had surgery because of his situation he was injured in this team.
He left the training camp of Germany and people were thinking he could come back after some time but now he is going to be out for 2-3 months after the surgery.

I feel for Ter stegen; the injuries are pilling up and that would signal an end to his Barcelona career if the streak doesn’t stop. It’s been months now; and with his age, recovery would take longer process

Hopefully, he can bounce back just as Neuer did for Bayern Munich and lead Barcelona on the treble charge.
Now Xavi has got to bring out the best in the back up goalkeeper

It is still far too early to call it quits here. The worst of it all is that he was hoping to become the number 1 in the goal of the German national team finally after Neuer broke his leg. But you know, Neuer is an example how somebody can make a comeback after a brutal injury. ter Stegen is 31 years old and Neuer is 37 years old and of course it always depends on the individual physiological capacity of a player, but if Neuer can recover from a broken leg as a goalkeeper, I think that ter Stegen can do it as well with a back injury. But the big question for him will be whether his plans for the European Championship 2024 now melt into thin air.

Hey guys I am back in town, trying to make up for the mess from last week.

The game Luton - Arsenal is getting out of control. When I saw the possible answers and one of them was Arsenal wins with 3 goals or more, I thought there is no way that one is gonna happen. But I also did not anticipate that this is going to happen...

Luton - Arsenal 3-3 as we speak and Luton took the 3-2 lead in the meantime. Unbelievable.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany DFB Cup 2023/2024 - Discussion and Prediction on: December 05, 2023, 09:36:16 PM
The cup games in most top European countries, placing a bet on those games might be quite risky as most of these top teams prefer chasing their league title and European titles rather than a less competitive title hence, the rotation in the squad. Owing to these rotations, surprises could spur out and lead to them playing against your prediction on your bet slip. An example is Bayern Munich who were defeated by a team who sits 15 on the log in the 3rd Division of the German League, that’s crazy.

You can see Bayern’s pointman, Kane out because to the coach, he needed to keep fit and stay cool for the league and the UCL and that risk really paid off. I think the League game in Germany will be quite complicating especially for a team like Leverkusen who still wants to keep chasing the title. Probably there could be rotation but would it result to the losing the game?? Well Xabi Alonso would do best what suits his team and in his choice, make the fan’s happiness his priority.

If the "little" clubs play against the big ones, I dare to bet some money. Especially when the clubs from League 3 downwards will play against Bayern Munich. In general, it seems that Bayern Munich are no longer have much interest in the DFB Cup (like you wrote about the case with Kane). They won the DFB Cup the last time in 2020. After that they only reached the 2nd round three times and the quarter-finals once. So if one have generally bet against Bayern Munich the last 4 times they have got a good win each time.

I am not sure if you have ever followed the drama taking place at the Säbener Street when Bayern gets kicked out of the DFB Pokal in an early round. If you wanna call that "no longer have much interest in the DFB Cup", something doesn't add up there! Cheesy It is getting close to being the end of the world for a few days and a trainer discussion is automatically initiated. The media is slapping the club's face for a whole week wherever they can and the bosses are looking as if they just lost a loved one.

The truth is that Bayern played some very bad DFB Cup rounds in recent years and deserved to be eliminated. In the Bundesliga they can get away with losing a couple of games like that because there is no team ready to take the opportunity and win the title. That's the huge difference between the DFB Cup and the Bundesliga.

But let's face it, all those Liverpool goals were goals that you don't score four times in a single game on a regular basis! Tongue There is no way that Liverpool can snipe like that in every game. You can't blame Fulham for conceding those goals because the goalkeeper had no chance to defend against that and the only accusation one could make here is that the defense shouldn't have allowed the Liverpool players to take those shots. But I think it wouldn't have made much of a difference if they ran out and attacked. It's not possible to play pressing with so high intensity that Liverpool can't even take shots from a distance.
Distance goals do actually matters from Liverpool team, they're well known for such shots and they deliver in matches. What do we expects from the Cottagers because there performance was mediocre and below the performance exhibited from the Reds. Liverpool epic comeback against Fulham was superb. Jurgen Klopp is excited to be the manager of such an outstanding squad this season. The long range shots against Bernd Leno was incredible and he couldn't save these shots, thereby leading to him conceding goals from the Reds.

I am not arguing against Liverpool's impressive skills to score from a distance and in fact they do do that quite often, but doing it like those four goals in one game? Believe me I have watched countless of Liverpool games and I don't remember when they scored so many goals in one game from a distance. The free kick was amazing, but the two goals afterwards both were nuts! The third goal wasn't as spectacular, but it is still a goal that is above average I would say.

Fulham took the lead against them in minute 80' and now they are pressing and pressing but this is again a huge disappointment for all those who were looking forward to a duel between Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool this season. Still some time to go though.
Fulham could not hold it, Liverpool were too fantastic for them, the long range shots did the job, the Fulham goalkeeper could not do much. Liverpool won the game to now occupy second behind Arsenal pending the game result between Manchester city and Tottenham which is now playing, but very serious because there are already two goals in the game, one for each team, but the two goals from Son who scored a quick counter attack and then an own goal some minutes later to cancel their early advantage. It is not everyday Son scores an own goal, must be a strange feeling for him.

So, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen currently have 2 draws but ya, at least Bayern Munich still have one match pending. But indeed, although there seems to be no definite guarantee for Bayer Leverkusen to get the trophy but ya, at least Xabi Alonso has managed to make Bayer Leverkusen break the club record this season. Because anyway, great appreciation is also certainly given to Xabi Alonso for managing to make Bayer Leverkusen unbeaten in all competitions so far. Therefore, although in the last match Bayer Leverkusen was held to a draw by Dortmund, but for me such a result is still a good result for Bayer Leverkusen.

My hope is that Frankfurt can do something against Bayern and doesn't get overrun within the first 20 minutes of the game. Otherwise the upcoming weekend could end in a festival for Bayern if they win their game, Leverkusen loses to Stuttgart and Dortmund is playing Leipzig, which means (at least) one more team will lose important points.

100k wären für mich "to the moon"

the game bayern vs. union will probably not be played until next year in january/february.
this means the following points for our pool:
Code:
CLS63, Harkorede and Ulven each 13 points
buwaytress, 1r0n1c, Spray., bullrun2024bro, darxiaomi and Hhampuz each 11 points
LTU_btc 10 points
that these participants can still be considered as potential matchday winners for gw13

and besides, efialtis can still make a prediction for this game and won't be left completely empty Wink

efilatis probably knows that he only needs to provide his picks for maybe 25 matchdays and still win the Bundesliga pool... Tongue

His average was quite high and he would probably be leading or be ranked among the top three or so had he provided all his picks every week.

In any case I would have received zero points because of draw, but I was amazed to see that I had chosen 2-1 in favor of Bayer - as always, I bet in a hurry and either mixed up or "believed" the bookmakers.

Very strange that I'm in the same boat here. My logic on form would have put BVB in front, but my rational understanding would have selected the draw, yet I somehow followed odds wisdom and went for the same 2-1 Bayer win. We fell for the books, friend.

I think this wasn't about falling for the books. Leverkusen played the game and I have rarely seen Dortmund be in such a defensive position for almost the whole game. It's maybe when they play against Bayern, but other than that I don't think so. This was again a lucky result for Dortmund.

Katar möchte eventuell 500Mio Dollar in Bitcoin investieren.

There is more interesting info to be found if you use the link, but I think it is quite easy based on these requirements for US prosecutors to operate internationally because American citizens are served by all mixers and that case can easily be made. They could just find one single person to have used a particular service. Worst case is that a mixing service really launders tens of millions of stolen funds. But I underlined the part that Chainalysis correctly brought up as the major contradiction: KYC + mixing coins makes zero sense.
Yep. But that's the view of one country with about 4% of the global population. Of course there are more, like EU states under MiCa, with similar requirements for any service which stores customers' coins. But in many countries crypto services aren't regulated, and in others (like Switzerland), for KYC to apply there are thresholds which could be respected by mixers without putting into risk their business model. They simply could implement a policy like "only X coins per IP/day", and to circunvent that, you need proxies or VPNs so that would be again an "advanced" technique (and it would be simpler to use Monero for example).

There should be ways for mixers to use geofiltering to exclude users from the KYC-demanding countries. Tor may be an issue there, but normally if a company takes "reasonable" action against being used by customers of a particular country, they should be fine against prosecution from the US and other privacy-unfriendly states.

It is not that I agree with you 100%, actually I do. But I wonder what issues do arise when - let's say - US authorities themselves (undercover of course) use a VPN and give a mixing service a try with a million dollars and it works. Wouldn't they immediately have a legit case in their hands to start prosecution? I don't know how it works, but if authorities need a case to take action, isn't setting one up the easiest part of it all? They specifically prosecuted Binance for serving US customers (among other things of course). If that is enough to get prosecuted, I think no mixing service could ever get away from them and that is why the KYC requirement is the insurmountable hurdle as no service would collect KYC data. But I would like to hear any differing opinion on that.

~

This is from August 2022, Chainalysis:

Quote
Are crypto mixers legal?
Despite their use by criminals, crypto mixers are not explicitly illegal in most jurisdictions. Whether they are compliant, however, is a different question.

In the United States, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has confirmed that individuals and centralized businesses offering custodial mixing services must register as money transmitters under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and have three key obligations:

- register with FinCEN,

- maintain an anti-money laundering and know-your-customer compliance program, and

- meet all applicable reporting and record-keeping requirements.

We aren’t aware of any custodial mixers currently following these rules. And given that privacy preservation is the main reason that many users interact with crypto mixers, it seems unlikely that one could implement these procedures and still retain their users.

There is more interesting info to be found if you use the link, but I think it is quite easy based on these requirements for US prosecutors to operate internationally because American citizens are served by all mixers and that case can easily be made. 596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 03, 2023, 04:41:04 PM
Nothing can stop Leverkusen to win Bundesliga this year and I will keep this bold prediction for the rest of the season. Sure , Bayern looks strong , healthy and always ready to win but Leverkusen looks more like a team than Bayern in my opinion and this will be a huge advantage when they will face each other later.

Also , Stuttgart really wants to catch an European spot for next year and by the way they are playing right now , they can achieve at least a Conference League spot.

I am truly hoping for Leverkusen to win the title, but my gut feeling is that Bayern will win it again. If you want to, you can turn your bold prediction into a little bet against me Smiley I say that Bayern will win the title. I have been disappointed so many teams so many teams when it was looking great for them and then it all fell apart within just a few weeks and Bayern "had to be looked after with binoculars", as Uli Hoeneß once said Cheesy

I think all of us are on the same page. Because all of us want to see Bayer Leverkusen win the league title. I just want to make this clear that I am not hating on Bayern Munich. But I have just become so tired of watching Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga title for 11 years straight. So first of all I want some changes and secondly, Bayer Leverkusen are also performing really well. So right now looking at their performance, I think we can say that they deserve to win the Bundesliga title.

Ok this was a quick goal for Dortmund that I did not expect and I picked Leverkusen as the winner in the Sportsbet Bundesliga pools. I hope this wasn't a mistake as I was sure that Leverkusen will show their 10/10 game and Dortmund won't have as many chances in this game.

Freiburg made an important step with their 3 points against Mainz and I was again wrong as Mainz didn't lose a game in a while, not going well for me.

The game is not over yet, but I am amazed how Liverpool is again about to make a huge mistake and it was so unexpected because I thought they have found back their strength and are the good old Liverpool finally. Fulham took the lead against them in minute 80' and now they are pressing and pressing but this is again a huge disappointment for all those who were looking forward to a duel between Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool this season. Still some time to go though.
Liverpool have made another surge and are now 4-3 ahead of Fulham. Endo and Trent scored on 87 and 88 minutes. Still knows how Liverpool can snatch victory in the final minutes and turn any match into a show, because it seemed that Fulham at least draw Fulham led 3:2 until 80 minutes, but Liverpool was able to snatch victory in the final minutes.

In general, we can congratulate Liverpool and its fans with a great game, in which Klopp showed that he can motivate his players to play until the end.

Well, what can I say about this? Cheesy I can literally feel how Jurgen Klopp and the team feels. They knew that if they lost this game, the whole world would be shaking their heads again about Liverpool. If they want to have a chance again to win the PL trophy, never could they afford to lose a game against Fulham like this. But ok, they pulled their heads out of the noose this time.

599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will another ETF be immediately bullish for Bitcoin? on: December 03, 2023, 09:22:18 AM
Whenever an ETF is approved, whether it is sometime next year or a few years from now, it'll definitely cause a large spike in price. After the spike could be some people will try to sell the spike to crash it back down some, but the overall price effect will be very positive.

And that's just of course the news of an announcement. Once the ETF(s) start operating and billions of dollars start buying up Bitcoin that'll of course also cause a large price spike.
If we do have that success ETH or approval on January 2024 then it would be a huge spike.

‘Mark Your Calendars’—Date Revealed As Huge $17 Trillion Bitcoin ETF Countdown Suddenly Begins, Heralding Ethereum, XRP And Crypto Price Chaos

ETF is good yet institutional would really be that flowing into this market but i dont really like when we do speak about its cons.
Anonymity would really be that somewhat will be an issue. Am i right?

I think one of the important criteria will be how those ETFs are structured and what the reserve requirements will look like. I haven't looked into any of the specifics of those big ETAs that are scheduled or due to be decided, but if anyone can provide some insight as to what that means in concrete terms, I would appreciate that. If an ETF has a certain volume, what will the Bitcoin reserves be that the ETF provider/operator has to have at any given point in time? This could also shed some light on interesting numbers in the future when financial institutions and other corporations have to be transparent about that.

The game will most likely be rescheduled for mid or end of January and could then effectively interfere with Bayern's plans for the training camp. I think especially for Bayern this is bad as they are looking forward to a tough second half of the season and I doubt anyone there would like the training camp to be cancelled.
