581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If crowdfunding started from IEO on: December 05, 2020, 06:08:23 PM
I'm just curious, if IEO was the first crowdfunding that came out with full hype just like ICO in 2017 would there still be better trusts on new projects today? I believe that IEO delivers more trust through top exchanges and that's why they are still very much alive today compare to ICO, what do you say?

Did you check Binance IEO (I'm using Binance exchange since they conducted most the successful IEO we had in the past and present) performance projects during last year in 2019? Almost all weny below their listing price which where below the average public sales. Not until early this year before they start pumping as they Mainet start going live with regular updates. Now tell me, how do you think most of this project react if we are in 2017 when most of investors were still new to cryptocurrency. Most of investors weren't even after the knowledge, they thought cryptocurrency is all about pyramid scheme where they can double their income.

In conclusion, the situation might still be critical but since it will be exchange, stolen of funds would have been minimal.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: good news for bitcoin at the moment on: December 05, 2020, 05:55:54 PM
This is good news for everyone including investors, traders and maximalist. Adoption above everything, if the traction will continue at this rate, kraken exchange prediction of Bitcoin to $30k isn't far from truth. Many will fomo and this will make bitcoin to break all time high, Ethereum may reach $1k  Cool Cool Cool but the fee though.
Nobody is saying anything about DeFi adoption, all we have seen so far is lending, borrowing, staking with high yield APR which most of the time died as the project progress. Cry
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Email address exposure in spreadsheet on: December 05, 2020, 05:42:44 PM
Bounty managers please kindly start hiding emails in your spreadsheet because I always like using new email for bounty participation and I surprised that there are many offer mails in my email account, some are free airdrop some are affiliate marketing offers, I still remember that some people are selling email addresses online, it will be easier for such people to go through bounty spreadsheet and pack the whole email address

I'm sick and tired of email appearing on spreadsheet, professional Bounty managers knows their way and they are very good at their work. The new ones especially the copper members are the ones responsible for this behavior with revealing of one's privacy. Now this email are copied by third parties especially the marketing guys and then resale for to other companies at juicy price.
When these companies want to advertise their business, they begin to spam your email with unnecessary messages without unsubscribe button. It's annoying.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is digital gold? on: December 04, 2020, 03:09:34 PM
bitcoin and gold are different, we know gold is a real thing, while bitcoin is a digital object, the functions of the two are different, Bitcoin is crypto, you can say it is a digital asset and not gold

You meant Gold is more like physical thing we could feel, touch, exchange, reshape and reform. I get the difference but don't you think they some similar functions since
  • Bitcoin and gold can be exchange as asset and value transfer.
  • Bitcoin and gold can be traded, one through coins exchange and the other one through brokers. There are even some cryptocurrency exchanges that support trading of digital gold limited in supply.
  • Volatility can happen to both assets depending on the market situation.

I prefer bitcoin because it can yield more than gold.
585  Economy / Economics / Re: world getting ready for 2021 for final year for usa dollar i guess so on: December 04, 2020, 02:54:38 PM
I wanted to say going into war is impossible but who knows, I may be wrong but the chances is low. What do think happen when US and Iran stopped their after so many threats that happened earlier this year? Definitely, It will affect everyone. You wouldn't want to see your family lost their home, shelter, lost business,It takes years to rebuild a country after going for war, no one would like to be a victim.
Beside, US isn't the only country living on earth, if they want one, others would want peace.

Cryptocurrency is a speculative asset, it's move by the people, demand and supply and a little tide to traditional financial assets such as S&P500, US Oil since some of the investors come from that part. They sell bitcoin if traditional markets is bearish.
586  Economy / Economics / Re: Our new economic model could be defi on: December 04, 2020, 02:43:07 PM
DeFi is now way different from the previous altcoins bull run in ICO era, just as of recent, Compounder.finance made and exit scam of $10.8 million, now tell me is this not worse than ICO maniac we once thought the freedom to financial stability.
The above is just one of the examples of how DeFi projects has exploit innocent investors, there are other cases where hackers tapped into smart contracts and move away funds made for pool.

In my opinion, we still have a long way to go if DeFi will be replacing traditional finance system (centralized systems), we need hope, trust and proper governance, not some bullshit that keep on repeating. It's painful in the ass
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ripple a better fit for payment solutions? on: December 03, 2020, 08:53:26 PM
Have we ever discuss how the traditional existing platform will ever accept crypto as mode of payment?
Xrp is very fast with little transactions fee, no doubt about that but how can we handle volatility.
This remain the top priority and that's why banks find it difficult to utilize Xrp, the technology is so efficient and reliable but u don't think banks are ready to deal with volatility in crypto space.
We can see VISA made partnership with USDC ethereum yesterday to roll out cards to its customers in the region of US since the stable currency is regulated in United state. This is why I do not think utilization of coins or tokens with volatility will see adoption anytime soon.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: IF ONLY BOUNTIES WILL KEEP THEIR PROMISES. on: December 03, 2020, 08:00:00 PM
What more can we do? Even in life, when life becomes difficult to overcome, you just had to keep trying since you don't really know the plan that will really work. The same principle applies to Bounty hunting, if most of the promises we have seen in Bounty thread are really true as they claim, everyone on this forum will be super reach by now.
The bottom line is, don't give up participate in almost all Bounties organised by a reputable manager from this forum, one or two payment will surely be paid and will cover the rest that has waste your time and effort.

You may also participate in signature campaigns, most of their payment sometimes are guaranteed and you don't have to keep waiting for payment since participants are very limited in spot.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Data safety on Centralized exchanges on: December 03, 2020, 07:57:28 PM
We know it's the exchange duty to secure user's data but everyone should note that, this data is safe with a third party, hence anything can happen to your data at any point in time.
It once happened to binance when users kyc data leaked in the year 2019, this isn't the first time we are experiencing data bridge. We should be careful when dealing with a platform that requires users information especially centralized exchanges.
Personally, I have two emails. One I used for non cryptocurrency activities, offline work and the one I used basically for online business, multiple registration on centralized exchanges. This way, if my online email is leaked, I don't bother because I don't do kyc since I'm eligible to withdraw at least 2btc in centralized exchanges.

NB: if you are scared of data bridge, use decentralized exchanges.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: December 02, 2020, 06:06:43 PM
All of a sudden, they begin to call bitcoin superior cash just because it's can easily turn one a millionaire with such kind of capital. There were the groups threatening Btc, calling it different names because they didn't get in earlier at the time but today, tye are shillings in other to accommodate other institutional investors.  Grin Grin Grin

But come to think on a second thought, such kind of funds had been pump into Bitcoin in the past even when it made $19k in the past with a market cap of approximately 80 billion, it's nothing new, though but a welcome development.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Peter helping bitcoin pump? on: December 02, 2020, 02:20:45 PM
Perhaps he may be responsible for the recent moves but I don't really think he is fully responsible. Have you check back how Btc printed $10k during halving movement? That kind of movement is natural that's as a result of fomo. He is just an influencer that's probably having share of his wealth in Btc but technically looking at Btc price, it wouldn't belong before we break new all time.
We have been consolidating between $18k and $19k, don't be suprise if Btc make a new all time before the weekend.

The fomo is real, hence nobody want to miss out.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BCHA go to the moom 2021 on: December 01, 2020, 09:27:19 PM
I am sharing with you coin X5 ~ X10 in 2021
Buy BCHA at current price ~ $ 17, sell with minimum target price of X3, or hold buy price X5 ~ X10.
BCHA is currently listed at Binance, Huobi, Coinex, Poloniex, Bitfinex ... and more 😘
This is a safe path to shore, please share with your friends to help them get ashore soon!
Don't forget to join me for a special match!

There is change in cryptocurrency in general, this isn't like 2017 that a single news can pump a coin. Did you notice that bitcoin cash never really pump after and before it fork, that's unlike before where it's expected to make 2x before and after the fork.
Please be watchful of what to buy recently in cryptocurrency industry. I'm not saying you are totally wrong with your analysis but you are missing the main point.
I would rather invest in top gem projects with large capital markets than this new come.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - decentralized finance on: December 01, 2020, 09:19:49 PM
DeFi is sweat with APY that's why you see lots of people investing in them, you should also know that most of these ideas are on paper, when it's high time for them to be implemented, that's when you began to see the other side of the projects.
As you said, the project might not be bug free even despite audit carried out on this projects. I wouldn't even advise any to invest on DeFi projects and I have my reasons.
  • There are cases were Hackers tampered with smart contract and move out liquidity from projects
  • There are also cases where projects happened to have anonymous team, this is unhealthy and will create lck of trust especially when there is no transparency.

Avoid DeFi, my two cents.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges to list new token on: December 01, 2020, 01:57:38 PM
Hi
What is cheap and free exchanges to list a token ERC-20?

Are you considering to list token for your projects?
You should consider other factors before you proceed so as to make investors happier and not end up listing token on a scrap exchange without volume or zero buyers.
Anything free are almost not too good if my opinion, Uniswap is just an example, you may list token on such exchange without liquidity. If you choose to go centralized once, you may end up with zero buy order book. Examples include vindax, fine box, folk delta etcetera.

It's better to raise enough fund and list your token on low budget exchanges such as probiy6pr bithumb or provide liquidity as a team lock them for a year to avoid price slippage.
595  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe support and resistance still work in crypto? on: November 30, 2020, 07:41:29 PM
"Believe" is a weird word for something exists. I mean I do know that support and resistance lines exist and they are there to usually stop small movements, not huge gigantic waves obviously but when you are moving small like few hundred dollars at most, they are there to stop it from going down or going up and I do agree that they are there, like how could I decline their existence?

However if you are asking me if they do worth anything or if they could actually stop or whatever, I think that depends on the wave of the movement.

If it is a big wave with millions of dollars pouring into one side constantly for days, no support or resistance could stop that, they are not there as a huge wall of china type of deal, they are just a house fence and nothing serious.

Most of the time, support and resistance don't work for altcoins movement too, yes!!!
How do you locate a resistance and support when there is real fomo for a coin that's ready to 200%. Chainlink made a rally from $4 to $20 new all time high within 3 weeks nonstop, opening and closing position often with such kind of movement wouldn't really giveout positive results with good PNL most especially when one is trading futures and margin.

Support and resistance work most of the time with Bitcoin as observing currently, we are about to make new all time high, if we manage to do that, it will create another room for new bull run in history of cryptocurrency.
596  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa is getting more interested in Crypto on: November 30, 2020, 07:17:08 PM
The adoption is getting more traction as more companies began to roll out cryptocurrency services, this is good for long run and healthy growth accumulation. Who knows banks will start rolling out the same services by providing such options for its customers? The growth and rally will be massive.
Libra is coming by 2021 if regulation bodies don't bring up another unnecessary law, PayPal is along the way, I believe cryptocurrency dominance may exceed 1 Trillion if the adoption continues at this sequence  Cool Cool
Hope whales don't moves their bags to exchange for sell off, the last week was bad. Market plummet with a - 10% loss.

597  Economy / Economics / Re: More Banks maybe Closed and cryptocurrency exchangers are new way of banking on: November 30, 2020, 11:38:06 AM
The government will not allow Banks to close, because the government gets many benefits from banks. While cryptocurrency is
very difficult to regulate, therefore it is not easy for crypto to be used as payment. As a crypto supporter from the start, I wanted
crypto to replace fiat, but it turned out that my wish was difficult to achieve. Knowing that the government disliked crypto from
the start, even some of the country's leaders considered crypto scams.

Cryptocurrency isn't difficult to regulate, there is something you need to understand. Before approval of an item that's widely used across the globe, government critically observed them before they approve or reject them. That was exactly what happened to bitcoin when it pick to $20k in  2017 and then dump back to $3k in 2018, it was then China started raiding cryptocurrency exchange in their country because they think its a pyramid scheme and used by fraudulent activities.
ICO also contributed to the development, so many millions of funds where cartaway by scammers, this is why they took the decision, enough is enough.

Governments doesn't dislike cryptocurrency, they dislike the way its created because they can't control it and because they are used to launder money through kidnappings and drug businesses with privacy coins such as monero. You wouldn't be happy when your family get abducted and a demand of $100k worth of monero  Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: November 29, 2020, 07:42:01 PM
Airdrop is just one of the ways team make awareness about there projects, they are often between $5 to $10 most of the times but the value may differ because of price change.
They are also good for raising large audience especially when a retweet is needed in twitter and Facebook, it's also a good initiative for creating crypto Telegram community groups and channels.
The challenges I have experience with this airdrops as of recent is stealing of data, when filling Google forms or responding to Telegram Bot, ones details such as email, social handles are required which I don't like to give out to anyone because you may end up been spam or sell of your information. This is always bridge of privacy.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: November 29, 2020, 06:42:03 PM
Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?

Perhaps in the future but I have seen any, yearn.finance that many were depending on was heavily tank as the founder left to another project because his dreams about the project weren't delivered as he expected.
You often come across new projects that are quite promising with full of new ideas but most of the time doe along the probabily due to greed and some dumping of coins on the market.
Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash that were supposed to be the successor didn't go far, so I don't think we have any for now but may be in the future.

600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Your Trading Capital on: November 29, 2020, 05:01:04 PM
As you focus on following a trading process and strategy; you need to also learn how to care for your trading capital. If you have ever seenn courses with risk management; it refers to your trading capital.

How can you protect your capital? You do so by making a trading or investment plan about how you are going to use your capital.

In this market either in a bull run or in a bearish state; we are all alone. In trading;  everyone is here to make money for themselves, the profit you make comes from other traders so Always do your own research.

One thing everyone must understand is that risk management is very important, one should know when to exit and enter the market. Don't loose guard while trading otherwise your capital will becomes another trader profits.
I was once of victim of covid-19 market blast, I had the opportunity to take my profit but I refused, I still had opportunity to exit the market at a stop loss but I never create any. It was down on me when I lost - 50% of my capital which I regreted in my career in cryptocurrency.
Again, avoid paid signal, that shit will ruin you and your capital
