Many Bitcoin users have always dreamed of opening their digital currency exchange platform, although regulation may prevent most of them from doing so. Moreover, it is not easy to setup a Bitcoin exchange platform and run it successfully, as security measures need to be top notch and support has to be handled professionally. What are your thoughts on the Micro:bit computer?

After several delays, the BBC has started sending out free Micro:bit computers to students all over the United Kingdom. Such a hands-on experience at a young age could benefit future Bitcoin development as well, even though these boards are just a stepping stone to potentially achieve greatness.

Have you ever been approached by someone representing OneCoin or any other Bitcoin ponzi scheme?

There has been a lot of talk about various Ponzi schemes active in the world of Bitcoin and digital currency, and how some of these projects seem to target novice users individually. Recruiting new members by hosting a fancy seminar or meeting is a great way to keep up the illusion of legitimacy, and seems to be what OneCoin has been doing for quite some time now. But as most people are well aware of, this program is nothing more than a scam waiting to collapse at any moment.

What are your thoughts on this plan of action by Belgian banks?

Banks around the world are figuring out a way to keep their business afloat, and the customer will be paying the price for services rendered in the long. Things are getting particularly worrying in Belgium, as the banks want to charge a fee for withdrawing cash from an ATM in the future. Other financial services might be targeted as well, although no definitive proposal has been drafted yet. This is another step in the right direction for pushing people to alternative financial solutions such as Bitcoin.

Your thoughts on this integration? Will it be significant for either currency?

The Jaxx team has posted another major update, as they stick to their deadlines exactly as advertised. One of the things they have been working hard on is integrating the Shapeshift platform into the wallet solution, allowing users to buy Ethereum with Bitcoin. That feature has now been added, and users can execute this type of trade when having their Bitcoin wallet open within the Jaxx app or extension.

Are you excited about BitSquare? or is there a different p2p Bitcoin trading platform you are keeping an eye on?

In the world of Bitcoin and digital currency, there seems to be a growing demand for peer-to-peer exchanges, rather than sticking with the traditional model of dealing with companies controlling user funds. Up until this point, very few projects have been released to tackle this issue, although the Coinffeine team is doing a good job so far. But there is a new project on the block which is expected to launch in beta soon, called Bitsquare.

How do you see the role of Elliptic in the coming years, and what will it do for Bitcoin in general?

Banks and other established players in the financial market are closely exploring the use cases for blockchain technology as of late. As a result of this increased interest, there is a growing demand for blockchain service providers, such as Elliptic. In fact, banks are willing to throw a lot of money at these types of companies, rather than to try to develop their blockchain solution in-house from scratch. Although Elliptic has raised US$5m in funding recently, there is still a long way to go before blockchain technology will meet the legacy system.
