100 BTC in encrypted wallet
real screen
download

No risk, no fun

Well, I am very familiar with that 100 BTC wallet screenshot, it belongs to Mr. Alexey Eromenko (Technologov) from Russia. He had mistakenly left his wallet.dat file on public server a year ago and it was available for everyone to download it, but noone has been able to crack his encrypted wallet, read his thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=683813.0

582  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info callback URL not being called? 10mBTC for right answer on: July 17, 2014, 11:07:10 PM
You have to set up a forward address in the "Developers" -> "Receive Payments API" section of Blochkchain.info.

https://blockchain.info/api/api_receive

By doing that, you provide them with an URL to be called every time a payment is received. Data arrives via $_GET

A good example to start:
https://github.com/blockchain/receive_payment_php_demo

note: do not send any amount lower than 0.001, otherwise it will not execute it...

586  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Directed e-mail attacks on: July 15, 2014, 09:10:27 AM
This is a serious email attack that contains trojan to control your machine, not only windows machines but also linux and mac machines are targetted. More information can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=652085.0

Do not download the file attached, otherwise your system will get compromised.

589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | POS - NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS on: July 13, 2014, 04:37:04 PM
So, shouldn't everyone dump their VRC to BTC now? Then wouldn't they get all their previously sold coins back after the fork?

And the buyers will lose both their BTC and vericoin after the fork, it's cool, isnt it ?

593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it normal that Bitcoin Core wallet takes hours to verify blocks and start? on: July 10, 2014, 01:22:17 PM
I installed Bitcoin Core on my laptop and copied ~22GB of bitcoin data from my PC (blocks folder, chainstate folder, wallet.dat ...)
I launched Bitcoin more than 6 hours ago and its still hasn't started. Task Manager shows that its using %60+ CPU and 500-600 MB RAM resources.

Is that normal?

Delete all files and folders inside your roaming/bitcoin folder (except wallet.dat) and start bitcoin-qt wallet, it will automatically resync
594  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost flash drive with wallet.dat on: July 10, 2014, 12:56:43 PM
yes, anyone who has access to your encrypted wallet.dat can try brute force the pass. But if your pass is original, and strong (various combination of numbers, special signs, min. 8 char. long) there is nothing to worry about.

also do not say to anybody how much btc this wallet control. no loot = nobody will try to break pass.

If you have access to the wallet.dat file, it won't be diffcult to dump out the encrypted information for you to see (even though your wallet is encrypted with a strong password). Then we can see which address that holds the money. Once it is found, use blockchain to know how much money in there.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost my wallet password bitcoin 10btc on: July 10, 2014, 12:27:10 PM
well, If you dont have a good idea of what the password was, then the wallet would need to be "brute forced" cracked which is currently not an option for bitcoin wallets.

but if you do, then I can offer you some help

whoever dumped me 12k zs to 200 satoshi order, thank you

someone must've felt pretty desperate:P

I wish ZS had never won mintpal vote, being listed on mintpal truly kill the coin
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zimstake (ZS) - NOW PURE POS - No IPO / PreMine - SHA-256 New Wallet on: July 09, 2014, 03:32:38 PM
Well, congrats to all of the community! It looks like we will finally be listed on MintPal, like so many have wanted.

In keeping with giving the people what they want, later this evening once I get off of work, and after we have been added to MintPal; I will post a brief plan/overview for ZS. This will be things I have most likely mentioned in IRC or at least spoken about before. It has come to my attention that having all my plans listed in the OP and clearly visible to all would benefit the community. This is not a "press release" or "announcement" to drive the price up, but a clarification of my intentions for ZS.

Anyway, congrats to all for the great work everyone has done!

hellowww.. why is it so silent here, has the discussion moved to elsewhere ? we're sinking just like titanic and yet no words from CryptoGir as promised 2 days ago

Well what is there to say? Price is too low to sell. So people are probably doing other stuff or playing other markets while keeping a tab open in their browser looking here once in a while. At some point something will happen, just don't know when. Hopefully it will be something big and spectacular. CryptoGir might just surprise everyone.

and yes the price hit 1k now on mintpal, thanks to everyone especially the dev for doing nothing to overcome current situation. no news update = dead

EDIT : 200 satoshi on bittrex, we're dead already
