581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 27, 2024, 10:31:19 PM
Gambling can definitely be a hobby because there are many people who likes gambling and enjoy it when playing for fun.
But there is a slim line between calling it a hobby and getting addicted to it and there are gambling addicts who call it a hobby but are addicted to gambling itsead.
So we must understand that difference but for the topic of this post, yes, gambling can be a hobby.

An addict wouldn't come directly to say he's addicted. Within him he would think he's not addicted. They enjoy every single part of gambling and crave more of it. When participating in gambling as a hobby staying careful is the right thing doing. As you mentioned, gambling as a hobby has a thin line between addiction. When care is not taken the gambler would have a hard time escaping addiction.

Gambling as a hobby seem to be a daily gambling activity and the player needs to maintain a level of concentration while gambling, daily. What Is most relevant is getting the limits in place. Nothing else. Players who get carried away will find themselves struggle with addiction. While gambling can be a hobby it's a risk for a greedy gambling. Fun players can deal with it, and level it with few months of break. Taking a break is quite effective in recuperating the brain, during those times of rest.
I think not all addicts do enjoy their Gambling session because some of them are even tired of it maybe due to the frequent losses they do get from their gambling habits but something doesn't just sits well with them because no how hard they will try its still circles back and that's why it's said that some gambling cases needs extra hands to tackle because stopping and enjoying an addiction is two different things.
582  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Fight against Yahaya Bello on: April 27, 2024, 10:25:41 PM
To be honest I'm so tired of discussing Nigeria politics and it's corrupt practice's, from all the evidence presented Bello should be tried by the Nigeria court and if find guilty should face the law is as simple as that but no corruption won't let the right thing be done in Nigeria.
The Nigerian constitution should be amended there are a lot of loop holes that needs to be corrected.
If only we can do away with high rate of corruption in Nigeria then and only then we can succeed as a nation.
My brother like you naija politics don really tire and this particular one wey I dey hear about this guy na just dey piss me because I can't imagine how a governor go use public funds go use for him pikin school fees the matter just tire me because this one na the core of corruption and the funny thing is that since then dem never still arrest the motherfucker and for what reason?
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making the Most of $100 bankroll on: April 27, 2024, 09:38:44 PM
Well, if he is to bet on sports games like football, he can still reduce the amount to $2 per bet, which gives him the chance to stake on more than 40 games. I normally stake $1 per game or even less, but if I see a potential game that I feel convinced enough to stake a huge amount, that's only when I can stake above $5; otherwise,  I prefer to just manage my bankroll until I have satisfied my urge to play. Perhaps I don't even deposit more than $20, and I tried as much as I could to manage that amount for the number of games I would be playing.
The only way he could do that is when he decides to go with parlay selection and although it's not certain but I believe most gamblers are too keen with playing multiple selection. But if am the one playing with the 100$ I would probably do the same thing because since the whole context of the game is dependent on luck I would prefer going as low as I can and just enjoying my prediction and hoping that luck do he rest.
584  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Regulation of price by the government on: April 26, 2024, 09:41:31 PM
One of the major problems we are facing in our country Naija is the regulation of price should be handled by the police or tax forces to monitor every citizen selling goods, must of the company really take advantage of the current situation of the price because of the dollar rate, even when the dollar is not high some people are selling a particular commodity or goods in different rate, this is because no one is monitoring them, and it really affecting the poor because of the price rate, don’t you think this is really happening? Everyone should know what I’m talking about. If you go to 4 different stores you will find out that it different prices.
If our government should look into this price of a thing.
The thing be say be no be say dem no get people or agency wey supposed dey help regulate this price of goods but the matter be na how their activeness dey because I remember say there was a time the price of petrol was out of hand in my area and this particular group although I don't know their names started locking up filling stations that was selling above the normal price and the following week that pressure became effective as the whole price took to corrections. If this kind actions is done in every sector and area then price if things atleast go get head small.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: April 26, 2024, 09:31:17 PM
I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.
This means that you are greedy. Do not mind me that I said that. I was like this before. I can win 10x and still continue to bet with the total money that I have and my winning together on a single bet. I even remember a time that I bet like $1 up to when I won $35 and I lost all at ones. It is called greediness and it happens to addicted gamblers. You will need to stop that because you are chasing money and not fun.
This total $$ betting manners comes from when you have excess balance on your casino account, because at a level where you have just a small amount of deposited amount in your account, you won't be tempted to bet with all your total funds, and at some level you will know when to take out money from a casino when you already accumulated a tempting balance amount from your game seasons and rewards.
I think gamblers need to learn more about management because this is one of the way people loses their funds in gambling when they don't have self control. We need to be wise and make sure that we understand and how the risk we are taking before going into gambling. Gambling can be very risky that is why we need to be able to take little risks that would not not jeopardize our entire savings and make us lose money in the crypto market. I have worked with risk management and how to properly gamble so that one would not incur unnecessary loses. Money can be made if we take the actual risks that are necessary for us.
Gambling is a game of risk when you approach it with the wrong intentions and that's why many people or gamblers find it really hard and make so many errors when they gamble. If the act of gambling was actually used or enjoyed as the way it's supposed to be then many wouldn't resort to understand or studying risk management because you would know and understand that what you are losing is what you have deem losable because whatever you do the fact of you acquiring loses is a must .
586  Economy / Gambling / Re: Airbet - 100% 1st Deposit Bonus; 125% 2nd Deposit Bonus; 150% 3rd Deposit 🚀 on: April 26, 2024, 09:25:12 PM
Finally, the long-anticipated thread has come live... It's great to have you here, @Airbet_io.

I have scrutinized the casino, and it's all wow. I love how everything looks. I warmly welcome you guys to the forum.
Well I was surprised at first to see that this casino doesn't have any ANN discussion thread for users to discuss because for a casino to survive long here this is actually vital and it's very important and I also welcome you guys to the atmosphere.

Like you am also giving the casino +1 as the website interface is pretty simple and easy to load although am not too impressed about the Bonus offers but I believe they might offer more in the long run of staying here because that's one of the features that attracts more users to the casino.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blogs and Forums. Additional Features in Online Casinos on: April 26, 2024, 09:17:02 PM
There are online casinos that have a blog where their clients or potential clients can turn, to read gambling related articles without leaving the website. There are also online casino websites that have its own forum for their clients like a community interaction.

In addition, there are the ones that do not have any of these features. While  some of us may just want to sign up and start playing immediately, it is not so for others. Do you by chance consider these features when assessing and selecting which casinos to join and play on?
Well now that you have pointed this out I think I have actually played in some casino having these extra features although it has never being of any interest to me but am sure that some gamblers do enjoy it, where I do enjoy is when am using crypto exchange and one that I like that has something like this is binance exchange but for gambling or casino site, I don't think I actually look out for such features before using the casino.
588  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥 HugeWin.com Presents Mega Jackpot and Bonus Deals for Casino Lovers 🔥🔥 on: April 26, 2024, 09:07:23 PM
Anyone feels the lag while opening the casino site or while toggling between game, or it's just me?

My internet connection is pretty fast, so the speed is not causing this. I am using opera mostly for my gambling activities.

Any suggestions?
I hope the lag you experience is over because I just accessed the site from two different browsers in my mobile and it all when perfectly. Well maybe sometimes the fault might be from your end and sometimes when I face something like this I just clear the cookies in my browser and load everything once more and it usually works fine although their is also the option of trying another browser means.
589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: April 26, 2024, 11:44:42 AM
A lot of social media influencers especially vloggers and YouTubers are promoting gambling usually at the end of their vlogs or videos.
I could see a huge contribution and spread of information that they made especially during this time where the majority are using smartphones already. In fact, we've been seeing a massive increase in gamblers and online gambling sites. But how this could affect the mindset of the kids when they are also seeing these ads/promotions from the social media influencers they followed? I could be wrong but this has a mental effect on them and at a very young age, they are exposed to gambling already which is supposedly not the right time.

I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?
Well you can't actually blame the influencers themselves because with the rate at which everyone is exposed to social media,  regulations aren't really put in to actually stop the particular age that aren't supposed to see this and that's why many people get it all tangle up especially the young ones that are glued to their mobiles 24/7. Most of these social influencers aren't really gamblers themselves but they just do what they do just for the sake of paid advertising.
590  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: April 26, 2024, 11:29:31 AM
Hero member rank
Well although it skipped my memory actually announced this great achievement here at the right time when I ranked up, I still felt the urge to do so because the journey wasn't an easy one and believe me when I say this because if someone actually pointed that I would definitely get or achieve such height here in the forum,  I would definitely be at doubt but thats whats patience and commitment can do.

Today am also a hero member 🙌  and am very grateful and thankful because it took alot of hard work and learning too, this bitcoin community is probably the most lucrative one in the whole crypto community,  well for those that I know of course.

So using this medium to express the gratitude and appreciation of everyone who were an instrument and part of this journey.
591  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Don't sell in loss on: April 25, 2024, 08:07:03 PM
This is 2024 It's  seem we had some early bull which was before the halving and even gave us new ATH  but we are yet to see our  bull run that was too early for a bull run maybe... Not taking to hard, our bull run might not follow the previous  halving  pattern we might even have a early bull run, even  any moment from now  so my give out will be
Keep your holdings and Don't sell in loss

In my opinion, I don't think what he have tasted can regarded as bull run but I know for sure that we are not in bear market, this is just pre hype of the market. I checked the previous bull run and some of the coins that pick up up before the main Bitcoin halving, many coins like Theta did 20x and even Cardano had a lot of pump before the halving but I think the crash that happened last year isn't given some people the trust to come back again.

We may see a big boom in the altcoins market but I'm not sure much about Bitcoin, the price looking to expensive for the price to double and people are not looking to see much return on investment on Bitcoin like before. I think from this price, we should expect a max pump of 5x from this place before 2025.

One thing am certain is that no matter what happens, Bitcoin nai be the coin wey me I sabi as I no dey for anything wey concise altcoins although me I support say the price of some altcoins go pump oo but I no know wether you don even see the way the market dey be with altcoins project, because na two two seconds the thing dey take pump and then drop and Incase you come go buy enter mumu coins na be say ma brother your own na otilo.
592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: April 25, 2024, 07:54:50 PM
But from my experience (having that Beginners luck) i have first have winnings mate , I remember having taste the biggest win in my entire gambling career before tasting complete losses eventually.
but sadly that amount that I come to win in the beginning turns I lose all and extending my losses to more than 50x of that amount up to now.

So I learn that gambling isn't really a place where to take money, instead this is the place where we are buying Happiness and Fun and not continues wins.
I believe there is a theory that's also attached to this particular experience of yours which is the theory about the casino actually being the one's setting trap for the gamblers with that first massive win although it's hair a theory but almost everyone I know that won big on theor first trial always have this same story to tell about actually loosing all out to the casino in amount that's way above the actual amount they started with.
593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: April 25, 2024, 07:11:58 PM
The long ride is what many people are not prepared for, I bet that those newbies who are borrowing money to invest in Bitcoin will avoid it when they get to know that it's a long-term hold thing to make money from Bitcoin.

Borrowing money to invest in bitcoin is a no go area for any newbies, infact not even good for anyone to borrow to buy such a high risk asset like bitcoin, because doing so can lead to more devastating outcome and also put the investor under pressure to cash out the investment and that can build impatient which is against the original profits approach in bitcoin.

Bitcoin is designed for long term perspective and if anything happens in the short term only those that have knowledge and understanding of the risk involved in taking short term stands may be able to make any profits.
First of all, there is no fixed time to when the price might go up and again their is no assurance to know if the price will go up in the time frame you took the loan so the option of collecting loan is a definitely a NO NO. Bitcoin is the best crypto out there and it has proven this time without number so what anyone needs to do to get some good vibes off their investment is to actually go for a long term investment rather than taking huge risk of collecting loan when you know the price is always volatile.
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of Bitcoin halving and my opinion on: April 25, 2024, 07:04:47 PM
Bitcoin halving is part of the genetic mottion to complete bitcoin program in a circle and it's of which every events of bitcoin of a circle is advanced to the previous circle such as the ATH.
About the impact of bitcoin halving, yes it does have huge impact of bitcoin promo by which it's an event period which limits bitcoins price and increases the number of Investors. This alone is a huge impact to bitcoin.
This will be the first real halving but due to the knowledge I have gather from the community, I am led to believe and understand that the halving is significant enough for everyone to step up their game and buy more coins. Due to the past records, it's believe that the price always goes up whenever it's the halving years and this has place a mentality on all Bitcoin investors to actually buy more coins during this period and people get encourage more to buy during this period because there is actually a nice price for those types of investors that are always scared of the DIP or bear season.
595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they on: April 25, 2024, 06:57:49 PM
Perhaps the biggest mistake that beginners make in gambling is that they lack risk management - they tend to gamble according to their wishes and don't care whether their money is sufficient or not. This lack of risk management makes them gamble without knowing limits, chase losses too aggressively, and become emotional, which affects their financial condition. Beginners can avoid this by learning to manage their money and as much as possible to regulate their emotions, so that it does not affect their psychology to gamble continuously and make gambling activities something that is detrimental to them.
Well I can tell you that this particular situation isn't only tagged to newbies because almost all gamblers both veterans and newbie has the ability and possibility to exhibit such habit especially if the gambler sees it as a means of earning money but if you are free on the note that your habit is strictly for fun then you are probably covered.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes made by beginners in online gambling? How can they on: April 24, 2024, 10:24:24 PM
One common mistake I've seen lots of gambling newbies make in online gambling site is, that they are beginning to develop skills and wining strategy by studying the game, which will make them gamble more, and each time they come up with a mindset that they have learnt new strategies. I often laugh to my satisfaction whenever I am being presented with these idea by newbies. Unknown to them that they could easily get addicted if they keep on thinking they are learning winning strategies, while the major overall outcome of their gambling experience is a huge loss. The earlier they realise that gambling is a game of luck and not a skilled game, the better for them.
597  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Why human investment dy rewarding on: April 24, 2024, 10:13:44 PM

598  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: We Don dey enter halving and fee is getting higher on: April 24, 2024, 09:57:09 PM
Normally this mempool congestion matter Na normal thing especially when e don dey reach public seasonal holidays or any event wey dey very significant. Just line the halving, this Na time wey many people go either dey buy or sell their Bitcoin because of to buy altcoins, because it is believed that after Bitcoin halving come the bull for altcoins, but some persons still dey buy more because of the dip wey fit occur to maximise their profit. If person use money wey e dey get from signature campaign take add up to em DCA investment no be bad thing from this period, because later for life n Naim the thing go come dey sweet. So when e reach the dips make we no loss interest in buying more oo.
599  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Advantages of Bitcoin halving on: April 24, 2024, 09:41:57 PM
Truly Bitcoin halving come with many benefits and e dey touch everybody round, Na just miners Naim go first dey reason say their chopping don cut into two, but after when bull don start, dem no go reason that one again because their reward price go come get value, but before then make we no forget say them dey enjoy the increase in transaction fee just as makus talk, the halving they reduce the supply and increase de scarcity wey go come latter make the price increase wotowoto. Though based on the amount them dey spend on electricity I no go fit talk say dem dey make am well well, but one thing is certain, say if profit no dey many for don quit.

The cry for a moderator in the Nigerian local board is not a recent  issue that needs to be addressed, and  seeing the application of igebotz, it gives me joy knowing that a trusted and we'll reputable member of our local board is applying for the position of our moderator. Igebotz has quite a good record and reputation he has built in this forum. He has in time pasted shown the qualities of a good moderator, when the boards was filled up with shitposters and shitpost he help introduce a system that kept the local board posters with the consciousness of making a good quality because they receive tag for shitposts. To be honest that helped keep the local board in a good condition. I support igebotz for his moderator application in our local board. He is a trusted user.
