581  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Who is an educated Person? on: January 06, 2024, 12:24:32 PM
For me, educations comes in different form. The primary and most necessary one is that one is able to read and write after which the most important comes in and that is the ability to think and proper solution to problems.

An educated person is basically that individual that is able to able to make use of his thinking faculty to solve problem. Going to school doesn't necessarily makes one educated, you could be a certified engineer, medical personnel or what have you hand people can see you doing something and make statement like, "you sure this one go school at all?. Education increase your thought process and makes you see things in a vast and better perspective than an average graduate.
582  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Safe guard your seed phrase. on: January 06, 2024, 11:04:30 AM
The first day when I join this forum, I create electrum wallet but I never put Bitcoin inside because I never gather money and some kind Bitcoin knowledge.
But this seed phrase matter, eating I understand about am be say if e lose no way to take recover am back, and yesterday I still see one topic, way talk about seed phrase. by PrivacyG
And this seed phrase are very important to us as a crypto user seed phrases are words that can safe guard ur account
we human being we dey forget things well well, so if we won create electrum wallet them go give us some words and those words nai be our keys to reopen the wallet just Incase our phone lose or get one or two issues.
Some people dey share their phones with their friends, so it is better not to save this ur seed phrase in ur mobile phones or even ur google account because hackers fit get access to this ur seed phrases anytime them yet get small opportunity.
but once you collect am carry pen and paper write am down keep, make ur phone loss nothing concern you, your account still dey for you but be careful where you keep am when you done write am down.
because of the issue of lack of privacy in the as it relates to the use of our device, it's not even advisable to save your seed phrase in your phone and that include your notepad in your phone. The thing is that most of us are very careless with our security, some of us, all the people in our house knows the password to our phone and some will freely give their ATM to anybody to make withdrawal and their ATM pin has become a public property and do when de open a new wallet, their seed phrase goes through that same process.

Write your seed phrase out, duplicate the copies and keep them safe in at least three different location so in case of an accident or unplanned event, you can still use the ones in other location to access your wallet.
583  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Your knowledge from school de help you abi e no de help you? on: January 06, 2024, 10:54:07 AM
Na for discussion forum like this you go know say no knowledge when you don gather so far is a waste. Sometimes discussions go burst out for some board inside the forum like this and if you read through the replies you go find so many persons when de struggle to relate with the topic being discussed because they are probably hearing it for the first time.

For economy board for instance, you go de hear discussion about inflation, monopoly and someny other small small concept when we don learn for secondary schooll snd for you to fit contribute meaningfully, you need understand those terms. Apart from that one, e get plenty discussion when you go fit easily relate with based on the theoretical knowledge you don been gather for school.

So my question be say, how your general knowledge for school don de help you for both the forum and for real life?

If you no get important thing to post, reply to peoples posts and don't make it a necessity to always post and thereby tarnishing the image of the country you are suppose to be protecting in the process.
585  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just a reminder. Don't lose yourself in the process. on: January 05, 2024, 06:46:16 PM
Moderation is very necessary with anything we are doing. As much as you're striving to make ends meet, ensure you take good care of yourself, your immediate family and those you might be in position to help.

While doing this, note that you are not taking care of anybody just so when you have died they will speak good of you. Help people around you because it is the right thing to do. The mistake some persons make is that they are to focused on making money that they don't even want to create any meaningful relationship while they've made all the money, it mostly dawn on them when they are getting old or are at the age of retirement and they now discover that they've wasted all their life pursuing things that they don't even know who they will leave it for.

The goal is to be moderate at the hustle because at the end of the day, no one is leaving this world with any dim.

587  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Advertisement Cryptoexchange in Nigeria on: January 05, 2024, 12:12:57 PM
We are particularly interested in advertising on the radio, especially on WAZOBIA FM. Can you advise us on how to do this?

Who would like to become our representative in your country?
choosing just Wazobia as the source of your advert is too shallow because wazobia FM is just a state radio station that is mostly used by the rivers people of Nigeria and they are only about 5% of the total population of Nigeria.

Running a Facebook ad that focuses on Nigeria audience would have been a preferred option since most Nigerian youth that would be your primary audience are in Facebook.

Most Nigerian youth don't really listen to a radio advert and you my be making a wrong advertising plan if you are still considering the use of radio.

My name is Humayun.  I live in Enayetpur.  I have four members in my family.  I am my sister my father and my mother.  I am struggling to buy a phone.  I found this link very hard.  I would love to work on it.  Someone teach me, I am a very poor boy.  It would be very beneficial for me to do so.  I am studying in Class Nine now I am in Ten. I know a lot about Bitcoin.
welcome to the forum. I understand how frustrating it can be not having the required gadget that will help you to become more productive in this industry. But at this stage that you're are now and understanding that you can't do so well in the forum without your gadget, you can consider doing a part time job that can help you get a good gadget that you will be using in the forum.

While you're doing so, since you already have the one you're are currently using, you can use this time to do research on the nature of the forum so you can grow effectively with time. Don't allow getting a gadget to stand as an hindrance against you growing in the world and age of technology, make sacrifices and make it a necessity to get at least a strong mobile device that will help you work effectively.
589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Myria - thoughts? on: January 05, 2024, 10:18:27 AM
When we get back to £0.012 again I will definitely take some profit , that is a 10x for me and looking back i should have taken some then when i had the chance a few weeks ago.

This is my first bull run so seeing something pump 10x in just a month or so is new to me so I am still learning and soon will understand when is best to take some profits.

now that the value has increase to a very large extent, don't you think it's the best time to sell it out?

Like you've said already, you are just new to this sudden experience of a positive surge in value and I doubt you expected to get much profit from this first investment.

Why not sell it now and at least know that your first altcoin investment didn't yield a loss rather than wait till the price goes down to a point I regret.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: 4 COMMON MISTAKES PEOPLE MADE WITH THEIR FINANCES LAST YEAR THAT SHOULD BE AVOID on: January 05, 2024, 10:09:52 AM
Inability to track your expenses could become a serious challenge regardless of how much you're earning because no matter how small the amount of money you are spending his, if you keep doing it regularly, it would surprise you to know how much you've lost as a result of your carelessness.

One of the best thing you can do for yourself is to make a regular saving immediately you receive your pay, ensure that you send out a particular amount of money so you know that whatever you are spending is just a leftover and you need to be disciplined enough to tell yourEkf that you would not spend more than a certain amount every week.
591  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Who should be held responsible for the problems of the society on: January 05, 2024, 09:52:49 AM
The failure or outcome of every child is first the fault of the parents and second, that of the individual.

The role of a parent in a child's life can't be over emphasized and most of the saucy, rude, stubborn or supposedly wayward people we find in our society are product of poor parenting. Most parent are too selfish that they can watch their child go into irresponsible activity without putting any effort to bring them out of it and as long as money comes a long the way, they are cool with it. But the truth is that any parent that support his daughter to date a yahoo boy was once into street and so it's obvious that the lifestyle is in the blood.

But as a person, regardless of the kind of training you've received from your parent, it's your primary responsibility to take care of yourself and know that if a yahoo bit want to plus up with anybody, it is going to be with you and not your mother and so you need to use your head well o.

His their anything like good or bad yahoo is the first place?
592  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Some important factors that promoted bitcoin use in Nigeria. on: January 05, 2024, 09:42:20 AM
There's no doubt that Nigeria is among the leading Bitcoin holders globally and this is a result of some challenges faced by citizens from a poor banking system to some misguided actions by the government and the central bank that had affected the citizens negatively thereby forcing them to look out for alternative means of transaction and bitcoin become the right man for the job.

Here is a list of events that made people tilt seriously into the use of cryptocurrency most especially Bitcoin in Nigeria.

1.    The exchange rate:
the devaluation of the naira to other currencies is one of the major factors that led most Nigerians to sort out alternative means that will preserve the value of the money they earn since the value of the naira keeps decreasing, it became necessary to look out for a means to invest the naira into bitcoin or other cryptocurrency rather than leaving it in banks that are subject to government regulations.

2.     When people's accounts were blocked during the End Sars protest.
So many people's accounts were frozen because they were publicly seen supporting the end Sars protest and this led to most people converting their naira into bitcoin and other valuable crypto asset thereby increasing the number of users in the country.

Even most politicians are now converting all their stolen funds into crypto assets so that they can't be traced, while this is an abuse of the whole brain behind the essence Of Bitcoin, it has also helped in increasing the number of bitcoin holders in the country.

3.     The high number of Nigerian youth involved in tech:  with the number of youth going into the tech space is increasing by the day, there's no doubt that most of them are active Bitcoin holders and understand the functionality of the blockchain technology and this also has increased the number of active bitcoin holders and users in the country.

Other factors have contributed positively to the feet we've attained in the crypto industry and from observation, it's always that when there is a challenge, people will look for an alternative and that's when the importance of Bitcoin becomes meaningful to them.

In the same way that the outbreak of COVID-19 made Zoom a must-use app for most companies, I am certain that a global event will also happen that will favor Bitcoin adoption globally.
593  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What do you know about Nigeria (History) on: January 05, 2024, 07:59:55 AM

594  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin legendary or first class graduate on: January 05, 2024, 07:47:26 AM
I expected that you where going to give a meaningful points to back up your comparison of a first class graduate to a legendary member of the forum but all you ended up doing was to make attempt in painting education bad. I don't really blame you to be honest because if the educational system in the country is of high standard, you wouldn't have even thought of making this comparison in the first place.

You know, it's funny how we downgrade people that put in effort and where able to come out of their undergraduate journey with distinction and when some of them don't quickly become financially stable, we attack them and make them feel bad.

Do you know that some of the legendary member of this forum could be first class graduate?

Do you also know that academic excellence always manifest in every thing the person does even after he has left school? Anyone that is able to fight his way into becoming a first-class graduate in this our Nigeria university, give him a year in the forum and you will see him climb to becoming a legendary member of the forum within the shortest possible time.

Let me also tell you that it's quite easier to build and accumulate merit up to the legendary position than building a CGPA of +4.5.

Una De do like say this school thing too simple and say those people when take their studies serious de very foolish. The last time I checked, all the first class graduate I have had in my department where literally earning more than a legendary member of this forum is making before leaving school.

No let anybody deceive you oh, except the person when get the first class na small pikin or him village people de follow am for back, getting first class still has a lot of advantage in the society oh,

If you like de play.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees and how we accept its volatility on: January 05, 2024, 07:30:55 AM
greetings to all friends, last December was a pretty bad month for all bitcoin users and also those who actively transact with bitcoin because bitcoin fees were really suffocating, even the highest fee i saw reached $20, this caused a lot of topics to be discussed. discussing this phenomenon, a few minutes ago i accessed the mempool and found that the bitcoin fees listed there were very cheap when compared to last December 2023,

from this it can be concluded that changing bitcoin fees should not be an obstacle to bitcoin adoption.  For those who transact Bitcoin with small amounts, it's a good idea to pay attention to the time because you will definitely find the best time to process your Bitcoin transactions.

It's good to know that the fee is going down!
The effect of the high fee was terrible and it's good to know that those running and looking for an alternative can now have peace of mind knowing that the fee is gradually going back to normal.
596  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: My advice concerning the new trend (No gree for anybody) on: January 04, 2024, 09:41:15 AM

597  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: HODL na purely a mental challenge on: January 04, 2024, 08:52:32 AM
.
Best thing wey we fit do na to move our valuable Bitcoin go where we know say e go de hard to sell am.

as far as it is necessary to encourage holding and put out modalities in place that will prevent you from selling your holdings in times of minimal challenge, it's necessary to also know that one of the essence of making an investing is to have something you can run back to in cases of emergency and you don't want to have an asset you can sell off to offset your predicament and find out that you cant do so as at the time you want.

Holding is good but you should also think on being flexible with it, I feel that you can just hodl much and make it a necessity that you wouldn't sell off from a certain amount so that way you're sure that if unforeseen circumstances come in, you already have a means of protecting yourself and helping yourself with your accumulation.
598  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Abeg make una help me review this "HIVE" of a thing. on: January 04, 2024, 08:39:27 AM
My nija snr men and women, I trowe salama for una oh

599  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What thread can earn newcomers merit on: January 04, 2024, 08:18:35 AM
We all know the beginning stage is not easy as a newcomer needs to be patient. Atleast he or she should be getting no matter how little some reward for their resources in terms of time and materials.
I joined the forum and all I told some people around me about it, the next question is," how much have u earned", I was absolutely discourage as I remained mute till date.
the amount of Ponzi scheme in the society has brain washed people to the extent that they believe that if you're not getting paid easily for carrying out a task, it's most likely that you're wasting your Time.

The forum is a practical definition of if you don't work, you will not eat. nothing comes to you when you've not done anything. You get merited when you have proven to have posted something that is deserving of a merit. And this does not require that you post a thousand stuff.  Their is an account I saw with very minimal number of post but he was able to create one that gave him almost 20+ merit. The goal is just to keep contributing positively, their are people that would be lucky to get it a bit easy while for others, it might take time but just keep going and in no time, you will attain your desired height.
600  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it possible to say there is no money in the bank on: January 04, 2024, 08:11:51 AM
Banks do run out of cash for so many reasons and comparing banks to natural stuff like rivers producing water is damm parallel.
If my assertion is not wrong, the scarcity of money in most banks is as a result of them exhausting their daily limit as a result of the increased demand coming from the customers.

I feel that the central bank always gives out a certain amount of cash to each commercial bank on a particular bases and ones they give out those amount of physical cash, you might find out that their is no longer money in circulation. But if you're doing mobile banking, you can always make transfer and buy whatever you want. I haven't seem people restriction from making transfers just because their is no cash in the bank.
