We are releasing a basic road map. I know it doesn't look fancy but it will give you guys an idea of some things we are working on and some things we plan to work on in the near future. Here's an idea, but I would say that it shouldn't be done till the updates are done & TECH is ready for it to be seen (couldn't hurt to have it ready though)... I have been trying to think this through a bit. I am really just a newbie in the whole crypto-currency world but believe that there is a tremendous upside once John Q. Public starts adopting. I don't have any programming abilities or even anything that I can add to the conversation at this point that is specific and concrete.
The only thing that I keep coming back to while thinking what can "we" do to make this coin better, is what 1) hasn't been done, or 2) hasn't been done as well as this coin could do it.
All I have (at least at this point) is what can we do to make it easy to use, and beneficial to the user by using tech coin? I don't have any answers, but I thought I would post my question to promote discussion.
If I am off base here, please excuse my ignorance.
Your input, my friend, is what this coin needs. Reading your comment I began thinking about my major concern for Crypto, and that is ease of use. So when Grandma wants to start to use a currency, it should be as easy as swiping a credit card. This will lead to mass adoption faster than anything. It kind of gets away from the premise originally behind this coin, but an idea would be to build the coin around trying to get mass adoption of not just TECH coin, but also technologies in general. If we aimed to make TECH as easy as possible to interact with, and also built around the premise of teaching newbies all about Tech, we could be on to something. how about streaming educational videos right to the wallet via blockchain or p2p functioinality.include a nice video/powerpoint tutorial upon wallet installation? This would outline the premise of crypto, the missions statement of techcoin, and then go on to give instruction on how to backup, encrypt, use the wallet. From there, we could expand into different realms of technology It would be nice to see someone make a click along tutorial of it (or any coin for that matter), having opened the wallet with a first step follow along guide Maybe next year, developments will have all worked together & created something like this  |

Looks like a new step of mining (manual), renting (manual/auto), hashlet (auto) & have yet to try it. Sounds like something I'll have to look into, will have to see what Tom14Cat14's results are in a week or so. Looks like it's going good so far, cloud mining.. Think I remember talk about this a few months ago, looks promising.

Looks like a possible idea, but like cecilbdemented posted. Should wait till everyone is ready to get things going with the TECH community. That would be my input, but don't quit coming up with ideas. I will help with the OP, but do not want to be in control of it & can just push out designs all coded up & ready to post (If a new thread is made). I will also hold TECH & help stake the network, better transaction time for future merchants |

Thanks, I will look into adding them. Trying to make it easier for a new user to bitcointalk, have a place to start, have a good list of places to research. There's quite a few sites where you can find all this info (in just that one site), but many people don't know of them & this is a way for them too (if they're starting here in bitcointalk). Saving months of searching & trying to find everything about crytpocurrency, which a few sites are very well informed on everything dealing with cryptocurrency. |

Sounds like some good plans for TECH, but I would also point out that if the new OP is created with designs/clickable links. TECH community should really try to get others to create some translation threads, not sure that google translate works on designs in english & it should be viewable for everyone. Surely people will be happy to help create a few translated OP's, so everyone can enjoy TECH. I would be happy to help with designs for translated OP's, but I would need someone to check the translated text on the design after it's made & before it's posted (incase google is wrong). Great start for a cryptocurrencies list, well done  There's quite a few threads like this with the same concept, but most of them haven't been updated in a while. Might be a good idea to find those threads & add some of the coins from there, but that's up to you. Hope to see this thread active & with over 1000+ coins, having even a small % helps newcomers to the altcoin world |

I will update it anytime, upon new things that could be added to the OP. All you have to do is copy the quote from my PM, saving you time & letting you work on more important things. Like getting a compiled Windows/Mac/Linux wallets & many other things (Window & Mac both in the Github link), TECH is a great name for a coin. Hope to see it stick around for a while P.S. This is just a start (please let me know if I should continue), I will add multiple clickable designs & anything else you would like... As you know I have been a member here at Bitcointalk for years with a majority of my time spent in Alt Currencies. The alt currency section has been pleading for some staff help and I realize it is a low to zero priority for the mods here. Make me a staff member in the Alt Currency section only and empower me to use the knowledge I have here on the forum to do some positive good. That section is a complete mess but I know I could help clean it up. I can moderate without taking sides and make a difference in that section.

Vote Yes for multiple MOD's (not just one), but mostly for anti-virus protection of any download links! Review any & all links before they are able to post them, if this is possible! Surely this can be implemented into bitcointalk forum, but I could be wrong? The bad viruses aren't seen till it's too late, then the MOD's delete the ANN? Something has to change in the altcoin section, new users are going to be discouraged from cryptocurrency from the altcoin viruses & many other scams being spawned everyday. As someone who started cryptocurrency & was discouraged back in 2012 from all the viruses in downloads, then trying again in 2013 to find the same thing.. Now in 2014, the viruses are coming out of the woodwork in altcoins & hope to see some type of change soon.. Edit: Seeing that it's not the forums job to do this is a real discouragement to cryptocurrency, even BTC. If the forum is to just delete & get rid of the altcoin section, it will just happen on another site. This is a good chance to better crypto (bitcointalk being #1 & the biggest chance to make a change), many Dev's are adding useful things everyday & testing with altcoins. Some work out & most don't (tested & tried over 500+), but the bad copies/scams (ones without anything changed, to better the code/wallet/transaction time/etc..) could be avoided by just a few MOD's to help. |

Thanks Tom14Cat14, will make sure to be looking for more & I'm sure there are quite a few Just need to find them, if I ever get back into building websites, Fire will be one of the first couple coins added... Then you can add it to the merchant list, custom build PC's (ready out of the box, plug & play) & also a monthly school/work non-profit donation program is the plan/dream. Hopefully end of the year, maybe sooner or later. I think getting FIRE added to a market-place such as www.Crypto-Auctions.com would be great. We need to start somewhere and I agree, there is no need to make a FIRE only marketplace, as that would probably have an even harder time taking off. I can't make any promises but I have a few steam gifts and such I believe I could sell on there in exchange for FIRE coins. If there are any others with some things they could sell that would be great way to help advertise and support FireCoin. Agreed Never hurts to have a few merchants, but they need to have quality items (my 2 fires). |

I did just change it. We had the 64 bit up. Then someone had problems so we updated it to the 32 bit but I loaded the wrong file the other day.
Ahh, I see. Everybody makes mistakes, good to know that your quick to fix them. +1 Dev |

Is the wallet only 64 bit? Doesn't seem run on an older 32 bit system.
Let me check Maybe i loaded the 64 bit and not the 32. I can confirm that it works on Windows 32bit Vista Business, windows 7 64bit & Windows 8.1 64bit. Unless you've just changed the upload from the 26th? Did you just change it, cause I made the switch on the 32bit on the 26th & just had it open? Edit: If you just uploaded a new one, is it an update from the 26th? |
