Hey, Guys, I am jak3, I came back after 1year. (i barely visited this forum in this 1year) but I remember when I left this forum there was a lot of bitcoin campaigns and a lot of discussion topics. But nowadays people are only talking about altcoins. Can you guys tell me what I am missing till now or what exactly did happen under this 1year? I do have some idea about merits thought. Hope I can get a grip back into the discussions.
Maybe just 1 year is not enough to see a significant differences in the value of cryptocurrency. In the past year, there were many altcoins created, and thats why there are many discussions about it in this forum. |

The sowing season may not be a friendly and palatable season but every wise farmer knows it is the best season of opportunity to get prepared for the looming harvest.The present dip in crypto market is a fertile ground of opportunity for investors to lay hold on as many coins as possible at cheaper prices to store up for the bumper harvest that is imminent in the crypto market.This market dip is a blessing in disguise for me because it affords me the opportunity to buy coins which were before beyond my financial capacity. We must be determined not be distracted by the shout in the crypto market as regards the dip but rather focus on the great profit we will get from the market .I will not quit investing because I don't want to stop harvesting. If we focus on the shout of the dip in market, we won't want to invest but if our focus is on the profit output from the market, then we will keep investing.
The harvest season was at the end of 2017, and we already entered the bearish market from 2018. If you look at the history of cryptocurrency market, it always make all time high after crash of the market. I don't expect green market in near time, but will keep investing as long as i have excess money to invest. |

If you go to www.coinmarketcap.com/new/ , you will see that there are new coins added EVERYDAY.. and they have a decent market cap worth 1000's of dollars.. How do people just make there own coins that easy? and how are they raising so much money?? i mean like, whats stopping a normal person like me, doing the same thing.. just making a random coin and making thousands of dollars?? this is so stupid.. what is the need for all these useless coins?? when is it gonna stop? No, you are wrong. The coins that listed on Coinmarketcap is not a new coin, it must be an existing coin with enough volume trading to get listed there. So, the coin itself has already value, being traded in the exchange, not a brand new coin that just have been created. Many coins already dead before listed in CMC, so it is not easy to list there if the coin has low value. |

Yes i still investing on ICO, and keep supporting the ICO i trust by participating in the campaign. I remember IronX is one of good ICO i participate, and they raised some good amount of funds. Anyway, although the cryptocurrency market in 2019 still at the bottom, i think we still be able to find some good worth ICO. |

What hardware wallet do you recommend to get for storing ETH long term?
Why do you choose to using hardwallet ? Hard wallet is not free and you have to buy it. I think it will be either Trezor or Ledger s Nano. It will be more safe if you using hard wallet than using web wallet. But it will be easier if you just using Metamask and save your private key in somewhere safe place. |

I think that Litecoin halving started the bull run. Always altcoins followed Bitcoin in growth or in crash. But now, for the first time in the history Bitcoin is following Litecoin in growth.
For me it is a good signal. I do not think that Litecoin will rise and Bitcoin will continue with falling.
Well, lets see if this is really bull run for LTC or just temporary surge. I think halving alone is not only reason for the rising price, it must be there are some other things. We know that ETH block reward has been halved too, but the price stay the same in the market. |

Some of altcoins are worth to invest on it, but it will be depends on the development of the coin. If you think there are some altcoins which keep developing in this bear market, then it will be good to buy that coin. Although most of altcoins failed to make a decent products, some of them are good to buy. |

The cryptocurrency space has been discouraging for a while now and there's a possibility for people to want to walk away from the industry. Some persons made substantial investment in purchasing altcoin whose value has greatly reduced and the thought of everything could make one want to loose hope. I'm of the opinion that making profits should not be our only goal in the industry but learning and contributing to its growth should be our focus. There's always light at the end of the tunnel and we would get there very soon. Let's be patient for a little more while, no matter how long the night lasts, the morning will surely come. Don't give up yet.
But it is a fact, that many peoples buying cryptocurrency to making profit, it is the main goal. When crypto doesn't meet the expectation of the peoples, peoples start to dump crypto and the price fall. The main goal we must should persuade is the adoption of cryptocurrency. If peoples using crypto globally, then the value will not falling anymore. |

Almost all members in this forum talk about bull run, coins that are good for investment and so on.
now I have a number of coin assets that I got from several bounty projects last year. the amount is not small when compared to other bounty participants, but the coin coins among them no longer have a volume on the exchanger.
maybe even the coin will be a worthless coin.
my question is. if there is a bull run when Ethereum, Bitcoin, EOS, Stellar and all other coins are greatly increased, will some of my coins be worth again?

Yeah, it will affect your coin price when the bull run comes. If the market is on bull run, it will attract more peoples who want to buy coins to hold and they will search for the token which have a good project. Unless your coin project is bad, i think there is still possibility for your coin to be valuable. |

Some investors and traders are complaining of not making profits like they used to, when the market was better. Instead or profits, it has been loses.
If you find yourself in this situation, why don't you ask yourself; what method am I using that is not making things to work out?
It will surprise you that the method might be archaic or that it might not work for this period.
Why don't you change it.
For instance, you always wait for long to get huge profits within 24hrs, which used to work for you. Since the market is bear, why don't you reduce the time and be satisfied with small profit. Then gradually, you can accumulate more.
Just by holding coins in this bear market won't producing much profit, unless you hold it for very long time. There are some movements price in the market, even in bear market. So the best choice to make profit is trading on the market i guess. |

That is true. If cryptocurrency was not adopted by peoples in the first place, there wouldn't be any bull run in 2017. There were already many peoples using bitcoin and other altcoins as a payment currency. We must make it happening in the future, so the value of cryptocurrency won't falling anymore. |

For now, most peoples still prefer using fiat currency than cryptocurrency, so i think the fiat banks will stay exist. But if later the peoples around the world adopting the cryptocurrency, then they will prefer to using crypto than fiat. If that time comes, it will only the matter of time that fiat banks in the world gonna collapse. |

I am holding EOS and currently staking my EOS into some block producers of EOS.
The EOS coin price will be depends on the usages of EOS dApps, i think there will be more dApps create by the producers in the future.
Holding some coins i think will requiring long time to gain earnings and profits, at least until the market recovered from the bearish market.

It is because most of the ICO projects cannot give the Return of Investment to their investors. The token price will reflected by the project itself. If the project has been adopted and used by peoples, the token value wouldn't falling into the bottom or zero. |

I think it is quite risky to submit your private key on other website to get the keystore.
Just use your metamask and import the wallet using private key you own.
Honestly, using private key or keystore everytime you login is not a good way to using your wallet.

Is it very bad if a coin has a low daily trading volume? The known coins have at least 6 figures or more traded daily at the very minimum. And of course btc and the top 10 coins are traded in the millions and even billions daily.

Based on what i experienced, not all coins are bad if they trading in a low volume. Some security coins are created to be held in your wallet, but it is still a good coin that give you incomes. So, it will still depends on the project, not on the trading volume in the market. |

What if 2019 is the beginning of another dump?? What would you do as a investor?? Wait till your portfolio goes to zero?? ... or sell whatever is left of it??
We know 2018 is not the year of crypto, but what makes you think 2019 will be profitable for crypto community ? If there will be some big news in 2019, it will become profitable indeed. I think it is safe, most peoples all around the world using it as a stable cryptocurrency. They have a legal statement from their auditors that the dev really backing the USDT coin with a real USD money in their bank. You can try to avoid mistakes, but never be afraid of making one and neither should you be afraid of failure.
The fear of what will happen might be a limitation.
Cryptocurrency sometimes can be very complex and funny, most especially when you find yourself in a situation you have never been exposed to.
When the market is all good, mistakes are not easily detected, but when the situation of the market seems to be on a negative side, then fear sets in and sometimes, we become afraid of what may likely happen if we take a step further, to do what we have never been exposed to.
Even if you eventually fail, it is a stepping stone to become become better and achieving greater success.
Mistake is something not to be afraid of, it is something that has to be corrected. If we never done any mistakes, then we would not know what is the best way to avoid that mistake in the future. Dealing in cryptocurrency will requiring some experience from mistakes to get a decent earnings. |

For example, you have some altcoin (in my case it's Metaverse ETP) and you expect it to grow. But in a weak market, this altcoin behaves like bull and you have the opportunity now to sell it and buy an asset that looks weak in the market (for example Qash, Tierion, Nem, Odyssey or Republic Protocol) in order to get the greatest possible profit. Or leave a strong asset and wait for its further growth. What do you think about this?
It is necessary to diverse your asset in cryptocurrency because you won't know what will happening on your coins. Even in trading, i think we need to using multiple coins to minimize the risks we take. Put all of your eggs in a single basket is not a good think to do. |
