582  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-20] Dark web marketplaces AlphaBay and Hansa shut down on: July 23, 2017, 11:43:54 AM
Alphabay was all over the news for the past week but Hansa? I have never heard about it before. Are they as big as Alphabay?

I hope they are trying to hide their tracks well. I do not use and go to the darknet but I reckon they should use a good anonymous cryptocoin like Monero to be safe.

Hansa wasn't as big as ABin terms of vendor but they had a different multi-sig setup for payments, and fewer issues because of that, in contrast with the site wallet of AB, at least as far as I could tell early 2017. As AB got worse, people moved to Hansa.
Yup, AlphaBay's shutdown sent traffic flooding into the smaller Hansa marketplace. But that new traffic of tens of thousands of users was unaware that Dutch police had already taken control of Hansa, giving them the ability to identify and track buyers and sellers. The Hansa market also got shutdown after that.

Hahaha! Those stupid fleeing criminals weren't too stupid to see that coming!! Idk, I don't condone buying drugs or weapons so why should I give a crap about this? So what, people used bitcoins. It's not going to affect the price.

You are wrong about price. When government take control over large amount of BTC they just dump it (saying from past events) causing massive, but short time price changes

584  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-20] Dark web marketplaces AlphaBay and Hansa shut down on: July 21, 2017, 03:27:30 PM
This once again proves that dark net markets don't have a viable long term existence right. It may take some time, but eventually they all go down for whatever reason. I must point out that a lot people on reddit are more or less looking at dark net markets from that point of view as well. In most cases they are quite easily accepting their loss, from where they then move to the next most popular market - that's what I call being realistic. Smiley

One of the reasons why multisig is great idea. Even if they take down the site they cannot get any money. And if they got taken down nice thing to do is releasing private keys(if admins are not in jail lol) so users can move their coins.
585  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-20] Dark web marketplaces AlphaBay and Hansa shut down on: July 20, 2017, 08:08:16 PM
I am not surprised by this at all -- deep web doesn't offer people an ultimate form of privacy, they should know that by now. I am actually surprised by the stupidity of the people behind the scenes compiling all this news. Bitcoin was pointed at (on tv) as being an illegal underground currency.... Roll Eyes I thought we were already over that, no? On first sight it may look like bad news for people, but these situations are a 'golden' opportunity for those looking to benefit from the gap these large market places have left behind. New markets will pop up like there is no tomorrow, all in the hope to offer these wandering users a new home.
These are bad news. We still don't know if government took control over private keys of wallet used for escrow by this marketplaces (Hansa used multisig, but not for all transactions), and it's always a bad thing when government contolls large amounts of bitcoin.
586  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-07-20] Dark web marketplaces AlphaBay and Hansa shut down on: July 20, 2017, 05:42:57 PM
Looks like Hansa market is also down at the moment.

AlphaBay and Hansa – two of the largest “dark web” marketplaces for illegal and illicit items such as drugs and guns – have been shut down, the US Justice Department said on Thursday.

Police in the US and Europe, including the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Dutch National Police, partnered to shutter the sites accused of allowing thousands of vendors to sell illegal drugs, of which Europol said there were 250,000 listings on AlphaBay alone, with 200,000 members and 40,000 vendors....

588  Economy / Digital goods / Eckmar's Digital Shop Script [89$] [DEMO] on: July 18, 2017, 08:59:48 PM
Eckmar's Digital Shop Script

Back-end of script is built on Laravel PHP Framework and front-end is built partially with Laravel Blade Templating system and partially with VueJS (Everything except admin panel) in order to increase user experience when using the script. This script will allow you to run service that other users will use to create their own shops. You will monetize with custom percentage fee for every transaction and premium user status upgrade.

Requirements:
  • VPS (any specs) in order to run script

Main features:

High Customization

Every setting is customizable withing the global script settings. This include fees for normal and premium users, minimum withdraw amount, cost of premium users and much more !

Premium User System

Since script was made with fees in mind there are two type of user accounts. Normal and Premium. Basically system allows you to set price of premium account to anything you want and have their fees lowered.
Example settings:
Fee for normal users 6%, Fee for premium users 3%, Premium account cost: 10$

Feedback System

There is feedback system in place. It will show feedback score calculated from percentage of positive feedback from total number of feedback. It will be shown on user store.Buyers are encouraged to leave feedback with their every purchase.

Messaging System

Allows anyone to send a message to seller. Message will be displayed on dashboard (messages section) and seller will be notified of this action.

Notification System

Most actions that happen on script will trigger an event that will send email to the user in case. For example email will be sent to buyer when he get a new message, or when someone buys his product. Email will be sent to the user that sent message with reply (user does not need to be registered in order to receive reply)

please note that this system is disabled on demo page!

Wallet system

When someone buys product seller's wallet balance will be increased. When user get enough balance (there is option available that defines minimum balance required for withdraw) he can request a withdraw with his preferred payment method (BTC or PayPal)

Multiple Payment Methods

Currently there are two payments methods available. Bitcoin And PayPal. Script does not use any payment processor or gateway, payment is done directly with the API. With PayPal it's pretty straightforward, script communicate directly with PayPal API when making payments. For Bitcoin custom system was made similar to BitPay's payment gateway. User must deposit required amount to newly generated address. Address will be checked for the first hour while user have tab open in his browser. If payment is made later, user must manually click on button in order to check for payment (this was done in order to save system resources).

Admin Panel

There is admin panel in place that will allow user with right permissions to edit another user account details, give or take premium status, ban or unban users, edit products, delete them etc...
Also there is monitoring dashboard that will display some basic statistics along with current profit made from both premium and fees

Selling terms and conditions:
  • I'm selling only script, I won't help you install it (YOU WILL GET WRITTEN INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS), edit it or whatever you want to do after you purchase it (I can do this for the right price and if I have time, pm me to check)

590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The great tsnuami of selling used GPU's..When will it commence on: July 16, 2017, 09:16:13 PM
I am also waiting for the gpu flood. A lot of noob will sell the cards after they realize they won't be rich in 2 months! Smiley
I am planning to buy a lot of 1070/1060 but I won't buy any AMD from the RX series.

RX4xx and RX5xx will worth almost nothing in 6 months, so the best what you can do if you have one to sell it and buy an NVIDIA.

Bullshit. AMD will always offer better solution for mining due to price. And even right now I would still say that mining is profitable as you would hit ROI in line 10-12 months which is fine if you give it a little bit of thought. Where else can you invest and expect ROI in a year ? Can't wait for newbies to start selling their cards so i can buy them Smiley
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is your local Craigslist / Kijiji flooded with GPUs ? on: July 16, 2017, 09:13:06 PM
It's kinda expected for newcomers to just dump when they see that they are not making as much as they expected. Unfortunately not many of them in my country selling atm. (I would buy now for example Smiley )
592  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Very interesting software on: July 14, 2017, 08:08:11 PM
Why don't you think like a big boy. If this was for real, why would someone that can predict what cryptocurrency price will be in future share it with someone when he can make literally billions ? It's probably just malware when they require you to download it.
593  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-05]Darknet Market AlphaBay Down: Exit Scam or Maintenance? on: July 10, 2017, 11:17:06 AM
Ok, it seems that the days for AlphaBay are over (if it wasn't like that a few days ago already). I am not sure how much value we can add to certain posts on reddit, but the main point of these posts is that the staff (and then mainly those higher on the ladder) have been arrested. Another post on reddit points out that DeSnake has been doxed, and for that reason has trashed everything to get rid of potential harmful evidence against him. It's impossible to know what's going on with so many trolls around there. I personally hint at two thoughts; (1) the operators have just performed an exit scam, which is a likely scenario. (2) there have indeed been higher ranked staff members arrested, which is less likely than the first option.

Have you found any information about memebers being arrested ? I've looked over reddit but nothing
594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: July 05, 2017, 10:14:27 PM
...

If you are traveling and lose your credit card, but in a country that has a reasonably active Bitcoin scene, you can sell some BTC to pay bills while "over there".

This may become an issue for us.

Here is a case for having an online wallet, "travels anywhere".

Don't we all have our online wallets secured by 2FA?  If so - better make sure that when your credit card gets stolen they don't take your phone/yubikey or what have you also!

Problem with online wallets are not that only are less secure its that you are putting your money in someone else's hands so you have to trust company hosting the wallet in the first place
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Scaling issues on: July 05, 2017, 09:44:31 PM
Do NOT go to either of those reddit links that "tomkat" posted above, you will only get more confused if you are new.
sadly those two places are mostly fights and endless arguments that will make any newcomer more confused than helping them.

Do NOT listen to such bullshit. Use all available sources of information.
You think that it's good for newcomers to read someone's bullshit on reddit ? (Not saying its all bad but most of it yes..) It's better to learn here.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Anyone Included Their Bitcoin Portfolio In a A Will? on: July 05, 2017, 09:42:27 PM
Good use for a multisig address. Isn't it better to just explain to family members what to do now with their own key etc than leaving instructions how to import private key etc... I mean you would be leaving it to someone so I guess you can trust them with private key.
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Good Reason to Own Some BTC on: July 05, 2017, 09:38:04 PM
With current transaction fees it's not really worth to pay for some "small bills" since the fee will be like 50% of what you are paying for.
598  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Bitcoin Cloud Mining Script - Pay % you want on: July 03, 2017, 04:22:33 PM
Do you have demo login/pass?

We have a medium sized farm but looking to expand and thought about hosting miners for clients.

Looking for something along the "Cloud Mining" route, but without the scammy nature that general comes with it.

So a demo could be handy to see what we can do with it?

The website you are looking is made specifically for scamming people. If you want a "legit" cloud mining service you are better off just hiring a developer to make a new website for you (btw if you are interested in that send me PM  Grin )

lol you dont know about nothing for programation.   all the system workss withc cron job and work with blocktrail api. to make the payments and check balance and pay for referral system... pls talk when you kwnou what you say pls..

yeah I don't know shit about "programation". You are selling script made for scamming people that you stole yourself. And just for your information please check this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1879294

It's easy to know that you only talk and not know. This script is mine. I have not stolen it or copied it. Please take care of your wthat  you say you can not accuse a person without proof.

hahah now I'm totally lost here. Are fisher666 and kingdice21 owned by a same person ? And yeah I'm sure he/you did not made that script because simply he/you does not have knowledge of English which is mandatory for any kind of programming.
