ssaCEO, I don't disagree with what you've said, but here's the thing:
They can't make a bitcoin poker site illegal unless they make "free" poker sites illegal as well. To do that, they would have to legitimize BTC as a valid currency and as "real" money. That's the last thing they want to do... so a BTC poker site would be tough to shut down on those grounds, simply because it would open a different can of worms that no one in the current financial industry wants opened.
The government doesn't make the case that Zynga credits are a form of currency, but Zynga would be violating state and federal law if they allowed a market to evolve in which their credits were traded out for money. Okay here's a question that's pretty off-topic but still related to the concept. In Diablo 3 where they have the real money auction house that allows you to sell and buy gold for real money. Aren't they technically making their own currency and therefore should be illegal?

Well I've been thinking. In December there's gonna be ASIC mining but the block rewards are halving too. What will happen to the Bitcoin exchange rate? The ASIC is gonna flood the market with coins but the block halving is gonna increase the price of coins. So in December are bitcoins gonna plummet, stay the same or rise?

I really appreciate your continuous generosity but I'd like to pass the prize off to someone that would put it to more use than me. Maybe I'll win a different time, anyways. Keep it up senbon.
. I'll take the keychain if you dont want it. I'll even pay for the shipping I've wanted one for a long time but was always too lazy to order.

Not that I'm taking deposits or anything but what does halal-shariah mean? Just curious.

also I see that you are part of the GLBSE PPT cabal, are any of these OEIO funds being fed through in to Pirate's S&T, or are they completely isolated from any risk there or associated with P's borrowing? In other words do you guarantee the funds lent to you here in the event of a P default?
This OEIO isn't a FPS&T arb. I do retain some holdings at FPS&T but its only for idle coins I don't have in play for other things. THIS OEIO has been used to expand my mining operation (just yesterday purchased another 5GH of gpus), to take advantage of various market arbs, as well as some short term loans to various parties. My exposure to PPT is currently 100 BTC and will always be a measured risk shared with the other 5 parties. @INAU many thanks, I take it then that you do therefor guarantee these OEIO funds in full in the event of a Pirate default - that's what I was hoping & had assumed when I made my investment therefor I am happy to leave it with you for diversification purposes & to support your mining ops etc Let's face it, a FPS&T default would have major effects on the economy and it wouldsome effect on my short term liquidity. I keep a local slush for everyday transactions. I keep some funds at fps&t. I keep funds at various markets. I have pending payouts from a multitude of pools. If everyone asked for a withdrawal at the exact same time, I would have some issues. If I sat on all coins invested with me, I might as well just return them as idle coins make no money other than possible appreciation. In short, in the case of a fps&t default, I would honor all of my current debts and investments. With all this talk nowadays about Pirate defaulting, this statement is still true right?

Don't get the point of selling debt. It is worth 0 now he defaulted ... It is not like you will ever get that scammer anyway. Even if you have ALL his details what can we do ( legally ) to him ? Most likely we get sued for harassment because BTC is not legal tender and he has not committed a criminal offence Let's say I lend you some of my rare baseball cards and you promise to give them back to me in one month. Let's say the baseball cards are worth about $1500. Now let's say you do not return them when you said you would. Has a crime been committed? Could I go to court over this claim? Are baseball cards legal tender? Answers: Yes, Yes, No. BTC is a virtual good by legal definitions. I would LOVE for somebody to take the likes of Linode and Tom Williams to court over BTC. LOL Good luck getting BTC thieves into court No wonder you're one. We can't sue you, eh. There's always street justice

I don't see what you can possibly do with .04 BTC.

I've decided to make a spreadsheet game called the 50/50 game. It's called the 50/50 game simply because both opponents have a 50% chance to win, it requires no skill at all and purely luck based. Example of how it works Player 1 is the round starter. He PMs me or posts on this thread and I'll give him/her a deposit address. After I get the deposit, I'll update the spreadsheet so anybody can challenge him or her. Player 1 has the option to either remain anonymous or I could post the name. After the deposit is listed on the spreadsheet, anybody can challenge him/her by sending me a PM or posting on this thread and betting exactly the same amount as player 1. Then I will either use a random number generator or have a video of me flipping a coin (only if 1BTC+ though because I don't want to waste my time) to select the winner. The winner gets 99% of the pot and I keep 1% as a house fee. How to read the Spreadsheet Player 1: The person who started the round, could also be anonymous Amount: The amount of money bet Method: The method used to determine the winner random number generator (RNG) or coin flip with a youtube video (1BTC+ only) Player 2: The person who plays against player 1 Winner: The winner of the round Payout info: Blockchain.info link to prove the transaction was paid out How the RNG method works I use a random number generator with the option between 1 and 2. 1 Means player 1 wins. 2 means player 2 wins. How the coinflip method works I'll flip a coin while recording. Heads means player 1 wins, tails means player 2 wins. Video will be uploaded for all to see. How do I know you won't cheat? I will NOT be playing the game myself. That would be incredibly unfair. I have no reason to rig the game for anybody. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArprjLNQsg4PdFVaMDhuVjJ4OHk1dm5fcFNoQ25ub3c

Need a clean response. Is there another service that allows me to put money into mtgox via my bank account or debit card? (USA) For little to no fee.

So here are some of the claims that Dwolla made to me today:
It is totally within their right to change their terms and conditions of using their service without giving any prionotice to their customers. That's right, despite any existing contract law, Dwolla can just change contract midstream , and they don't even have to tell people.
To move money out of Dwolla, you MUST either link to a bank account, or supply a SSN, and be part of Facebook or Twitter.
I told them that I didn't have an SSN, and that SSNs were technically only for Federal employees and it was a felony for me to claim to have one, and their manager, Ian, told me that that wasn't "germaine" to the conversation and had to hang up.
These guys are just purely criminal. I already knew because of what happened to Tradehill but I wanted to trade on the exchanges that take dwolla so I used them anyway.
I guess I just paid for it. Lesson learned. Fuck Dwolla, fuck their employees and their dogs and children as well. May they all die of anal cancer.
They didn't ask for your real SSN did they? They only ask for your SSN. I put some random digits the same length as an SSN and it accepted it o.O But I'm still closing my account

Seeing that nobody is posting. You could always get a cheap Amazon gift card and buy it from Amazon. It's still discounted but you just jump through more hoops.
