sync from start, delete peer file too... if you'd like I can make a copy of my DB to help you out... I still have 12 connections, so I know i'm on the right chain
Reloading of a blockchain didn't solve a problem! Restored again with 1 wrong node! Please execute "getpeerinfo" and write the list of the correct nodes on a forum! what ambercoindev really needs to do is ban the forked people from chain for a certain period of time... that way everyone can unfork with a DB rebuild.

Still no response to my open ticket on C-Cex, but I see that they have Amber back in maintenance mode again.
I'm not sure how they handle cases like this? Anyone know if they replace lost coins when they mess up?
they could have done what I did, which caused me to be on a forked chain... amber dev released a wallet 3.0.0.2 right before 3.0.0.3... if you upgraded to .2 and ran it, it forked your chain even if you upgraded to .3... they are likely going to have to resync completely to be back on the right chain. Yeah that's what I'm concerned about. I believe that means the amber I sent from their site last night is now on the wrong chain. Not sure how they'll handle that, but I'll be sure to let everyone here know. it'll show back up in your wallet once they resync

Is anyone mining solo? Difficulty dropped very low. I am finding blocks and they are getting confirmed but I am wondering if we forked.
I'm solo mining it hard core... I have 50 blocks in the last hour

So I backed up my wallet.dat file. INstalled the new wallet and everything seems normal. Can I unlock it now and start staking again? It still says I'm out of sync. Do I have to backup my wallet.dat file, then delete the ambercoin folder/uninstall the ambercoin wallet completely then reinstall? It now says I'm synced up. Am I making this too complicated? Is it really that easy just install a new wallet? I haven't needed my backup wallet file I don't think. Is the backup just in case something goes wrong?
Just run new wallet... no need to delete anything.

Today (23.11.15) at 19-00 GMT a MANDATORY UPGRADE of AMBERCOIN wallet is planned To make smooth upgrade please do the following:
1. Turn off your wallet. (now or any time before 18-30 GMT)
2. Backup your wallet.dat file! (it is located in "%appdata%\Ambercoin" directory on Windows)
3. Wait until 19-00 GMT (or any time after this time)
4. Download a new wallet and run it. (download links will be available at 19-00 GMT)
Thanks! Can you post the source, so that those of us that build our own wallets, can compile prior and be ready.

I need an older client. Because when I add a wallet from the older platforms it crashes the current version.
So I am unable to stake coins sent to addresses in March.
In other words I can not access my coins.
what error does it crash with? It's odd because I've been able to update with current wallet.dat everytime.

Wow. New wallet already? Way to go! This is really great. I'm so glad I'm holding this coin. It pays out dividends and it looks like it will continue to survive for the next years. Price is really cheap right now, and it would be the perfect time for me to buy more and become a shareholder. By the way, I was thinking if it was possible to stake Ambercoin with my Raspberry Pi 2? They really started working on it, when I pointed out the OpenSSL vulnerability.

How would using addnodes reduce orphans?
didn't say it would... because you're going to connect to a DNS seeder... was just saying how to get a list of nodes
|
|
|
try addnodes mate it worked once for me
Done! Now I'll wait another 20 days for the outcome... Thanks! if you ever need nodes, check out the block explorer on the main site... it gives you a list (unless they change the code)

Guys, can someone help me with this:
can you copy all the details of one of those transactions?

What is your processor speed capacity?
BTW, when I am running Mintcoin it uses 810MB RAM. I am still on build 2.0.0.1 though.
RAM is being addressed... CPU was addressed in 2.0.1
|
|
|
I thought the newest build was supposed to help use less memory? Mint is using almost 700MB & its not even staking. What is it doing do hog up so much system RAM? Also the CPU usage is 28%- 43%.
your cpu usage is a bit high... open debug window and provide version please

dev, so whats going on with wallets? are we safe? i dont understand codes so if anything under danger let us know please
if you're running windows/mac then it's recommended to have the wallet upgraded... running on linux, it works off your openssl installed/patch as long as you patch it along the way. i have a windows wallet but how to upgrade it? as i know if dev publish new wallet and im downloading it and using it. but i have the last wallet on this topic. Either Dev needs to compile with new openSSL or someone else that compiles wallets needs to do it.
