581  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does the future of bitcoin look like?? on: May 21, 2018, 09:10:02 AM
I don't agree that the reason why Bitcoin's market cap is going smaller and smaller in the entire crypto market cap is its use in the illegal business and transactions. If it is true, then Bitcoin would not have grown so fast and big in a relatively short period of time. If we take a few steps back, we would realize that the largest circulation of Bitcoin in its early years is found in the underground. And yet, despite that, Bitcoin went crazy, conquering even the mainstream.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it a good idea or not? on: May 21, 2018, 06:38:55 AM
I know the price of all crypto currencies are now started to recover,so I just want to convert my portion of bitcoins into Ethereum, because I hope ethereum will have better growth rate when compare to bitcoin.

So what you are thinking guys is it good idea or better hold as bitcoin.

We have the same technique. Of course, it is expected that the market will recover. It is not easy to say when exactly this will be fully reached but what is easy to tell is that all of them coins will recover. Bitcoin is going to get back and even get higher than $20,000 in the next months but Ethereum might be the one to multiply its price more times than Bitcoin's. I am also making my Ethereum holdings bigger.
583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Different From Other Currencies? on: May 19, 2018, 11:30:21 AM
Bitcoin is different from other currencies in so many ways. Bitcoin is a digital currency, which means it is fully digital. Unlike fiat, it does not function outside the internet. Furthermore, it does not depend its function on the laws that are being implemented in specific countries; it crosses borders. Bitcoin is also very much unlike other currencies because its value is very aggressive in its growth.
584  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Much Should You Invest in Bitcoin? on: May 19, 2018, 02:14:14 AM
I often get asked privately if Bitcoin is worth an investment. My answer is a whopping yes….invest your time.
The price fluctuation of Bitcoin is certainly fascinating, but how cryptocurrencies (and blockchain, more on that soon) will affect you, your job, your business, and humans collectively is far more lucrative.
The financial (and in turn, geopolitical) institutions are about to go through what the media (music, books, TV, newspapers, cinema) industry went through since the rise of social media during the past decade.
Your investment in time learning about blockchain uses will far outweigh the investing of your $ € ¥ £ etc..

For a beginner, your investment in time indeed outweighs your investing in money. There is nothing you can get if you are investing from ignorance and total deplete of knowledge. You have to establish yourself first before starting to invest. And when you are already knowledgeable about what you are getting into, you can already proceed to invest the most that you can.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think Eth will break $2,000? on: May 19, 2018, 01:34:31 AM
When do you think Eth will break $2,000?

Very soon. Keep your patience with you and control your emotions. And oh, by the way, please fasten your seatbelt real tight because we will be flying fast in a short while. Ethereum is expected to multiply its value in the coming months. $2,000 is just a few steps away. The year will come to end with Ethereum reaching more than $4,000 or $5,000. This is going to be a very profitable year for Ethereum hodlers.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: May 18, 2018, 07:35:21 AM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

It will change in the future. But for now, we have to bear with that and make some money.  Wink I am also with the idea that Bitcoin should finally serve the real reason why it was invented in the first place. But since it has grown so much so quickly, the demand has not stopped a bit. It is only getting higher and higher resulting to an even rising price. Volatility therefore takes place.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fall of cryptocurrency on: May 18, 2018, 06:58:56 AM
What about the crypt? tell me when it will unfold? Or give a sign at least some, because I'm already beginning to think about quitting the game.

My guess is that you are still new in cryptocurrency. Perhaps you have not yet even bought your first set of cryptos and create a portfolio of your own. And you are already thinking of quitting the game. That's too early. Try to enter into the community a little deeper and you will understand why the crypto community members are so much enamored with the technologies in crypto. The rise of crypto has just begun.
588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to find good cryptos? on: May 18, 2018, 05:06:14 AM
Hi,

there are so many cryptos and I find it hard to identify the ones where I should have a closer look.
Obviously one can find cryptos e.g. by listening to shilling on Reddit. But I'm looking for more professional sources like YouTube channels, free/ paid Telegram/Discord groups and so on. What do you use?

I guess what you mean by cryptos here are coins offered in ICOs. If you mean cryptos as the ones that are already available on crypto exchange platforms, the higher the rank of the coin, the more you can trust it. So I guess ranking plays a big role. In terms of ICOs, you can scan the running ones in several ICO review sites. You can easily Google them. You may also visit the ANN section here.
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with Bitcoin if it never scales? on: May 17, 2018, 06:07:18 AM
If Bitcoin stops scaling, then it also stops living. Bitcoin will eventually die. If it will only act as a store of value, which is what's going to happen if it stops scaling, then Bitcoin is not anymore the Bitcoin that we support. The majority will leave. It does not serve its purpose anymore.  The issue of scalability, being the bottleneck of Bitcoin, has been given enough attention by the new coins coming out, thus defeating Bitcoin in this sense, although I believe the Bitcoin team will never ever allow this to happen.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This guy has lost 103 Bitcoins on: May 17, 2018, 05:17:07 AM
This guy has lost 103 bitcoins he mined back in 2011 and then lost his wallet dat file similar to what I have done but wow this guy must be gutted the amount of money he has lost compared to me

His Address    166BuLPWHUjqoqiYp5rGE3B5r5AmqgHpoL    Final Balance   103.20832384 BTC

So many people have the same problem and I wonder just how much Bitcoin is stuck not being able to be used Sad

He says "I used to mine Bitcoin back in 2011 and I lost my wallet.dat file (through several stupid moves on my part). It's got approx 103 BTC in it, anyone is welcome to it, I've given up trying."

One will definitely end up exhausted trying to recover it. It is very close to impossible to recover it unless several top-graded hackers will use all their talents to try to get them back. He could have thought of it and yet decided not to proceed since these hackers are mostly working anonymously and might not give him back what they recovered. There must already be a treasure worth of Bitcoins outside people's access.
591  Economy / Economics / Re: Digital Money = Cashless Society on: May 17, 2018, 04:36:24 AM
It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.

Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.

Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.

Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??

Bitcoin may be broadly considered part of digital money. However, it is a world different from the digital money that you mentioned in that they are not cryptocurrencies. When you mentioned debit cards, paypal, alipay, bankwire transfers, online payments, etc, you were basically referring to fiat money. Fiat money developed into a cashless form of money with these methods but then they are still fiat money and are still very well under the sanction of the banks.
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government and Bitcoin on: May 16, 2018, 06:31:28 AM
Why, until now, government all over the world still doesn't trust bitcoin?

Because the people in the government are so busy keeping their pockets full that they miss to keep themselves informed of the new developments in the world. I am appalled that a lot of the people in the banking sector, in the government, in the central banks, and other relevant agencies of the government are fully ignorant of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. This somehow affects the image of crypto in their country or it keeps it hanging.
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you guys pay Taxes for profit? on: May 16, 2018, 04:37:09 AM
Hi.

i didn't traded so much of my crypto for FIAT so i didn't dealt with that question yet.

however i think it's an issue need to be dealt with.

1. do you use accounting services?
2.if so, do you keep documentation of all traded or bought coins?
3. what do you do in cases of profit from ICO's

WHAT SHOULD I DO??

I am not paying any tax for my profit. Profits are not coming everyday after all. Sometimes, there are losses instead of profit. I also don't use accounting services. I don't have much so such kind of service is not needed for me. I have participated in a few ICOs before and I gained some profit but I did not take a portion of it to pay the taxes. Crypto is a step away from the government.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: May 15, 2018, 08:11:04 AM
Whatever others say, the truth is that there were several myetherwallets that have been hacked. MEW is indeed not the storage itself of your coins but still it can be used to get access to your hidden treasure. It does not mean that because it is only a UI it cannot get hacked. So make all the necessary steps to maintain the security and safety of your MEW account. MEW account hacking happened not once or twice but several times.
595  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL vs Day trading on: May 15, 2018, 07:16:02 AM
Hi. Just wanted to know u guys opinion of do the day trading and hold. Thank you in advance.

Day trading is better than hodling in general. It makes better gains than hodling also. But day trading does not come in handy. It requires a lot of hard study and practice. And I think you will have to go through some bad results in the early phases of day trading practices. But as your experiences accumulate and your understanding deepens, you will get it eventually.
596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that other coins move faster? on: May 15, 2018, 06:36:17 AM
Do you think that Bitcoin has become too slow to compete with the relatively quick alt coins out there? Is it realty competitive to have a slow community rather than a centralised decision making in development?

In other words, does the community effect of decentralisation enough to counterbalance the difficult decision making processes?

Bitcoin is somehow moving slowly as compared to very new altcoins. This is understood because new altcoins are still on the process of creating their starting products. They are still on the process of earning some trust from the crypto community. They cannot simply lag behind their roadmaps, lest their investors will became impatient and eventually leave their project. Bitcoin on the other hand has complied everything. They only need to strengthen itself.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY SHOULD YOU BOYCOTT ICOS THAT DEMAND KYC? on: May 14, 2018, 04:07:46 AM
KYC (Know Your Customer) is an infamous procedure we have mostly run into while dealing with banks.
Sadly for the whole blockchain industry we see many ICOs demanding KYC in vain.
Read below why you should boycott such ICOs:

https://medium.com/@filip.poutintsev/why-you-should-boycott-icos-that-demand-kyc-29a5b43904fb

Why do you have to boycott such ICOs? For me, I don't boycott ICOs simply because they are asking for KYC. I invest in ICOs because my personal assessment and the reviews I read about their project are saying that they are going to become successful. The KYC will follow much later. If I found out that the ICO I want to invest asks for KYC then I will just comply rather than totally forgetting the prospective gain that I will have from such ICO investment.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: May 14, 2018, 02:56:22 AM
By plan i mean when do you plan to cash out. Is it when you have made enough to buy a car, a house maybe? or are you setting your sights higher?

Personally i'd just like to own my own home, after that i would just play with spare change.

I am setting my sights farther and higher. I am dreaming of making my own house and buying my own car. As of now, I still don't have the amount that I need in order for me to finally make my dreams come true. That is why if I withdraw from my crypto investments, I only withdraw a little amount, enough to buy the daily stuff that I need and some little allowance.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: May 13, 2018, 12:00:54 PM
Worst decision? Have you seen the price of Bitcoin turning from a small molehill into a huge mountain? If you are still disappointed with this then I do not know where you are coming from and from which point of view you are looking at the crypto world. Perhaps you failed on your own crypto techniques and crypto investment decisions because the way I see it Bitcoin is growing really great and fast.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token bounty must hold or sell? on: May 13, 2018, 11:00:17 AM
I have bounty tokens that I did not hold for a long time. At the same time, I also have some bounty tokens that I am determined to hodl for a very long time. This all depends on how much the project is showing in terms of determination and success. I have bounty tokens whose projects I can sense will become big in the months to come. The tokens that I receive from these projects will stay with me until such time that they already produce something significant. This includes the tokens that I will receive from Streamity.
